Sleepover!:
(Sleepover time! Time to just chill! Also, to Klonoa Waddle Dee, I did like that Bluey episode! And also, thank you for coming up with the idea of this one-shot! So, some fun facts, later along the lines, they'll be playing Smash Bros. This is based on when me and my friends used to play it. They always hated one thing I did! Enjoy the chapter!)
Zeke set up the Nintendo Switch to the tv at Diane's. Today was gonna be fun, Marshall and Akio were coming over for a sleepover! This would be one of Zeke's first sleepovers and he's hoping it'll be a huge blast!
"So, any ideas on what you boys are gonna do?" Shark asked his nephew. "Well, I'm setting up the game for Smash Bros, Marshall wanted to watch movies, and then Akio wanted to water balloon fight, I think?" Shark looked confused, "He does realize he's coming over a SLEEPOVER, right?" He asked. "No, he figured it'd shake things up and be unexpected fun." Zeke said. Shark smiled, "Well, it should be fun tonight, I hope, kiddo!" Shark patted Zeke's head.
"Haha, I hope so, too! Um, Uncle Lou could you put this cable into the tv?" Zeke asked, "Got it!" Shark said, hooking up an HDMI cable to the tv screen.
(Later)
Diane and Wolf were watching tv, "Willing to bet Snake's gonna be a little annoyed tonight with Zeke's friends coming over?" Diane asked, Wolf laughing a little. "Yeah, I can see that." Wolf said, understanding Snake. "I just hope Webs won't be annoyed by how loud they'll probably be." he said, Diane giggled. "I can hear you guys, you know?" Webs said, not looking up from her laptop. "S-Sorry, Webs." Wolf apologized. "Oh! Diane, this is the perfect night for a girls trip, right? Zeke has his friends over with the boys, and you know where that could leave the two of us?" Webs asked. "Huh, I guess we could. Did you have somewhere in mind?" Diane said, Webs moving out of her way to show Diane what she was looking up, a few places and restaurants to head to. "Oh, okay. I guess we could." Wolf smiled, Diane and Tarantula seemed to get along great.
"Well, I guess. Just try not to miss me TOO hard, Madam Governor?" Wolf said, clearly flirting. Diane laughed a little, "Haha, like that's gonna happen." she said, charismatically. Wolf just smiled, knowing that she was joking.
Then, they heard at knock at the door. "Is that them?!" Zeke looked up, eyes lighting up with excitement. "Let me see, kiddo." Wolf said, opening the door. "Oh, hi, Mr. Hayashi!" Wolf said, "Hi there, Mr. Wolf. I'm here to drop off Akio." Kazuto said, "Hey, Akio!" Zeke waved, Akio smiled, "Great to see you, dude!" Akio said through his signs, "Because…I need to bring up some startling news!" Zeke looked a little confused, "Wh-What is it?" Zeke asked.
"Coconuts have water in them." Akio said, smirking mischievously. "Hahaha! That IS startling!" Zeke played along, the two boys laughing. Wolf was a little confused; He seriously needed to learn sign language.
"I always thought it was milk." Zeke said, giggling.
"Now then, I'll be back tomorrow to pick him up. Make sure he gets to sleep, please? He skipped sleep one time and had trouble staying awake the next day." Mr. Hayashi explained, "You got it, Mr. H! I promised they could stay up until midnight, but I'll make sure they get to sleep." Wolf said. "Thank you, Mr. Wolf." Mr. Hayashi, who said in sign language to his son.
"I'll be going now, okay? You have fun." Akio nodded, "Okay, Dad. Love you!" Akio said, hugging his dad goodbye.
"Okay, did you hear from Marshall yet?" Akio asked, "No, not yet." Zeke explained, looking at his phone. "Wanna go for a round on Smash Bros?" Akio nodded.
(More later)
Marshall managed to get here, Zeke was starting to think he wasn't going to show. The three boys were coming up with suggestions on what to do. Meanwhile, Wolf would just search it up,
"Ok, for movies, what are we watching?" Akio perked up, "Let's watch Guardians of the Galaxy!"
"I was gonna suggest Ocean's 11." Zeke said, "Haha, that's my boy!" Wolf said, realizing he raised his son up on that kind of movie. "What about you, Marshall?" Zeke asked.
Marshall blushed, "Uh…Pokemon?"
"There are tons of those movies, though." Akio said. "We can watch all three—maybe!"
"HE LLEGADO A MI FORMULARIO FINAL!" They heard Piranha shouting at the top of his lungs! He burst through the door, running in wildly! "¡Hola, sobrino! ¿Quién está listo para la fiesta?!" Piranha was acting CRAZY, jumping from furniture to appliances! "U-Uh, what's wrong with him?!" Marshall asked, kinda worried. "It's caffeine…I hope?" Zeke said, kinda worried. Akio waved his hand over his head, showing his lack of surprise.
"Yeah, s-sorry about that. He guilt-tripped me into getting coffee for him!" Shark said! "And you FELL for it?!" Snake said, barely walking in with the two. "Ok, ok! Let's not panic. Let's try to calm Piranha down!" Wolf said, maintaining a level head. "We…should be okay, right?" Marshall asked, "Yeah, all Tío does is just run and bounce around when this happens!" Zeke said, Piranha then bounced toward the couch, which startled the boys. "Hi, Zekey! Hi, Laser-Captain! Hi, Glasses!" Piranha greeted the two boys!
"My name is Marshall!" Marshall said, "Tío, calm down. You're scaring Shermy!" Zeke said, before seeing the cat was fast asleep in his bed. Zeke sighed, "Dang it, Shermy." Zeke muttered, "That was the worst lie you could come up with, chamaco!" Piranha said, happy, "So, how's the sleepover? What are you guys gonna do? Wanna see me take down Shark in a mini-second?" Marshall sighed, "We don't need to see that?"
"There he is! Piranha!" Snake said, "Hahahahhaha! You'll never take me alive!" Piranha said, the three boys looked around, "Whatever we do, keep him away from the game controllers until he calms down." Akio said, proceeding to warn his friends. "Seriously." Marshall and Zeke said, simultaneously.
"Piranha, seriously. Cut it out!" Wolf said, trying to talk sense into him. "No way! I'm having too much fun bouncing around. Can I have some more coffee?" Shark was nervous, "Don't give in…Don't give in…" the fish said quietly to himself.
"Please, Shark…?" Piranha asked, trying to sound innocent. "Shutting it down, now. The answer's no! Go watch tv with the boys or something!" Wolf scolded their friend. Piranha groaned, annoyed. "Aw man…" Piranha whined, jumping to the next place!
Akio was holding in his laughter, "He's an adult, right? Why doesn't he just go grab coffee himself?" The raccoon asked in sign language, Marshall and Zeke laughing a little.
(Later)
"I win!" Marshall said, beating Piranha at a round of Smash Bros! "Noooo! That freezy thing Lucas does is a stupid move!" Piranha said, "It clearly wasn't stupid if I kept winning because of it." Marshall said, fixing his glasses. "Okay, the next round goes to Akio and Zeke." Marshall said.
The two were fired up with intensity. "This is it. Our tiebreaker." Zeke said, "Indeed. Get ready to eat dirt, Bluey!" Akio said in sign language, menacing a cocky smirk.
"Oh, now THIS is gonna be fun!" Piranha shouted, "Don't you EVER just shut up?!" Snake asked, from the other side of the room. "Don't YOU ever stop whining?!" Piranha said, clearly intending to antagonize Snake. "Okay, okay, that's enough fighting." Shark said, trying to make sure they don't start fighting again. "You guys DO realize this is Diane's place, right? We can ruin it, she's gonna get enraged with us if that happens." Wolf said.
"Aww, Wolfy, that's sweet!" Shark said, "Wh-What?" Wolf asked, confused. "You only care because you like her, right?" Snake asked, sly.
Wolf started blushing, nervously. "N-No, it-it's not like that! I-I'm just…trying to be responsible! Yeah, that's definitely what I'm doing!" Wolf explained.
Shark put his hand on his friend's shoulder, "Aww, you ARE in love with Diane!" Shark said, Wolf blushed even further, losing his fortitude second-by-second. Zeke's eyes lit up, but remained his focus on the game.
"…O-Okay, our mains, no items, pure skill!" Zeke said, picking his rules.
"Zekey! Zekey! Zekey!" Piranha said, remaining biased during this match! "Good luck guys, just don't get too caught up in the fighting." Marshall said.
Zeke knew his greatest challenge would be fighting Akio's Samus. "This time, I get a win against Samus!" Zeke thought to himself.
The two started button-mashing, the way of creating combo attacks in Smash Bros! Zeke took his first chances, primarily trying to avoid Akio's attacks!
"Gotcha!" Zeke shouted, trying to attack while Samus was in midair. "Yes!" Zeke said. Akio kept his smile, attacking the Inkling while he made his getaway! "Ouch!" Zeke said.
"C'mon, chamaco! Make the comeback!" Piranha said. Marshall formed a small smile, hoping this would end his friends's newfound rivalry. It was strange watching Zeke get as competitive as he did when he played games, and Akio…Akio's pretty much the most bold person he knows right now.
…As expectations were high, the game later crashed for a moment. "Son of a-!" Zeke and Piranha almost shouted. "Hey! Language!" Shark shouted. "-Submariner..." Zeke said. "-Building block..." Piranha folded his arms. "Sorta better..."
(Later)
Marshall and Zeke were still awake watching the movie they decided on. Akio had crashed in his sleeping bag. "So, had fun, right?" Zeke asked, "Yeah, it's been fun." Marshall said, petting the cat. "So…my first sleepover was fun?" Zeke asked, "Were you worried we weren't gonna have fun?" Marshall asked. "Kinda. This is the first sleepover I've actually had." Zeke explained, Marshall nodded, realizing where the blue rabbit was going with it. "Because of where you grew up, right?" Marshall asked. Zeke nodded, "I was kinda worried on what to do, and I didn't want to be the only one having fun, you know?" Akio woke up slightly and started asking what they were talking about. "Oh, just how much fun we had." Zeke said, "Yeah, and since…well…you guys are my first friends. I didn't wanna mess this up." Akio squinted his eyes, "How could you mess up a sleepover?" he asked in sign language, "Sorry…I got a little anxious, is all." Zeke said. Marshall nodded, "Yeah, well…like I said, I had fun. Thanks, for inviting us to the sleepover, Zeke." Marshall said, Zeke smiled fondly. "No problem, g. So, whose turn is it next time we have one of these?" He asked.
"I guess it'll be mine, plus side to my house is no coffee-enraged piranhas." Marshall said, Zeke giggled. "Yeah, I guess so." Akio smiled, "We could always go to my house, too! We can raid the pantry for those cool taffies my mom usually gets!" Akio suggested. "Yeah, I guess we can do that…if she lets us, I think?" Zeke asked, kinda worried about permission in that regard.
The boys then went to bed, getting ready for the next morning. Next sleepover day will be fun, they'd be sure of.
(Ok, we've reach the denouement of this chapter! I had fun with this! I feel like the easiest character I can write is Piranha, I guess that's why he's showing up so much more frequently. I have a few more one-shot ideas in mind. But I will ask one thing, I've been wondering how well I've been keeping Zeke's character. I'm asking if he's still consistent with who he is in both fics I'd appreciate an answer, it's nice to hear criticism. Anyways, stay strong and awesome! Remember to not keep your affections on the things here, but on the things above!(Colossians 3:2))
