'Three Mules for Sister Sara' (a Next Generation story)
The Birthday Party for Captain Picard was quite a smash.
'Q' and little sister 'Susie-Q' butted in at the last minute.
But they both behaved politely? Well... As much as possible.
'Q' even wore his earlier Mariachi outfit for the occasion. Yes!
Susie-Q appeared not in her trademark magenta/pink leotard
but in a Star Fleet uniform... Magenta and black: a bit like Riker's.
But the 'pips' on her collar were rubies. Real rubies... Five of them.
'Q' gave a rare vintage of French wine. 'Susie-Q' gave Earl Grey tea.
A Twinings tea box. Vintage but quite fresh... Skipped far across Time!

As the party later winded down...
Susie-Q: "Brother... You must like that place on Earth... Mexico it is called, yes?"
Q: "On occasion. I like many things about Earth... Earth History. The clothes and habits."
'Q' could see that mind of his adopted kid sister working. Furiously? Well, after a fashion, yes.
Though he thought of her as 'little sister' she was quite an ancient being. Maybe even older than him.
He did not even know which planet or star system she was born into. Maybe from a parallel universe?
In fact, 'Q' knew relatively little about Her. But likewise, he never shared all of his background either? No.
They simply enjoyed each other's company as members of the Q-Continuum. With all of the benefits and
all of the challenges as well. Such as the ongoing battles and war with the Continuum's 'Ancient Enemy'.
