Several hours and fights later, the finals were about to begin.
"Well folks, today sure has been an amazing one," said Nadja who was in the announcer booth with Armand giving commentary on the fight.
"You can say that again, Nadja," said Armand.
"Newcomer Marinette Dupain-Cheng has managed to sweep her way through the tournament and has reached the finals," he said.
"Go Mari!" yelled Kagami as Marinette entered the arena to cheering.
"And her opponent, a pirate under Baron Jagged Stone, Luka Couffaine!" said Nadja.
"I didn't think we would be meeting in a place like this, Marinette," said Luka as she walked onto the stage.
"Same here, but just because we're friends doesn't mean I'm going to hold back," said Marinette.
"I wouldn't expect you to, so give me everything you have," said Luka as they both drew their swords. However, Hawk Moth landed into the middle of the ring before the fight could start.
"This tournament stops now!" said the villain whose outfit had turned bright red.
"What have you done, Hawk Moth?!" asked the Tower Master who had been watching along with Queen Zoe in the biggest booth.
"I've unlocked more power than ever before," said Hawk Moth before releasing hundreds of Akumas into the stadium.
"Not good," said Adrien.
"I have to get out of here to transform," thought Marinette as she left the arena.
"Run all you want, but soon this whole city will be under my control!" said Hawk Moth as people were turned one by one into Akumatized villains.
"This is no time for me to be just sitting around," said Alya as she ran out of the booth, leaving Adrien and Kagami behind.
"That at least helps me," said Adrien before transforming.
