When Kit and the teens came back to the van, they started to explain about the status, which they had seen not far away from here and the others wanted to see it.
"I think that I pass this time." Kit told them, where Julia agreed.
"Same, keep an eye on the van." Julia said and made a smile, while quickly showing the van with her arm.
After the others had left, Kit felt again how her hand hurt. She raised her arm and held her right wrist.
"Kit, what's the matter?" She heard Julia asking.
"Just my hand hurt a little, nothing else." Kit answered and looked at her hand, which started to feel better.
Kit looked the youngest, who had closed her eyes and focused her breathing.
"Sorry, I forgot that you don't like these." Kit apologized, where Julia looked at her.
"It's fine, I asked that for you."
"Well, here it is." Kate said and raised her arm showing the status, where she was earlier.
"That's Alice Nutter," Bentley said and rolled in front of the statue, after reading the slab.
"She came from a very good family, who owned land in Pendle, but there was one name which caught my eye. Alison Devis."
"It all started when Alison was pegging some money to her family, when she 'cursed' a man. Nowadays it has been fixed that the man got a stroke." He continued, seeing how the others reacted to the cursed -word.
"So, she was in the wrong place at the wrong time." Penelope said melancholic and hugged herself, when Kate felt something in the air.
She knew clearly what it was and paid more attention to that magic, which has come in the summer wind.
"...ner…" Kate heard a delicate whisper and looked everywhere, still focusing on listening.
"Kate, what is it?" Vexen asked seriously.
"I heard something, it sounded like a whisper." Kate told them and tried to listen again.
"Did you hear that Murray?" She asked and looked at him, who shook his head.
They looked everywhere, focusing if they might hear or feel something, but nothing. Everything felt normal.
However they trust her, who still kept trying to focus on something. After all, it wasn't the first time when Kate had felt something strange. Last time it happened in Australia.
When they came back to the van and finally found the right road, Julia's mind came to a question.
"So, who was this Clockwerk again?"
Sly blew some air out and started to tell how Clockwerk was jealous of his ancestors.
"And last but not least, his real name was Mentu." He said, where Kate looked at the roof with her eyes, crossing her arms.
"Well to be honest, Mentu as a name wouldn't fit this giant mechanic eagle. No really, think about it." She chuckled and looked back to the others.
Once again the same silence came in the air and Murray started to whistle again, drumming to the wheel.
"Guys what now?" Kate asked.
Kit saw how Julia put hands to her ears and Kit decided to do the same thing.
"Get ready." Julia whispered to her, before closing her eyes.
"You mean an owl." Bentley fixed who hadn't prepared to come.
"WHAT?!" Kate let a high-pitched shout, where Murray hit the brakes and everyone moved back or front with their seats.
"He was an owl?!" Kate asked for everyone, looking clearly unknown to others.
"I always thought that he was an eagle, because he was huge and skinny!"
"No, he was an owl." Murray told her, while massaging his ears and continued driving, lucky for them the road was quiet.
"My whole life has been a lie." Kate whispered, shaking her head.
Vexen leaned closer to Sly and so did he.
"We should probably stay quiet about…" She whispered, meaning Vexen's ancestor, where Sly nodded seriously.
*Meanwhile Winthrop's house*
Jonathan, Ethan and Sophie walked to the kitchen, where Sophie put water on the kettle and brothers sat on the chairs.
"Even though you should be on your vacation, we don't know how to thank you enough. Also sorry about this mess," Sophie said, meaning dishes on the sink.
"Our dishwasher has been broken for a while and our life is going to change." She said and put her hands on her stomach, when Jonathan noticed a positive silence in the air.
"Congratulations!" He said stupefied, looking at them.
Both thanked Jonathan, but the smile didn't raise to ears.
Sophie sat on her husband's right side and saw Jonathan taking his small notebook out of his pocket.
"Don't mind these questions." Jonathan warned them and clicked the pen open.
