I woke up wishing that I really didn't.

I was in another world, an anime world where people can shoot out fire from their mouth, walk on water heck, even create things with the help of chakra. They're so many things that I could rant about with the ridiculousness and straight up unfairness of this world but the one that is of importance is;

Not having a class is a NIGHTMARE

Playing games was os easy because, you knew the strength and weaknesses of the class you were playing for. A mage was a glass cannon, weak against physical attacks yet a heavy hitter. A knight was balanced, possessing some skills to resist physical and magical attacks but not as strong as mages. Archers and Theives were DPS's, possessing the agility to use hit and run tactics which made them dangerous in their own rights.

But as for me... I DON'T HAVE A CLASS at least a standard class which made levellng up slow as HELL and not even worth it as gaining a level adds 1 to all my stats in addition to the 5 free stats points I got which was as good as NOTHING.

I'm calm. I'm peaceful. I'm a bubbling fountain of positive outlooks in the middle of a barren wasteland of lunacy and I am NOT about to let my chakra out and start destroying things because that would be a bad, BAD thing that might cause me to go back to my pickpocketing habits just to buy new things.

Speaking of chakra, the fight with the zombie brute made me realize the importance of chakra control. if I was able to use my chakra effectively, I would have probably easily beaten that brute and even if I couldn't, it would have been helpful especially with the brute's high resistance to physical attacks.

Nuff said it's time to get up

Making the painful decision to stand up, I went to prepare for school although not being in the mood for the boring but helpful classes, more so since I had no idea on how to use chakra and chakra wasn't a system of energy you just brute force.

That could bring consequences.

So right now, my prime objective was to figure out my chakra. But first I need to eat before the game makes me die of starvation or something.

Thankfully the fridge was decently full. So whipped a large portion of sausage and eggs before devouring it like those zombies tried to devour me.

And I was greeted with a pleasant surprise after I was done cooking.

[ Cooking - Lv. 15/100]

- Lets you cook a variety of meals, and enhances the effect of food.

Huh, the high level must come from the fact that I already know how to cook, although how I knew that was a mystery, since I don't remember crap from my last life but that was nice regardless.

Obviously, I wasn't going to spend time grinding it out at the moment. At least now I knew I could also get mundane skills and maybe even increase them beyond mundane.

After I was done scarfing food down my throat I plopped myself down on the couch and checked on my gains.

22x Undead Flesh

3x Iron Daggers

2x Gatcha Tokens

1x Small Strength Crystal

I grabbed the str crystal out of my inventory and it plopped into my hand. It was a red translucent gem the size of my palm.

[Small Strength Crytal: Break it to get 5 Str]

'Score!'

I gripped my hand and crushed the crystal.

After the crystal broke, the pieces turned into red energy that entered my body and made me visibly get bigger.

[5 Str]

Next I brought out the Iron knives

[Iron knife]

It's a knife made from iron, do I need to say more?

Okayyyy??

Now onto the gatcha tokens. What the hell were they?

[Uncommon Gatcha Token: Can be used to roll the random gacha to get an uncommon item]

On cue, I saw a new screen pop up in front of me. A gacha screen.

Gacha.

This system has a gacha feature.

Random roll.

Grinding

Rate up.

10 Draws.

5-star craft essence.

Rate-up is a lie.

Rate-up is a lie.

RATE-UP IS A LIE

I snapped out of my episode and looked at the tokens. Seeing as there was no 10 1 draw option I had no reason to wait to draw my gatcha. Who knows? Maybe I will get something like the Enuma Elish?

Hah, as if. I would be grateful if it just didn't give me cock shredder 9000.

At least hopefully the gatcha doesn't scale with my luck. With bated breath and a clenched ass, I pressed the roll button.

[Skill book: Fireball]

[Blackout Sunglasses]

I brought out the book from my inventory.

It was a purple book with dark pink borders in the middle of the cover were 3 green dots on top of one another with the middle one being the biggest. For some reason, it felt awfully familiar but I ignored it and used the book.

[You have learned the skill: Fireball]

[Fireball Lv. 1/100]

Cost: 500CP

Shoot a ball of flame. Deals (Int x 2) damage. Has a 5% chance to inflict burn.

Good, I grinned and got dressed for another boring day at the academy

I threw my bag on my couch as I sunk into it as well. School was another day of social interactions and actually helpful class, I actually had a fun time actually with the social interactions, seeing Suzume lose her kinda bitchy attitude as she sucked my dick was pretty funny.

So yeah, I had fun.

Anyways, play time is over now it was time for planning.

Right now my most pressing issue is my chakra control, I can't fight anymore zombie brutes without chakra and even if I can, who knows what suprise the game will give me when I fight the boss.

So yeah going dungeoning without chakra was a big no-no.

Quest alert!

Quest: Increase your chakra control

Chakra Control is an essential skill to have for all shinobi, you're no exception. Your terrible chakra control must be fixed at all cost. Maybe then you will be less embarrasing.

Objective: Climb a tree with only your feet.

Rewards:

Chakra Control (Apprentice)

1000EXP

5 WIS

Now that's what I'm talking about. Also Game, I saw that.

'ID create: Empty'

I suddenly found myself in a forest standing in the front of a big tree.

Now that I was here I realized that I've never searched how they'd pulled it off so I just tried gathering all of my chakra to my feet and running up it as fast as I could while pushing the Chakra out.

The wind picked up and I watched as the tree slowly tipped over and hit the ground, the massive hole my Chakra had punched in it having weakened its integrity.

I smiled.

I can use this.

Gasp* *Wheeze* *Huff*

I did it.

I lay on my back panting as I looked at the ID's red sky

From now on, anyone who criticize Naruto for his poor chakra control will get a stab in the gut from me.

Seriously though, willing and stabling the right amount of chakra in the feet just to run up a tree is basically torture, it's so difficult that it's like trying to mop the ocean, which is to say absolutely impossible. But anyways, I fought against all odds and-

Completed the god forsaken quest. I sighed and immediately regretted it as breathing out sent a sharp pain in my lungs. I escaped the ID and shrugged off my clothes before crawling to my bed for my eventual eight hours of sleep.

Rebirth*

I appeared back inside the dungeon. But the moment my feet met the cracked pavement I did not give myself even a moment of reprieve. I was here on a mission.

Quest Alert!

Reward: Taijutsu(Apprentice), 5 Str

Quest Alert!

Quest: Now THIS is a knife.

What could be better than punching your enemies?, Slashing them of course. While brute forcing your way through your enemies is cool and all, there'e still nothing better than achieving a thousand kills in a single second with a blade. Although you're yet to hone the master swordsman in you but that's what this quest is for.

Condition: Defeat 100 enemies using [Crimson]

Reward: Kenjutsu(Novice), 5 Agi

Great, this game really knows how to spoil its player. Whelp, this may delay my clearing of this dungeon but it will be well worth the rewards.

I activated my Chakra as I coated my whole body with it. Creating a cloak of chakra around myself. I could maintain it for long at the cost of my health but that's why I have HP regeneration.

[You have acquired the skill: Chakra Enhancement]

Cost: 10CP/s

You can use chakra to cover your entire body. Reinforcing your entire body and boosting all physical stats.

Adds (Int Wis)/20 to all physical stats

WARNING: Using the chakra enhancement for an extended period of time can inflict damage on your body

That was a little bad as a starting point but I could work with it. I sent Crimson back into my inventory and started dashing like a madman toward the first zombie I found.

It tried lunging at me but I sidestepped it and elbowed the back of its head. Nearly popping it like a balloon. The inherent destructive capacity of chakra alongside enhancement makes these zombies feel like they are paper mache. It only added around 2 to my physical stats but that was a big difference at this stage.

I dashed to the nearest zombie once again. And once again defeated them with one punch. Knowing that the paltry exp that the zombies gave me wouldn't really be enough to level up at the pace I wanted I dashed back to the boss arena.

Any enemies I saw I either broke the spine of or dashed past. Eventually, I came across the big guy himself once again. But with me tripling his agility I quickly outmaneuvered behind and kicked the back of his neck full force. And with chakra behind that kick, it killed him just like that with the critical hit.

[You have slain Zombie Brute(Elite) 200exp]

I zoomed forward plowing through zombies like a run away bull until I encountered the second brute. It charged at me but with my increased agility, I easily dodged the attack and punhed out, sending a wave of chakra from my fist bringing the brute down on one knee. A well placed kick sent the brute's head flying.

[You have slain Zombie Brute(Elite) 200exp]

I continued my rampage around the ID, killing the rest of the brutes, in their credit some of them actually gave me a challenge as their stats were improved from the first brute I fought. also something I noticed was, HP didn't really matter up much. a fatal injury could lead to the HP meter bottoming out.

I know, I've been there before

But anyways I had completed the quests.

[Quest Complete: The Art of Throwing Hands.]

Rewards:

5 Str

Taijutsu (Apprentice)

[Quest Complete: Now THIS is a knoife.]

Rewards:

5 Agi

Kenjutsu(Novice)

And the difference was noticeable. As soon as I got the skills I felt the information get engraved into my mind so seamlessly that it was like a part of me that I had lost. Like I suddenly gained muscle memory of it.

I suddenly knew how to wield the blade in my hands. How to swing it effectively and where to target better, the flaws in how I wielded it previously. It was like months of muscle memory got downloaded to my brain.

I used Crimson to finish off some stragglers and after those were done with I hopped down from my perch and waited for a few minutes to top off before looking for the floor boss. And I found him rather easily, he must've been attracted by the noise.

But the moment I saw the boss for this floor I felt like I had a Vietnam flashback.

'You couldn't have been more original game?'

In front of me was a very skinny... thing. I could basically see its skeleton, it only wore some ragged suit pants. But that wasn't the distinct feature. It was the fact that it was missing half of its damn head. And seeing its bigass ears it must really on sound to maneuver. But...

'Isn't this guy from a goddam thriller webtoon?'

[Blind Ghoul - Lv. 15(Boss)]

50 Str

60 Dex

10 Vit

An evolved ghoul with immense lethal prowess and little to no defense. It may not be able to see by its enhanced hearing makes up for the deficit.

But it is either that the game had decided to throw me a bone or I got incredibly lucky because from what I remember these guys are VERY vulnerable to flame. And judging by the fact that the feller hadn't moved for an entire minute since I came here his senses must SUCK.

So learning from my fight with the brute and wanting to gain more practice my fireball skill, I willed my chakra to cast the [Fireball] and a basketball-sized ball of intense flame was created and shot out from my lips. But as the ball of flame was heading toward it, it heard me casting my jutsu and raised one of its root-like arms.

WOOOSH!!!* *Crack*

I jumped to the side just in time to avoid the root-like arm of it turning into a spike and shooting out at the speed of a bullet. Narrowly avoiding getting impaled by the monster before I remembered what its ability was and hurriedly channeled my chakra throughout my body as I raised my arms in an x form.

Right on cue, the spot where its tentacle arm pierced exploded into dozens of sharp tendrils extending from it and piercing my body in several spots. They dug in deep even with my chakra up, a testament to how sharp and powerful its tendrils are, but the monster wasn't the smartest apple of the bunch as soon my slow-ass fireball reached its face.

BOOOOM!!!*

"GYAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!" The monster let out an agonized scream as the powerful ball of flame that cost me a large portion of my CP bar exploded right in its face, and seeing how it was covered by orange flames it must be inflicted with burn. I can see how its hp plummeted as the fireball itself took out around half and it was still losing 5% every second from its weakness to flame.

It better be, that attack was overloaded with my CP, I had figured out that I can overcharge spells for more power at less efficiency which was nice. The overcharge rate seemed dependent on the skill level too.

Honestly, I nearly pitied the blind monster with how fucked it was by the flames. What should've been a climactic and suspenseful boss got oneshot. Almost being the operative word though. I prefer my bosses being one-shot than barely eeking out a win.

Hopefully, this pattern would continue.
