ASEEC Mobile Trailer
Ren was studying the manual for the Lancelot. He didn't know anyone was close to a seventh-generation Knightmare, let alone have a working prototype. He was fascinated. This thing had greater speed and strength than any other Knightmare. It had a built-in shield system and a new type of weapon called the MVS sword. Lloyd walked through the doors and asked, "Ren, have you had a chance to look over the manual?" Ren nodded and said, "I only have one concern. There is no ejection block." Lloyd smiled and said, "True, I didn't have room after I crammed everything else in there. I'm still trying to figure out how to outfit an ejection block but it might take some time. Unfortunately, that is not something we have. The Viceroy has ordered us into the field and I need data." Ren sighed and said, "Understood, anything to stop those terrorists." Ren climbed into the Lancelot and started the system checks. Cecille did the same thing and everything came back green. The Lancelot was ready for launch. Lloyd said, "Stand by for launch. One, two, three launch!" The Lancelot shot out of the trailer and raced into the ghetto. Cecille looked at Lloyd and said, "I can tell Ren is conflicted. He wants to pledge his loyalty to Britannia but he might dive too deep into that corruption. Without anyone to help him, his legacy will be carnage and death." Lloyd looked at his assistant. He knew these words to be true. Something happened early in Ren's life that caused him to become like this. Lloyd could only hope he found the line between being a soldier and an execution squad.
Shinjuku Ghetto
Jaune was just about to order an assault on Marcus's Command Center when a lone IFF appeared on the screen. It was moving at an astonishing speed. The first person to encounter it was Russel Thrush. He called on the radio, "There's a single Knightmare frame, don't worry I've got it." Russel opened fire and Ren activated his left Blaze Luminous and blocked all the rounds. Russel was shocked and before he could do anything else Ren rushed forward. He activated his MVS sword and stabbed the cockpit. Cardin and Dove saw this and screamed, "NO!" Dove rushed forward and tried to get around the Lancelot but, Ren was too fast he slashed Dove's Sutherland apart and watched it explode. Cardin knew he couldn't beat that thing, so he ejected and contacted Coco. He was crying as he said, "That crazy pilot killed Russel and Dove, we have to get out of here." Jaune knew their Knightmare's were out of their depth but he had an idea. Even if that Knightmare was faster, it couldn't kill what it couldn't hit. He called out to Ruby and Yang, "Q-1 and R-1, That pilot won't hesitate to kill you. Distract it but don't engage it. We have to evacuate the civilians and our stolen Knightmares. I will stop Britannia but you have to buy me a little time." Ruby and Yang acknowledged and moved toward the new Knightmare. Jaune turned to Sun and said, "I have to put an end to this battle. You take N.P. back to Ashford and keep her safe. When you get there check up on Jade, she must be worried about me." Sun nodded and left the Knightmare with the strange woman. Jaune made his way to the edge of Shinjuku and donned a soldier's uniform.
Viceroy Black's Command Center
Jaune walked out of the Knightmare and walked up to two soldiers who were standing guard. They raised their rifles and pointed them at Jaune. One yelled out, "This is Viceroy Black's Command Center. Take off your helmet and identify yourself." Jaune took off the helmet and activated his Geass. He ordered the two guards to find civilians and help them evacuate. They rushed off and Jaune continued into the Command Center. Every soul he encountered was commanded to help civilians evacuate. Finally, he made it into the empty Command Center and held Marcus at gunpoint. He hid his face in the shadows and said, "Order an immediate ceasefire or I will blow your brains all over the wall." Marcus held up his hands in a placating manner and said, "Look whatever you want, I can get it for you." Jaune repeated his earlier statement, "Order a ceasefire now!" Marcus obliged and got on the loudspeakers. His voice rang out across the entire Shinjuku Ghetto "I Marcus Black, viceroy of Area Eleven, hereby command you, all forces are ordered to cease fire at once. You are to also cease the destruction of any buildings or property. All casualties, whether Britannian or Eleven, shall be treated equally and without prejudice. In the name of Marcus Black, you are hereby ordered, to cease fire at once. I shall allow no further fighting." Marcus turned off the loudspeaker and said, "There, are you satisfied? Wanna sit and play a game of chess now?" Jaune walked into the light and said, "No, you'd only lose." Marcus looked at this strange blond boy and asked, "Who are you?" Jaune chuckled and said, "Someone who will change the world. I am a knight of darkness and I will free this planet from evil." Jaune raised his pistol and killed the Viceroy. Jaune now had to escape and stash his Knightmare somewhere it wouldn't be found. This was going to be a pain.
Ashford Academy, Student Council Building
Jaune had arrived at the Student Council building later that evening. He had to make sure no one was following him. He finally entered and saw his sister Jade coloring in a book. Their maid Brooke was fixing the table. Jade looked up and saw Jaune. She let out a cry of happiness and ran to her big brother. She gave him a big hug and said, "Jaune what took you so long, we were supposed to watch a movie before dinner." Jaune smiled and apologized, "Sorry sis, I had a few errands to run and they took longer than expected. I'm here now though." Jade pouted and went to sit at the table. Sun came down with N.P. She had changed into the female version of the Academy uniform and she looked much more relaxed. Jade perked up at seeing them and said, "Sun is eating with us and he brought his cousin to visit. Isn't that great?" Jaune quirked an eyebrow before mouthing, "Cousin?" Sun shrugged his shoulders and said, "Thank you for having us. The house is going through some renovations and it's just easier if we stay with you." Jaune smiled "Of course. The more the merrier. After dinner, I need to talk with you both upstairs real quick." Sun and N.P. nodded before digging into the pot roast.
After dinner, Jaune brought both people to his room and closed the door. He looked at Sun and said, "You are my best friend, I trust you with my life. After N.P. saved my life she was able to give me a special power. This power is called Geass. She said it's the power of the King. That's how I was able to save us from the Royal Guard and steal that original Knightmare." Sun was dumbfounded for a few seconds before he smiled and said, "That is so cool." Jaune smirked at his friend's silly attitude and turned to N.P. He adopted a thoughtful face and asked, "What form did my power take? If you gave this to me, can you give it to others? How did you survive that bullet? Do you have any special abilities? The last question is, what is your wish?"
N.P. thought about how to answer those questions before she decided to go through them one by one. She signed, "First, every Geass is different. It takes a different form for everyone. Yours took the form of total obedience as long as they could see your left eye. Second, I can give this to others and I have. I have been alive for Eon's and I have had many contractors. Not one has been able to fulfill my wish. Third, I am immortal. How or why is unknown to me. I just know that for some reason I cannot die or age. Fourth, yes and no. I have no Geass if that is what you mean. I can bestow it but not use it. It also does not affect me. I have no other abilities aside from those. Lastly, my wish is for a gentler world. I wish to create a world of peace." Jaune looked at N.P. and slowly walked toward her. He smiled and pulled her into a loving hug. He whispered, "Then I am just the knight to do that." He sat there hugging N.P. for a few minutes and slowly got up. He asked, "N.P. could you bestow Sun with Geass? I trust him with my life and He wishes for that same world that we do." N.P. gazed at Sun for a few seconds before nodding she walked over and placed her hands on Sun's. Her pink code glowed and Sun looked up after a few minutes. He took a deep breath and opened his eyes. The Geass symbol glowed bright gold and several hard light copies of Sun appeared. He closed his eyes and the copies disappeared just as quickly. He looked at N.P. and said, "Thank you for this gift." She smiled and nodded her head. She signed, "I am rather tired, I'm going to sleep here. No peaking you two." N.P. proceeded to undress and climb into bed. Jaune and Sun turned red and quickly left the room. Jaune sighed and said, "I don't know what I'm going to do with her." Sun chuckled and said, I know what I would do." Jaune glared his friend into submission. Sun chuckled uneasily, "Take it easy, we've both had a long day. Let's rest first and we can decide what our next plan is tomorrow. Morning is always best when making decisions." Jaune nodded and followed Sun to his double room. Sleep would come easy to the pair despite their exciting day. Today they won at Shinjuku. Tomorrow was a new day full of exciting opportunities.
