Notes:
1)This chapter will always be last. New chapters will be second last, replacing this one. Appendix will have spoilers for previous chapters, so don't read this first.
2)I define an original character as a character who I name and give some development to. These characters may appear in canon show scenes, but generally are unnamed. Exceptions, blah blah blah.
3)I almost wasted time alphabetizing these, but then realized anyone reading on it can just do a text search function.
4)Hopefully this is as useful to readers as it is to me.
FORMAT
Name[Chapter Introduced]: Description [Chapters with notable advancement]
UNNAMED CHARACTERS
Senile Mole Faunus[C1]: Told younger Adam and other SDC indentured faunus about a tale of true magic, a goddess who would save them from bondage, amongst other various fairytales[C4].
Unnamed Avian-Faunus Tech[C3]: Creator of White Fang's terrorist operating system for their scrolls, FlamingOS; Taurus considers him a tech-whiz, if egotistical and flamboyant. Set his laboratory to self-destruct so that when Atlesian special forces came to arrest him, they could not recover any hardware. Presumed dead.
Grizzled Bartender at The Cracked Mug Tavern, Ilhari[C5]: Also collaborated Farsigan's drunken dialogue to Rover, confirming to the huntsman that his quarry Adam Taurus might still be alive, fooling Rover's tracking semblance somehow[C17].
The Empress of Mistral, aka Grandmother[C17]: Lives by her mantra of "Mistral Magnificent", the epitaph of her long reign over Remnant's largest Kingdom. Has a conservative opinion of the faunus. Was once the owner of Ghira Belladonna, prior to his release from slavery, and is aware of Salem.[C22]
Kangaroo Judge[C29]: Because some people might not have understood that it was a kangaroo court otherwise.
Empress' Majordomo?
SDC Regional Director, Mistral[C12]: Killed by Adam Taurus during a WF operation two years prior, the video of which was spread widely and played at Brazen's trial aboard Ghira's exodus fleet; the man and his wife had little concern for life besides their own, showcased by how the pair tossed their unwanted offspring to an orphanage rather than raise it themselves[C29].
UNIQUE-ISH CREATURES OF GRIMM
Lavel [C3]: A large rodent-like creature of grimm; hooked claws and long spindly tail. Venomous teeth, though filthy lifestyles make their entire body a biohazard.
Wrecker[C33]: small crab-like creatures of grimm that attack in swarms. Their pincers are excellent for snipping at wires, cables, lines, and ropes, making them a nuisance for ships.
Chowder[C33]: Massive alpha grimm like a nightmarish oyster; its tentacle-based interior is protected by two thick shells covered in jagged spikes. Vulnerable to attacks at the joint where its two shells connect. Is able to attack with powerful water-jet shots at range[C35]. The entire beast is in fact grown from a singular, lustrous grimm-pearl: the rest of the body grows around that heart. Cammy Obscura's first alpha grimm kill.
Crusties[C33]: Barnacle-grimm carried by the chowder, secrete acidic slime that eats away at ships.
Twittle[C24]: Name Bedlam gives to a lanky apathy grimm. Loved climbing up wells to scare teenagers. Bedlam believed that the Relic of Choice gave him some manner of control over it and its pack.
Gangle Jim and the Apathy[C24]: The five surviving members of the apathy pack that were trapped under Brunswick Farm, they travelled with Bedlam to Argus. In a state of exhaustion, hypothermia, and severe malnutrition, he decided to give them all names (Twittle Jr., Twiggy, Mr Skull, Gangle Jim, and Frank)[C29] and decided that they would become a musical sensation.
Seer Grimm Pokemon[Vol5]: Used by Watts to communicate with Salem while visiting Lionheart in Mistral, the monster was left abandoned in the school after assassinating the Headmaster. Brazen found it and used it to start a direct conversation with Salem, after which he put it in a nearby sewer for safekeeping[C7]. When the boys relocated to TorchQuik warehouse, Brazen relocated the creature, once again having Salem dehydrate it so that he could put it in his jacket pocket[C14]. Bedlam, having lost his original outfit when captured by Neo, took Brazen's jacket and with it, the Seer, north]. The Seer allowed him to exert some control over the Apathy at Brunswick Farm, having gotten a bit rehydrated by snowfall melting on the jacket, which Bedlam mistook for the power of the Relic of Choice[C24]. He realized his mistake after considering a message sent via scroll text from Brazen using Lichen's scroll, discovering the creature in his jacket pocket but needing it to continue controlling the Apathy he'd led to Argus[C29].
ORIGINAL CHARACTERS
Petrac[C2]: Stag-horned ex-Mistral Police officer, aided Adam's coup against Sienna, part of Adam's War Council. Died in WF HQ.
Luro[C2]: Rabbit faunus in Throne Room. Made the mistake of mentioning Blake after Adam's defeat at Haven. Has a mate also in the throne room, also rabbit-eared. Both died in WF HQ.
Jacen[C2]: Faunus trait gave him scales on his face. Used a pistol, died in WF HQ.
Coloco[C2]: Cat-eared faunus who used a halfsword, died in WF HQ.
Dai, Warden of the Relic of Choice [C2]: Some sort of floating green bat-lizard-crab creature that came out an old ring Adam found at Beacon. Less important to the story than she likes to think she is. This appendix is maintained by the Relic of Knowledge, as always, your best source of honest, unbiased information.
Henry and Company[C5]: Patrol of humans from Ilhari Hamlet that ran into the trio of Taurus. No survivors, though they had families who wonder what happened to them.
Farsigan[C5]: Drunk prospector, scion of AsbestOz Mining Company, spends most of his time in Ilhari drinking and dreaming. Told Rover about a trio of probable faunus beelining from where the WF HQ was towards Mistral city[C17]. Brazen sees him again at the AMC mine after being captured[C35].
Rothy Cloven[C6]: Doe-footed faunus, curly brown hair. Kuchinashi native. Her father is human(Mitch, military ambulance[C17]). Her presence on a train under attack is enough to warrant the Taurus Trio getting up to defend it. Saved from being a street urchin by Dominic and Lichen[C9]. Her family runs the C'Lovin Motel in Kuchinashi, which has sadly been downgraded to the status of a place to have one-night stands since the locals are a bit disparaging of any establishment run by a faunus (Rothy's Mother), and she is put to work as a towel girl[C17]. Kali remarks their last name is Cloven[37].
Cammy Obscura[C6]: Reporter in the big city, native of Kuchinashi where she was raised by her grandparents, took picture of Taurus Trio defeating grimm swarm attacking civilian train. Is assigned Sage and Scarlet as her personal bodyguards[C17]. Unemployed as of [C24]. Has her aura unlocked by Scarlet[C25]. Her semblance lets her record memories as scroll video.
Maureen[C9]: A girl from Kuchinashi that is in the same age-group as Rothy, but is of a higher social status and human. Rothy gets a lot of her understanding about the world from listening to Maureen brag.
Lichen[C7]: Short and pudgy arctic fox-faunus, thick spectacles held up by her exaggerated snout. Was saved years prior by the WF from a slave operation, given posting in Mistral City running a safehouse that has not been maintained much.
Salt[C7]: Teenaged daughter of Lichen; arctic-fox faunus tail. Arrested and molested by human soldiers in [C25, then gets to watch Dominic slaughter her assailants with his bare hands.
Barnes[C8]: Menagerie weasel-faunus who accompanied his wife after she signed up for the Belladonna's intervention at Haven mission. Expresses discontent at having to stay around longer to clean up the remaining stain of Adam's White Fang. Hangs out with a vole-faunus eared chum in Mistral City.
The Pilot[C8]: An abomination grimm/human cyborg who guards Hazel's group's means of exfiltration. Implied to be the creation of Dr Watts.
Crown Prince of Mistral[C9]: Stocky man who favours ornate military dress-uniforms. Neptune's older cousin, Jupiter (though he tends to go by the shorter 'Piter'), he has a conservative opinion of the faunus he's inherited from his grandmother[C17]. Canon note: both he and Neptune's brother are named Jupiter, after a great-great grandfather. It is a point of contention between their families. Having learned of Salem from his grandmother, he sees the faunus (Lionheart, Ghira, and Taurus) as agents acting to weaken humanity for the Grimm Queen[C22]. Air-semblance[C24].
Rover: Mentioned as 'having a semblance that lets him track an individual he is familiar with' by Ghira during a meeting with Weiss and Blake[C15]. Calls his semblance 'Nonscents', a psychic divination-type that lets him attune to a person's character to track them; requires concentration and an emotional bond to the target, either personal or provided by an object(s) that characterises them. Declared Taurus dead at WF HQ, only to discover in Ilhari that he possibly did so in error, so he rushes back to city to report to the authorities… but crashes his ride. Rothy confirms that Taurus is alive, so he ends up getting taxied back to city in Rothy's father's ambulance as Cammy, Scarlet, and Sage try to chase down Bole to stop the story[C17]. Sacrificed his freedom to give Sage, Scarlet, and Cammy a literal window to escape during the standoff with Jupiter at the Media office[C24]. Jupiter mentions that Rover was remanded to The Theatre for debriefing[C27, which turns out to be Clockwork Orange-style brainwashing[C35].
Rufio[C15]: Acted as security liaison provided for Ghira by Mistral's Monarch. Intimidated by Ghira to give him some personal space to chat with his daughter and Weiss. Was once first-mate aboard the Lost Boys' ship (The Jolly Rogered), now the leader of Prince Jupiter's Royal Retinue, conditioned to obey orders from Mistral's Royal Family[C27].
Olanna Thyme[C15]: Leader of the Atlas White Fang branch, at least the last time Ghira checked. Sheep faunus. Known for preference for use of sleeper agents and infiltration tactics, but still anything but docile.
Rufous Bole[C17]: News cameraman, working to keep his family fed. Not very smart, but certainly an opportunist when something falls right into his hands. Sent to Kuchinashi to assist Jupiter's soldiers in arresting Rothy and her family [C24]
Plutony, aka Tony[C17]: The son of the current governor of Fort Castle, cousin to Crown Prince Jupiter and Neptune; rules Fort Castle while his father is occupied across the sea and is responsible for having the captured Ghira flown to the city[C35].
June[C17]: Piter's wife. Malachite considers her a 'rival', so has Neo make a smut film featuring her[C22].
Headmaster Beige[C7]: The replacement for the deceased Professor Lionheart at Haven Academy. Mentioned by name by Piter[C17].
Mossai Cleft[C20]: Green-haired clerk at Toys 'N Us. Neo and Brazen rob the place and leave her tied up watching an old liberal promotional ad Ghira made to improve race relations. Worked with Shelly, prior to exodus.
A-Dom Tear-Ass & Bloke Hellabooty[C20]: Characters in an in-fiction pornographic parody film, mocking Adam and Blake in tasteless homosexual smut. Terrible acting. Neo watches the film in [C22].
Imaginary Roman Torchwick[C21]: Not a symptom of Neopolitan's fracturing mental state. Starts out as a mirror mirage, but Neo decides to burn energy making it have a little tiny body that looks like the classic Devil-On-My-Shoulder, twirling its cane and acting totally fabulous as Torchwick would. Typically racist towards Adams and faunus in general, urges Neo to manipulate and deceive everyone around her so that she comes out the winner in her quest to avenge Real-Roman.
Brick & Mortar[C22]: Not original characters, they were from Roman Holiday. I use them as generic thugs working for Malachite that are responsible for security at the Luck of the Mountain establishment and probably other nearby gang-protected businesses. They filled in Neo on their backstories but she was more interested in getting drunk to really listen[C33].
Imaginary Trivia Vanille[C22]: Representation of Neo's vulnerable, feminine side and expression of her daddy issues? Fonder of the relationship with Taurus than Mini Roman, generally more concerned about what life will be like after revenge is meted out on Cinder. 10/10, would hallucinate.
Justin[C24]: Former studio chairman of Mistral City's state-run media, his employment suffered after several network breaches happened on his watch - dissemination of Lionheart's treachery to the public, insertion of riot spectacle during Prince's exodus speech, Neopolitan's smut film…
Ward Lionheart[C25]: salt-and-pepper hair on his head and knuckles, young faunus boy, captured by Mistral soldiers and branded in Haven's armoury. Grandson of Headmaster Lionheart. Can pilot Mistral airships.
Liana Lionheart[C25]: salt-and-pepper hair like her brother's, slightly older. Can pilot Mistral airships.
Curly[C27]: One of Scarlet's Lost Boys, now member of Jupiter's Royal Retinue.
Slightly[C27]: One of Scarlet's Lost Boys, now member of Jupiter's Royal Retinue.
Nibs[C27: One of Scarlet's Lost Boys, now member of Jupiter's Royal Retinue.
The Twins[C27]: Two of Scarlet's Lost Boys, members of Jupiter's Royal Retinue. They were put in charge of the strike against Ghira's ships bound for Menagerie.
Shelly[C28]: Sea-turtle faunus, has fins sprouting off her elbows. Former employee of Toys 'N Us, decided to move to Menagerie with Ghira's exodus offer. Saved Brazen from drowning and helped nurse his injuries aboard the ship.
Eileen[C28]: Eel-faunus, nicknamed 'Eeleen' by Shelly. Saved Brazen from drowning and helped nurse his injuries aboard the ship.
Stela Day[C29]: Weasel-whiskered faunus destined to Menagerie with Ghira's exodus, she acts as Brazen's defense paralegal during his sham of a trial. Intends to work as best as she can for his case, to help her aspirations of becoming a lawyer in Menagerie by showing how well she can do with such a lost cause. Takes no issue with her client being drugged and gagged by the prosecution[C32].
Curdis and Wei[C35]: Lil' Miss Malachite's pair of bodyguards. [error - chapter edited] [c37]: Introduced by Lil' Miss Malachite via scroll call with Neo
