Life 4: "Alright, that's enough... you can stop sparring now" The battle concludes!
A Saiyan? What's that? It sounds like some kind of alien. I mean, this dude, Tomat, did fall from the sky and all... but earlier he said he was from another version from earth. I therefore assumed he was human.
There is something that is bothering me though, and that is his tail. It looks like the same kind of tail that the main character, Saturo, has in Dragon Orb, my favourite shonen battle manga.
"Interesting" I turned around and saw that Azazel, a chemistry teacher at this school and the adviser for our club, had awoken from his nap. "So it looks like you guys have made a new friend."
"You could say that" I replied.
"I had to come out and see what was going on for myself, it was pretty hard to sleep with all that racket"
We turned around to watch Tomat and Koneko's fight continue, they were both still going at it ferociously. It looked as if they were both evenly matched. Well to be fair, Koneko wasn't using her nekomata powers. So I'd presume that she were still a good bit stronger than tomat.
"What I am curios about is that boy's tail." Azazel remarked.
"I'm pretty sure he said something about being a Saiyan or something like that."
"The hecks a Saiyan?"
"What I said."
Tomat did sound very confident on what species he was. Maybe him coming to this world changed what species he was. As improbable as that sounded it was still a possibility. Can we really trust him?
We continued to watch on as their battle got heated. Koneko was able to consistently deliver punch after punch, and Tomat was able to counter with a set of his own.
"Well we can find out what species he is." Azazel spoke up.
"We can?" Asia replied
I wondered the same thing
"I've recently made a new devise that can scan a body and find out their species. At the time of making it I was on the fence whether we'd ever have a use for it, but, here we are."
A device that can find out peoples species huh? That does sound kind of pointless, but I do suppose it could come in use. Given that were surrounded by Greek, Norse, Biblical entities and such. Heck even Saiyans or whatever now.
"I started developing it after you lot won the rating game against Sariaorg. Since it's a small devise it didn't take me that long to develop." Azazel then turned around and started to quickly making his may back to the clubroom. "I'll be 5 minutes, try not to destroy to much of the scenery."
We turned around to observe the battle once more. Koneko was in the air sending blasts down at Tomat while he countered with his own. Tomat was currently in a sitting position with his knees crossed as if he was meditating. For some reason...? What a strange fighting style. Koneko then began to charge a bigger blast. As she charged her attack, Tomat closed his eyes and began to focus. This guy's going to get hurt if he doesn't move, why is he just sitting there??. To our surprise however, he began to levitate and looked as if he began to fly.
"Woah!, flight?" I called out in surprise. "Ki can be used to lift your body in the air, and since Saiyans are born with natural ki control it makes it easy to fly" Tomat replied
Natural Ki Control? That sounds kind of overpowered. Tomat began to fly up into the air slowly, until he was level with Koneko.
"You are just full of surprises aren't you?" Koneko said as she readied her blue blast, which was twice the size it normally was.
"How about one more surprise..." Tomat held out his right hand and started to form a ball of light in it, with it growing as he charged it. He then proceeded to throw it as if he were throwing a ball.
Koneko then fired her massive blast with it colliding with Tomat's... before engulfing it completely.
"W-wait!" Tomat yelled as Koneko's attack charged at him after completely engulfing his. "AAAAННН".
Koneko's attack hit Tomat with some force. As the smoke cleared Tomat was revealed to be covering his face with his arms. Revealing he managed to block the attack. His arms currently were surrounded by smoke.
"Well, that's that then" Tomat called out as he brough his smoking arms down.
"Suck it." Koneko replied while smirking, getting into a fighting position.
"Oi... how about this then, how about we charge at each other at full power for one final attack?"
"Aight, sounds good to me" Koneko replied confedently.
Koneko and Tomat both got into a position before charging at each other
"HHHHHHHHRRRRRAAΑΑΑΑΗΗΗΗΗΗΗ"
Asia held onto me as they charged at each other.
"All right that's enough... you can stop sparing now" Rias said as they charged.
After Rias spoke they both stopped suddenly in front of each other.
"I think its clear to see that Koneko was right, Tomat does have at least a decent amount of strength about him. Either way I now demand that you both stop fighting as to prevent any damage on the school grounds."
Well that was that. The battle was over. Looks like it was a draw. Koneko and Tomat both shook hands before descending to the ground. Just as the battle conceded Azazel returned with his devise.
"Alright let's see what species you are."
"Huh?" Tomat replied confused.
"This is our club adviser - Mr Azazel" Rias replied
I looked at Azazel's hand, he was holding a small looking, gold and silver device. It was about 35cmx80cm big. Azazel began to scan Tomat with the device, a green beam shot out of the front that made a noise.
"I mean, I was born a human, but now that I've got this tail it makes me question if coming to this world changed me to a species called a Saiyan."
"Where did you hear of the species" Rossweisse questioned.
"Well, it's kinda a species from a series in my old world called... Dragon Ball."
Dragon Ball? That sounded extremely similar to Dragon Orb.
"Essentially they all have tails just like the one I have, and I was watching a Dragon Ball video before being flushed down the toile-."
Tomat's tail then suddenly retracted into his back.
"Ow! What the...?"
Azazel's scanner then beeped and displayed the word "Human" on the screen.
"That confirms it then, you're a human" He remarked.
Me along with everyone else had a very broad look of confusion on our faces.
"But I don't understand... I have a tail, how can I still be a human?"
"I wonder if you have some kind of potentail sacred gear" Azazel remarked, approaching slightly."
"A what?" Tomat replied, puzzled.
"A sacred gear is a kind of tool that only a select few humans have. It's a very rare ability." Akeno explained.
Azazel was an expert in sacred gears, he and his team had spent years re-searching them after the Fallen Angels had withdrawn from the three-way war. If anyone knew what Tomat had possessed then it'd undoubtedly be him.
"I've got to be honest though, I've never seen a kind of sacred gear that is a tail. It seems new." Azazel said.
Well that was that then. A potentail sacred gear that Azazel had never heard of. It's definitely a mystery now.
Sacred gears are currently managed by the Angels up in heaven. They were created by the God of the Bible and were to be given out to humans to help defend themselves against any creatures from legend or myth. I assume that Azazel would be quite interested in Tomat's ability so he can add it to his research.
Rias then spoke up. "Well Tomat, I guess it's up to you. You have proven that you are strong enough to hold your own in a fight where someone is stronger than you. So do you maybe want to join us? Unless you want to go somewhere else. My father has good relations with this school so he can easily transfer you to here."
"Well, it seems that I have nowhere else to go, and you guys have been pretty nice to me, all be it putting me in a fight." Tomat replied "So yeah, I'll accept your offer."
"Great, you can come live with us then!" I replied excitedly. Since Kiba and Gasper are also moving in with us it makes sense that Tomat would as well.
"Don't be so quick Issei." Azazel said as he rested my hand on his shoulder. "Despite showing you that he can hold his own in a battle, you've only just met him, remember? For the time being, I will take care of him. Besides, I'm interested in his tail power thingy.
After Azazel spoke, Tomat gulped and looked to be trembling a little, clearly a little shook after what Azazel just said. I cant blame him really. Afterwards however Azazel laughed and assured Tomat he wasn't going to any weird experiments on him.
Kiba then perked up and said "Oh that reminds me, Sirzechs commanded that Gasper and I move in with you all, we'd better go to our current residence and gather all our stuff".
We began to walk out of the school field and head home after collecting our stuff from the clubroom. Azazel had spoken to Tomat on the way and had promised to brief him on everything, he was probably going to tell him about the three-way peace between Devils, Angels and Fallen Angels, as well as God of the Bible being dead. That probably included mine and everyone else's non-human identities.
"I think its also about time you lot got back to training as well. I think you're all well rested after your game with Sairaorg." Azazel perked up. "Especially you Issei, you've got your new Queen form to work on."
That's right. My Cardinal Crimson Queen Promotion. I had achieved back when I fought Sairaorg at the climax of our rating game.
We walked out to the area from where Tomat had fallen to when he appeared in the sky. I felt bad for him. He had been transported to this world without any of his stuff from his old world. He was pretty much starting fresh. I mean there was a chance he had a sacred gear so I'd argue he was off to a pretty good start.
