After Kate had explained to everyone what Julia had said to her, there was silence.
"What do you mean no stealing?" Sly only could ask, after getting his voice back.
"Didn't you listen?" Kate asked tightly, left hand on her hip while raising her right arm.
"She hasn't done something like this which we have like, I don't know, over a million times!"
Kit lowered her head and pretended to fix her gauze but actually, she smiled. She couldn't do anything with that, because these teenagers were so opposite to each other and still friends.
However they all understood what Kate mentioned, they have to show Julia that she can trust them.
"Alright, alright," Sly said and put his hand on top of his heart.
"I, Sly Cooper, promise not gonna s-t-e-a-l anything."
"Good." Kate nodded her head satisfied and looked at the other.
"Don't worry Kate," Murray said and made a scout promise.
"'The Murray' always keeps his promise."
"I could try my past life after what we've been through." Vexen said, who had sat silently on Sly's right side.
"I don't see anything wrong there. Besides that way we stay away from t-r-o-u-b-l-e-s." Penelope said, where Sly jokes chagrined.
"Ka~te, Penelope stole my joke." He said, where Penelope chuckles.
"I promise." Kit said shortly, leaning against the wall.
They all looked at Bentley now, and it looked like he was balancing, in the middle of two choices.
Even though this is a huge choice, he understood the newest person's situation, and they already saw what happened to her back in London.
Bentley nodded to understanding and looked at Kate. She walked to the door and soon came back Julia following her, who looked shyly to them.
"Don't worry. We stay away from the problems." Kit said and straight herself.
"Okay everyone, listen up." Bentley said and rolled in front of them, to explain a plan.
"Penelope and Julia. You two will go to the library to search some history about this town, anything you find is important. Did you take your library card, Penelope?" Bentley asked and saw Penelope already showing a card in her fingers.
"Excellent. Murray, you drive us to Lancaster castle where you four scatter with two groups and search the castle, don't forget to take pictures. While you are there, I use my drone to look at castle and forest areas from the sky. This was the only thing we did on the train and time's running out."
Penelope and Julia walked into the library where they started to immediately search books. They took as many books as they could on the desk and started to read.
"Hey, I found something." Penelope said after the fourth book.
Penelope showed the book cover to Julia, who had walked closer to her.
"Okay, it's not about this country, but this book tells everything about the moon and stars. Their stories and myths." She told excitedly and turned the pages, when they saw a red moon drawn on there.
"Didn't Kit mention something red?" Penelope asked and looked at Julia, who kept staring at the picture.
"Is something wrong?"
"When I was a child, my grandparents used to tell me mythical stories," Julia explained to her and pointed to the picture, where people were under the red moon, begging on their knees.
"In the Saami mythology, there is a troll who eats the moon. While Scandinavian mythology tells that Fenrir eats the moon."
Penelope blinked her eyes, while hearing that word and shook her head as confused.
"Sorry, who ate the moon?" Penelope asked, where Julia looked at her finally.
"A giant wolf, it belongs to Scandinavian mythology." Julia explained to her.
Penelope looked back at the book, which felt full of information. She wants to read that so badly, just like a kid. Under the blanket with a flashlight.
When they had found the right books to borrow, they started to put the rest of them back.
"Can I ask you a question?" Penelope asked from Julia, where she nodded, mumbling positively.
"Since you're Kate's friend, has she said something… you know."
Julia looked at the mouse and then to the floor, she tried to think of even one situation between them, but realized that they had never argued.
Penelope waited for an answer from Julia, who kept her eyes on the gray floor.
"No, not from me, but with my brother… Look, let's just borrow some books so we can go, okay?" Julia said and walked to the large library desk quickly.
Penelope looked at the youngest and started to hold a book tighter on her hands.
The van arrived at the Lancaster castle parking lot, while Bentley and Kate argued.
"No means no. I'm not gonna put that wig on, ever again!" Kate said tightly.
"Then how are you gonna cover your hair?" Bentley asked.
Kate showed a cap hat which was Julia's head earlier, where Bentley sighed and gave up, putting a wig back to the wig's case.
Kate hid her iconic red hair line under the cap hat and left her flannel-hoodie on her seat before going outside.
When she came outside of the van, something felt weird. The air felt heavy like thunder would come any minute, but the weather was nice.
"Is it just me or is there something weird?" Murray asked, looking around.
"I thought that it was only me." Vexen said, looking at him wondering.
Slowly Kate started to hold her head, feeling that a headache was coming to her. Kate heard whispers again and again, but it felt impossible to hear.
Everyone noticed that Kate was quiet, which is unusual from her.
It felt like a slow motion, when they saw Kate fainting. Her last feeling was when Murray caught her.
Kate saw a blue sky first and then looked side to side.
"Where am I?" She thought, while she sat on the ground and heard something behind her, which came on the road.
Kate walked closer and hid herself behind the huge rock. She saw a skinny girl with some strong looking man, who carried a bag. The girl jumped happily around him, where the man chuckled.
Kate looked at them better and made sure that they are a father and daughter, except that the man had short red hair, while the girl had cotton light hair, hidden under the white headscarf.
Suddenly Kate felt something behind her, but she couldn't look there. No matter how she tried.
"No… NO!"
Kate finally managed to look behind her and felt that she couldn't hear anything for a second. The same man hugged someone, who didn't move on the ground.
"...Please forgive her,"
A person almost owned the same hair colors that he owned, but there were 3 colors. Red, orange and yellow.
"Forgive my daughter, forgive her." A man whispered, while looking at the afternoon sky and took his daughter in his arms and walked heavily away.
"A dau… ghter." Kate said and saw her resting on a van.
