Hopefully the final chapter to contain two parts.

Rise of the Reaper part 10:The devil's lair

Once we checked our ammo, we departed for the starting point for the strike: an area called the rocketyard. When we had boots on ground, we summoned our sparrows and hauled ass past the enemies outside. Upon entering, our ghosts noticed that fallen and hive were fighting amongst each other; we eliminated them and pressed on. Then, we reached the refinery. Upon eliminating all the enemies, three barriers showed up out of nowhere. I groaned. "Great, barriers," I said, "wonder if it hurts us?" I approached the barrier and proceeded to attempt to go through it; bad choice, as it killed me instantly. "Guardian down," Rev said as Rose quickly revived me. "Don't do that again, you dunce," she said. "Luckily for us, I did some research about this area," Oracle said as she deployed her ghost named Noir to start hacking the security to get past the barriers. "We got enemies incoming!" I shouted as we took up defensive positions to let Noir hack away at the security. "It's amazing!" Noir said, "it's like they have the system wired to a-" A siren wailed as I said, "hack faster dammit!" The next wave included some of the hive that were hiding in the area. Once we eliminated those fuckers, Noir spoke again. "Just so you guys know, there's more Fallen and hive inbound to this location," she said. Inside my helmet, I rolled my eyes. "Big freaking whoop!" I said, reloading my shotgun, "that just means we got more shit to kill!" Upon the death of the last enemy (which happened to be a fallen baron) the last layer of the barrier disappeared. "We can press on now," Noir said, disappearing back into Oracle's helmet. We pressed onwards until we came out to a clearing. "Okay guys," Oracle said, "the only thing separating us from our target is all these fallen and that walker that was just dropped off." Rose and I nodded. "So, how do we deal with that walker?" Rose asked. I gestured towards the legs. "Looks like we gotta aim for the legs to expose the core, then shoot the core. Simple rinse and repeat process, all the while picking up ammo when we need to because we're gonna need it when we face off with the HVT," I said as we split up, with Rose and Oracle taking the left side while I took the right. Once we were in position, we began shooting the legs of the walker, trying to expose the core. I threw a pulse grenade at the walker, blowing off the armor on one of the legs, causing the walker to collapse and expose the core. "That's our opening!" I shouted, "light it up!" Oracle and I pulled out rocket launchers and sent a rocket from each side, both of them making a direct impact on the core of the walker. Once we repeated the process two more times, the walker collapsed in defeat and blew up. Once the walker went boom, the door that was once closed started to open as fallen came out like a pack of wild animals. We took care of them as we approached the final area, dubbed the devil's lair. "So this is the devil's lair," Rev said as the door to the lair slowly opened and revealed multiple fallen on their knees, worshiping the prime like he was a king. "Okay guys," I said, loading a shell in my shotgun, "let's kill these pricks!" I just started to run up to these fallen and started to punch them into oblivion. Once all the lesser enemies were dealt with, we then focused on sepiks prime. "Remember guys, sepiks prime is like any other servitor," Oracle pointed out, "so he will teleport around the area." Rose and I nodded as Rose took out her machine gun and proceeded to fill sepiks with bullets. I, on the other hand, took out my rocket launcher, but had a hard time getting one of the rockets to nail him. "Hold still, ya floating eyeball!" I shouted as I reloaded my launcher. Rose just laughed. "You should've chose the machine gun, honey," she said as she reloaded her gun. I rolled my eyes again. Finally, we destroyed sepiks prime with a well-timed rocket fired by me. I opened up the comms with commander Zavala. "Sir, target neutralized, I repeat, sepiks prime is no more," I said. "Job well done, Pantheon, report to the tower for debrief," Zavala said as the comms cut out. "Drinks on you after we debrief, Reaper?" Rose asked curiously. I nodded as we all bumped fists before heading back to the tower.

Rise of the Reaper part 11:"Friendly" competition & downtime

Five weeks after fireteam Pantheon has defeated sepiks Prime. One day, Reaper was walking near the hall of the guardians when a man called out to him. "Guardian," he called out, "come over here and have a little chat." Reaper walked over to the man. "May I help you?" He asks. "I am Lord Shaxx," he said, "I run the crucible, which is Guardian versus Guardian combat." I nod in excitement. "Guardians going against one another?" inquires Reaper, "Sounds pretty damn cool." Shaxx nodded. "You bet your arse it's pretty cool," he said, "it's an adrenaline-pumping event." I crossed my arms in amusement. "Let me get in contact with my fireteam and see what they think," I said as I summoned Rev, "Rose, Oracle meet me at the crucible handler I got something to ask you two." They were there within five minutes. "Hey Reaper, what's up?" Asked Rose. "How do you guys feel about guardian on guardian combat?" I asked them. Rose and Oracle thought about it for like a second before answering Reaper with "hell yes!". Reaper nodded and turned back to Shaxx. "Sign us up, sir!" He said. Then, out of the blue, Cayde walks up to us. "Hey Pantheon, you guys gonna do the crucible?" He asks. I turned to the hunter leader. "Yeah, we are," Rose said. Oracle raised her hand. "Yeah, Oracle what's up?" Cayde asked. "Are there any fireteams of three we need to look out for?" She asked him. Cayde thought about it before snapping his finger. "Keep an eye out for team Oblivion," Cayde said, shaking a little, "has a guardian of each class; just be careful." He then walked off towards the tower courtyard. "So Shaxx," I said, intrigued, "who's our first opponent?" Shaxx checked the screen next to him. "It's fireteam Oblivion," he said. Rose looked at me. "Isn't that the fireteam Cayde warned us about?" Rose asked Shaxx. Shaxx turned to her. "They're currently undefeated in 3 on 3 combat," he said. I punched my palm, excited. "Let's give them their first loss, guys," I said. Shaxx nodded. "The map is Twilight Gap," he told us, "there's a combination of close-quarter and long-range areas in the map, so be wise in your engagements." I looked at Oracle, then back at Rose. "Let's kick some ass!" I said. Ten minutes later, we had boots on the ground at twilight gap. Prior to the match starting, we discussed our plan to take it to team Oblivion. "Okay I'll go left," I said, "Rose, you head right and take up a sniping position; Oracle, you head up the middle and blast anyone you come across with your fusion rifle, got it?" Rose and Oracle nodded in agreement. Then, a flare shot up, signaling the start of the match. We split up; I went left, shotgun in hand, looking for a member of team Oblivion to blast. Rose went right, taking out her sniper rifle and went down on one knee and started to look down her scope. Oracle, fusion rifle in hand, ran straight up the middle, trying to find someone to either burn with her grenade or blow away with the energy burst of her weapon. "Have you guys seen any of them yet?" I ask as I turn around the next bend. Rose chimed in. "Nothing yet," she said. "Same here," Oracle said, "this is weird we should've got in contact with them by now." Then, as Rose was looking through her scope she saw the glint from a sniper scope and BARELY got out of the path of the bullet. "They have a sniper!" Rose shouted. I immediately went running towards Rose's position. "Are you hit?" I asked, concerned. "Negative, I repeat negative on being hit!" Rose answered before counter-sniping the sniper on team Oblivion. "Target down!" she said. Then, she saw that one of the sniper's teammates was trying to revive him and Rose quickly sniped them. "I got another one!" she said, "have either one of you guys found the last member?" Oracle scanned her surroundings with her eyes before answering. "No sign of him or her," she said, "how about you Reaper?" A bullet whizzed by my head. "I think he found me!" I shouted before taking out my pulse rifle and returned fire against them and I noticed that the last member of the team that was alive was a hunter AND he was a she. "Do you need backup?" Rose asked. I quickly took cover before replying. "No, I got this because my super is charged," I said as I put my pulse rifle on my back as my fists were filled with arc energy. I then jumped in the air, the female hunter oblivious to my actions until I slammed my fists on the ground behind her, causing her to disappear in a flash of arc energy. "She's toast!" I said as it showed us as the winner; as Rose and Oracle celebrated amongst themselves, I revived the hunter I took out. "Hey, sorry my team and I had to bring your team's undefeated streak to an end," I said, rubbing the back of my helmet in embarrassment. The female hunter just shrugged as she ran over to revive her teammates. Both teams met in the middle of the map. The female hunter from team Oblivion stepped forward. "So, which one of you is the team leader?" she asked. I stepped forward. "I'm leader of fireteam Pantheon," I said, extending my hand, " Name's Reaper, to my left is Rose, Oracle is on my right; what about you guys?" Team Oblivion just stood there, as if they didn't hear me. "That means introduce yourselves," Rose said. Oracle facepalms while shaking her head. "Idiots," she said under her breath. Apparently, the titan on team Oblivion heard her. "What did she say?" He asked. Oracle got in the titan's personal space. "I called you guys idiots for not introducing yourselves when Reaper asked you who you were because maybe he wanted to get to know you?" Oracle said, poking him in his chest. Reaper leaned over to Rose. "Who died and made her fireteam leader?" I whispered. Rose shook her head. "I don't know," she whispered back before Oracle turned around abruptly. "What?" She asked before returning to the right side of Reaper. Reaper shook his head quickly. "Nothing," Reaper said, "we said nothing, right Rose?" Rose was quick to answer. "Yeah, we didn't say anything!" She said, shaking her hands in front of her. Oracle sighed. "Okay, I was just making sure." The leader of fireteam Oblivion coughed a little to get our attention focused on them again. "I'm Jada, to my leftis Cinder, Tulos is to my right," Jada said, shaking Reaper's hand. Jada then glanced down to see Rose holding my hand. "You and Rose close Reaper?" Jada asks. Just noticing that Jada saw me holding Rose's hand, I quickly let go of her hand. "Yeah, what's it to ya?" I ask. "Tulos and I are the same," Jada said, "although Cinder and Tulos are identical twins, the only way to tell them apart is their hair color when our helmets are off and their armor color." Oracle's head shot up when Jada mentioned that Cinder and Tulos were twins. "So, what's it like to be teamed up with twins?" Oracle asks. Jada just laughs. "Why don't we get to know one another over drinks, our treat?" Jada asks. We shrugged. "It's alright with us if it's okay with you guys," I said as we all summoned our ghosts and went back to the tower.
