Kit blinked and found herself sitting on the floor, feeling how heavy and numb her legs felt. She tried to stand up, but hissed when feeling pain on her right hand, where the other reacted.
Kit looked at her hand and felt how her heart skipped a beat. There was a mark, which ended up on her wrist.
"What, is this?" she only could ask, staring terrified at her hand, while Sly and Murray helped Kit back on her feets.
Everyone saw that the Tarot card had disappeared, or moved to Kit's hand, but now it looked different.
Julia walked closer to look at her hand, but seeing that as a first burn, made her backup and closed her eyes.
"It's a justice card." She whispered, looking to the floor.
They only could look at the youngest and Kit turned her head back to her hand, feeling that it was warmth.
"Kit, let's take care of your hand." Penelope broke a silence and walked to the kitchen side.
Boys and Kate have taken a meeting to the hallway or actually, boys have brought her there, while the rest of the other stayed inside the safe house.
Bentley took his tablet, -wishing that the same won't repeat- and started to search for information. Unfortunately, a small voice inside his head knew the answer, there wasn't anything which might help about this.
Murray's mind came Mz. Ruby when they were in Haiti, but after Bentley's search he told them that she's still in jail.
"So without technology and -whoever that voodoo crocodile woman is-, this is a dead-end." Kate said, spreading her hands on the side.
"Why don't you know anything about these things? After all, you are the magic owner." Sly asked, raising his right eyebrow, while crossing his arms.
Kate stared at him and put her hands on her hips, taking a step closer to him.
"How many times I have to tell you, mister. That the magic owners are rare!" Kate answered tightly and poked him on his chest.
Boys were quiet and Kate looked to the left, where Murray looked a little bit despondent.
"Murray, no, I don't mean this about you. You know what happens to me when I'm stressed." She said embarrassed and slide to the floor, hiding her face to knees.
They only could look at their friend for a while, who is mostly positive and ready to protect the other, but now she was the opposite.
"You aren't the first one who's been under pressure," Bentley said and closed his tablet.
Kate, Murray and Sly looked at Bentley, who sighed and started to tell one of his stories, which even boys hadn't heard before.
"When I was around your age, teachers tried to jawbone me to go to Oxford. It was pretty close, but then I found a picture in my room, where we were on our first mission back in Happy orphanage house."
Eventhought Kate has heard their first mission over a million times, it always makes her smile.
"I just can see how you two ran behind Murray, while he ate all the cookies." Kate told Murray, while trying to hold her laugh.
"Those were good." He defended and heard Kate's chuckles.
They decide to go to see if Penelope has been luckier to find anything. Sly was going to give a hand from Kate, but she stood up by herself.
"I don't need a knight in my life, I'm a strong independent lady." Kate said, right fingertips on her scapula.
"I just tried to be courteous." Sly jokes, raising his shoulders.
*Meanwhile inside the safehouse*
After giving Kit some cold, Penelope had opened her laptop and started searching for some information, unfortunately it looks like a dead-end.
"Is it too tight?" Carmelita asked, while putting a gauze on Kit's hand.
"No, it's fine." Kit answered and looked at Julia, who had looked outside from the window.
"Are you okay?" she asked, where Carmelita and Penelope looked at their other visitor.
Julia looked behind her and looked surprised.
"Hm? Yes, sorry. I just can't handle those things sometimes." She explained to them, leaning on the fridge.
"I don't understand, I can't find anything about this situation." Penelope told them confused and leaned on her cheeks.
Carmelita got flashbacks when she was in Australia, but couldn't remember that clearly no matter how hard she tried to think.
She had felt rage all of a sudden, but then she had woken up in the desert, seeing her camera's film full of 'evidence'.
She still doesn't know how they got those pictures, because her camera's autotimer was broken.
"Wait…" Kit said suddenly and started to focus on something.
Girls saw when Kit held her temples eyes closed.
"I saw something, when I touched that mark." She said and started to focus, but every time when she catches a memory it disappears.
"Why can't I remember that?" She sighed frustrated.
"It will come back, I'm sure about that." Carmelita told her, when Kit opened her eyes.
A door opened and Bentley rolled closer to Penelope and the rest followed him.
"Anything?"
"Not really, any luck here?" Bentley asked, where Penelope shook her head, but mentioned Kit's words, who started to tell a memory. Which almost has disappeared in her mind.
"What colors there were, do you remember those?" Julia asked.
Kit looked at the lynx-eared girl, she thought for a while and nodded.
"Actually yes," she said and stood up.
"The colors were dark, but there was something red too. And the weather was kind of cold as well. It felt like autumn." Kit explains to them, walking in front of them.
"And some messages too."
"'A dark, cold, red, Autumn and a message'. Sounds like Dark academia to me." Julia read on her phone's memory list.
"Come again?" Sly asked, looking at the youngest person.
"It's kind of an interesting fashion. Mystic and elegant together." Julia said and Kit clapped her hands.
"There was a young female, who walked elegantly closer to me, from the shadows and she was like you two, but she had swang wings." Kit said and looked behind her, that her 9 tails came after her.
"And what about that message?" Murray asked.
"I wish I could remember, it felt like a distant memory." Kit shook her head gently and hugged herself.
"Don't worry Kit. It'll come back to your-" Kate was going to say and nudge Kit with her elbow, but saw that she wasn't with the others anymore.
Kate took some air and saw some swan with Kit, in the inner court of the middle century castle.
"Tell Katherine Jessica Anderson that she has only 3 days to come to her ancestors hometown, or her time will never ever return." Kate heard and she blinked her eyes.
Kate blinked wildly and gasped air after that vision.
She felt that someone was holding her behind her, at first she didn't hear anything, only her ears ringed.
"...te, Kate!" Sly shouted, where Kate reacted.
Kate saw everyone startled. She tried to speak, but it came out of her mouth stammered.
"C-castle… 3 days… time… stop."
