A/N: And this next episode is a different version of "Betty". And the OC in the episode is voiced by Travis Willingham. Plus, there may be a hint as to what the next episodes could be after "Brandon". Just getting this out there.

Adventure Time with Finn, Jake, & Rachel

Chapter 22: Brandon

In the past, Betty was brought to Ooo by Rachel, who held out a tiara for her.

"Now, all you need to do is put this on, and we can be together forever. Don't worry, it's nothing like Dad's. You'll still be yourself, but... the changes will happen gradually over time.", Rachel said giving her mom the tiara.

"Heh, this is just like the old days when you, your father, and I played castle and we were a happy royal family.", Betty reminisced before she then put on the tiara.

And nothing happened at first.

"I don't feel any different. Is it working?", Betty asked, not noticing her hair growing slightly longer.

"I told you that it will take time, but it is working. In fact, just look at your hair.", Rachel said making an ice mirror to show her.

Betty looked and saw that her hair was slightly longer than before.

"Huh. Well, I guess we'll ride this out together.", Betty said to Rachel before they both head upstairs to get some sleep.

But the moment Betty got in bed, yawned, and went to sleep, her crow's feet began to form near her closed eyes.

In the present, an ominous, goo-like entity known as Bella Noche opened his eyes in a secret chamber, speaking to the three wizards present: Bufo, the Forest Wizard, and the Laser Wizard.

"Have you obtained the staff of Stranson Doughblow?", Bella Noche asked.

"Yes, Bella Noche.", the Forest wizard replied. "We procured the staff using the full extent of our wizardy ways."

Then the time has come to reveal my true form, and when I materialize on this...", Bella Noche began, continuing as he and the other wizards were unaware of the Ice Family spying on them from behind the stairway.

"Oh, man.", Rachel whispered in worry.

"...you will receive your end of the deal."

"The lost system of Antediluvian magick—the tightest of all wiz biz.", the laser wizard spoke.

"So right and tight, I get restless leg syndrome about it. Look!", the Forest wizard added, his restless leg shaking.

"And now, it will be yours.", Bella Noche smirked.

"And now, it will be yours.", Bella Noche smirked.

"No!", Rachel shouted as she, Simon, and Betty intervened, blowing out snow onto the circle.

"WHAT THE BLOOD?! RAE-RAE!", the Forest Wizard shouted.

"Guys, you have to listen to me when I say you have no idea of the forces you're playing with here!", Simon warned.

"We're going this for your own good.", Betty added.

Just then, the Grand Master Wizard exploded the doorway with his magic, with the Wizard Police behind him.

"Stop that now, trash cones! Bella Noche must not cross into our world!", the Grand Master Wizard warned.

"Too late, fools! Bella Noche emerges!", Bella Noche smirked before he grabbed the staff and placed it on the circle with his magic.

"Whoa! What the—?", the Forest Wizard reacted.

"No!", the Ice Family shouted just before Bella Noche combined the sword, the staff, the golden cup, and the crystal ball. They all powered up Bella Noche.

"Duck!", the Grand Master Wizard shouted as he and the wizard policemen took cover.

But the Ice Family didn't have enough time to do the same. In fact, an explosion of anti-magic burst out. The wizards screamed and Simon, Betty, and Rachel screamed, too. Simon's crown gems, as well as Rachel and Betty's tiara gems, turned white, shut down by Bella Noche's anti-magic.

With the crown and tiara off their heads, Simon, Betty, and Rachel all wound up turning back to their previous lives before the Mushroom War. The wizards were now laying down, depowered as Bella Noche changed into a powerful form inside the black crystal of dark anti-magic.

"Aw, cram! Here we go!", the Grand Master Wizard shouted in worry.

The Forest Wizard was the first to get up before he felt something wrong.

"Uhhhh... hey. Hey, I—I can't feel my magic!", the Forest Wizard spoke in worry.

"Me neither. What gives?", the Laser Wizard asked.

"Bella Noche is a being of pure anti-magic! Y'alls got played!", the Grand Master Wizard responded.

"Oh, what a fool am I!", the forest wizard spoke before Bella Noche slapped him aside. "Aaaaaaaaaaah!"

"Ugh... what happened?", Rachel asked.

"This must be it, man. we've crossed into some super-insane zone where I feel like we're just normal again.", Simon replied, feeling himself before taking off his crown and seeing the depowered gems.

"Or maybe we're just normal again.", Simon added.

"Well, that's not good.", Rachel responded.

"We have to get back to the Ice Kingdom and figure out how to power back our crown and tiaras, fast.", Betty urged, earning a nod from Rachel.

"Go! Destroy! Throw your boots at it, or—I don't know!", the Grand Master Wizard ordered to the Wizard Police, who charged at Bella Noche, throwing their boots at the black barrier.

"Dang. Sorry, Simon.", the Grand Master Wizard shouted before the trio got outside and saw their reflections.

"Aw. I look so cute.", Rachel beamed.

But all of a sudden, a jerkish teen vampire named Ash turned up, much to Rachel's disdain as she growled.

"Hey, stop looking at yourselves. You're all ugly, sis. Get lost. This is my busking spot.", Ash said.

Angrily, Rachel punched Ash off his magic carpet.

"That's for hurting Marcy you gronkin jerk!", Rachel hissed. "Go, carpet!", Rachel shouted before she, Simon, and Betty flew to the Ice Kingdom and then into the The Past room.

"The secret entrance should be here.", Rachel said, pushing the desk away to reveal said entrance at the wall.

"I'll get to work on the time travel spell. You two can call Marcy and bring her up to speed. Please. She should still have a picture of us when we were normal.", Rachel said.

"Of course. So, we can get Brandon and figure out how to fix our crown and tiaras.", Betty realized.

"Exactly. It'll be a really big help.", Rachel responded.

"Well..., we might not have much time left anyway. What have we got to lose?", Simon said.

Meanwhile, at Marceline's house, she, Finn, Jake, and Bonnie were getting ready to make some music.

"A-one, a-two, a-one, two, three, four.", Marceline began.

"Wait!", Finn interrupted.

"What?", Marceline puzzled.

"Why are you holding your bass up high like that?", Finn asked.

"Mm-mm-mmm. I get better finger action this way.", Marceline shrugged.

"But you look like a nerd.", Finn commented, much to Marceline's annoyance. "Move it back down. It's better."

"Move the bass down.", Jake insisted before Marceline gave the same look.

"A-move the bass a-down."

"Be reasonable."

"I think it's fine Marcy's doing it that way.", Bonnie assured.

"Aw, what?", Jake asked.

Of course, Marceline grinned to Bonnie before the former's phone rang and she answered.

"Yes?", Marceline asked.

"Marcy, it's me, Simon."

"And Betty. Listen. Something bad happened when Bella Noche was released and all our bodies might donk out soon because of that, so get to the Ice Kingdom fast and help us with this time portal, so we can find Brandon and get some help before we croakboat!", Betty urged.

"I know that's a lot to process, but hurry, and bring our family picture. That picture is the key. Okay, Marcy? You got that? Marcy?", Simon asked as Marceline was now on the floor, stunned with surprise.

"Marceline? Are you okay?", Bonnie asked.

Then, a flashback began, showing Simon, Rachel, Marcy, and most curiously, Betty walking through post-apocalyptic Ooo.

"A long, long time ago, Simon and Rae-Rae were my only friends. They were there when I needed help.", Marceline said before the flashback ended. "Although, for some reason, I remember seeing Betty, there, too. But that's not what happened. At least I don't think so."

"We'll talk about that later. Right now, Simon and his family are in trouble and they need our help.", Bonnie urged.

Later, Finn, Bonnie, and Marceline rode on Jake towards Simon's ice castle. Marceline was the first to get off and enter, Bonnie following her inside with Finn and Jake not far behind.

"Simon? Rae-Rae?", Marceline asked.

"Betty?", Bonnie added.

However, the group of four noticed Gunter, wearing Simon's depowered crown.

"Wenk!"

Then, Gunter led them to Simon, Betty, and Rachel.

"Wenk!"

"Marcy!", Rachel spoke in elated relief.

"Rae-Rae! Simon!", Marceline shouted in surprise before she floated down and embraced both Rachel and Simon, who did the same.

"We're here, Betty. What's the problem?", Bonnie asked.

"We don't have much time left now.", Simon began before he started to cough.

"Excuse me. I—"

But Simon coughed harder.

"Man, Simon.", Marceline said in worry.

"Long story short, Bella Noche negated our magic and...", Betty began before she coughed.

"And now, we might donk out soon...", Rachel added before coughing as well.

"You're all dying!", Marceline spoke in worry.

"Well, yes, but only in increments. We've still got work to do.", Simon responded.

"Finn, Jake, can you guys run our generator?", Rachel requested.

"Yeah, Rae-Rae.", Finn agreed.

He and Jake climbed onto the stationary bike and started pedaling.

"Cool.", Jake commented before the time travel device started glowing.

"That's great! Keep pedaling just like that!", Betty said.

"I'll make sure that the generator doesn't have any problems that could cause it to overload.", Bonnie offered.

"Great idea.", Rachel grinned.

"All we need now is the catalyst—an object from the past that has been lovingly tended to through the ages.", Simon added.

"Did you bring that picture with you?", Rachel asked.

"Yep.", Marceline said, holding out a picture of Simon, Betty, and Rachel when they were normal.

"Oh, I can't believe how young and normal we used to look...", Rachel beamed.

Marceline sighed.

"Yeah."

She then kissed the picture gently and handed it to Rachel.

"Thanks to you, Marcy, we can find Uncle Brandon and get his help. Thank you.", Rachel thanked before placing the family picture in the liquid.

It floated up and turned into a portal just as Brandon was arriving in the vacant home of the Petrikovs.

"Well, I don't know if anyone's home at this point, but I gotta drop off this family picture somehow.", Brandon said as he opened the car door before he got out, closed the car door, and then walked toward the front door.

But before he could ring the doorbell, a portal opened up from behind him, prompting him to turn around.

"Brandy? Brandy. Brandy!", Betty shouted.

"What the flip?! Betty? Simon? Rae-Rae? You look just as grown-up as your parents. What's going on here?", Brandon asked.

"We're a thousand years in the future, bro. I opened this portal because we're in trouble here and we need your help.", Betty responded.

"My help? What for?", Brandon asked.

"Well, it's just that everything changed after we put on that crown and those tiaras. You disappeared, things went crazy, Simon thought I ran away when I actually came here to be with future Rae-Rae, and... we never saw you again.", Betty responded.

"But where would I go? Where would I even disappear to?", Brandon asked.

"No one really... knows.", Rachel said, realizing something as Brandon became puzzled about something.

"But I don't understand. You don't seem crazy now, Simon. I mean, with you three in the future and all.", Brandon said before the portal started to shrink.

"The portal is closing. There's no time to explain. Are you in? Or out?", Betty asked worriedly just as Rachel, having come to this realization, turned to her parents.

"Mom, Dad, I know where Brandon disappeared to now!", Rachel realized elatedly just as Brandon realized something himself.

During this realization, Brandon taped the picture to the front door on which the note can be seen in the back of the picture.

"Where?", Simon and Betty puzzled.

"Isn't it obvious? You three, of course!", Brandon shouted as he leapt through the portal just before it closed and exploded as he hugged them, astonishing, Bonnie, Marceline, Finn, and Jake.

Suddenly, however, the family collapsed, worrying Brandon.

"Betty?", Brandon puzzled before he helped her and her daughter and husband up, carrying them to the carpet.

"What's wrong? Are you guys sick?", Brandon asked.

"In a way...", Rachel replied.

"We're... actually old.", Betty added.

"The crown and tiaras were keeping us alive, but its magic was negated by the creature Bella Noche.", Simon added.

"Bella Noche? Wait a minute. I think I remember hearing something about that. A creature that supposedly drains all magic around him as a being of pure anti-magic, right?", Brandon guessed.

"You're right on the money...", Rachel replied weakly before coughing.

"You can't die...! I just got here!", Brandon said worriedly.

"The only way to undo what Bella Noche did is to destroy him before it's too late...", Rachel groaned.

"But how...? I don't have any...", Brandon began before realizing something.

"Wait a minute... That's it! If he seeks to destroy all magic with his anti-magic, then he might have no point going after me because I don't have any magic! It's perfect!", Brandon began as Simon, Betty, and Rachel became surprised.

"Really?", Betty asked.

"Yeah, really! I'll defeat Bella Noche, fix the crown and tiaras, and then figure out how to fix you three!", Brandon vowed.

"Huh? Fix us?", Rachel asked.

"What? No. Guys, stop him.", Simon pleaded.

"Uh...", Jake began.

"Hmm...", Marceline added.

"Yeah, but...", Finn began.

"It kind of sounds like a good idea.", Jake stated.

"And we are running low on options.", Bubblegum said.

"Well, I'll take it, whoever you are.", Brandon said as he took the crown and tiaras from Gunter and walked back to the trio.

"It's Bonnie.", Bubblegum responded.

"Wait...! We're coming with you.", Rachel pleaded a bit weakly as she and her parents now look half as pale as Marceline.

"Seriously? In that kind of condition?"

"Well, someone's gotta hug you when you save us, Uncle Brandy.", Rachel explained.

Brandon gave a warm chuckle before sighing.

"Well, when you put it that way... Just hang on. Both literally AND figuratively. As for you, carpet, take us to Bella Noche.", Brandon urged.

Simon and his wife and daughter barely managed to hold on as best they could given their aging states as they flew upward out of the castle with Brandon.

"Hold on, gang!", Brandon shouted.

"Don't you think we're trying?", Betty asked.

"It may be only a matter of time before we get on something if we don't hold on: the death bus.", Simon said.

Just then, a skeleton with white clothes, a hat, and a horse skull for a head named Death, rode by, flying alongside them, although Brandon didn't see him.

"I've got you three in my sights, Rae-Rae!", Death said before laughing.

"It's up to you now, Uncle Brandon! You have to stop Bella Noche before it's too late!", Rachel pleaded.

"I plan to. Destroying Bella Noche and getting your power back will buy me time to find a loophole that'll undo your curse and your death.", Brandon responded.

"But how?", Betty asked.

"If your crown and tiaras were all that were keeping you alive, I'll find some way to be sure that in the event that anything happens to them, you three would still be alive."

"Brandy...", Betty began.

"Get real, man. This is your one chance with your family! I made a mix tape for the ride: 'Summer Jams 3'.", Death said, holding out said mix tape.

"If we don't let him try, then what are we? What are us?", Betty said to Death.

"What?", Brandon puzzled.

"Eh, fair enough. See you in a few.", Death said before disappearing.

Simon and Betty looked to one another in determination.

"There! He's right there!", Rachel shouted, pointing toward a big dark cube in the distance near the outskirts of Wizard City.

That dark cube was Bella Noche, who has grown gigantic.

"This brioche won't stop growing.", the Grand Master Wizard said in worry.

He shot a crossbow as someone caught up.

"Ron James, what took...", the Grand Master Wizard said before one of Bella Noche's tentacles slammed the ground. "you?"

"Yo, my lab got creamed! I had to dummy-rig an alchemical filter out of a dirty bidet and a vaporizer!", Ron James explained.

"But will the double-negative magic work?", the Grand Master Wizard asked.

"Heck yeah! Ron James always delivers! Check it out, brotha! Yaah!", Ron James shouted, throwing potion at Bella Noche. "In your face!"

Bella Noche screamed as his barrier reacted with pink and light pink waves on it, the magic emanating from it.

"Yeah!", the Grand Master Wizard and Ron James shouted.

However, the barrier became more erratic before the pink waves disappeared with the barrier now looking like a black crystallic mess.

"What the stink is that?!", the Grand Master Wizard exclaimed.

"My lab conditions were not ideal.", Ron James stated.

"But you did not deliver!", the Grand Master Wizard shouted before shaking Ron James.

"Peace, man! Aaah!"

Almost immediately, Bella Noche began blasting anti-magic blasts just as Brandon, Betty, Simon, and Rachel arrived.

"We're here to help!", Brandon assured.

"Help? How?", the Grand Master Wizard asked.

Just then, Bella Noche shot an electric bolt at him and Ron James, who both fell flat on their backs.

"We're toast, bro.", the Grand Master Wizard groaned.

Unfortunately, they weren't the only ones as the family fell off the carpet.

"Guys!', Brandon shouted before the trio moaned weakly.

"Hey, don't scare me like that.", Brandon said.

"Hey, Uncle Brandy... Go get him...", Rachel weakly encouraged.

"As if I wasn't planning on doing it already. I'll be back in a sec!", Brandon said as he got on the carpet and flew toward Bella Noche.

"You three got about 15 seconds.", Death warned.

The bad news was, Bella Noche shot at Brandon, propelling him onto the crystal barrier's small hole, which he was able to crawl through in order to enter the core where he found the perpetrator.

"How the—? Wait.", Bella Noche began.

"Surprise, you tranch!", Brandon shouted before punching and kicking Bella Noche.

With that, Bella Noche's barrier exploded, sending out a shock wave of magic energy, replenishing the magic energy of all who lost it.

"You three win this round, Rae-Rae. But I'll see you dudes later.", Death said as he turned, walked away, and disappeared.

Rachel groaned as she and her parents stood back up.

"I think... I think we got our magic back!", Rachel beamed, finally starting to feel better.

Just then, Brandon arrived via Magic carpet.

"Thanks, Uncle Brandy...!", Rachel thanked, hugging him.

"Hey, anything for my favorite niece.", Brandon grinned.

"You did it Brandon, you saved us.", Betty beamed as she and Simon caught up.

"It may take a while before we can use our ice magic again, but at least now, we can feel it, so that's a good start. That said, thank you.", Simon thanked.

"Hey, no problem, Simon.", Brandon grinned.

With that, the wizards cheered and used their powers in celebration.

"Wizard City is saved!", the Grand Master Wizard laughed heartily, hugging, Betty, Simon, and Rachel.

Later, back at the castle of the Ice Kingdom, Simon, Rachel, and Betty, whose hairs have already started turning white, were recreating their game of royalty much like before back then.

"Hear ye, hear ye! We hearby return all homes and lands to their rightful owners!", Simon declared to Gunter and the other penguins, who wenked excitedly as they clapped as Rachel grinned.

"Now, this is the kind of game I was hoping to play again one of these days... I just wish we could have him here with us.", Rachel said softly with a sad grin.

"Now, Rae-Rae, I'm sure he'll be able to join us when he's ready. But until then, we must be patient.", Simon assured.

"Yeah, Dad... I guess you're right.", Rachel agreed, not knowing that Gunter turned and saw Brandon outside, watching from his flying carpet. He lingered for a moment with sad, happy tears and then flew away just as Betty looked out the window, nearly spotting Brandon.

"Brandon...", Betty said softly, looking out the window.

Sometime later, Rachel found herself in a dark, pitch-black void, wandering all alone by herself.

"Where am I? What is this place?", Rachel puzzled.

Of course, she overheard sinister laughing.

"Huh...? Who's there?"

But the laughter sounded again, sounding closer this time.

"Don't hide from me! Show yourself!", Rachel demanded.

After a moment, however, a tall, dark, skeletal figure with horns draped in a cloak chuckled, towering above Rachel, making her gasp as ominous green flames sprouted as orbs in each of his hands.

"Your End is nearly upon you, Child.", the figure spoke.

Suddenly, Rachel yelled out and sat upright with a jerk before panting to herself. After a moment, she sighed.

"Ah... It was just a nightmare...", Rachel sighed before going back to sleep, not knowing that Gunter, who saw this, seemed to have a concerned look.

"Wenk?"
