A/N: Hello, everyone. I know it's been a while, but I finally have more Adventure Time chapters ready. And we shall start with this one.

Adventure Time with Finn, Jake, & Rachel

Chapter 17: Henchman

One night, Finn, Jake, and Rachel were playing in an area filled with bones.

"Hahahaha! Here I go!", FInn laughed.

"Yeah!", Jake cheered, accompanied by Mille and Callie.

Finn then slid down the skeleton.

"Whoo-hoo!", Finn cheered as he slid down.

"Wait for me!", Rachel said before she slid down after him with both her and Finn hitting the ground; then they, Jake, Mille, Callie, and many bones were propelled into the air.

But as it went down, Marceline watched them discreetly.

"Hmm...", Marceline pondered.

Then, Finn, Jake, Rachel, Mille, and Callie landed.

"Awesome!", Finn said before he, Jake, Mille, and Callie laughed.

"You think?", Rachel asked excitedly.

But all of a sudden, a crying noise was heard.

"Huh? Is that... crying?", Rachel asked.

"Someone needs our help!", Finn urged, running to the source of the sound.

Jake spat out a bone and followed.

But when they found Marceline talking to an old man, it turns out his crying was his laughter.

"Huh? Marceline?", Rachel asked in surprise.

"That was a pretty good joke, man. Just like back then.", Marceline grinned.

"If you liked this one, wait until you hear this one!", the old man said.

"Dude! It's Marceline the Vampire Queen!", Finn whispered.

"What?!", Mille and Callie spoke in surprised unison before Jake gasped and jumped back a bit.

"Mar-Mar's here? I never thought I'd see her so soon.", Rachel said.

"So, there were two muffins in the oven. The first muffin says, 'Good grief, it's hot in here!'. And the second muffin says, 'Good grief, a talking muffin!'!", the old man said before laughing, making Marceline laugh as well.

"You still petrified of vampires?", Finn whispered to Jake, whose body was shaking only slightly.

"No... Uh... Yes... At least only half as scared.", Jake replied.

"That was a really good joke, guy!", Marceline said.

"I tend to joke every now and then, even when I go swimming.", the old man said.

Then, Finn, Jake, Rachel, Mille, and Callie ran from behind the bushes.

"Mar-Mar?!", Rachel shouted.

"Rae-Rae!", Marceline greeted.

"It's good to see you!", Rachel grinned, hugging Marceline.

"Good to see you, too, Rae-Rae.", Marceline beamed.

Jake sighed, seeing this friendly exchange as a reminder.

"Well, at least we know when it comes to vampires, Marceline's cool.", Jake said.

"How's your new home coming along?", Finn asked.

"Oh! If it isn't my favorite little goodie-two-shoes Finn! Anyway, the new home's cool.", Marceline grinned.

"That's great.", Finn grinned.

"So, what brings you out here? And who's he?", Rachel asked.

"Oh, just some old diving buddy.", Marceline responded.

"Hey, I may be old, but I'm still spry enough to do this!", the old man spoke, managing to balance himself on his cane.

"Whoa!", Mille and Callie spoke in unison.

"Okay, I'll admit that it's pretty cool, but be careful!", Rachel warned.

"Ah, relax. I've been doing this for who knows how long, and I'm fine.", the old man assured as he hopped around on his cane.

Unfortunately, the tip broke and he fell down. Fortunately, Rachel caught him.

"Oof...!", Rachel grunted.

"Of course, nowadays, sometimes this happens.", the old man said.

"You are pretty active for your age, huh?", Rachel said.

"Speaking of active, would you be interested in doing me a few solids?", Marceline asked.

"How?", Rachel asked.

"Well, you know, an old game of Henchman? For old times' sake?", Marceline asked.

"Henchman?", Finn and Jake asked in unison.

"Oh, that. Well, sometimes I play this game to get Marceline back in good spirits. Other times, it's just whenever. But there's nothing to worry about. Honest. Whatever's done in this game is all in good fun. Sometimes, it was even a benefit for the greater good.", Rachel replied.

"Yeah. You wouldn't believe how many times we've had fun playing that game.", Marceline agreed.

"You mean the fun you had playing that game? Most of the time, I might add.", Rachel retorted coyly.

"Whatever. You know you like me.", Marceline retorted.

"You know? You're right. I do like you. In fact, I'll play that game again. But on one condition. When I take care of your few errands, I've got a challenge you gotta do for me, with me. Deal?", Rachel asked.

"Hmm...", Marceline spoke, thinking it over.

"What kind of challenge is it?", Marceline asked.

"You'll know soon enough.", Rachel responded.

"Deal.", Marceline said before she and Rachel turned to the old man.

"So, uh, it's nice getting to meet you, sir.", Rachel said.

"Why, it's nice to meet you as well, Rachel. Good luck with that contest!', the old man said before bouncing away.

"Whoa. Thank you, sir!", Rachel called.

"What're you doing, Rae-Rae?", Mille asked.

"Eh, it's not the first time I played this game, Mille. I've dealt with this tango, once or twice before.", Rachel assured.

"Hey, guys... BLEH!", Marceline hissed, making a horrific face.

"EEH!", Callie yelped, grabbing onto Finn on reflex before Jake grumbled a bit at Marceline.

"Rrrr... HEY!", Jake glared.

"Yes, Jake?", Marceline asked, then transforming into a werewolf creature. "What would you like to talk about?!"

"AAAH!", Jake yelped again, making Callie giggle a bit.

"Okay, Mar-Mar, can we just get going so you can stop scaring people like that, please?", Rachel asked.

"Hold it. I wanna come, too.", Finn said.

"Why?", Callie asked.

"Because, I wanna see how it goes.", Finn replied.

"You do realize that you'd have to come along as my henchman as well, right?", Marceline asked.

"Wait, what?", Finn asked.

Suddenly, Marceline took him into the air.

"Whoop!", Finn reacted.

"FINN!", Jake, Mille, and Callie shouted.

"Ah, geez...", Rachel sighed, following after Marceline.

Marceline cackled as they flew into the air.

"Hope you have fun with the game! In the meantime, we'll figure something out!", Jake shouted.

Meanwhile, Rachel, Marceline, and Finn were flying through the air.

"You're lucky, Finn. You and Rae-Rae's first job as henchmen is to help me feed.", Marceline responded.

Finn gasped a bit to himself.

"Feed? What does she mean? L-Like, like, oats? Like, sentient beings, or oats?", Finn asked.

"Come on, Finn. You know what she eats.", Rachel giggled a bit.

"Oh, yeah...", Finn realized.

Soon, the trio arrived at a house that had music playing and a person singing.

"Sounds like dinner. Rae-Rae, open the door.", Marceline requested.

"Sure thing, boss. But just take it easy as you feed, okay?", Rachel requested as she walked toward the door.

Inside, the man was still playing. Eberhardt was his name. But then the door was opened and the draft blew the candles out.

"Huh?", Eberhardt puzzled.

"Hi.", Rachel greeted, spooking Eberhardt.

"You two. Hold him down.", Marceline said.

"As long as we can calm him down.", Rachel said as Finn looked somewhat worried.

With that, Marceline, Rachel, and Finn entered and closed the door behind them. Little did they know that Jake, Mille, and Callie appeared from the bushes.

"I wonder how they're doing.", Callie puzzled.

Then, she came to the window.

"Are you two enjoying this, Finn?", Marceline asked.

"Actually, I have mixed feelings about this.", Finn responded.

"Yeah, I've been there.", Rachel assured to Finn before Marceline laughed a bit.

"That's odd. How could Rachel have to deal with something like that and call her a friend?", Callie puzzled.

Marceline laughed for a moment before she noticed Callie through the window. When she did, she waved to her.

"Hey.", Marceline waved.

"Okay, maybe that could explain how she's Rae-Rae's friend.", Callie admitted.

"Please, children! Let me go!", Eberhardt requested.

"It's okay. She's not gonna kill you. Though, it's fair to warn you, it might sting.", Rachel warned.

"Dinner is served!", Marceline spoke before hissing.

Eberhardt was admittedly on edge from the hissing. Of course, Marceline bit Eberhardt in the red tie, making him scream in surprise.

"Yeesh...!", Finn said as Rachel inhaled sharply.

When Marceline finished, Eberhardt's once-crimson bow tie has now been drained snow white.

"Mmm. That red bow tie was delicious!", Marceline grinned.

"Oh, my! A white tie! Thank you so much! This is so beautiful!", Eberhardt thanked before happily passing out.

"Huh. I guess that's one way to pass out.", Finn said.

"You took the words right out of my mouth, Finn.", Rachel said.

Later, the trio were flying through the air again.

"We've got plenty more errands to do!", Marceline laughed.

"Rae-Rae, you said that you've played that game once before, right?", Finn asked.

"Yeah. And more than that, I invented it.", Rachel responded.

"Whaaaat?", Finn asked.

"I'll explain later.", Rachel said.

"Hey, guys. You thinkin' about how that guy's bow tie sorta looked like a bra?", Marceline asked, stunning both "henchmen".

"Huh? No!", the duo shouted.

"Well, at least I wasn't until you mentioned it out loud... Actually, I think it looked more like a mix of that and a butterfly.", Rachel said with a bit of a blush.

The three then arrived at a graveyard.

"Uh, why are we at a graveyard?", Rachel asked.

"I know this place seems a little dead, but don't worry. It'll soon be undead.", Marceline responded. "Corpses buried in mud that's black, from death I command you to come back!"

In no time, the dead bodies, or rather, skeletons, rose out of the ground.

"Eeehhh... What's happening? Eh...", the skeletons moaned as they rose one after another.

"Heh. They look kinda sleepy.", Rachel giggled a bit.

"It usually takes a while. But they'll be more alert when they wake up. Anyway..., are you two ready to lead an army of the undead?!", Marceline asked.

"What do you have in mind?", Finn asked.

"Oh, nothing much. Just a wild romp in an entire castle.", Marceline responded.

"Like a party, right?", Rachel asked.

"That's the plan.", Marceline responded.

"Yeah, sure. That sounds good.", Finn responded.

Marceline and Rachel laughed together as Jake, Mille, and Callie appeared in the bushes nearby.

"You know, if Marceline wasn't as chill as Rae-Rae says she is, I'd almost mistake her for placing a vampire spell on them.", Jake said.

"Huh? What's that noise?", Marceline puzzled from hearing some slight rustles in the bush.

But when she turned around, the trio hid back in the bushes, rustling the bushes a bit.

"Huh. Maybe it was just some slight wind.", Marceline said.

Later, the trio, accompanied by the army of the undead, arrived at the Duchy of Nuts where Finn, Rachel, and Marceline were now walking towards the Duke of Nuts' castle with an undead army following behind them.

"Excited to hear the wild screams of an entire castle?", Marceline asked.

"If by that, you mean wild screams of excitement, then yeah.", Rachel grinned.

"Hey, we're gonna run up ahead and scout it out for you!", Finn said before he and Rachel ran up to the door with Finn knocking on the door.

After a knock on the door, Lisby answered.

"Yeeees? Duke and Duchess of Nuts' residence!", Lisby greeted.

"Do you mind if our boss crashes in your castle for the party?", Rachel asked.

"Oh! Well, that certainly works for us!", Lisby said.

"Lisby! Who's at the door?", the Duke of Nuts asked.

"Someone who wishes to crash in the nut castle for the party!", Lisby responded.

"Oh. Just in time for my second son's first birthday party! How wonderful!", the Duke of Nuts grinned as the army began to approach.

"Oh, it's THAT kind of party.", Finn and Rachel realized before the army arrived.

As it did, Marceline laughed as she flew into the palace.

"I wrote this next song about a fisherman.", Marceline said.

Then, she floated around as she sang the Fisherman Song.

You look so cute sittin' in your boat,

I wanna suck out your eyeballs

and rip out your throat.

I wanna suck out your eyeballs

and rip out your throat.

"Yeah, the music is great and all, but I'm not sure about the lyrics.", Rachel noted.

"You're late, Marceline! My son has been dying to hear your undead music!", Duke of Nuts grinned.

"Oh, I forgot! Marceline is playing tonight!", Lisby grinned.

"Hm. You know what? I'm gonna play, too.", Rachel said, stepping up onto the stage.

"I once came up with this song back when I was once filthy and hungry. Mar-Mar? Bass me.", Rachel grinned.

"You got it, girl.", Marceline said, playing her bass.

I know I should take a shower 'cause I'm smelly,

But instead I'm gonna go out a buy a doughnut with jelly,

Baby, said I'm gonna go out and buy a doughnut,

A doughnut with jelly!

Everyone started partying as Rachel sang.

"Whoo!", Lisby grinned.

"Alright! Whoo-hoo! Hahahaha!", Finn laughed.

Then, Marceline and Rachel walked over to Finn.

"Hey, castle-crasher!", Marceline said.

"Hey, Marceline! Hey, Rae-Rae!", Finn grinned.

"You like cute things, right?", Marceline asked.

"Uh, yeah, sure. Why?", Finn asked.

"Then you might love this. The cutest dimple plant ever!", Marceline grinned, unveiling said plant.

"Whoa-ho-ho! That's cool!", Finn spoke in awe.

"Here, eat some of its fruit. See what happens.", Rachel stated, plucking out one of its fruit.

"Okay.", Finn agreed.

Finn then ate the fruit and gained a dimple as a result.

"Hahaha! A dimple!", Finn grinned.

"Yep. But there's only one small problem. At midnight, these plants tend to transform into giant, carnivorous monsters.", Rachel explained.

"What?", Finn asked.

"So, yeah, the way things might turn out, I'm afraid we're gonna have to kill that thing, Finn.", Rachel explained as she carried the plant and brought it outside.

"Dang...", Finn said.

Suddenly, the clock chimed midnight.

"Oh, no.", the trio spoke before the plant, as predicted, turned into a monster.

"First-timers usually have trouble being willing to hack it to pieces when it was still adorable...", Marceline stated.

The monster then attacked Finn, but he evaded the attack. He rolled and jumped towards the dimple plant monster to cut one of its limbs. When he did, it sprayed juice which Finn accidentally caught in his mouth. It made him gain dozens of dimples before he spat the juice out.

"Sick!", Finn commented before the monster grabbed Finn.

"Finn!", Rachel shouted.

"Oh, boy...", Marceline spoke before she flew up.

"Let him go!", Rachel shouted, using her crystal sword to cut off one of its limbs before it could eat Finn.

In the meantime, Marceline simply detached one of its limbs to kill the monster.

"See? Greater good. You okay, though, Finn?", Rachel asked.

"Yeah... But I am pooped...!", Finn panted.

"Not bad... for a couple of henchmen.", Marceline said.

"Hm.", Finn and Rachel smiled in unison.

The next morning, Finn, Rachel, and Marceline are now in a strawberry patch, the sun slowly rising as the former two stirred awake and yawned.

"Well, that was a good nap.", Finn sighed.

"Yeah. And just in time for sunrise.", Rachel said as Marceline opened her umbrella and hung it over her head to keep from getting burned.

"So, how'd you come up with this game, anyway?", Finn asked.

Rachel sighed a bit sadly.

"Well..., it's not exactly easy to revisit. You know how Marceline became a vampire?", Rachel asked.

"No, why?", Finn asked.

"Well..., it was back when we only had one more vampire to deal with.", Rachel said before it then showed her and Marceline together.

They were going up against a large, muscular man with animalistic features, including a face resembling a lion's, scaled, reptilian hands, birdlike feet and a forked tongue like a snake, not to mention a white suit, a wine-red cape and a crown resembling the branches of a tree or bush.

"You can stop this now, Marceline, it's not too late. You've got power now. I see it. But you haven't paid a price. It's making you crazy. Marceline, there's no one left but me. Would you wipe out an entire species?", the man spoke.

"For the last time, yes! That is literally my entire plan!", Marceline shouted.

"We won't let you drain another drop of blood from another innocent victim, Vampire King!", Rachel added.

"So be it, then.", Vampire King responded.

Marceline then tossed out a broken part of her guitar.

"Uh, duh.", Marceline smirked before she and Rachel flew up toward him as he lunged toward them.

"I gave you a chance, Marcel...!", Vampire King began.

"Blah, blah, blah, blah!", Marceline interrupted.

With that, both Marceline and Vampire King stopped each other's hands and began to fall down while Rachel froze up with a gasp from seeing the Vampire King up close.

"Mar-Mar!", Rachel shouted as the two fell.

With that, Marceline landed on her back with the Vampire King hunched over her, especially hovering over the stake.

"You know, Marceline, there's still another way.", Vampire King smirked.

"Give it a rest already!", Marceline only shouted.

"No. Another 'nother way. To save my people.", the Vampire King spoke before opening his mouth as his two front fangs enlongated nearly touching the bottom of his mouth.

"Wait!", Marceline said, reacting in worry.

Rachel gasped in worry before looking toward her stake.

"Don't you touch her!", Rachel shouted before descending downwards toward him.

Meanwhile, the Vampire King moved in toward her neck, even at the risk of getting staked himself.

"The good news was, I was able to help Marceline stake the Vampire King.", Rachel narrated as she descended swiftly toward him, yelling and closing her eyes so as to not get frightened by the sight of him.

"Noooo!", Marceline shouted as at the same time she and Rachel successfully staked the Vampire King, unfortunately, the Vampire King succeeded in biting Marceline's neck.

"But the bad news was, I wasn't able to stop him from turning her before he got staked.", Rachel added as Marceline screamed, her eyes turning red before the Vampire King exploded in a flash of light, going back to the present.

"The next few weeks after that were rough and... I thought for sure that things would never be the same again... If I hadn't frozen up at the Vampire King's presence, i-if I hadn't been so scared, things might've been different... But still, one day, I came up with the game to help cheer her up. And along the way, we've discovered a few new things that helped her get used to her vampirism up to now. We even started playing the game at times when we could, ever since.", Rachel added.

"Whoa... That sounds messed up, Rae-Rae.", Finn said.

"Yeah... But on the bright side, we've learned a few more things about vampires that people never knew before. I mean, I'm glad things turned out fine from here, but... I just wish I could've done more back then. You know?", Rachel asked.

"Hmm...", Finn spoke.

Then, Marceline went over to Rachel.

"All right, girl, what's your challenge?", Marceline asked.

"My challenge?", Rachel puzzled before remembering something.

"Oh, that's right! I dare you to... drink as much red as you can from those strawberries in the patch. You can stop at any time you want, though. I don't want you getting burned up by the sun.", Rachel responded.

"Hm... Okay. I'll do that, IF you join me and eat as many strawberries as you can with me.", Marceline grinned.

"Okay. As if I wouldn't do that anyway.", Rachel said.

Moments later, Rachel and Marceline were getting ready to race with Rachel augmenting her crown a little bit.

"Okay. Everyone ready to race and eat the strawberries at this patch?", Finn asked.

"Ready.", Rachel and Marceline said in unison.

"Okay. Ready..., set... go!", Finn signaled.

Then, both girls dashed across the patch. They even both picked up the strawberries, eating them in their own way. But while Rachel ate the strawberries as she went along, packing weight and growing bigger as well, Marceline was draining the red off every strawberry she could pick, slowly gaining some weight of her own as well. The contest only stopped when Marceline noticed how big she was getting under the umbrella's shadow. Rachel took notice of this and stopped eating.

"Huh. On pause already, huh?", Rachel said to herself.

Then, she turned to Marceline.

"So, what do you think, Mar-Mar?", Rachel asked.

But when Marceline turned, she was stunned to see Rachel all big and chunky.

"Whoa, check you out, Rae-Rae! You're so bigguns!", Marceline reacted.

"Heh. Glad you noticed. And you're well on your way yourself.", Rachel smirked.

"Really?", Marceline puzzled.

Then, she looked down to notice how big she's growing as well, although, at present, fortunately, not too big for all her body to fit under the shadow of her umbrella.

"Whoa... You're right...!", Marceline gasped.

Then, she felt her big belly. A moment after, she began to snicker, as if ready to burst into laughter.

"I can't believe how big I'm getting.", Marceline giggled.

"Well, you're big, all right, but right now, your size is nothing compared to mine. Still, you could finish the rest of these strawberries later at the treehouse, if you want.", Rachel offered.

Marceline thought it over before her belly grumbled and shook slightly.

"Definitely.", Marceline responded.

"Deal. There's even a club I wanted to show you later tonight in case you're interested.", Rachel said.

"You have a club?", Marceline asked.

"Only recently, yeah. But for now...", Rachel spoke before using her tiara to change her shape back to normal and then do the same for Marceline, turning her back to normal weight as well.

"Whoa...! I'm back to normal. How'd you do that?", Marceline asked.

"Well, I may've had some practice with my tiara recently.", Rachel replied as Jake, Callie, and Mille emerged from the bushes in Strawberry suits.

"So, you ready to go strangle some pixies?", Marceline asked.

"You mean those elderly-destroying pixies from Mount Cragdor? They just never learn, do they?", Rachel asked in slight annoyance.

"Yeah, man! I mean, wo-man.", Finn agreed.

"So, that's how Marceline became a vampire...!", Callie said in shock.

"I know. I can't believe it, either... Still, it looks like they're gonna be okay.", Mille grinned.

"Freakin' awesome, man. Ooh! I mean wo-man.", Jake responded.

A/N: Well, looks like Marceline's next up in joining the club. And now, for our next chapter.
