Moving into the new room, Sibella led them into the dining room. It was a grand looking hall, which had a huge rustic wooden table that stretched the length of the room. A piece of furniture that seemed more Medieval then Victorian like the rest of the school's decor, both ornate at times but in their own distinct ways. It seemed that mostly one side was used more than the rest, as even with all the students there and the staff, they wouldn't fill the table normally. So most of the accents and lighting were shifted to the more used side of the table close to the kitchen. And since they didn't use the table as much as it could, most of the chairs that filled down the length of the table, had been borrowed for one thing or another. Only tending to being used when guests visited. And Sibella hadn't gotten around to gathering more chairs yet. Another thing that she chided herself for not preparing ahead of time.

"Fang-give me, but we forgot to prepare enough chairs for a meal, I didn't know exactly when you were to arrive. So, I have yet to bring them all here. Winnie, Phanty…. Do you mind fetching two extra chairs from the classrooms?" Sibella clapped her hands together, hoping that her fellow teachers would be able to make quick work for gathering the extra chairs for them to sit upon.

"Sure Sibella! I'll get it in two shakes of a howl!" Winnie said, tossing up a thumb up to her friend and dashed off with a clatter of claws upon the wooden flooring in her wake. A cloud of dust was kicked up as she darted out of the room.

"I would love to help! Ahahahahaha." Pushing off where she had been hovering, Phantasma responded and then aimed straight at the celling. Disappearing into the framework above and somewhere into the second floor to nab a chair she must have known where it had gone.

Normally, they had enough room for all the teachers and the students; which equaled only ten chairs. So, with the students on leave, they had enough chairs for the total of Mystery Inc members and the teachers, but was missing two extra chairs for Melvin and Scrappy. Those were the chairs that needed to be obtained before they would all be accounted for. At least until the girls arrived the next day, but that would be adequate time for Sibella to find the rest and prepare for breakfast. Also, the school grounds butler Octopus would be home with the students, and would have a better idea where all of them might have gotten too.

"Well, while those two are finding the last two chairs, why don't we get you all settled. With Shaggy and Scooby in the kitchen, we can work out how you would like to sit for the meal. We know that this might be a bit new and scary, but we want to make sure you are all comfortable. So please let us know how you would like for us to sit, so it works out best for you." Sibella offered, trying to make sure she took their well-being into account. Especially with the earlier misunderstanding.

Having followed the teachers in from the other room, the humans and ghouls had been in two separate groups. Not really mixing, as they were still getting used to each other. But at the offer of choosing how they would be sat, eyes drifted to stare at two people in particular. Velma and Melvin.

"Well, we are guests here, so I think that getting to know one another would be a good idea." Velma spoke honestly.

She was still getting used to the idea, but she was slowly becoming more accustomed to the school. Especially with how mundane the situation was. It was sitting around talking in a living room, and then having a meal in a dining room. It would have probably been vastly different for the woman if there was a chase involved at some point, or if they had to enter some strange torture room to get there… but really it had been pretty, oddly normal. Appearances aside, it felt like an old house converted to a school with live in teachers and students.

So, then the look fell upon Melvin.

A bit put on the spot, Melvin was struggling a bit with all the attention. Sure, he had been scared earlier, but it was a bit easier to know that Mystery Inc was not only there, but seemed mostly comfortable around the monster ladies. Ignoring the fact that in all the stories Scrappy told him about Shaggy and Scooby was having them run from the monsters… and not teaching them. And Velma, the more stoic and confident woman being more cautious here than the time she had been facing down a giant ghostly dinosaur. Putting those facts aside, the gang as still there beside him.

But put in the spotlight, Melvin had to make a decision.

"Um… I guess it's ok where ever we sit… How do you ladies sit with your students?" Wondering if there might have been a normal seating arrangement with the teachers to their students, so that might be a good way to sit them all without having to come up with anything fancy from Melvin off the top of his head.

"Actually, we tend to mix up where we sit, depending on which student might want to sit with what teachers at the time. In case they wanted to ask something about classes or anything else they might want to talk about." Tanis pointed out, having a rather laid back approach to meals. They were still students and teachers, but as long as the students respected the older ladies in class, there was no reason to put any personal distance between them otherwise. They did live with each other after all, in the same house. So as long as a student was behaving and following the rules, there was no reason to encourage a wall between them for no reason. Their old teachers might have been responsible for the laidback mindset, as Shaggy, Scooby and Scrappy hadn't made any distinction for eating when they had taught the girls. And Miss Grimwood, though proper woman, didn't mind as long as they had fine etiquette and manners while eating. Like good refined ghouls.

After Tanis had made her comment, there was a long pause as no one knew where to move themselves to… It didn't take long before Daphne let out a long sigh.

"You guys… I have set enough wedding reception seating arrangements before." Daphne claimed before starting to move. "I got this."

Sliding up behind Sibella, she lightly guided the Head Mistress to one of the two seats sitting at the head of the table. Usually held for the head of the family in traditional table setting, that the redhead figured that Sibella would suit that position. Though the table was wide enough to fit two comfortably on that side, so she then grabbed Fred to place him by the second chair to Sibella's right. Being the leader of the gang, he fit that position best of them all. And since she wasn't using medieval sitting conventions, Daphne placed Melvin to Fred's 'right hand man' position. Not that the young kid was in a way influential according to ancient seating arrangements, but more as a comfort thing for the younger teen. (Normally she might have put herself or Velma into that spot, but felt that Melvin would benefit more being close to Fred.)

Daphne then moved Scrappy to sit next to Melvin as a sort of balance between the teachers and him. Not that she thought that the younger boy wasn't able to handle being there, Daphne was still looking out for him. And putting Scrappy and Fred beside him, seemed the best idea that she could think of. And she figured with the duo in the kitchen would probably sit next to Scrappy, so then maybe only one ghoul was nearby on that side.

With the other side, Daphne was thinking of mixing it up a bit. Curious to talk to both Sibella and Tanis, she figured that was the next set of order. Sitting to Sibella's left, Daphne put herself in the first seat and the option to speak across the corner, or next to her to where she wanted to place Tanis. And with Tanis to one side, Daphne felt that Velma would be comfortable having someone else less familiar on the other side. Seeing clearly how close the two had become in the short amount of time they had spent in the upstairs room, judging from their body language and eye contact. Also, the fact that the two were talking about some subject that interested them both, but at quick listen was far over Daphne's head, was a clear note at how easy the two could communicate.

Plus, Daphne wanted to put Elsa next after Velma, placing her on the other side of her best friend. If the smallest amount of interaction Daphne had with the taller woman was any indication, she had no worries leaving her best friend sandwiched between the two ladies. Since it was almost like the monster versions of them both, or at least from what little she knew of the two women. That left an open seat at the end of their side for someone she didn't know as well, and three on the other side with Melvin and Scrappy. Well, once the seats arrived from somewhere in the school with the two missing teachers.

Daphne wanted to learn more about the two ladies that left, but at the moment she figured this was the most comfortable arrangement with those that had been standing there.

"Does that work for you guys?" Daphne asked, once everyone there was by their seat. Lifting up her hands to gesture around the table, looking over the arrangement with a satisfied nod.

Casting glances around to whom they were sitting next to, the overall response was good. As people moved to sit in their seats, Fred was quick to be the gentleman he was taught to be and moved to pull out Sibella's seat so that she could sit down with ease in her dress. Making sure to aid her in getting comfortable before taking his own seat beside her.

"Thank you, Fred, such a gentleman. And thank you Daphne for this thoughtful layout. I think we all can relax and get to know one another while we wait for the meal to be prepared. I think I speak for my fellow teachers, when I say feel free to ask us anything you would like. About the monster world, or anything else that would be on your minds. We will try to do our best to answer your questions." Sibella hoped this would help smooth over any leftover worries, and make the gang more comfortable in time for the girls to arrive. She had invited them after all, and didn't want to be a bad host for her first reunion.

"How was Shaggy as a teacher?" Daphne asked, wondering how well the lanky man was as an educator. Not that she had a hard time picturing him helping kids, but they were ghouls as well. It clashed with Scooby and Shaggy's usual demeanor. Also, earlier in the car ride, had been mentioned of Tutus. And that was something she would love to see!

"He was really spirited…" Elsa mentioned from down the table, fondly thinking back to when Shaggy, Scooby and Scrappy had been there. "They were always running from one activity to the next!"

"Yeah, he was quite energetic, teaching us various ways of exercise in time for our annual volleyball competition. And Scooby and Scrappy were really talented at Scare-aerobics." Sibella commented, having attended Winnies classes that she had modeled off the time the guys had been there. And keeping up the tradition of healthy minds and bodies like Ms. Grimwood had in the past.

Velma's eyebrows rose at the idea of 'scare-aerobics', especially with her commenting that the scaredy cat Scooby was very good at them. Though maybe it had to do more with running away from things, then other types of exercise. Because Shaggy and Scooby were certainly A+ when it came to flat out running away from things that scared them.

"We even used to start the day with a morning dip in the moat, doing two or so laps for a good full body workout." Tanis mentioned, hoping that they could do that again with their beloved teachers, for nostalgia's sake.

"Did someone mention the moat?" Shaggy questioned as he came out with a few platters in his hands. Balancing the food with skill and grace, something that mainly came out when it came to making sure food didn't go to waste rather than his posture. "Like' What did we miss?"

"Nothing much Shaggy, we were just talking about how fang-tastic of a coach you were when you last were here." Sibella informed the man as he placed down some starting dishes. It didn't take much for him to whip up from Soul Slaw from the pantry and fridge. Most likely taken from their garden out of the back. A bit of an acquired taste, but it wasn't too bad.

"Well, you guys were great students. It wasn't hard to teach you guys." Shaggy said with a nod, after dropping off the bit of food, he headed back in the kitchen to continue on the meal. Not going to leave them with such a small amount of food, he returned to Scooby's side to work more on the dishes he had in mind.

"How are the girls this year?" Scrappy wondered, leaning over towards the food to grab himself a bit of the slaw to put it on his own plate. Munching a bit as he waited for others to serve themselves and then get back to his question.

"Girls are good..." Elsa mentioned simply, using her long arms to help serve the ladies on her side of the table. Passing a plate to Daphne, Tanis and Velma before getting her own. Only enjoying her plate when the rest of the table dug in. Enjoying the small gasps of screams that came from each bite of the soul slaw.

Velma and Daphne stared at bit at the offered plates, not exactly sure what to expect at the look of the dish. It wasn't like any other coleslaw they had before. And certainly, not having one this... green before. And the small sounds coming out of the places where they stuck their fork was a bit unnerving.

"Is it not to your liking?" Sibella wondered, watching the ladies poke at their food. While she frowned upon out rightly playing with your food... unless it was playing back. She hoped the women were able to eat it. After all, they had gathered it in their patch of nearby swamp where the crab cabbage grew. And Shaggy had managed to cook it just right that there were air bubbles that got trapped, giving the slaw its signature ghastly gasp rattle.

"It's not that..."Velma spoke, giving her food another poke, arching an eye at the sound. "Well, it's something new to try from Shaggy. And well..." She looked over at Fred and Daphne for some help.

"What Velma means to say, is that in the past Shaggy and Scooby had offered us things that aren't familiar to us and the results could be anywhere on the map, taste wise. So, we are a bit cautious." Fred tried to offer his reason to the teachers. His stomach still hadn't forgiven him for giving in and trying one of Shaggy's experimental dishes. Sauerkraut salsa had sounded so good at the time... But far too many peppers for Fred's liking.

"Oh, pish posh Fred. This stuff is good!" Scrappy said between bites, working on loading up a second plate. Making sure that Melvin got a good helping of slaw as well.

Casting a nervous glance to the others, Daphne finally gave it a try. Flinching a bit when she bit down and the air pocket broke under her teeth. But the juices were actually rather interesting. Sensing the bitterness of the crab cabbage with a bit of pepper, carrot...

"Is that Apple?" Daphne asked aloud, curious with the taste that hit her tongue. But it wasn't just any apple, it had a sourness to it.

"Rep! Rabby rapples!"

"Like what Scoob said, Crabby Apples. They grow nearby, we used to nab some on a morning runs." Shaggy commented, bringing in a huge plate of steaming hot dogs. They were piled high, and looked delicious. At least it was something that both groups were familiar with, and enjoyed fully.

"Hey Phanty, looks like we got here just in time!" Winnie spoke up from the dining room entrance way, with a chair over her shoulder. Her companion and fellow teacher nodded, floating in the air with her own chair in hand. She technically would have been there so much faster, but she had trouble concentrating on objects in her hands to make they as transparent as she was, and couldn't get the chair through the floor so she had to float it around the long way.

"Like' Great timing Winnie, Phanty. Come on and sit down. It's time to eat!"
