Salem Shupiwe died of Malaria but it was not his time. This was due to the mistake of death due to the multiverse being in a mess due to the actions of unchecked Reincarnations leaving the systems of ROBs in a mess. Another ROB gives Salem the chance to go to the after life or being reincarnated in a new world.

41. Chapter 40

Salem's Pov

"ARGH!! H-His a m-monster." Screamed a dark guild member slammed him through the wall and finished him off with my Ankylosaur tail causing a dent on the ground.

I looked down at all the defeated ninjas and then checked my phone and so all the anomalies moved again meaning the room had again shifted. "Okay this shit is getting a little annoying."

The room had shifted three times now whenever I got to it and after the shift I ended up in different rooms. One which was filled with traps and the other two had dark guild members who tried to jump me leading to be out through the floor or wall.

"Aright screw being salute and the element of surprise." I looked at their new location then began transforming into a were-cheetah and began bursting through walls and making it to my destination in about a second or two."Note to self get a form special for charging and ramming into stuff." I cracked my neck while going back to normal.

I began to look around the chamber for a bit and I had to say it was way larger than the other rooms his seen so far. I saw some books and papers scattered around but some lab equipment like cylinders and beakers containing some chemicals were carefully placed.

My eyes landed on all the anomalies all stored in large green liquid tanks and had a cord inserted in them and connected to a body which was hanging high in the ceiling with multiple cords connected to it. It looked really tall, about 8 ft in height or taller,brown hair and a good looking male face (pause), black pants but nothing covering it's upper body for some reason showing off it's muscular physique (again pause on that).

All this was really suspicious as why was no one or thing here guarding them. I didn't want to take too many chances to move towards the anomalies.

"Hm!?" I thought as I began dodging the chains but found myself in a large purple transparent bubble.

"Oh come on man!" I yelled in frustration than knocked on the barrier and magic felt similar to spatial magicand began thinking of ways it could escape.

"Don't even bother escaping that barrier is futile." I heard a voice coming from the corner of the room and the walls opened revealing professor Quill."So you're the infamous child who has the ability to permanently defeat my new test subjects."

"Yeah and you're that crazy ass alchemist."

"Crazy those hypocrites of th-…"

"Spare me your backstory and dumbass 'They didn't understand my genius' dialogue." I sucked my teeth and rolled my eyes.

"I see we have a brave one here but no matter, I'm not one for talking either. I'll just let my invitation speak for me so rejoice that you'll be the first to witness the completion of my ultimate weapon against the empire but I will need a little field test before I cansend it out" He shot a sadist smirk at me.

"NOW FINISH TRANSFER!"

With that I saw all of the anomalies scream/roar/screech as they fully disappeared from their tanks and the philosopher's stone on the body began to glow as did it's whole body.

"EXCELLENT NOW BEGIN MIND ADAPTATION!"

Another code inserted itself to the back of the artificial to the back of its head.

'DAMMIT!!' I panicked as my brain wrecked ways to bust here. Even if I somehow raw powered my way out it would put me at a larger disadvantage. 'I wish I could burn or freeze my way out of here like Natsu or Gray. Wait, I think I can do that?'

I've been working on controlling the ethernano to replicate the mana zone technique from black clover and now was time to put it to the real test. I sat in a meditative environment and began focusing on controlling the ethernano around a certain radius of the area.

'Please work.' I thought as I manipulated the ethernano in the small radius around me. "Ethernano zone." I finally remixed the ultimate technique from black clover then transformed into the demi-glacier wolf form activating my ice magic and froze the spatial barrier and quickly smashed it out of it.

"IMPOSSIBLE JUST HOW DID YO-!" I didn't give the professor a chance to finish his sentence as I shot an ice blast knocking him to the wall, freezing him completely.

I then turned my head into the Testaro'swith 100% percent of its power.

"FIRE DRAGON'S ROAR!" I shot a huge blast of fire to the artificial body blowing it up.

"Okay this thing some credit it's tougher than I thought." I looked at the philosopher's stone pulsing on its chest and maybe I should have taken that first before trying to blow it up.

Third person pov

'NOO!!' Professor Quill internally screamed as despite being frozen he could still witness the child destroying his prized creation through his cybernetic eyes. He cursed that he wasn't in his more combat applicable body.

"Body Heat Increases Level Beyond Max level." He commanded his body leading his chest and palms open which released dangerously higher than he could handle but it was worth the risk.

"Ethernano cannons full power!"Cannons come from his back shooting a blast at Salem who was about to land a Nitro fist to the artificial body and so the attack a bit too late.

He managed to block the attack and though it wasn't doing much damage the force was still enough to knock him back across the room and the walls which opened sending him to another room which was filled with heavy mist. He sucked his teeth as the set up was a very familiar set up he found himself in.

A blade came out of nowhere about to cut Salem's head off but he managed to grab it, dragging the culprit outof the mist, then slammed him hard to the ground, cracking it.

"Oh I've been waiting for this to come back." He smirked viciously as he began morphing into his Zingro form.

While Salem was a little busy fighting the powered up ninja's Quill ran to the artificial body and began inspecting the damage Salem to it but the stone had almost finished healing it.

"Blast that child 's mind was yet to custom develop with those creatures inside it." Quill cursed but felt but formed a smile. "It's a good thing I have the best alternative option."A cord then connected to the back of his neck and the body's.

"Mind transfer begin!"

Back Salem's POV

"You assholes aren't so tough when I'm not fighting my own demons." I looked down at all the defeated ninja's. "Y'all are lucky that I have better things to do right now."

I brought out my phone and saw the new location of the room and blasted to it without hesitation the walls without hesitation till I reached the destination.

"The fuck?" I looked down at the two bodies connected by a cord. "Oh hell no!" Iquickly ripped the cord out of the bodies but it caused the body to explode in a red aura knocking me back.

"YOU FOOL DO HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHAT YOU DONE!" I heard Quill's voice but it was more distorted with multiple different voices drowning it. "RAAHH!" He roared unleashing another red aura wave and his body began glitching shifting between different anomalies in a rather disturbing way.

It reminded me of some of the application software I made during programming class. Even if code is right or misses some then the program would eventually crash. It was always pain fixing those, and sometimes I had to write the whole thing.

"Oh hell no!" I yelled as I quickly went into my hybrid Teostra form at hundred percent "Fire Dragon's Secret art: Cauterizing Nova!" I gathered a large amount of fire and explosion magic into a ball which then shot a large blast engulfing the body.

I finished my attack and quickly turned back to normal but as soon as I did that a blast of darkness hit me dead center knocking to the wall breaking through it.

"A-Are y-you kidding me" I breathed a bit heavily as I saw the monstrously walk out of the smoke.

It was now like 12 feet tall, muscular build, with yellow-black, four arms: one of the top right was the Volf, the one bottom right was Zerora, the top left holding sickle was the Ajatarmon, and the bottom left Darkrai,the Arius Nova's wings and halo, Zerora's legs.

Though I saw it took really heavy damage from the attack, the stone in its chest glowed and it's body was repairing itself.

It turned itto me and like a battle robot turned it's two bottom arms into cannons.

"Oh shit!"

I quickly dodged the attack and responded by turning my hands into the glacier wolf paw shooting ice giant ball towards it as a distraction than turned my legs to he were-cheetah and sped behind it before the ball reached it than launched a large shard ice shard to it's back so when it sliced the ice ball the shard struck it's back making tumble forward.

I placed my paws to the ground making multiple ice shards attack it but it swung its scythe making a slicing wind attack cutting my ice but I managed to dodge it. The wind gave off a similar feeling to the viper queen so I guess it must be a wind curse or wind cutting curse.

Large purple crystals began to come out of the ground but I agilelygot out of the way of most of them.But with a surprise burst of speed it hit me with a strong lightning right jab to my stomach, shocking my body and rocketing me to one of the liquid containers smashing through it and cracking the wall.

It didn't stop there as it sped to me again but I was ready for it this time and began dodging his slashing attacks. I quickly transformed into my demi-cat form and with increasedagility along with flexibility I easily dodged the attacks then requip my gun to quickly shoot its forehead dead center, discomposing it a bit. At this moment I switched the long katana I got from the ape guardian slicing of its root arm.

I began to use one of the most useful practical skills I almost mastered in college: the art ofmultitasking.

Immediately after I sliced of it's arm I used my tail to snatch the sickle from the detached limb sending it to my pocket dimension, than sliced it's face making a crack to it's mask gushing out blood and green liquid followed by transforming my left leg into that of the rabbits giving it a devastating spin kick to the head making it's head turn 180, and finished it off by tuning my head to the Teostra hitting it with a point blank Fire dragon's roar knocking it back and not wanting to take too much chances also burned of the sliced arm.

After I was done I stuck to only the demi-cat look as I'm still not used to using all these different forms at once.

I ran to it with the large katana about to cut its head off while it was on the ground but It let out a roar and a powerful blast of lightning knocked me back but I landed on my feet filching a bit but it was nothing I couldn't handle. Though it was followed by a blast of darkness making me block it with the oversized blade.

I was wondering if it had all of their abilities than did it also have their strengths/immunities and weaknesses as well.

The only thing I had on me which would be useful was a transform with Earth manipulation and though I didn't know that much about Digimon as I only watched three movies but I also did think they do follow elemental weaknesses so my fire based forms should come in handy..

The stone on its chest glowed as its head went back to its proper position and grew a new root hand then slammed it to the ground causing multiple veins to shoot out from the ground.

I flipped around dodgingand cutting the attacks and cutting them with the Katana and burned them with a wave of fire going on all sides with a wing from the Rathalos.

I turned in my hybrid Ankylosaur form then pinpointed its exact position by sensing its magic signatureand manipulated the Earth to sharp pillars to attack it on the surface and judging by the roars of pain and iteration it worked. Jumping out of the ground saw it was temporarily stunned by the stone's so with my hand in with heavily condensed flames and around it a mini explosion.

"Fire dragon's secret art: Nitro Fi-ARRGH!"

I felt a heavy invisible force hit and I saw aflush of pink or purple sending me crushing through the wall.

'The hell was… Was that a psychic type move?' I wondered if it was literally the move psychic or some other Psychic move I didn't really know about.

It loaded two of its canons and shot shadow and electro balls.

The Espeon and Darkrai might be the most troublesome as when it came to pokemon lore there types are the leading contenders for having the most hax abilities with ghost types also being up there and if recalling the battle with Milotic it used more than the limited four moves. I could be wrong as the others could have a few surprises of their own especially the digimon, As from what little I've watched it's crazier than pokemon..

After it stopped itsattack I turned into my hybrid-Rathalos form and took to the air.

"Catch me if you can, you chimera." With great speed I flew through the giant hole I made with my Teostra attack flying out of the base.

The fusion was fast on my tail shooting those crystal spikes from its wings but I was able to dodge all of them. But I was dodging them. It teleported in front, got distance in front of me and swung its scythe multiple times, wind slashes which I all dodged.

Its body lit up in lightning charging at but despite its speed I was still ableto dodge it but it repeated this attack a few times and every time it missed it teleported to a different side in the sky and attacked from there. While it was doing this I was charging up an attack from my mouth.

'Got you.' I thought as I shot the huge fire blast hit a bit more of its right side knocking, doing some damage and knocking its scythe out of its hand.

It tried launching dark pulse out of retaliation and though I evaded it I felt a strong force hold me in place and saw all four of its arms transformed into larger canons all lighting up and the stone glowing brighter and fired a huge blast getting a direct hit

'D-Dammit .' I cursed out coughing some blood as I struggled to properly get up as I was knocked out of my Take-over with my body bloodied and my clothes were screwed up. Looking around the forest I saw I was basically blasted through an upper layer of the mountain taking a good chunk of it.

It seems to be getting better at using it in abilities as the battle goes on. I should really take it out fast before it gets smarter and starts using more hax abilities and while I had magic left.

I looked up and saw l multiple attacks flying down to me so I pushed past the pain and shifted to my were-cheetah form and while on all fours ran around avoiding all the attacks. I needed to finish this battle fast. Good thing this form also has a minor healing factor.

I switched to my nine tailed form and made a Naruto hand sign making seven kitunes clones. Of course I made sure to make four. The clones had very very little percent of my magic and three had a bit more than the others and used illusion magicto make illusions of my other forms being each in a set of three. Being my sparrow forms, demi-owl form and were-cheetah form.

"Right boys you know the plan don't you~." I asked.

"Already on it boss./bossu~." The non-Kitsune ones nodded while the Kitsunes mock saluted.

They all answered and ran for fusion by attacking it or causing confusion and began wildly attacking all of them. And three of the stronger Kitsune clones managed to hold it place with the fire chains while the others were distracting it.

"Oh~ Boss, would you be so kind and FINISH THIS THING ALREADY!" One of them yelled.

"Well lets give this a try." I turned to my sparrow form and flew high up to the sky and began diving down breaking the sound barrier.I went to my base form but my legs were muscular as my rabbit form and my feet were the Teostra's talons.

"LUNA IMPACT FIRE DRAGON'S TALON!" I yelled as my flaming talons hit it straight to its chest on the philosopher's stone making it roar in pain and I heard a crack.

I yelled in determination causing my flames to get a lot more intense, burning a bit of the non-dragon part of my leg sending it to the ground with a sonic boom slamming it to the ground making a crater.

Landing on my feet I turned my hands into the bull ants and quickly dug them into its chest and quickly removed the stone making it roar and thrash a lot more as its body began glitching badly.

"Time to finish this."

Transforming into my full kitsune fox form. I then began gathering a huge amount of my remaining magic in my body and gathered a lot of ethernano from the surroundings radius which was easier with this form.

"Ethernano-zone: Heavenly Inferno Tailed Beast Bomb!"

Once the large ball landed, sending it to the sky created a huge explosion which lit it up in blue and caused heavy vibration on the ground.

All the anomalies were one ground fading. Iused take-over on all the Pokemon and the lone digimon than sent the Arius Nova and Volf to Morpheus.

"Alright I caught my first pokemon." I chuckled to myself as I wished I had a pokeball in hand to do the pose.

Moving to my fallen opponent whose mechanical body was busted: the left side of his head was blown off, no arms, a good amount of his torso blown off and its legs were really screwed up.

"N*a really I hate to admit this again but Quill really designed the heck out of this thing."

"HAHAHA. It's nice to see someone who can finally appreciate my intellect. You know when I look at you I see someone who has" I heard him chuckled causing me to jump back. "But unfortunately for you I always have a back up plan."

I wondered what he was talking about then felt something coming from his body and before I could run away.

BOOOMM!!

A large bright light erupted covering the both of us and everything went black.

A few minutes later

Morrigan and Harumi flew across the area where Salem and Quill's battle took place.

"Oh shit Salem!" Morrigan eyes widened and sped towards the crater.

Harumi was a bit surprised, taken back by Morrigan's reaction as even though she didn't know that well but in all there limited encounters she's never seen her so worried.

"It doesn't look like he sustained any injuries but judging by his clothes and the surroundings he must have engaged in an intense battle." Harumi stated as she floated down next to them.

"Someone must have healed him and I have a suspicious idea of how." Morrigan turned to the forest narrowing her eyes at a familiar signature but before she could come front the person Salem began to wake up.

"Argh dammit." Salem groaned as he opened his eyes and was greeted with the sight of the two women.

"Hey Salem, welcome back to the world of the living~."

"Wait, you guys brought me back to life. That crazy bastard suicide bomb atcually killed me!?" Salem freaked out. He didn't want to experience dying again.

"What no relax junior, it was only a joke." Morrigan laughed while lightly pinching his cheeks to calm him down.

"Salem-san did you say Quill used a suicide bomb." Harumi asked to which he nodded while getting Morrigan's hands off him. "Can you elaborate what happened during your battle with the professor?"

"Well Quill fused all the anomalies in a body which was powered by a philosopher's stone but I managed to interrupt it leading him to transfer his mind or soul whatever to the body but like again I managed to interrupt it. Long story short we fought. I beat him then ripped the philosopher's stone out of his chest but Quill must have been a real sore because he blew himself up."

"So Quill went as far to take his own life just to defeat you. Even though I've never met him, from the information I've read he didn't seem like the type to do that."

"That's the thing I don't think he is dead I think he just transferred his essence to another body before or during the explosion."

"Well from what you've told me it is a possibility but wouldn't he need a body to connect to for that."

"Wait you said that you ripped out the stone from his chest then where is it?" asked Morrigan.

"Right here." He took out the cracked stone from his requip space, surprising the two.

"So this is the ultimate prize of an alchemist." Harumi analyzed the stone while Morrigan was looking. "But why is it cracked though?"

"It was my main target during the fight due to it being it's weak spot."

"Wait, how is it still possible that you can crack it though the stone is supposed to be THE perfect material?" Morrigan asked, snapping out of his trance.

"Hm well from what I know the strength of the stone differs on the amount of souls used or the amount of life force of some souls." Again he was just copying Full metal's alchemist explanation of things. "So this one was either powered by a small amount of souls or just people. It's just a guess anyway."

"You sure are quite knowledgeable on this topic Salem-san." Harumi praised him a bit.

'Amazing maybe with this I can…' Morrigan eyed the cracked gem and reached out for it but was stopped by Harumi's blade.

"Don't even think about it Morrigan-san." Harumi narrowed her eyes on her.

"I don't know what you're talking about and watch where you point that thing you almost cut me you know~." Morrigan pushed the sword away from her using her finger.

"Don't know what you're planning on doing with that stone Morrigan-san but I will not allow you to take it. You heard of Salem-san in how it was made?"

Before the two could continue on the stone completely broke in Salem's hand and was blown away by the wind making them all have flabbergasted faces.

"Well that plan is gone." Morrigan formed a bittersweet smile and Salem wondered what was going on with her but decided to let it go as it was her business.

"Hn well let's regroup with the others, discuss it with the others for now but for now if you would please." Harumi suggested as she brought the Cerberus near Salem.

"Aw man really?" Salem whined a bit was hoping to add it to his arsenal but his thoughts were deceased when his mentor had a chop to his head..

"Have you learned nothing from that divine Snake in your body?" Morrigan gave him a deadpan look.

"Excuse me, divine snake?" Harumi looked between the two of them.

"Don't worry about it." They both waved it off.

Sometime later

After Harumi finished off the Cerberus and Salem sent its remains to Morpheus, the group returned to the Oni-Dragon's base, who were taking care of their injured after their battles. Here, they presented the captured anomalies. Morrigan suggested handling this in a separate room, away from the others, despite Phoenix Talon members assuring them of their discretion..

While Morrigan and Salem handled the anomalies, Ritsu was busy contacting the Imperial Army to dispatch a team to the base. Harumi had gone to investigate the battlefield where Ritsu had faced the demons.

"They're a secretive lot, aren't they?" Akira commented, leaning against a wall, her feathers glowing faintly as she twirled one between her fingers.

Tekashi nodded. "I'll say. They're definitely hiding something."

Kagura sat nearby, Salem's headphones snug over her ears. Her expression was downcast, a stark contrast to her usual composed demeanor. Salem had noticed her mood earlier and lent her his headphones, suggesting music might help.

"I don't suppose you'll tell us what they're doing to those anomalies?" Tekashi asked Kagura.

"I'm sorry, Tekashi-san," Kagura replied, her voice soft. "If Salem-san and Morrigan-san choose not to explain, it's not my place to divulge their intentions." She adjusted the headphones, retreating back into her music.

"I take it you won't spill the beans either, Kazuki?" Tekashi tried his luck with the swordsman.

Kazuki shook his head, remaining silent.

Speaking of the dark skinned green eyed duo walked into the room.

"Finally man." yawned Salem.

"I'm surprised you didn't try to use your magic on that giant frog thing."

"Hey I got standards."

"Sure you do Junior. Sure you do." She laughed at him and he just flipped the bird at her.

Soon after Ritsu was done contacting and joined the others.

"So how are we going to get paid for this.. oof" Salem was cut off by Kagura lightly elbowing his ribs.

"Not the time or place Salem-san." She lectured lightly.

"What priorities and for that give me those back." He snatched his headphones off her ignoring her protests.

"We're going to have to go back to Fiore for our pay Junior since they were the ones who hired us in the first place." Informed Morriogan.

"Seriously we have to go back to Fiore. I seriously have to go back to Pergende. Don't they have a Fiore embassy around here who could pay us?" If he was back on Earth he just could have asked them to wire the money.

Harumi then flashed into the room with anger. "If there's one thing I give Ryuzen. He's really good at staying on the run. Kazuki don't t you have anyway you could locate him"

Kazki denied."Sadly no I tried some kitsune to track his scent but."

"Well he is the leader of one of the biggest dark guilds in the country it's no surprise he knows how to erase his trail." commented Tekashi.

"That's the worrying thing he said he had a back up plan." Ritsu gritted his teeth in frustration.

"That fool just wants to stop." Harumi spoke.

"Harumi-san, you fought and defeated Ryuzen before during the day of convergence. Do you know exactly what his end goal is in all this?" asked Akira.

"Ryuzen wants to overthrow the royal family. His goal is to reclaim what he believes was stolen from his family."

"He said a similar sentence before he left. But who exactly was his family." questioned Ritsu.

"Ryuzen originates from the Kiyohara clan." After she said that the Taiyo natives including Kagura all looked at her in surprise while Morrigan was a bit intrigued while Salem where confused.

"But that's impossible. All members of the Kiyohara clan were executed with no one in the bloodline spared after they were removed from power!" Ritsu exclaimed.

"Harumi-san, could the Kiyohara connection with the demon of the east be responsible for this?" asked Kazuki which the devil slayer nodded.

"When I fought Ryuzen eight years ago he found out he had a contract with the demon king letting him use all his abilities but he escaped before I could finish him off though I was sure I cut or massively weakened their connection."

"So what's the story behind the Kiyohara family?" Salem asked out of curiosity.

"And here I thought you read around when you traveled to a new country, kid you're embarrassing me." Morrigan mockingly shocked her head and he responded by flipping the bird at her while sticking out his tongue causing her to roughly put her hand on his head in mild annoyance. "That's two strikes junior. Anyway you heard about the great migration right?"

He nodded.

"Well the Kiyohara family who were the former rulers of Taiyo up until like 400 years ago. They were a very ambitious bunch and under their leadership Taiyo became an empire spreading through most of the Eastern continent and established trade routes with countries outside the continent taking actively engaging in trade, diplomacy, and scholarly exchanges with other nations, and spreading Taiyo. So much so that elements of their culture are still embedded in a lot of countries."

'That explains a lot actually.' Salem thought of all the times he heard people Japanese or Taiyo honorifics. 'Doesn't explain why the one language is so common though.'

"My mother told me stories about them but she also told me they were extremely ambitious but they were also extremely authoritarian and oppressive leading a lot of people to stay in the countries they were stationed or run away through the established trade routes and made small colonies for themselves all around the world." Kagura spoke up as she remembered all the stories her late mother used to tell her and her brother about how their ancestors fled the empire and settled down in fiore.

"Your mother was right, Mikazuchi-san." Akira spoke with venom in her voice."The Kiyohara were extremely oppressive especially to non-human inhabitants of Taiyo either denying them proper rights, forcing them to highly dangerous labour conditions and even some who they registered as their own people weren't safe. They used their pact with the demon king and a powerful dragon to keep themselves in power. Using innocents as human sacrifices as ways of renewing them. As you can guess, it leads to a coup to remove them from power."

"So how were they taken down? I mean with a contract with a demon king, having a dragon puts them at a really big advantage if an uprising were to start." asked Salem.

"That was thanks to the fox goddess Inari and four celestial spirit guardians who assisted in the rebellion when they were in it." Tekashi spoke while touching his Byakko tattoo with a smile.

"Four celestial guardians and here I thought the twelve zodiacs were the strongest celestial spirits?"

"No, there are more spirit guardians out there just as powerful if not more than the twelve zodiacs, they're just the most famous especially in the west due to being the most used by famous celestial spirit wizards."

Salem thought about it and he wasn't an astrologist he did know the celestial spirits were based on constellations and there were a hell lot of them up there it must be the same for the keys.

"But now we have to worry about their potential rise yet again." Ritsu grimmest.

Suddenly Kenji teleported into the room causing everyone to get into a defensive stance ready to attack him while Harumi and Kazuki already had their blades on his neck.

"OI RELAX I'M ON YOUR SIDE!" He comically yelled at

them.

"KENJI BY THE ORDER OF THE IMPERIAL ARMY YOUR UNDER ARREST!" Ritsu barked while taking out a pair of magic disrupting handcuffs.

"Didn't you hear what I just said? I'm not here to fight!" His answer only made Harumi push her sword closer to his neck.

"Why should we believe you?" Harumi asked in an icy tone.

"Because I'm a double agent sent by the Yakuza to spy on the Oni-Dragons and I have crucial information which will be useful to you guys." He smirked.

Ryuzen gave him a side eye. "I heard the violent way you left the Yakuza resulting in the deaths of other Yakuza members and you've taken a good number of lives from them and even rumoured to have spread their secrets to the Oni-Dragons."

"It's not like I enjoyed doing it!" He sighed at the thought of what he did to his comrades for the sack of the mission. "But as the boss said it was necessary for the mission." He then took out a map which had marked locations. "Look, those are locations of some of their most important bases of operations."

"Boss? Is this the same person you were talking to during our fight? asked Tekashi. "But why help us."

"Easy the Yazkuza and Jade lotus are good with the current system because it is easier to exploit and none of us are interested in stuff like global domination!?" He laughed but Harumi quickly cuffed him. "Seriously!" He gritted his teeth and Akira's sharp features surrounded him.

"You may continue explaining." Harumi demanded.

"Okay for starters Ryuzen had grown impatient over the years and tried using sleeper agents to infect the government and Royal family so he plans on taking it by force now. Quill has been making some extra Philosopher's stones thanks to all the souls that fox lady Salem-chin killed to help gain more access to the demon King's power."

The others looked at Salem in shock that the boy killed someone including Morrigan.

"Welp looks like things are getting serious." Morrigan commented as she turned to her student? "Come on junior, we're done here. You took Kagura."

"And where are you three off too?" Tekashi asked

"Yeah, the job here is done. We were hired to kill a dimensional demon dog, not stopping a whole government takeover."

"You heard what he said. Quill has likely produced other Philosophers stones and Shupiwe-san is the only one here who has knowledge about them which would give us an advantage in this coming battle." voiced Ritsu.

"I have to go with Morrigan on this one. No offence but this really has nothing to do with us." said Salem

"But…" Ritsu was stopped by a hand from Harumi.

"Let them be Ritsu-san , this is our country's problems and it's unfair to just stream them along."

Kagura backed away from the pair, her expression firm yet conflicted.

"Wait,Wait, Salem-san, Morrigan-san," she began, her voice quiet but steady, "I understand why you don't want to get involved. This isn't what we were hired for, and it's dangerous. But…"

She hesitated, glancing at Taiyo natives.

"...if the situation is as bad as he says then what happens if we just walk away? How many people might suffer because we chose not to act?

"You sure about this Kagura you seemed a little off early, you sure you're in the right mental state to do this?" Salem asked his friend.

"Meralla-san told me the main reason for coming here was to gain experience and become a more capable mage. And this is my mother's ancestral country and it would be dishonorable if I just left it in its time of crisis" Kagura said determinedly, impressing most of the older mages.

"Hmm alright Kagura." Salem shrugged his shoulders then extended his fist and winked. "Kick lots of ass and don't go dying on me."

Kagura smirked and met his fist with her own. "I won't. I still have things to take care of and we still have a score to settle."

"Alright junior, give your winter girlfriend a kiss goodbye before we leave." Morrigan's statement caused the swordswoman to blush a little.

"Hold on there Salem-chin you and your sexy mom over are more in OW YOU BITCH!" He yelled as Morrigan slapped him with a flesh whip.

"First off all were not related and second, what do you mean we're more involved with this? She asked

"Well the both of you specialize in hunting unseen creatures. He managed to get his hands on two incredibly strong ones, one controlling a whole island floating in the sky and the other being a giant monster from the deep and is using devil's eye magic to control them to attack the capital." The moment he described them Salem's eyes widened

"Oh shit." Salem mumbled.

"What do you mean 'oh shit'. Salem what the hell is going on?" Morrigan asked seriously and all eyes were now on him.

"One of the anomalies is a really freak tree that rooted itself into an island Terraforming it becoming its playground. And the other one is an eight headed dragon called Orochi."

"Salem-san this is incredibly serious. Why did you keep this information from me?" Harumi sternly

"They really were off on the far. Like I said it was just an island and the Orochi was just laying in the ocean far away from here."

"It didn't stop Ryuzen from getting his hands on them!" exclaimed Ritsu."Raiden-dono is right though. You knew these things were around and didn't bother to inform anyone about them. Now the Oni-Dragons got their hands on them, who now's what sort of damage they can do!"

Salem narrowed his eyes with his Iris turning slitted red as not appropriating being yelled at

"You better watch who you're yelling at."

Morrigan then stepped in front of him placing her hand on his and glared down at the imperial knight.

"Back off my kid soldier-boy. Iwas the one who told him to keep his lacrima on the hush as if you want to have a problem with someone then she's standing right in front of you." She eyes turned slitted red.

"Alright that's enough we can't waste time fighting amongst ourselves right now."Kazuki comes between them.

"Kazuki-san is right, we know where the island and monster are located so we should strike now while we have the chance." Akira followed.

Morrigan requested Salem take out his phone so she could see the anomalies saying it was alright. After bringing out his phone, those who were unfamiliar with the device looked at it closely, especially Kenji and Ritsu.

After seeing the location of the creatures the Tree one caught her interest especially the Jade temple it seems to be engrossed in.

Morrigan cleared her throat, gaining their attention." 'Ahem' How about this? Me, Harumi, and Salem, we'll go to the island and take care of this."

"Let me see that Lacrima." demanded Harumi, finding Morrigan shift a little suspicious.

"Nope~." She gave it back to Salem who understood the assignment and put it in his requip space which didn't sit right with Ritsu but decided not to question it for now.

"Won't it make more sense for Raiden-san to be battling the Orochi as well as we will need a lot of firepower to take it down." questioned Tekashi.

"Yes but Ryuzen is more likely on the floating island and since he is a demon host I think having a devil slayer with us will be better."

"Alright, that leaves the dragon. And if we need some firepower I'll contact Serafina-san and ask the others to be on standby." Suggested Akira

"Alright, looks like my job here is done," whistled Kenji but Ritsu wasn't having it.

"You're not going anywhere. You're still going to prison for all the hundreds of crimes you've committed."

"As nice as that sounds." Kenji slipped out of the cuffs by dislocating his thumbs. "I got things to do!" He teleported out of the room.

"Dammit he got away!"

Harumi just shook her head. "We have more important things to worry about now. Ritsu-sn you go to the capital and tell them to start evaluations, Kazuki-san I'm going to need you to gather some reinforcements from your village to take out the strongholds from the map, Akira and Tekashi I'm going to need the two of you to go and you can bringback up with you if you think assistance is needed. For the dragon I'll call someone for extra backup."

"Hai" They all answered.

"Hold it there for another important issue I need to address!" Morrigan spoke in a serious voice, getting everyone's attention. "We're getting paid for this right?"

Salem hummed at the question. "I too am curious about that" He was cool with him if they said no since they were basically helping him do his job but couldn't hurt to ask.

The group just sweatdropped while Ritsu looked like he was about to explode.

"Priorities." They defended themselves and the girl just rubbed her eyes.

"Let's just go, we'll talk about this later." Harumi pushed Morrigan while Kagura was pushing Salem.
