Jonathan woke up in bed. It seemed as though the encounter with the women was just a dream. He got up and dressed himself before leaving the room.
He wandered around the castle, before finding the corridor where he had encountered the women. He found the door that lead to the room where it happened, and he tried opening it, but it wouldn't budge, which was quite peculiar.
He went downstairs to the lounge, and he sat down, looking over his SOS letter to make sure it was clear enough to read. "God help me." Jonathan said to himself before going upstairs to his room.
In his room, he wrote another entry in his journal. "I ended up encountering three beautiful women, and it seemed that one wished to have sex with me. Even worse, Dracula had a bag that I believe small child was in. Things are getting worse and worse. I fear I may not return home to Mina." he wrote.
Later that day:
It was now nighttime. Jonathan was about to get ready for bed, when Dracula barged into his room. "My study, now!" Dracula ordered. "What?! I was about to go to sleep!" Jonathan protested.
"I don't care! My study now!" Dracula ordered. Jonathan, not wanting to anger Dracula, listened to him. They left the room and made their way down to the study.
"What do I have to do this time?" Jonathan asked. "You will be writing another letter to Mr. Hawkins, which will be sent a month later, since we already told him you will be staying for another month." Dracula said.
They entered the study, and Jonathan sat down, grabbing the dip-pen and dipping it into some ink. "I want you to write a letter saying that you are back in Bistritz." Dracula requested. "Why would I have to write it in advance?" Jonathan asked. "Because you will not be in Bistritz on June 17th." Dracula answered.
"What?! Why?!" Jonathan asked in anger, standing up from his seat. "Don't raise your voice at a noble." Dracula ordered before pushing Jonathan back down into his seat. "I have plans for you, good sir. I can't have those plans spoiled, now can I?"
"But-" Jonathan tried to respond, only to be cut off by Dracula placing a finger to his mouth and shushing him. "Fear not. You won't be in Bistritz by then, but you long have returned to England." Dracula said before leaving the room.
That final statement made Jonathan wonder. From what he could tell, Dracula wished to go to England with him, but he couldn't have people knowing of it? So he's crafted a narrative for Mr. Hawkins that Jonathan will be at Bran castle for another month. What did Dracula want to use Jonathan for?
Later that day:
It was now dusk. As nighttime approached, Jonathan looked out a window, and he saw two Romani people. He threw his SOS letter down to them. "Take it to the postal office!" Jonathan shouted before the letter was taken from the two people by Dracula, who looked up at Jonathan, anger in his eyes.
"Lounge room, now!" Dracula ordered. Jonathan complied, quickly making his way down to the lounge area. In the lounge, Dracula walked up to him. "This is insulting! I provide you food, let you stay in my castle, and this is how you repay me?!" Dracula berated Jonathan before throwing the SOS letter into the fireplace, before poking the flame with a fire poker.
Jonathan stepped back slightly, the presence of Dracula with a pointed object unnerving him. "No more slip-ups." Dracula ordered before throwing the fire poker to the ground and walking away.
Jonathan went back up to his room, and he looked around, only to see that all his travel supplies, travel logs, and clothes were missing. Then, he heard the door to his room lock. He rushed over and tried opening the door, but it wouldn't budge.
"Son of a bitch!" Jonathan exclaimed before banging his fist against the door. Then, he heard a carriage outside. He rushed over to the window and looked outside, shouting at the carriage drivers.
"Hey! Get me out of here!" he shouted, but they didn't respond. They just ignored him, unloaded empty boxes, and hastily left.
Jonathan turned on his heel, and he rushed towards the door, before kicking it several times. Eventually, the door busted open, the noise echoing throughout the castle. He walked around the castle, before walking by an open window, and hearing digging outside. He looked out the window, and he saw Dracula digging up soil and shoveling it into the empty boxes.
How did Dracula get the boxes there that fast. He continued walking around, before he found a large pile of dust. Then, the dust turned into the three mistresses. "Ahhhh!" he screamed in terror as he ran away.
He stopped by a window when he heard a woman shouting down below. He looked out the window and saw a 20-something year old woman, before looking at the window that she was looking at, which was the window to Dracula's bedroom. Dracula looked out the window. "Monster, give me back my child!" she shouted. "Children, deal with her." Dracula ordered.
Then, a pack of wolves began emerged from the forest, an they ripped her into pieces, blood splattering across the pathway. One wolf even chomped down on her head.
The next morning:
As day broke, Jonathan kicked open the door into Dracula's bedroom. He looked around, and he saw a staircase in the room. He went down the staircase, and he found a room that contained a coffin with Dracula inside, and there were other coffins that had his mistresses inside.
He kneels down and prepares to search Dracula for the castle keys, but he hesitates out of fear, and he decides to leave.
Later that day: Nighttime was approaching, and Jonathan didn't have much time to escape. He wrote down what could be his final journal entry. "Tonight, I make my final escape attempt, or die trying. Mina, I'm coming home. I won't fail. I swear by it!" he wrote before tucking his journal way in his suit-coat.
He left the room and searched the castle for something that could be used to escape. He looked out a window, and he saw that storm clouds were rolling in. He went to Dracula's room, went down the stairs, and searched Dracula for the keys, only to find nothing.
Then, he noticed the shovel that Dracula was using earlier, propped up against the wall. He grabbed it and rushed back upstairs. He ran to the great door and began hitting at it with the shovel, breaking a hole in the door. He dropped the shovel and went through the hole.
He was now in the courtyard. By this point, nighttime had arrived, and a thunderstorm had started. He began approaching the exit. "You are not gonna kill me, you are not gonna kill me!" he exclaimed to himself before he heard an unholy shrieking noise.
He stopped in his tracks, and his saw the winged beast from his dreams standing on the roof. It had large ears, sharp teeth, red eyes, wings under it's arms, dark reptilian scales, and thin, bony legs. This wasn't just another monster from Hell, it was Dracula.
Dracula stared Jonathan down, and all Jonathan could think of was that this was it. The final showdown between him and the Count, the moment that would decide whether he lives or dies.
Then, Jonathan quickly turned on his heel and made a run for it. Dracula screeched and glided down to him, before grabbing him and throwing him through a window, into one of the castles corridors.
Dracula walked inside, his wings disappeared, his scales turned into light-grey colored skin, his eyes turned white, and his ears shrunk.
Jonathan got up and grabbed an axe from the wall. "So that's how it will be?" Dracula asked. Jonathan didn't respond, and he instead just stood his ground. "Very well then. This. Ends. Now." Dracula said in a low, guttural voice.
Jonathan rushed towards him with the axe, and attempted to chop Dracula's head off, but Dracula simply dodged the attack. Jonathan attempted to hit him again, and again, but Dracula just continued to dodge him.
"You're too slow." Dracula said before breaking the axe in half. "You have no patience." Dracula said before pimp-slapping Jonathan right in the face. "And you're sloppy." Dracula said before hitting Jonathan right in the face with a powerful punch, sending Jonathan face-first to the ground.
"You disappoint me." Dracula said before walking towards Jonathan. Jonathan sat up against the wall, and Dracula kneeled down in front of him. "Oh well, it was going to be the same fate either way. Sad that I had to deliver the news this way. All the coercion was not enough to stop you from fleeing me. You have a strong will, Mr. Harker, but you're a fool." Dracula said, his voice returning to a more human sound.
"But alas, I suppose it's time to tell you what I have planned for you. We leave for a port in Bulgaria in a few weeks. A Russian merchant vessel known as the Demeter shall take us to Whitby England.
To prevent the risk of being caught and defeated on the ship as a result of hunting the crew members down, I will feed on your blood for the four week trip. Even if you turn into one of us, as long as your blood is pumping, I shall feed. And when Mr. Hawkins receives the letter saying that you're in Bistritz, that will give me some time to carry out my plan before you're expected to arrive back home.
Jonathan's eyes slowly closed as he fainted from the head trauma. Dracula turned and looked at a painting of his past self as a human. "At last, I shall rule once more." he said to himself before carrying Jonathan away.
A/N: And that's the end of this chapter. I hope you liked the deviation from the original plot. As the chapters go on, the story is gonna drift further and further from the book. I hope you all enjoy!
