"I can't work on our projects tonight." Oz told Willow the next day, they'd had to move their work out of the school with the new classes and his Aunt and Uncle had let them have the basement to work in. "My Aunt asked me to watch Jordy tonight, I forgot all about it and she reminded me this morning. They've got a thing in Los Angeles and will be gone overnight."

"I could help watch him if you want." Willow offered. "Jordy's a cutie."

"Likes you." Oz grinned slightly. "Good taste."

Willow giggled. "Must run in the family since you like me too. So, do you want me to come over or are we spending too much time together and you need a breather?"

"Too much fun." Oz shook his head. "In sync."

"We are, aren't we?" Willow's smiled widened, she was chatty, he was monosyllabic. They were both geniuses, she was terrified of singing in public and he played in a band. They worked well together and they were happy and they continued to chat, in their own way, as they headed to their classes. That evening Willow arrived about a half hour before Oz's Aunt and Uncle left and greeted them as she entered through the back door.

"Willow, good, you're here." Carson, Oz's Uncle smiled at her. "We're a little frazzled, Jordy's started teething and he's not dealing well with the pain, poor little guy. He's not sleeping much and missed his nap this afternoon, so he's really cranky. His Mom's putting some stuff on his gums right now, it helps a little, but he's still uncomfortable. He's so worn out he'll probably fall asleep early, so you and Daniel could have a fairly easy time with him. Of course, his gums could keep him up all night too." Carson said apologetically, unlike his nephew, he was very talkative.

"Poor baby." Willow said sympathetically. "Don't worry, we'll manage." She assured him. "Just try to relax and enjoy yourselves, you rarely get any time off as it is. Well except for the three nights you spending camping and meditating every month." Oz's Aunt and Uncle were very mellow people and had a sixties vibe to them.

"True, we haven't had a vacation since a few years before Jordy was born." Carson admitted. "Maybe this summer - but we don't have time for that right now, we need to get going. Thanks for helping Daniel watch Jordy." As his wife, Sandy, entered the kitchen.

"No problem, like I told Oz, he's a cutie."

"I manage to get some medicine on his gums and he's calming down." Sandy told them. "Daniel is trying to tickle him to get him to laugh, I don't think he's really in the mood for laughing right now. Let him rest and sleep how he wants to, he needs to catch up on his sleep." Sandy finished as the two headed out. "We'll be back tomorrow afternoon. You can sleep in the guest room if you decide to stay the night." She fixed a Mom look on Willow. "And as I've reminded Daniel, we're trusting you two to behave yourselves."

Willow went bright red as she understood Oz's Aunt was letting her know, No Sex! "Yes, ma'am." Willow assured her. "We're not, we've only -, guest room, got it!" The two adults left and Willow went to find Oz and Jordy, just as Oz exclaimed, "Ow!"

"Oz?" Willow inquired, coming in the room. "Everything okay?"

"Jordy's not in the mood to be tickled." Oz held up his finger. "Sharp baby teeth."

"Oh boy." Willow hurried towards him and grabbed his hand and examined the bite. "I'll say, he got you good, you're bleeding. Come on, let's get that cleaned up, it's a gross fact that the human mouth is full of germs and a bite like that could cause an infection."

"I'll do it, stay with Jordy." Oz headed to the bathroom to deal with the bite and Willow sat on the chair next to the crib and talked to the adorable little fellow with a tear streaked face.

"Oh, you're miserable right now, aren't you?" She made a sad face and Jordy nodded, his lower lip stuck out. "You just want to sleep and those sharp little teeth won't let you." Tears fell down Jordy's swollen cheeks and he held his arms out, wanting to be held and Willow stood up and lifted him out of the crib. "I don't know much about babies myself." She told him. "But I do know how miserable being in pain can make you. It's okay, sweetie," She returned to the chair and sat down. "just relax and let the medicine work." She sang softly, she might be afraid to sing in public but that didn't mean she couldn't sing. Jordy closed his eyes and snuggled against her and let himself be lulled to sleep.

Only to wake up a couple hours later back in his crib and his gums hurting again. He loudly informed his cousin and his girlfriend of that fact.

"We should put some more of that medicine on his gums." Willow decided. "It helped for awhile, it should help again."

"I'll get it." Oz retrieved it from the medicine cabinet in the bathroom and Willow plucked it from his hand.

"I'll do it, he already bit you once, you don't need another bite." Willow gently rubbed the medicine over Jordy's swollen gums and felt one of the very sharp baby teeth scrap against her finger, drawing a drop of blood. She used her other hand to finish up and then cleaned her hands, seeing no more than the drop of blood, she quickly forgot about it.
