The triplets were about a month old and life was chaotic for their parents. At times, both women found being new parents to be overwhelming. Santana was almost at her breaking point trying to get Liam and Lucas to calm down while Brittany was feeding Leo upstairs. This had never happened before.

Usually Brittany or one of their parents was around her to help, so it was rare for Santana to be left completely on her own to care for one or more of the babies. Brittany had some experience with babies from taking care of her little sister and cousins, along with the many babysitting jobs she had done as a younger teen.

For Santana, anything that involved taking care of infants was more of a struggle. She was an only child and had little to no experience with babies at all, other than the crash course she was being given with her own children. She had gone from having no responsibilities to being a mother of three overnight.

Santana had never thought of herself as maternal but now that she had her own children, she was desperately trying to be a good mom. She had checked both of them repeatedly to see if they needed to be changed - she was learning to get better at handling diaper changes these days even though Brittany did most of that type of work - had played music for them, sang to them, set them down for a nap unsuccessfully, and had even taken them for a drive around the block a few times in her car. Drives usually helped when nothing else did but this time it wasn't working.

The two in her arms had identical red faces and practically screamed down the house. She cradled and bounced them in her arms gently but both of them were unimpressed, still flushed in the face from their tantrums. It figured that Santana's babies would be unimpressed by anything. She knew Whitney and Pierce could probably hear them from where the couple were visiting a neighbour and she felt embarrassed, especially since the babies had already kept the couple awake the night before.

Eventually Santana at her wit's end went upstairs to Brittany, even though she didn't want to bother her fiancée. They'd had a very rough night having to wake up to feed the babies every three hours. It had been particularly difficult to get their sons to settle down and they were both still reeling from it, even though they loved being with their children.

"Britt, I don't know what to do. I've tried everything. Should I try to give them a bath?" She sniffled weakly as soon as she saw Brittany, finding the blonde lying back on her bed with her shirt pulled down as she quietly and patiently nursed the third baby, Leo. Santana's mind was blank, her head hurting, and she found it difficult to form any coherent thoughts.

Brittany gazed at her sympathetically, her heart breaking at the sight of her lover. Tears were rolling down Santana's cheeks and her voice cracked. The blonde knew Santana was on the verge of a full on crying spell herself and barely keeping it contained. Brittany herself had very little energy left to give but she instinctively knew what Lucas and Liam needed.

"Oh, San. I want to hug you right now but my arms are a little full and so are yours. Baby, have you tried feeding them?

Oh. That would help.

"Oh, damn. Geez, Lopez, you really couldn't have thought of that one?" Santana mentally cursed herself for not thinking of that obvious solution, smacking her hand to her forehead. The shame and embarrassment caused a flush to rise to her face.

It felt like they had only just fed the other two not that long ago but sure enough Liam and Lucas instantly calmed down when she started to bottle feed Liam and gave Lucas to Brittany to allow him to nurse. Leo was taking his time with nursing. She felt like such an idiot. How could she be such an irresponsible mother?

"I'm sorry, Britt. That should have been obvious to me. I mean, you shouldn't have needed to remind me."

"It's alright, don't beat yourself up over it. We're both so tired and disoriented," Brittany reassured her, covering her mouth as she yawned. "See? They're better now. They were just hungry."

At least Brittany was remaining calm through all of this. Santana didn't know what she would do without the blonde to keep the four of them calm when they were freaking out. Now that the babies were quiet and she wasn't desperate to soothe them, Santana could think more clearly.

Santana eventually walked downstairs with Liam, stroking his back gently. He whimpered and hit her cheek with his tiny hand, as if comforting her or acknowledging her. She plopped herself down on the nearest couch.

"I'm sorry, Little One. I feel like a terrible mom," She groaned, keeping her voice quiet to avoid winding him up. She knew Brittany wasn't blaming her for anything but she felt overwhelmed with guilt. "I'm such an idiot."

At some point, the front door opened and the Pierces returned, chatting to themselves. Whitney walked into the room, hearing what Santana had said and noticing the depressed look on her face. Santana soon realized Whitney was standing there and felt the need to explain herself. She didn't even care if she sounded insane. She was too tired to feel self-conscious.

"Sorry, I'm just freaking out because I really want to be a good mom to them," Santana finally admitted when she noticed Whitney's curious gaze on her, as she ranted more to herself than anyone else. "I'm an adult. I feel like some stupid teenage idiot. They're my kids, I should be able to take care of them all on my own but I didn't even remember that they needed to be fed again. That's obviously why they were crying so much."

The older blonde gazed at her sympathetically, giving her shoulder a squeeze while Pierce made a sympathetic sound as he scooted over beside his wife on the couch. Santana was beyond grateful that her future in-laws were always so easygoing and easy to talk to. She never felt judged by them.

"For what it's worth, Honey, it's your first time and I think you're doing a marvelous job with your babies. You and Britt both are. I know it isn't easy at all. At least you're young and have a ton of energy to run behind them. Don't be so hard on yourself." Whitney told her.

Santana glanced up at Whitney gratefully. She called both her and Pierce by their first names now as they had become so close since they started living together. Pierce nodded in agreement beside his wife.

"At least you're handling things better than I did with Brittany when she was that age and then Stacy. Oh man, those were crazy times." The man added.

"Thanks. That really means a lot to me, especially coming from you. You both have been so incredibly kind to us. I don't know how we can ever repay you."

Whitney shook her head, holding up her palm to stop her.

"Sweetie, we love having you around. We are just beyond thrilled that Brittany has a partner like you! I always knew you loved her, even back years ago when you two first became friends. I just wondered when you'd figure it out for yourself."

Santana felt her cheeks heat up, covering her face with her hands.

"Was it that obvious?"

Whitney nodded with a small smile and Pierce chuckled beside her, giving his wife a sly, conspiratorial wink.

"We were just taking bets on how long it would take for you to finally ask her out." Pierce said and his wife hummed in agreement as Santana cringed.

"Anyone could see it from a mile off. You two remind me of Pierce and I when we were younger, you know. You even have a height difference."

Santana was almost frightened to ask what she meant by that, since the Pierces were beyond eccentric as a couple, but she knew Whitney meant it as a major compliment. It was something to be proud of, considering how wonderful the Pierces' marriage was and how much they clearly loved each other. She resisted the urge to mention that the height difference between the Pierce parents was much larger than her and Brittany's own.

"The boys are getting bigger everyday. Britt and I don't want to impose on you guys forever. Will you… Will you be sad when Brittany and your grandbabies move away eventually?"

Living with the Pierces was a major help to them when they had newborn babies but Santana was already searching for places she could move to close to the school she wanted to attend in California when the triplets were a little older. They'd need a big house. Besides, Santana didn't want to be selfish and overstay her welcome.

"You're not imposing at all! We love having you two and our grandbabies around."

"They're the cutest babies in the world. Aside from when Brittany and Stacy were babies, of course," Pierce added. "They're just kind of loud, at the moment."

"Of course we would be a little sad but there's no need to feel guilty. I know you two want your space to figure things out for yourselves. Besides, you know we'll be coming to visit as often as we can."

"I'm counting on that," Santana said jokingly though she did genuinely enjoy the presence of her in-laws despite how quirky and chaotic they were. "I'm really glad to have you two as my future in-laws!"

It was pretty cheesy of her to say but something about the Pierces seemed to bring that side out in her. Besides, it wasn't as if anyone was around to hear her.

"Hon, you look so drained. You've got dark circles around your eyes. When was the last time you ate? Pierce and I don't mind watching him for a little while." Whitney suggested and Santana was grateful, letting out a sigh of relief as she handed the baby to her for a few minutes while she went to go eat something, hunger suddenly hitting her as she remembered she had missed breakfast and lunch.

The Latina walked back up into Brittany's room with a squirming Liam in her arms again about half an hour later, exhausted beyond belief as she moved to the blonde's side. Santana brought some snacks for Brittany as well, realizing the blonde hadn't eaten either and Brittany looked up at her gratefully when she set a hot cup of tea down beside her.

"Aw, you're so thoughtful." Brittany murmured, smiling into the kiss when Santana leaned over to press her lips against hers.

She watched Brittany nurse the babies for a while, stroking Lucas' soft head and lost in her thoughts before helping her set Leo on her shoulder to burp him and doing the same with Lucas and Liam in her arms. They placed the babies in the other crib they had on one side of the bedroom now that they had all fallen asleep. Brittany lightly stroked each of their faces.

"They're so beautiful. They've got your lips, your eyebrows, and your little nose." Brittany sighed happily and Santana kissed her again, flattered by Brittany's admiration of her looks. The blonde was constantly in awe of how much her babies took after Santana, right down to their dimpled cheeks. Brittany couldn't think of anything better than having children who inherited Santana's features.

"We made it," Santana whispered when they pulled apart, breathing out a sigh of relief when the babies stayed asleep. "They're sleeping like little angels now after keeping us up all day and night."

"I know. Don't worry, San. You're a great mom." Brittany replied softly through a yawn, pulling her into a hug as they watched their babies adoringly before falling into bed unceremoniously themselves and instantly passing out.

"How did you feel when you first found out you were, you know?" Santana asked quietly, picking up Leo and setting him back on her lap as he tried to squirm away. One of their favourite times of the day was when she and Brittany could cuddle with the babies in their bed. Their other favourite was bathing them. "When you first found out you were pregnant."

She watched Brittany curiously as the blonde was silent for a moment.

"Really happy. I don't think I've ever been so happy, other than the first time we first made love and the moment when you told me you were in love with me, and when you asked me to marry you. I was a little scared and sad though because you weren't there at the time but mostly just thrilled to have your baby." Brittany explained, almost tearful as she thought back to that time.

At this point, bathing them was a two person operation, since the triplets had outgrown bath inserts. Even before that, it was difficult for either of them to bathe the triplets on their own. Sometimes either of them could shower with a baby in their arms but it was impossible to do all three on their own, and they were very slippery. The boys were also scared of showers.

She and Brittany decided that the best course of action was to have a warm bath together that night with their children. Brittany filled up the bathtub with a few inches of water, dipping her fingers in to test the temperature before climbing in with Lucas and Leo in her arms. Santana followed behind her.

Of course, this would normally be the point where she and Brittany would be all over each other especially as they were both naked but having three playful and slippery extra mini humans around made that kind of impossible. Santana leaned over to kiss Brittany on the lips but she couldn't do much else at the moment. She gave each of her sons a soft kiss on the cheek, noticing that they were all babbling to get attention from their moms, then Brittany did the same.

She never thought she could love anyone or anything as much as she loved Brittany but their children felt like an extension of her feelings for the blonde.

Santana knew she was becoming such a sentimental fool but she found it difficult to care when she was surrounded by the four people she loved the most.

The boys squealed happily when they set them down in the water and they played with the bubbles. They had learned to not be so scared of water now, even though showers were a bit much for them. It figured that the three enjoyed baths, seeing as how Brittany and Santana had always liked taking baths together.

They were in that incredibly cute, chubby-faced, and happy stage at the moment. Santana didn't understand what the three of them were always smiling and laughing about but their happiness was contagious.

"I can't quite explain it but I can definitely see that these three are my grandchildren and I don't even need a DNA test to prove it." Maribel chuckled as she picked up Lucas while Brittany held the other two infants in her arms.

Each of them had a remarkably Santana-like scowl on his face. Santana's mother had been over to visit them many times since they were born. Santana chuckled, relieved that her mother was accepting this quite well now that she got accustomed to the idea of it.

Santana noticed that Brittany was slightly tense that day as she moved around her parents' house. By the time Maribel left and the Pierce parents went out, Brittany seemed almost relieved.

The blonde had just put the triplets down for a nap but her pink lips were set in a thin line and her eyes were a little less bright than normal - two telltale signs that she wasn't feeling well. It wasn't unusual for Brittany to be feeling out of sorts these days and the lack of sleep sometimes made her feel worse.

"Hey, we should watch a movie. Come cuddle with me." Santana suggested, keeping her voice low. Brittany's sister was out at a friend's house, so there was no one around to hear them.

Brittany just hummed in a noncommittal tone, her face not giving away much of her feelings but kept a small smile on her face. Santana knew something was still wrong, even though Brittany joined her on the couch and tried to maintain her cheerful vibe so as not to worry her.

"Why are you upset?" Santana slipped her arms around her lover's waist, keeping the tone of her voice soft and warm. Brittany glanced at her in surprise. "I know you are, even if you're not saying it because you don't wanna worry me. I know you well. Did something happen? Tell me."

"I- I don't know," Brittany eventually whimpered. "I just feel so protective of them and clingy. Everything's all weird to me. I can't stop being scared that something will happen to the babies and I can't handle being away from them for long. I love them - but I also miss being pregnant too. Is that weird?"

If any other person had said something like this, Santana might have been confused but she knew Brittany well. Santana cupped her cheek, wiping a falling tear away with the pad of her thumb. She could never handle seeing Brittany cry.

"Britt, it's normal for you to feel this way. You know it's postpartum depression and you're nostalgic for your pregnancy. It happens to a lot of women. Come, let me hold you." Santana pulled her into an embrace. It had been about two months since the babies were born.

Brittany was more or less back to normal but she had been having these bouts of "baby blues" that quickly turned into crying spells more often than not. They had spoken about it with Brittany's doctor since it had been going on for a while but she assured them that it wasn't extreme enough to worry about and that it would probably continue for a while. Brittany just needed a good support system to get her through it. Santana was willing to be as patient as she needed to be.

Santana wasn't experiencing the same depressed moods but she could understand Brittany's overprotectiveness and the attachment the blonde felt after carrying them for so many months. Since her sons had been born, Santana had felt this overwhelming urge to protect them from any possible harm to the point of obsession at times.

Brittany eventually relaxed into Santana's warm embrace and sighed happily, allowing Santana to lead them upstairs to their bedroom a few hours later. Then she began to kiss Brittany with more intensity, the way she was holding back from doing when they were around their family.

Santana couldn't deny that whenever they kissed, she yearned to be intimate with her fiancée again but she didn't want to push Brittany for too much if the blonde wasn't ready yet. Even if Santana felt so ready again. She felt guilty to ask for more. Especially after her lover had sacrificed so much to give birth and take care of their children.

Santana gazed into blue eyes for a moment, gauging Brittany's reaction and noticing the same spark of desire reflecting back at her. It was hesitant and a little guarded almost but still there. She continued to kiss her, pouring all of her affection and desire into it.

Every time they kissed in private within the past few weeks, they would eventually separate before it got to the stage of touching each other the way they wanted to. Santana had reluctantly pulled away from Brittany's breasts last time with an almost comical look of frustration on her face and practically clenching her thighs together. She knew that if she allowed herself to continue kissing and touching Brittany, she wouldn't be able to stop.

Santana almost felt guilty about the lust that she was overcome with whenever she saw Brittany these days because she knew that her lover, understandably, hadn't been in the mood for anything sexual for a while.

She felt Brittany's hand on her shoulder, pushing it ever so slightly. Santana pulled back, confused but patient.

"Wait. The babies."

"It's okay. Hey, we're alone together and we've got time to do whatever we want… together. Anything we want. The boys are still asleep. Your mom and dad are keeping an eye on them like they said. We have at least a couple of hours."

Brittany still seemed nervous about the babies. Santana could see it in the slight furrow of her brow and the way she pinched her lips together as if part of her thought she should be with them.

"Hey, they'll be fine. It's important that we have this time just for us." Santana murmured and Brittany nodded as she began to kiss the blonde's shoulder, moving to her collarbone and neck as she heard a familiar moan from her lover.

"You're right. Uh, you're too charming to resist."

Santana felt this intense lust growing and she could tell Brittany needed her touch just as much even if she wasn't as forthcoming about it. Santana thought back to how many times she had forced herself into a cold shower or got herself off when her own hand lately, thinking about Brittany's body. Her sexual frustration must have been obvious to the blonde because she giggled, helping Santana take her clothes off.

"I can do you, if you want," Brittany suggested, leaning down to kiss her navel and then her hip, and Santana could already tell what she wanted to do. "I'm sorry, Babe. I know we haven't been able to do this for a while. I feel guilty."

Santana was watching her with hooded, dark eyes that were consumed with obvious lust and Brittany knew exactly what that kind of look meant, combined with Santana's tense body language. Santana was wound up so tightly. She had been touching Brittany all day at any chance she got and had been pretty much all over her.

"You don't need to apologize for anything or feel guilty at all. Britt, you were literally pregnant with three babies and you just gave birth not that long ago. We've been up every night with them."

"But you need me."

Brittany continued kissing her navel, watching her lover with a seductive gaze, and Santana groaned, threading her fingers through soft blonde hair. It was oh so tempting to give in but Santana felt weird and selfish about just accepting pleasure from Brittany without doing anything more for her, even if she had such strong carnal desires.

She wanted more than just that with Brittany and she felt weird about just being pleasured by the blonde without reciprocating, especially after everything Brittany had and was already sacrificing for them. It also felt cheap. She wanted Brittany to feel comfortable with her body again but she didn't want her to feel forced into it either. Their first time being intimate again needed to be special. Santana eventually shifted away, sitting up and cupping Brittany's cheek to get her attention.

Brittany was confused, her pale blue eyes going wide because Santana typically never was one to refuse that kind of treatment from her. Santana refusing oral from her was unheard of.

"That's really hot, Britt, but I want something else right now."

"Something else?" Brittany tilted her head to the side, turning her seductive eyes on her again. "How do you want me? I know you're still so turned on and you need more from me."

Brittany's hand slipped between their bodies and under the waistband of Santana's panties, toying with her. Santana sighed when she felt her touching her clit, rubbing in tight circles. Santana inhaled sharply, burning up with need. She knew that Brittany was trying to satisfy her and only thinking about what Santana wanted instead of her own needs. The dark-haired woman shook her head slowly.

"No, believe me, that feels good but - I want you. I want to feel you," Santana whispered, planting a kiss on her shoulder and then the base of Brittany's neck. "You don't need to be selfless. I wanna touch you, see your beautiful body, and have you completely. Is this okay?"

Brittany nodded, finally relaxing when Santana took her into her arms. She felt relieved that Santana was just as into her as she had always been and it felt far more romantic than just getting Santana off.

"Right now, I just really need my soon to be wife. I wanna make you feel good." Santana hummed, her lips already tracing Brittany's shoulder and moving up to her neck. She just wanted to worship Brittany's body.

Santana hadn't thought much about the subject before, other than really wanting to be intimate with her fiancée again, but now she did wonder if anything would feel different when they made love again after Brittany had given birth.

If anything, everything felt even better, though she hadn't thought it was possible for it to be better. Brittany wrapped her arms around Santana's neck with a shuddering sigh, arching up into Santana's frame as the Latina continued to kiss and suck every inch of her skin. Santana focused on her neck then kissed and licked her smooth armpit, knowing how much Brittany liked her to kiss there before moving to her breasts and sucking. She gave extra attention to all of Brittany's sensitive areas all over her body and every freckle she could find.

Brittany's breasts were slightly fuller than normal and so sensitive that the slightest touch made Brittany squeak. When she and Brittany touched, it was as if they were more connected than normal and Santana couldn't help but pull back, wanting to watch Brittany's face. Brittany cupped Santana's jaw, pulling her face up to hers and kissed her, open-mouthed. She nipped Santana's upper lip and slipped her tongue against hers.

Brittany's face, neck, and even her shoulders were flushed red when she pulled back from their heated liplock. A typical sign of the blonde's arousal. Santana slid her hand up between Brittany's sexy thighs, parting them and cupped her palm over the area she wanted to be the most. Brittany was beyond wet, hot, and swollen, only for her. She paused only when she heard Brittany whimper softly.

"What's the matter? You're tearing up, Love." Santana murmured, wiping a tear from Brittany's pale cheek. The Latina was burning up with need, a hunger inside of her that only Brittany could satisfy, but she wanted to be sure that her lover was completely comfortable before they continued.

"It's just… I missed you so much too. I missed being like this with you," Brittany admitted. "Maybe I've been so extra stressed lately because I've needed your touch again too."

"Oh Brittany. I've missed you so much too." Santana kissed her ravenously again, slipping her fingers between her soft folds. She heard Brittany's squeak softly when Santana stroked the tips of her fingers through her wetness, parting her lips. Santana paused for a moment to tease her, playing with the tiny, swollen nub and moving down to circle her entrance, just barely dipping her finger tip inside.

Brittany parted her legs, unable to handle it anymore. She tightened her grip around Santana's shoulders and brought her legs up, wrapping them around Santana's waist as she pushed her core closer toward her. Santana couldn't help but chuckle teasingly because Brittany was making it so clear what she wanted.

At the first slip of Santana's two fingers inside, Brittany moaned in delight. She tossed her head back against her pillow. Santana kept going, adding another finger then curling them, and Brittany bit down on her lover's lip again, her sounds of appreciation becoming more high-pitched and desperate. Santana pressed upward and deeper inside of her, realizing based on the blonde's reaction that she had found the spot inside of her that always drove Brittany wild.

"Oh, Santana. There." She panted and pushed her ass up, grinding down onto Santana's fingers in a desperate, squirming motion, her blonde brows pinched together. Brittany dripped on Santana's hand, her wetness increasing. Seeing how close Brittany was, Santana pumped into her harder and faster, putting her muscle into it as Brittany's sounds of pleasure became more frequent.

Santana herself was beyond wet against Brittany's thigh, so close to an orgasm from seeing Brittany climax that she couldn't help herself. She grinded against Brittany's smooth thigh, rubbing her clit. It wouldn't take much more for Santana to come at this point. She continued to move back and forth as she felt that pressure build and then combust, a ragged groan escaping her throat as Brittany clung tightly to her back.

In the afterglow, Santana lay on her back with Brittany half on top of her. The blonde's face was tucked under Santana's chin and she tangled their legs together as Santana stroked up and down the pale skin on her back with her fingertips, enjoying the stillness of the moment. Having sex with Brittany again was the best idea she had ever had. It took a few long moments for them to catch their breath.

"That was…" Brittany started to say, taking a deep breath.

"Fantastic. I know."

"You're so good. You always know exactly what I need." Brittany hummed and kissed Santana's shoulder. The blonde looked completely relaxed now, boneless against Santana's frame, and that sparkle had returned to her eyes.

"You're gorgeous and perfect. Feeling better now? I sure am."

"A million times better. You were right, I guess I just really needed to be in your arms again and make love with you before I could feel more like myself. Love you so much."

"I'm more than happy to help, Babe. Anytime, day or night. You know what? I have another idea. I think a change of scenery might help you feel even better. We should go somewhere special." Santana mumbled, kissing Brittany's forehead. Brittany was a little startled.

"Now?"

Santana shook her head with a small laugh and brought her arms around Brittany, squeezing her lovingly.

"Not right this moment I mean, how about later this year when everything settles. What do you say about going on vacation together? I'd love to take you to Hawaii. I know you've always wanted to go there."

"Are you serious? That's a wonderful idea." Brittany sat up, excitement radiating from her now and even more life flooding back into her baby blues. The two of them began to talk about all of the things they could do and how they'd handle taking their children with them. It was definitely going to take a lot of planning.

The boys were really growing into their features now that they were a little older. It was fascinating for their parents to see them at each stage of their development. There was no mistaking them for anything other than Lopez babies but Brittany's genes were showing now more than before. Each of them had a halo of soft, golden curls on his head that looked almost identical to Santana in her baby pictures, except for the lighter shade.

Little Leo was the most Santana-like in appearance while Lucas was most similar to his other mom, and Liam was somewhere in between, a perfect blend of the two.

Lucas was already a little longer and lankier than his brothers with a pointier, more Pierce-like face, even though they all had round heads like Santana. His ears were so cute and elf-like, like Brittany's, his nose was a little pointier, and his curls were always a lighter blond than his brothers' own. Brittany and her mother both believed he would inherit more of the height genes from the Pierce family. He was the only triplet to have Brittany's bright blue, upturned eyes.

Travelling out of state when the boys were so tiny at seven months old hadn't been easy. At least they had Brittany's parents and Santana's mom around.

All the same, it made it all worth it when they finally reached their hotel in Hawaii, which was right on the beach. Something about the tropical paradise made both Santana and Brittany feel grounded.

It was like they were in their happy place when they could feel warm sand beneath their feet and see clear water in the near distance.

Brittany remembered her dreams from not that long ago about taking their toddlers to the beach. Her babies were not quite yet in the toddler stage but the day when she would be able to walk with them on warm sand, build sandcastles, and collect seashells was becoming closer.

Brittany couldn't understand what was making Santana so jittery that day, as if something was on her mind that she was hiding from the blonde. Santana had mellowed out a lot ever since the babies were born, no longer picking fights with others as much. In any case, she was too tired from having children to have much energy to fight random people these days. She was also quite proud to show Brittany off in public as her lover, so her nerves from long ago about others judging her and Brittany for being a couple weren't anywhere near as bad as they were years before.

"What's up? Did the food from that restaurant make you feel sick or something? You're moving around like you have ants in your pants." Brittany giggled. Santana shook her head.

"No, no, I'm fine. I just," Santana hummed into her neck, pausing before she continued with a barely contained tomcat smile. "I really wanna take you out tonight and do something special."

There was also another big reason why Santana wanted to take her out but she had to keep that a secret for now. It was so hard to hide anything from Brittany.

"Me?" Brittany laughed and pointed to herself jokingly. She shouldn't have been so surprised but ever since the babies were born, they hadn't had much time for traditional dates. "I get the princess treatment?"

"Unless there's another gorgeous, blonde, leggy goddess around here that I'm about to marry that I don't know of, then definitely just you."

"It better be just me," Brittany joked and wiggled her eyebrows. "I don't know, San, how would your mistress, Fame, feel about you romancing me like that?"

Santana knew she was joking but whenever Brittany joked about her "Mistress" it never failed to make Santana scramble. She laughed as Brittany watched her in amusement.

"So where are you taking me, Sexy?"

Santana blushed, dipping her head. She could never not be flustered by Brittany calling her sexy or hot.

"I was thinking of a really nice dinner and then walking on the beach at sunset."

Brittany was thrilled. Walking on the beach in the sunset with Santana was one of those things she always yearned to do before they even began dating. They had been able to do that during their trip to Puerto Rico in the summer after senior year but it was different somehow now that they were engaged and had babies together.

"What about our babies?"

Now that they had little ones to care for, they couldn't just run off to do whatever they wanted. Brittany's brows were set in a concerned frown.

"Don't you worry. I made arrangements with our parents already," Then seeing the look of apprehension that was still on Brittany's face, she hastened to add. "Britt, it's okay. Believe me. I know you're worried but it'll only be for a few hours and you know there's no one better to watch them than our own parents."

Brittany knew Santana was right. Her anxiety got the best of her at times and she wasn't accustomed to being away from the babies for any length of time. Santana couldn't blame her. She wasn't as anxious about it as Brittany was but she never liked being away from their babies for too long either.

"Besides, you know it's good for us to have some time alone as a couple."

"I thought we already got plenty of that." Brittany smirked with a suggestive raise of her eyebrows.

"I mean, time alone without diapers and bottles. Alone time where we can be romantic and sappy instead of just rushing to jump each other's bones whenever we get two minutes to spare in a day before we go back to being moms to triplets again. Although sex could be a great addition to our romantic date too."

"I'm counting on it. Just be careful you don't accidentally knock me up again," Brittany teased. Santana paused for a moment, fumbling, and her face paled at the thought but she laughed anyway. "What should I wear?"

"I'd love it if you wore a really nice dress and heels. Maybe that little black dress I love so much on you." Santana murmured fondly and tucked an errant wave of blonde hair behind her ear, the look she was giving Brittany implying that they were going somewhere pretty high end. Brittany couldn't wait to see what Santana had planned.
