A/N: And finally, we get to this episode. This time, it won't be simply Finn trying to get Bubblegum to go to the movies with him; it'll be a matter of the relationship between her and Marceline. And there will be a couple Easter eggs of a certain franchise we all know and love, one of which will be addressed as a relic from the past before the great mushroom war, at that. Enjoy. :)

Chapter 19: Go With Me
One day, Finn, Jake, Mille, Callie, and Rachel were having a picnic and watching the sunset.
"Hey, man, it's Couples Only Movie Night tonight. Who are you bringin'?", Jake asked.
"I don't know. Who are you bringin'?", Finn replied.
"I'm bringing my girlfriend, dude.", Jake replied.
"Oh.", Finn said before a duck walked up to them and Finn picked it up.
"I'll take this duck!", Finn said, making Rachel laugh.
"It's couples' night, Finn! You gotta bring someone you can actually smooch.", Mille said.
"Man, I don't want to be smooched!", Finn groaned.
"Well, you don't have to smooch. You just have to bring someone you can smooch.", Callie assured.
"Yeah, it's, like, the rules.", Jake agreed.
"Lame.", Finn groaned before he attempted to kiss the duck.
But it flew away.
"Ah! Well, I'll take this blanket!", Finn said before kissing the blanket, earning Rachel's giggle.
"Put the blanket down.", Jake said.
"I can't tell if you're doing this on purpose...! Ahem! Anyway, have a seat. I've got some things to explain to you about couples.", Rachel said.
Later that day, which had become night by now, the group was now back at the treehouse. At this point, Finn was looking for someone to call.
"So, you all square?", Rachel asked.
"Yeah, yeah.", Finn responded, turning to Rachel. "So, would you go to Couples Movie Night with me?"
Rachel blushed at this.
"You want... me to come with you?", Rachel asked.
"Yeah. Of course, I do.", Finn responded.
"Sure. I'll go.", Rachel responded.
"That's great!", Finn grinned.
"That's great, man. I'm calling Marceline.", Jake said, taking out his cell phone.
"What?", Finn asked.
"Wow. Never thought you'd actually call her.", Rachel said in surprise.
"Look, man, I've been learning a lot about vampires lately. I realized my fear was based on ignorance!", Jake explained as he made the call.
"Would that have anything to do with the fact that we saw her, Rae-Rae, and Finn hang out around Ooo?", Callie asked as Marceline raised her arm, a creature going up to her hand only to then get crushed and turned into a phone before answering it as it showed Jake on the left and Marceline on the right.
"Hardy-har. But yeah. It might.", Jake responded.
"Speak.", Marceline said.
"Hey, hey, Marceline. Got a tip for you, Babe. Tonight's Couples' Movie Night, and considering the recent history we saw with you and her, if you want, maybe we could help you go to the movies with Princess Bubblegum.", Jake said as Marceline snuck out from a pile of dirty clothes behind Jake and began to approach him from behind.
"Marceline? Come in. Hello?", Jake asked before Marceline hissed loudly behind him, making Jake scream loudly.
"Hehe.", Finn giggled at this.
"So, you wanna go there with Bonnie?", Rachel asked.
"Yeah, I'll go. It'll be funny.", Marceline replied.
Later, at the Candy Kingdom...
"Okay, so here's the plan.", Jake began, pointing at Rachel and then Marceline as he explained. "You start saying things and you start laughing waaay loud. And then Bubblegum..."
Through the window above them, Princess Bubblegum was seen whistling.
"...will get impressed by you. Which will awaken her Mar-Mar love! You start us off.", Jake said, pointing to Marceline first and then Rachel.
"Okay. Uh..., how about a joke?", Marceline asked.
"Yeah. Lay it out, Marcy.", Rachel grinned.
"Okay! Great. So..., there was a vampire who came to the blood drive to donate. Wanna know what he does?", Marceline asked.
"What?", Rachel asked.
"Nothing! But the doctor helped himself to the sugar cookies like a vampire to blood!", Marceline shouted before she and Rachel both burst out laughing.
With that, Princess Bubblegum appeared at the window and cleared her throat.
"Greetings, Finn, Jake, Mille, Callie, Rachel.", Bonnie greeted. Then, she became slightly flustered as she looked at Marceline.
"Hey, Marceline...", Bonnie blushed.
"Hello, Bonnibel.", Marceline waved, amused.
"Yeah... So, what's so funny, Rae-Rae?", Bonnie asked.
"Well, Marceline just told a funny joke. It was hilarious!", Rachel snickered in reply.
"I'm sure it was, but could you keep it down out there? I'm trying to whistle practice!", Bonnie said before walking away, whistling.
"That was great! Now, we begin Phase 2! It's so powerful!", Jake said.
"Hold that thought.", Rachel said.
Then, she proceeded to cast an ice spell, making an ice guitar.
"There we go. Here, Finn.", Rachel said, offering it to him.
"Aw. Thanks.", Finn grinned.
Now, in the hallway outside of Princess Bubblegum's bedroom, Finn held his ice guitar and Jake shaped-changed into a chair while Marceline floated down from the ceiling in time to see Bonnie whistling whistling and walking into the hallway.
"Oh, hey, guys! Did'ya ever find some—Whoa! What are you holding?", Bonnie asked.
"Oh... this is my... icy guitar.", Finn replied.
"And we have a song for you.", Rachel said.
With Rachel's wink to him, Finn then began playing his guitar as he sang as did Rachel.
Finn: Oh, Bubblegum,
I think you're rad.
And Marceline does, too,
And that makes her glad.
'Cause she thinks you're great,
And she's even first-rate,
You two should go on a date.
Rachel: 'Cause it feels like there's a fire that's overdue,
Like there's a fire inside your heart.
It's like this fire is gonna consume you,
If you keep waiting for this thing to start.
Finn/Rachel: Ohh, it feels like you're all warmed up inside,
It's like you're all warmed up inside,
It's like you're all warmed up insi-i-i-i-i-i-ide.
Needless to say, both Bonnie and Marceline blushed with each other profusely to the point of giggling slightly with one another.
"I WANNA GO OUTSIDE NOW!", Marceline said quickly with a blush.
"Me, too!", Bonnie added.
"Ooooohohohohohoho, okay. I see where you guys're going with this. Good luck.", Jake said before stretching away.
Later, Rachel was now carrying Finn as Marceline carried Bonnie, both in midair.
"So, what do you wanna do?", Rachel asked.
"Mmm, maybe some wolf wrangling.", Marceline said.
"Okay, hold up. You may like to do something like that. But I'm not sure PB would.", Rachel said.
"Eh, I guess I'll give it a go.", Bonnie said, surprising the trio.
"Really?", Finn asked.
"But why?", Rachel asked.
"I could use some practice.", Bonnie said.
"Practice for what?", Marceline asked.
Bonnie seemed a bit nervous to answer until she saw a pack of wolves above.
"Oh, look! We're here!", Bonnie said, pointing to them.
"Bonnie, we need to have a talk when we get back.", Marceline said.
Nevertheless, the four descended and started to run with them. But along the way, Marceline stopped and growled at Bonnie until she began to growl back and run on all fours. Seeing this, Finn and Rachel looked towards each other, shrugged and then both acted like fierce wolves playing with each other. Finn, Rachel, Bonnie, and Marceline all began to run with the wolves, foam even coming out of Finn's mouth, and all howled at the moon with them. Once Marceline bit the back of the wolf in front of her, it was a signal for Bonnie, Finn, and Rachel to do the same, though one of the wolves the four attacked wound up having his shirt torn clean off with Finn striking back in retaliation. Soon, all four began riding on the back of four wolves.
"Onward, wolves! To Marceline's house!", Bonnie said.
Eventually, the four arrived at said house before they all got off.
"Thank you for your transportation, wolves. I'll call for you again when I need you. Until then, go back to the grasslands from whence you came!", Bonnie said before the four fled away.
"Wow, Bonnie. I never knew you had that in you. What's with the dominance?", Marceline asked.
"Well, why don't we all come inside and I'll tell you?", Bonnie suggested.
"Okay, Bonnie.", Marceline grinned.
So, Finn, Rachel, Bonnie, and Marceline all went inside.
"Okay, Bonnie, what's going on?", Marceline asked.
"Oh, nothing much. Just thought we should have an exciting little rematch between big..., fat..., blobs!", Bonnie shouted as she swelled and grew larger, tearing off her dress to reveal her pink sumo mashwai and similarly pink bikini top.
"Whaaaaaat...?!", Finn and Rachel said in surprise.
"Wait, how long have you been wearing those?", Marceline asked.
"Dude, I wear them all the time. Ever since our first night together in years.", Bonnie responded, making Bonnie blush.
"Come on. I know you want the opportunity to one-up me.", Bonnie smirked.
"Oh, is that what this is about? I accept.", Marceline said.
"Well, guess I better help even the odds.", Rachel said, going over to the vampire queen.
The moment she touched her head and closed her eyes, the tiara glowed and caused Marceline to grow and swell to the same size as Bonnie, her clothes ripping off to show her gray mawashi and bikini top.
"Hah. Looks like we're even.", Marceline said.
She smirked as she looked toward Finn, as did Bubblegum. He was nervous. He never quite saw Bubblegum that fired up before, though he could understand Marceline.
"This better be more of a challenge than last time.", Bonnie grinned.
"Are you ready for this, Finn?", Marceline smirked.
"Uh...", Finn began.
"It's okay, Finn. I was there when she and Bonnie used to hang out a long while back. And this? It's just like the good old days with her. Maybe even better.", Rachel responded.
"I have a feeling that Jake might need to know more about that if he was here.", Finn said.
"Well, don't you?", Rachel asked.
"Yes.", Finn responded.
"I'll explain that one later.", Rachel responded.
With that, the two sumos did a traditional stomp and then charged toward one another, clasping hands against each other. For a moment, they grunted, trying to push past each other. For a moment, Marceline seemed to be pushing this time. But after a moment, Bonnie pinned her to the ground back first with her belly with a lean.
"Oh, globdangit, PB. You win again.", Marceline said with a slight groan.
"Whew...! That was fun. I think it was at least a bit more of a challenge that time. You're definitely improving, Mar-Mar.", Bonnie grinned, earning her chuckle.
"Well, you're not too bad yourself.", Marceline grinned.
"Huh. I never thought I'd see that side of her.", Finn said.
"Yeah. It's nice when they get along, huh?", Rachel asked, earning his nod.
"So, uh..., Marcy, do you want to go to the movies with me as a friend?", Bonnie asked.
Marceline blushed before she answered.
"Uh... Of course I'll go with you, Bonnie!"
"You will?", Bonnie asked.
"Yeah, as friends.", Marceline grinned. "But no tongue."
"Hear hear.", Bonnie responded.
"Yep. But before we get going, do you two happen to have more comfy clothes you can wear?", Rachel asked.
"I might have a few outfits, yes.", Marceline replied.
Later, Finn, Rachel, Marceline (now in a red and white sweatshirt), and Bonnie (now in a black sweater) (both of which are now only slightly pudgy, but still in normal weight otherwise) were at Couples Movie Night, sitting on an old truck and watching the intros, laughing excitedly.
"Oh, man! I can't believe I'm finally going to see this movie!", Finn said.
Just then, it cut to black.
"Wait, guys, look! A trailer's starting!", Rachel spoke a bit excitedly.
Sure enough, it did. As it proceeded, white words appeared in a black background, leaving both Rachel and Marceline a bit surprised while both Bonnie and Marceline were confused.
"In 1956...he first appeared on
motion picture screens
across the country.

was instantaneous
and unprecedented.
His acting technique was
revolutionary.
His presence...overwhelming.
He possessed more raw talent

He soon became

Then, it showed a couple of lasers zooming past a giant lizard creature in one shot and then that same creature roaring while surrounded by smoke in a sort of red lighting. Next, it showed a shot of a volcano as a big word zoomed up onto it with a number flashing beneath it, making the logo...
"GODZILLA
1985"
The roar sounded again before it went to the credits for the movie.
"COMING SOON
TO A THEATER NEAR YOU"
Frankly, the 4 were stunned, Finn even more so.
"Say WHAAAAAT! What the hey was that?!", Finn shouted.
"That trailer... I recognize that one!", Rachel said.
"Hold on. You mean that...?", Marceline began.
"Yeah. I do.", Rachel nodded.
"Well, I'm sure it's important to you in some way..., but what exactly is it about that tape that makes it important to you two?", Bonnie asked.
"It's the one that dated back way before the great mushroom war! I can't believe it actually lasted this long!", Rachel said.
"Me neither. Wait. If that tape is the one you're saying it is... then that means the movie is...", Marceline began.
Sure enough, the movie "Love Kaboom" started with a woman and man.
"Oh, mon cher. I guess zese is goodbye.", the woman in the movie said.
Finn was starting to get weirded out by the movie.
"No, not goodbye. Let's say: Farewell!", the man in the movie said. Then, the two kissed as Jake and Lady Rainicorn, as well as Lollipop Girl and Ice Cream Guy, were kissing, and so were two bugs in Ice Cream Guy's head.
Finn saw all of this and threw up over the side of the car before turning to Marceline, who was also grossed out as both Rachel and Bonnie blushed, covering their mouths.
"Couples Night sucks!", Finn commented.
"Oh, I don't know. It was kinda cute. Although, it could've been better.", Bonnie said.
"Yeah. So far, the only best thing that came out of this was seeing that awesome banger of a trailer from the mid-80's.", Rachel agreed.
"Then, we're all in agreement. Marceline, would you do us the honor of getting the plop out of here?", Finn asked.
"There's nothing I'd like more.", Marceline said before pushing Finn off the truck they are sitting on and flying up.
"Okay. Let's get out of here.", Bonnie said.
"Oh, wait. I got something a little fun in mind.", Rachel said.
Then, she created an ice buglehorn.
"Hold on, PB.", Rachel said, grabbing her by the waist before flying off toward the screen as well.
"Nothing can ever tear us apart.", the man in the movie spoke before, contrary to what he said, Finn tore through the screen with Marceline, Rachel, and Bonnie flying in through it before Bonnie peeped out of the hole and giving a loud howling sound.
At the sound of the call, a pack of wolves burst out with her, Marceline, Finn, and Rachel, who blew out the horn with a monstrous-sounding noise coming out of it, reminiscent of the creature from the movie, riding on them.
A/N: Pretty unexpected way to end the chapter, similar as it is, huh? What's even more unexpected is the trailer that played before "Love Kaboom". Speaking of which, trailers tend to play before movies start in movie theaters. And, since I got interested in Godzilla recently, what better trailer to pick as the one to play before the movie than one of "Godzilla 1985"? Anyway, onto the next chapter.
