Three days have passed since Ladybug's death, Paris was left in mourning for their fallen Superhero. Marinette wasn't taking it well since she looked up to Ladybug. Marinette is at Notre dame for Kate Stevens' funeral. She looks up and sees a man with fair skin, short black hair wearing a black suit with a dark blue tie.
"You may not know me. But my name is Peter Stevens. Kate was my wife is or was Ladybug before her untimely death. When I married her, she told me she was Ladybug. I knew for three years and we planned to start a family." Peter said as he was trying yo hold back his tears. "We discussed about starting a family and how she could handle being a mother and superhero. But I'm sure she would have found a way."
"She was married?" Marinette quietly asked herself.
"She mentioned that she would have passed the mantle of Ladybug to a new successor. But I have this to say to the successor. I want to say this, don't be like Kate, be your own hero. Make her proud. Protect Paris from any threats that threaten our city."
"I will." Marinette quietly said.
"I don't think he was referring to you." A man whispered to Marinette.
After the funeral, Marinette returned home, head towards her rom and look at the earrings on her desk. "Ok what does earrings have to with being Ladybug?" Marinette asked as she looked at the earrings which each earring are red with five black spots.
Marinette goes on her computer and types in Miracle Box on Google, but it had no results. Marinette grunted in frustration and then she gets a call and she answers it.
"Hello?" Marinete asked.
"Hey Marinette." Alya greeted. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm fine. I just came back from Ladybug's funeral. It was pretty sad how she and her husband wanted to start a family." Marinette said. "It's a shame. I think she would have been an amazing mother."
"I bet she would been an amazing mother." Alya said. "But I'm just checking up on you."
"Like I said I'm fine." Marinette said. "But I can't believe she's gone."
"It's going to be hard for everyone." Alya said. "I'm trying to write a tribute for her on the Ladyblog."
"I'll let you get back to that tribute." Marinette said.
"Ok talk to you later." Marinette said as she hangs up. She looked at the earrings and sighed. "Why did you give me these earrings? What do these have to with Ladybug?"
Marinette picked up the earrings and placed them on her ears. But then a bright light shines in front of Marinette and it reveals a tiny creature with a large head, dark blue eyes and freckles. The creature resembles a ladybug with two antennae, a large black spot on her forehead, back, and each side of her head, and a short tail with three tips aligned vertically.
Marinette screams at the sight of the creature and fell backwards. "What the hell are you?!"Marinette panicked.
"Honey are you okay?" Sabine called.
"Yeah mom. I'm fine, I just saw a trailer to a horror game." Marinette lied.
"Ok then." Sabine said.
"What are you? Are you an alien or monster that wants to steal my soul?" Marinette questioned as she gets back up.
"Neither. I am a Kwami. But you can call me Tikki." Tikki introduced herself. "I see that you are the successor of Kate Stevens."
"My name is Marinette. Wait you knew the last Ladybug?" Marinette asked. "Where were you when Kate Stevens removed her earrings?"
"I quickly reverted back into the earrings." Tikki said. "You weren't ready to see me until you place the Ladybug Miraculous on your ears."
"Wait Kate mentioned something about you?" Marinette said. "Do you know where the other Miraculous are?"
"I do know where the Miracle Box is. But I'm sorry Marinette, I am forbidden to reveal its location, only you can figure out where it is hidden." Tikki explained.
"Dang it!" Marinette grumbled. "So I have to find the Miracle Box on my own."
"Sadly yes." Tikki sighed.
"But she did tell me how to become Ladybug." Marionette said.
"Ah yes. In order to transform, you need to say is Spots on to become Ladybug, and say spots off to transform back.
"Ok got it." Marinette nodded.
"But there is something else to know. Lucky charm, you can summon an item that's ladybug themed. But be warned once you use this power, you have five minutes until you revert back to Marinette." Tikki explained.
"Ok I got it." Marinette replied.
"Anymore questions?" Tikki asked and Marinette shook her head. "Ok good now say Tikki Spots on."
"Ok Tikki Spots on!" Marinette said.
Tikki flew into the right earring and Marinette's clothes changed to a red jumpsuit covered in black spots with a yo-yo attached to a red sting attached to her hips. Over her eyes is a red mask with five black spots on it and two red ribbons holding back her hand.
Marinette looks at her reflection in the mirror. "This is my outfit? It feels tight." Marinette responded as she placed her hand on her hip. "But how do I pee in this? But Never mind that, time to go on a test run."
Marinette opened a window and exited the room.
Meanwhile in a Massage shop, a short Chinese man with medium gray mustache, goatee and eyebrows, wearing a red Hawaiian shirt with a white hibiscus flower pattern, tan capri pants, dark brown shoes, and a bracelet with triangular carvings and shaped like a turtle, with a black string tied through holes in the turtle's head and tail to make a loop.
The elderly man is mediating until a light green kwami with yellow eyes, green pupils, and an antenna on his head. He also has a slightly darker green turtle shell on his back and a short pointed tail.
"Master Fu! I sensed the Ladybug Miraculous has been activated. It appears that the next Ladybug Sucessor has transformed." The Kwani said.
"Thank you for informing me Wayzz." Fu said. "We must find Kate Stevens' successor. We must teach them how to use their abilities properly. Before Hawk Moth takes another life."
A/N: Well Marinette has to be the new Ladybug, find the Miracle Box, and fight Hawk Moth. No pressure. But I will say this I have some things that will be different from the series. As you can see Wang Fu will be around and yes he will be the mentor in this story. Anyway please read and review.
