Undertaking The Quest

In Jane's guest bedroom, Sir Theodore was covering Jane with a blanket.

Jane's chest was rising and falling while she slept on, the Eternal Nightshade had made her breathing shallow.

Gunther was pacing, he stopped and turned to Sir Theodore, "How is she?" Gunther asked.

Sir Theodore sighed, "The same as she was when you asked me thirty seconds ago." he replied.

"Right, sorry," Gunther said. "I'm just worried."

"I know," Sir Theodore said. "I am too."

Sir Theodore looked down and watched Jane's shallow breathing for a moment.

"Sir Theodore?" Gunther asked.

"I am surprised though," Sir Theodore said. "considering the strength of the dose, I would have thought the effects of the poison would be more severe by now."

"Well let's not look a gift horse in the mouth," Gunther said. "we'll probably need the extra time to save her."

"Corbett should be here any minute," Sir Theodore said. "if anyone knows how to beat the poison, he will."

"I hope so, they say a large enough dose of that stuff and you'll relax so much your heart will stop." Gunther replied, starting to pace again.

"Gunther," Sir Theodore said. "you wearing a hole in the floor won't get him here any faster."

Gunther stopped pacing, "You're right, Sir Theodore." he sighed.

A few minutes later, Corbett appeared in the room with Jane's dragon sword in hand.

"I won the duel, Sir Theodore! The rest is up to Gunther now." Corbett said.

"What do I have to do?" Gunther asked.

"Gunther, in order to free Jane from the Eternal Nightshade, you'll need to undertake a quest to find the ingredients for a cure, here is a written list of what you'll need to find." Sir Theodore said.

Corbett handed Jane's sword off to Gunther.

"Gunther, you'll need this sword to help you on this quest." Corbett said.

Gunther took Jane's sword from Corbett's hand. "Thank you." he said.

"You'd better be going, Gunther, we need those ingredients as soon as possible." Sir Theodore reminded.

"You can count on me, Sir Theodore." Gunther said, taking the list of ingredients and Jane's sword with him.
