Sly sat on the couch looking nervously straight to the other couch, while they waited in France for their friend.
His hands were together near his mouth while shaking his leg and thought about how Kate would react to the news.
Knowing her, she can be a hot-headed person and besides, they haven't seen her for almost 3 years. Yesterday Bentley told him that her life has been busy lately, because she's now a college student.
Sly let out a long sigh, while leaning behind and looked to the roof.
His head turned to the left where Penelope and Bentley whispered in the kitchen. Carmelita and Bentley tried to calm Penleope, who looked very nervous.
6 years ago Kate and Penelope became good friends, and after General Tsao's dragon's situation, Kate even taught Penelope to protect herself.
"Are you thinking about her reaction?" Murray asked, who leaned to the couch and watched to the kitchen.
"Yep, and how will she react to them?" Sly told him and they looked at each other nervously.
"Guys, who is this friend of yours?" Kit asked, who had looked outside thinking about the morning situation.
Bentley looked at her and realized that he completely forgot to tell Kit about this person.
"That's kind of complicated."
"It's like a wibbly wobbly… time-y wimey, stuff." Sly said, trying to cheer Penelope at the sametime, but got a questioning look from Kit.
"You... you'll see."
Bentley's phone beeped and after reading that, he asked Murray to close the living room curtains, while he closed the dining area curtains.
"Why are you closing the curtains?" Carmelita managed to ask, when the white portal came to the living room.
"Knock knock." They heard a young voice with the New York dialect and two animal-eared girls stepped out of the portal.
The taller one had brown cat ears, while the shorter one had lynx ears.
Boys and Penelope were like nothing happened, but Kit and Carmelita wouldn't stop staring at them, until the portal closed behind them.
"She?" Carmelita thought, when she finally recognized the older teenager.
Carmelita has seen her 3 years ago when they helped Sly's ancestors, but she hasn't talked to her at all. Carmelita tried to ask that from Murray and Bentley, but didn't get a good answer from them. Back then she couldn't even think about asking that from Sly.
"Kate, it's so good to see you!" Murray shouted gladly and came to hug his friend, or almost crushed her under the strong hug.
The lynx-eared girl backed up, hiding her mouth behind her thin finger and looking at the situation as startled.
"You too, big guy," Kate whispered under his strong hug and patted Murray on his right shoulder.
"But, I want to feel the floor."
Murray let her go and apologized, where Kate shook her hand gladly when she got air.
"I've been missing you too, but we need to talk about that hug, really." She told him smiling and was going to greet Bentley, when her eyes spotted Penelope.
"What. Is. She. Doing. Here?" Kate asked tightly and was going to walk closer, if Murray wouldn't stop her.
Bentley and Carmelita covered Penelope behind them, where Kate blinked her green eyes.
"And, she?" Kate asked confusedly and pointed at Carmelita.
"Kate, sit down, we'll tell you everything." Sly stood up from the couch finally.
"Oh great, let's have a nice conversation about why there's Police, a backstabber and…" Kate said sarcastically, when she stopped talking. It's him, he is actually here.
Honestly Kate has thought that it was all a dream, that they had found Sly and brought him back in their time-line.
However when she was behind the safe-house door, she wasn't anymore sure about that call and came to catch some air, to wake herself.
"...You." Kate said, while letting air out of her lungs.
Kate relaxed and so did Murray. Everyone felt that the situation was under control and they relaxed as well.
"Me." Sly chuckled and showed himself.
Kate walked closer at him and all she could do was stare at him.
"Come on, just give me a hu-" Sly said, when he fell Kate pushing him back to the couch.
"IDIOT!" Kate shouted and pointed to the raccoon, who looked smirking confused at her.
"You and your stupidest ego in the world. I can't believe that you, yes you, I mean… Aarrgh!" She shouted, almost fisting her hands and looking to the roof.
Sly stood up smiling and gave Kate a hug, which silenced her.
"It's good to see you." He said and patted her head.
"You do know that I'm still pissed off?" Kate told him, which made Sly let go.
"Unbelievable." She mumbled, pinching her nose and took some steps away from them.
Everyone looked at eachother, unknowing what to do or say. When
they remember the second visitor. The younger girl hadn't moved even an inch in her place where she had come and they saw how her dark blue eyes looked at Kate.
"Kate's friends are our friends too. What's your name? Call me Murray." He introduced and was going to shake the girl's hand, who blinked her eyes and backed up a couple steps.
"Ju... Julia." She said shyly and raised shoulders closer to jaw.
