The past can be a haunting memory or a terrifying reality. For Kagome, she just wanted to pursue her love for dancing while trying to hide from her past finding her. Inuyasha, Kikyo's choreographer, would be the only one who would break down her walls and find his way into her heart. But would it be too late? Can anyone run from their past?

36. MY DEAR FANS

My Dear Fans,

I'm sorry it's been taking me so long to update this story. In all honesty, I have had a really bad writer's block and I've forgotten a lot of the story and where I wanted it to go. I fear that it will become like "Fate's Twisted Feathers" and "What Binds Us" if I can't remember the characters and their stories. I hope that won't be the case. I do still hear them from time to time. But the voices are muffled, and I haven't found the inspiration or creative desire to write again.

A lot has happened, as you all know. First my house in August 2023. Then my car in December 2024. Yes, someone banged and totaled my parked car 4 days before Christmas. I have a new car now with monthly payments, which is less than ideal when I'm going to get my first mortgage soon. I am in the process of getting my building permits so hopefully in the next month or two my contractor can start building my home. With the LA fires, it's been triggering a lot of memories and déjà vu for me. I couldn't stop watching the news coverages as I have family and friends there and I know exactly what the people are going through. My heart goes out to them.

I just wanted to give you an update of where I'm at and where the story's at. I appreciate those of you who nominated this story in AO3 and even though it didn't win, I still appreciate the love and support. As of now, I don't see myself updating the story anytime soon. I want to go through and reread the entire story from start to finish and refamiliarize myself with their voices again so I know where the characters want to go next. I already started the next chapter (Las Vegas concert), but I couldn't get through the meet and greets. So I've been stuck there for months. I know I haven't updated since June 2024 so I will try to be back around June 2025, but no promises. I hate letting you guys down.

You have been such an inspiration for me to keep writing with all of your reviews and best wishes during the holidays and the new year. I appreciate you for that. As I've said before, your reviews inspire me to write and it keeps me accountable, so thank you for checking in on me and wanting the story to go on. Hopefully the next time you hear from me, it will be in the form of a new chapter ^_^
