Shocked, the whole room rushed to the edge of the window sill. Bustling together to look and see what happened to Shaggy and Winnie. Pressing shoulder to shoulder, trying to get eyes on duo and see if they would need any help. Trying to make sure they were ok, and if not were going to be able to get to them to offer help.

"Oh my goodness..."

"Why you!"

"Oh, good."

"Ahahaha..."

"... I'm going to kill him." Came the various responses from the mass at the window.

Here, they were all worried about what happened to them. Only to find the pair at the bottom of the school, bobbing in the moat and grinning up at them all. Treading water, and snickering at them all worried about the two of them. High fiving each other for a plan well executed, and a perfect landing.

"Last one 'it' and down here is Biskit food!" Shaggy called up from the water, splashing the area around him to show that it was good and inviting. Encouraging them to get on with the exercise, and join them down there in the moat water.

"So that was the eye twinkle... Shaggy had planned to jump out the window the whole time." Fred commented, shaking his head at the idea. Only Shaggy would propose a game of tag, then purposely toss himself out of the window. And Winnie went with the idea willingly... Such a bad coach influencing the next generation of athletic trainers.

But it certainly got their blood pumping in the morning!

With Shaggy and Winnie safe, the group let up from the window in relief. Slowly spreading out around the sill and making small distance from each other. Mainly so they weren't on top of one another, giving each other room to breathe in relief. A few chuckles and sighs were uttered as they realized everything was ok.

But then there was a slow, and creeping silence. Getting past the rush for concern, to the last thing Shaggy had said before he fled from the room and jumped for it.

"..."

Daphne was 'it'!

"Oh dear."

Muttering those words, Velma was the first to accept the new threat in the room. Knowing her best friend all too well, and once Shaggy was safe... and now out of harm's way (and her reach), Daphne would have no problem accepting the responsibility she was given. Especially after the lovely girl's night that they had with the Ghoul teachers, easing up her hesitation around them. Allowing her to take seriously what Shaggy had left for her.

Velma knew the woman very well. Her posture, with her back to the window and arms spread leaning against the framework... Eyes obstructed behind a curtain of red mane, hid the glint of evil that the brunette knew would be there. And thus, Velma was the first to move in response!

"Daphne's it! Scatter! Run for your lives!"

"Oh no..." Fred muttered, finally catching up to Velma's thought process and realizing the danger they were in. Turning on a heel, he tossed an arm around Melvin to grab him and considered Daphne a monster worth running away from and poured on the dash to get away as fast as possible. Hauling Melvin off his feet and with the older man. Crossing the room quickly to get out of range, but there was only so much ballet room to get away from. His only saving grace was the fact that the other 'girls' didn't know Daphne as well as he and Velma did.

"Rahooo!" Howled Scrappy, as he realized it as well and trotted himself out of the way. Barking eagerly and wiggling his butt and tail with the idea of a game of tag. Not knowing when to back down for his own safety, the Dane issued a challenge.

"Come and get me Daphne! I dare ya!"

"..."

With a stylish hair swish to the side, a devilish grin peeked from behind her flowing locks. Tilting her chest forward, she pushed off the sill and made a targeted swipe at the nearby Sibella. Only needing a few steps to close the gap between her and the head mistress. But as Daphne's hand aimed to make contact with the vampire woman, she dodged in the most creative way possible... She went batty.

"Hey, no fair!"

Daphne snorted, trying to jump at the screeching, fluttering purple bat above her head. Shifting Daphne from devilish, to pouty as her first victim avoided her so cleanly. Only taking a second to realize her target had just transformed out of reach. But Sibella was smart and avoided the desperate attempts to catch her. Not going to get caught that easily. Pumping the air under her wings, she made a loop above the grumpy chosen one and then aimed out of the now unprotected window.

Twisting around, Sibella transformed back into her teacher form and then plummeted into the awaiting moat below. Becoming safe from Daphne ire, waving to the others for a moment before gravity kicked in and she disappeared from view. Adding to the safe people in the moat. Laughter and another splash echoed from down below.

"Oh no you don't!" Daphne muttered as she moved to cut off Phanty's movement towards the window as well. Fred watched from across the room as the woman tried to catch the phantasm... But ghost-like people, had an advantage that Daphne forgot about as well. Smacking her straight into the wall as Phanty phased through the solid boundary to get away from 'she who was it'. Apologizing for her dodge, Phanty felt bad but took advantage of her own people's skill to avoid being tagged. Circling the air outside the side of the school for a bit, before un-hovering and making another splash into the awaiting water.

"Phew. Well... That eliminates the tougher people to be sure." Daphne said with a huff, pushing a strand of hair out of her face in her exertion and looked over the rest of the room. "Shaggy and the no doubt fast werewolf Winnie are in the water already. And now the ghost Phantasma and Sibella the vampire joined them... Leaving you... all... left."

"Sure, don't sound like a creepy, crazy person at all... Thanks Daph." Amused at how invested Daphne was getting into the silly game of tag, Fred chuckled from his safe-er position across the ballet room. Having had let go of Melvin, placing the teen on his own shaky feet. Though if he had too, Fred might have to abandon the youth to his own luck, if Daphne decided to start off their way. But it seemed her attention was on another group. Saving the moral dilemma of having to ditch Melvin to the wrath of Daphne to save his own hide.

"Nyah Nyah, can't catch me in a million years Daph...IIIPE!"

Not knowing when it would be safer to keep his brown muzzle shut, Scrappy danced himself in range of Daphne as a challenge. Taunting her before realizing it worked and Daphne made a targeted run at him. Clattering of blunt claws hit the wood, digging in a tiny bit to get more traction against the quickly gaining woman after the dog. And while Scrappy was a bundle of endless energy... He had been away from the constant need to run away that a mystery provided Daphne and the others with. So, he was not fairing as well as he probably would have liked had he kept up with their adventures with them.

But as she drew close to the Dane, Daphne changed course and went for a slower target. Noticing how the taller woman walked, and how little she used her knees... Daphne made a sudden switch and moved to go after Elsa. Tagging the Franken-woman on the arm, Daphne did a roll to get out of the range of those long grabbers! Managing to escape by a hair's breath away from Elsa's grasp. Reddish mane whipping just inches from Elsa's finger tips.

Running to the window, Daphne climbed up on the sill and gave a look behind her and the new person 'it' and considered her options. But it would be safer to join everyone else down below. And Shaggy did make it seem like the way to go, was out the window and into the moat. But she wasn't totally prepared mentally to get herself soaked first thing in the morning. What about her wet hair, make-up and outfit once they got out? How long would it take to get dry, and the humidity... ugh!

"... uhhhhhhh, my hair. I'll get you for this Shaggy." Daphne grumbled and then took the plunge. Grasping her nose and closing her eyes as she fell the few floors into the awaiting water before. Joining the others already down there with a splash.

And then there was six. Fred, Melvin, Tanis, Velma, Scrappy and Elsa being 'it' now.

With less people in the area, the room went from feeling big to very very small once Elsa was it. She was position about the middle of the room and her long reach made it a bit scary to try to dodge around her. Daphne did show that she wasn't the nimblest of taggers, but her long arms and legs made it easy for the woman to cross the space quickly and possibly get someone.

"What do we do, Fred?" Melvin wondered, looking up at the nearby, older man. Fred wasn't sure what to say. Not that he minded heights or anything, but from the time Daphne jumped to the splash at the end... it seemed like it was a bit of a way down. So, he wasn't exactly 'jumping' to toss himself out the window like the rest. But, his options were dwindling.

Opposite to Melvin and Fred, Velma had placed herself. And once Elsa was tagged, Tanis who had been by her side... Had moved further away to play the game properly and avoid getting tagged, even if it was from her best friend. But she knew more than the gang, as how mobile Elsa could be once motivated. So, she was on her toes and ready to react.

The thing was, Elsa was surprisingly mobile. Just because her family was known to walk in such a way, with knees locked, she didn't have to walk like that way all the time. Actually, she had to train herself to make sure she kept her knees straight, often forgetting and being reminded to keep it up. Though only two people left in the room had seen her run, jump and other knee bending activities, so the others were at a disadvantage.

But compared to Daphne, who was more devious, Elsa was straight forward in her aims.

"Ok, I am coming to get you now." Elsa said, directing it at Velma.

With an uncharacteristic move in Fred's mind, he watched as Elsa crouched down to then propel herself at Velma at high speeds. Stunning the young woman. Had they not dodged monsters for a living, Velma would have been tagged immediately. Her tumble out of the way wasn't pretty like Daphne's, but it worked. While Elsa was able to dash quickly, her swing to try to tag Velma was still a bit slow to grab the scrambling Velma. But Elsa wasn't giving up. Turning, she doggedly pursued the bespectacled woman. Cutting off her escape options one step at a time. Adjusting each time that Velma dodges out of the way, not realizing that she was being pushed back into a literal corner. One that Velma was having a hard time trying to figure out how to get out of.

Elsa just seemed to know her disadvantages, and used her advantages to draw the over thinking woman into the corner of the room. Elsa only had one thing in her mind, and that was to catch Velma. While Fred knew that sometimes Velma's own brain, was her worst enemy. And while the Brainiac was trying to do five chess moves ahead of Elsa, Elsa was playing a different game entirely. Not that Elsa was dumb or anything like that, but Velma was looking for faints and tricks where there were none. She didn't know the woman enough to realize how straight forward she was. And that was Velma's downfall.

"Hee Hee, I got you."

Placing her large mitts on either side of Velma's shoulders, Elsa plucked the shorter woman into a small hug. Shocking her into a stiff board, not used to randomly hugged but didn't seem totally against it either. Mostly caught off guard in the suddenness. Which made Fred pause, expecting more of a freak out due to not even being twenty-four hours since they gotten here, and already Velma seemed to have warmed enough to Elsa to not petrify from a hug from the Franken-woman. It was a good surprise though.

"You're it." Letting Velma go, Elsa took a step back with a grin. Patting her on the shoulder, Elsa turned to cross the room with her long strides, scooping up Tanis on the way and jumped straight out of the window.

"Well, that was something." Velma shook head and had to chuckle.

She was not used to being the one caught, but it wasn't bad. At least this wasn't a mystery that their lives hung on the fact that they needed to run away from actual criminals. This was a game of tag after all. So, there wasn't that immediate threat that made her reactions sharp enough to properly run away this early in the morning. As visually intimidating as Elsa was; having met the woman and interacted with her in her jammies, it was hard to see her as scary as the 'monsters' they dealt with on a regular basis. Plus, the goofy grin that Elsa had on her face the whole-time tracking Velma down, helped as well.

"Well, some monster hunter you are." Remarked Scrappy toward Velma, "if you let her catch you, you'll never catch me!"

Fred wanted to open his mouth, but before he could speak to shut the mouth of the unthinking Dane, Velma closed the gap between them. Her feet making a blur as she went from against the corner to appearing to the side of the younger dog. Gripping the dog between two hands, she plucked his weight easily off the ground, and placed him over her shoulder.

"You were saying Scrappy?" Velma said smugly, poking a finger into the furry side of the dog. "You are it now."

"..."

With all four paws off the ground, he wiggled a bit before he knew better then to try to get away. Not only could the gang all handle juggling the rest of the gang in their arms, but their grip to make sure they were able to keep the gang from falling was refined over years of chase sequences. And Velma was the best of them at this, so Scrappy alone wasn't going to be able to break her loose from firm grip upon him.

"... No, you're it."

Taking his paw, he bent his toe to thrust it into her back that he was tossed over. Shaking her head, Fred watched Velma sigh before stooping to his low.

"No, you're it." She poked back, earning a childish poke back. The poke war began, but it didn't stop Velma from wandering closer to where Fred and Melvin stood. The last two in the room. But her intent wasn't to get them involved, so she kept her distance as she poked the Dane back for every time that he poked her.

"As much fun as this was, I wish Shaggy had made more clearer rules." Velma sighed, pushing away the poking tail that Scrappy added in along with both of his front paws poking her. One arm locked around his middle freeing the other to poke his flank and butt and back above the tail in response. "It."

"No, you're it." Scrappy jabbed.

"It." Velma poke.

"Yeah, just tagging Daph and jumping out the window wasn't really the best instructions." Fred said with a chuckle. He had enjoyed himself so far, but was also thankful that he didn't have to go up against the ladies as much as the girls had. Him and Melvin had managed to avoid all of the scuffle. Fred wasn't sure how he would defend against trying to dodge away from Sibella being able to become a bat, or even if he could tag Phanty if she went noncorporeal. Would that even count if his hand had gone through her?

"Is this something you guys do a lot?" Melvin said a bit shaky. He was still getting used to the whole monsters are people too, concept. And playing a random game of tag was certainly a weird way to get to know them. The youth wasn't sure what to make out of it. Though he was happy that he didn't get chased. Not sure how his heart would have taken it.

"Well, the game... No, you are it." Velma poked Scrappy again, interrupting her comment back to Melvin. "The game of tag isn't something that we haven't played. Scooby and Shaggy often like to play, so we do on occasion. But playing with... Still it... Playing this sort of thing on a mystery or vacation isn't common at all."

"So, blame Shaggy for that." Fred added with a grin. Totally blaming his pal for the kooky idea.

"I'm not it... he's it!"

Not paying enough attention to how close Velma had gotten her and her charge to the others, Scrappy used the last poke to him, to save up for the right moment to fling out his tail straight. Barely having enough room to boop Fred on the nose. Tagging him 'it'.

...

The room went silent for a second, all eyes looking to Fred. Before someone's stomach growled, breaking the silence. Fred laughed, for being the culprit.

"Well, I'm kinda hungry. Shall we join the rest of the others? I'll stay 'it', and see if I can poke Shaggy once I'm down there."

"Sounds like a plan." Melvin said casually, not realizing what he said had more meaning then he knew about. Sending the group around him into chuckles. Fred was able to pat the teen on the shoulder when he caught himself.

"Nope, I'm it. But that sounds like a great idea Melvin." Fred shook his almost offending hand and waved it to the window.

"Do we have too?" Melvin hadn't gotten close enough to the window to look out like the others, but the drop sounded scary enough. He really didn't want to go jumping out a window.

"Can't we just walk all the way down?"

Wiggling out of the now loose grip, Scrappy freed himself and trotted to get behind Melvin to head butt his owner towards the window. Pushing the boy till he was at the edge of the sill and looking down at the vertigo inducing gap between them and the water.

"It's loads of fun! We used to do it all the time when I was here last! Don't even have to worry about the two headed shark! Yahoo!" Giving the last push, he shoved Melvin out of the window before hopping right behind him with a whoop. The last bit not missed by the falling teen.

"Shaa-aaaaaark?" The boy yelled in question. To late to do anything about it. Which earned a wide-eyed look between Velma and Fred.

"…You don't think?"

"Well, there wasn't bed bugs, but I wouldn't push things past this place at this point." Velma pointed out, recalling that she had thought she saw something when they arrived, but had pushed it off with the general creepy feeling of the place. But now, she wasn't sure if she didn't actually see something.

"Hm, you're right. Well, ladies first?" Fred offered, gulping slightly at the drop himself. Casting a hand towards the moat. Which earned him a narrowing of her eyes, and pressing her lips together before it twisted to a wiry smile.

"Always a gentleman, I see. Heh, fine. You are it after all. I guess you should be last." She logic-ed herself into thinking. Clutching a fist full of her skirt, she tugged it tight to her body before taking the plunge. Earning a decent hang time, before she made her splash into the waters below. Earning a cheer from the rest of the group in the moat.

"Well, here goes nothing…" Leaning over to look at the moat, he waited to see if Velma was clear… before he screwed up the courage to jump. Pushing off from the sill, he had enough of an arc that he hung in the air for a second before gravity got a strong grip upon him and pulled him down. Stomach rising to his chest, the drop pushed away his hunger the seconds before he splashed into the water. Bubbles rising up all around him, he followed them up to break the surface to a rise of cheering from the rest of the group.

"Whoo!"

"Yahoo!"

"Alright!"

"Nice jump!"

"Alright gang and girls!" Shaggy waved to get everyone's attention. "One lap around the moat, and then Scooby and Matches should be ready with breakfast! Come on!"

Making sure his ascot wasn't lost in the splash, Fred just shrugged and moved to swim along with everyone else. Taking a moment to check that Melvin was ok, but the young guy seemed to be good in the water. Holding his own, and swimming . Fred was glad that they didn't have to go rescue anyone needing help in the moat.

Each with their own swimming styles; from bat strokes, and phantom flippery to literal doggy paddles, the group slowly but steadily made their way around the properly of the school's moat. And since it was a collection of people, Scrappy had to make it a race. Pressing to make his way to where Scooby had shown up, banging a pot with a ladle to call them over for breakfast. Deeming him the finishing line. Though he didn't have much competition, Shaggy was on him. The draw of food, making him a competitor against the young Dane. Each of them for different reasons, pushing against the water to stretch further and reach the shore the fastest. And Winny was close behind them both, joining in the rivalry of the other two, taking on the challenge to keep up as the gym teacher of the group.

It was a tie though. As both a paw and hand hit the ground by Scooby at the same time. Scrappy and Shaggy pulled themselves up to the land to shake off, with Winny getting a close second coming up to join them. Shaggy a long time ago had mastered the doggy fur shake off. Though it didn't help against his clothing as much, but there was someone for that, once Shaggy would have to ask Matches for help. But it did make him be soaked, less.

But in all the shaking, the group of Danes, werewolf and Shaggy on the shore didn't notice the group coming up behind them.

"Hey Teach, Am I missing something or did our school just go to the dogs?"
