Chapter 20
Episode - The Cricket Game
Storybrooke
The day of the triple wedding was in effect. The ceremony was about to commence.
Doctor Hopper was standing at the altar. The three grooms were also standing at the altar, as well as the Bestmen. Harry's godson Teddy Lupin would act as the Ring Bearer. Harry had selected Neville Longbottom to be his best man. Ron had selected his brother George as his best man. While Grumpy had selected his brother Happy as his best man.
Then the gigantic Rubeus Hagrid walked over to them.
"Hiya Harry." said Hagrid with a smile. "Good to see ya."
"You too Hagrid." said Harry. "How are you enjoying Storybrooke?"
"It's a little strange I'll admit. It looks like a muggle town, but yet it's as magical as I've ever seen. A true fairy tale in every sense."
Harry then walked over to the Dursleys who were sitting at their seats looking around at everything with caution and nervousness.
"Uncle Vernon." said Harry.
"Harry." Uncle Vernon acknowledged.
"Thank you for coming."
"Well, I do like the town. And after the reception we're going to head out and go see the sites along the eastern seaboard."
After the war the animosity between the Dursleys and Harry just seemed to have dwindled significantly. Mostly because of the newfound respect that Dudley had towards Harry. Vernon and Petunia seemed to follow his lead. Though things have gotten better with Petunia ever since she found out that Voldemort had come back.
Dudley had found himself a nice lady and was engaged to be married himself. Their wedding was a few months away though.
It was then that a young boy of about 5 years old came rushing over and wrapped his arms around Harry.
"I don't think any of you have met my son, Teddy Lupin."
"He's adorable." said Petunia.
They had heard that Harry had inherited a little mouth to feed after the war, but they had never met the boy before now.
Then Teddy's blonde hair turned red.
"How did he do that?" asked Dudley.
"He's a metamorphmagus. He has the magical ability to alter his appearance. He got it from his mother."
It was then that Ashley holding Alexandria in her arms came over.
"Harry, is this little Teddy that you told me about?"
"Yes Ashley, this is my pride and joy." said Harry with pride in his voice.
He then looked back at the Dursleys.
"Guys this is my new friend here from Storybrooke, Ashley Boyd, AKA Cinderella."
"Madness." said Uncle Vernon as he shook his head in disbelief.
It was then that Mrs. Weasley appeared to usher little Teddy away.
"Come on Teddy dear, let's take our seats. The ceremony is about to begin."
Harry was about to walk back to the altar when he came face to face with none other than Draco Malfoy.
"Hello Potter." said Draco.
"Hello Malfoy." replied Harry.
"Thanks for inviting me." said Draco.
"Well," said Harry, "our enmity between each other is a petty teenage school rivalry. And in the end, I think you were alright."
"Same to you Potter." said Draco.
He then turned to the woman that was standing beside him.
"This is my girlfriend, Astoria."
"Pleased to meet you." said Harry.
"Potter, there is something I wanted to talk to you about."
"Make it quick, the ceremony is about to begin."
It was then that Draco pulled back the sleeve of his arm to show his tattoo of the snake and skull.
"It's getting brighter. More clearer. They had begun to fade after the Dark Lord's downfall. But now it seems as though he's back and getting stronger."
This was not something that Harry had wanted thrown on him minutes before he was about to get married, but he decided that it was best that he be told when he be told.
"Thank you for this information Draco."
Down the street from the town hall, Lord Voldemort, his two Death Eaters, Cora, and Captain Hook watched as guests dressed in their finery had arrived for the event inside.
"I think I'm going to reveal myself." said Voldemort. "And crash this wedding."
"My lord," said Nathan McAllister, "do you believe that that is wise? You currently have an advantage right now, no one from The Wizarding World knows that you're still alive."
"Actually that's not entirely true." said Cora. "I may have let it slip to the witch Hermione Granger that you still had an active horcrux."
Voldemort turned to Cora in disbelief.
"What? Why would you do that?"
"Well, I didn't think that the information was of consequence, and I also didn't expect her to live to tell the tale. I had planned to kill her long before she would tell anyone."
"No matter. And to answer your question McAllister I feel that to attend Harry Potter's wedding of all things is something I just can't pass up."
He then walked off in the direction of the town hall.
The two Wizards and the dwarf stood at the altar next to Dr. Hopper.
Out in the hall holding bouquets of flowers were the two witches and a fairy, all being held by the Arms by their fathers and her sisters at the convent.
The doors opened and they started walking while wedding music played. Everyone had stood up from their seats and turned in the direction of the doors.
Mr. Granger held Hermione's arm as he reached the end of the aisle and handed Hermione off to Ron.
Arthur held Ginny's arm as they reached the end of the aisle and he handed her off to Harry.
The fairy, Nova, was held by both arms with Mother Superior and one of the other fairies on either side of her as they reached the end of the aisle and then handed her off to Leroy.
"You may all be seated." said Dr. Hopper.
Everyone took their seats.
The brides and the Grooms faced each other.
"One of the many joys that I enjoy in my life is the privilege of being able to unite two people who are in love in marriage." said Dr. Hopper. "We already discussed good marital advice in the rehearsal so let us go straight to the matrimonial joining. I understand that you all have prepared vows? Harry Potter, will you begin?"
Harry looked into Ginny's brown eyes with a smile and he spoke from his heart.
"Ginny Weasley. From the day I first met you, at The Burrow, not counting on Kings Cross station when I was trying to get through the barrier, you were this shy little girl who couldn't talk to me. You clearly were in awe of me and didn't know how to speak to me or even speak in my presence. Talk about 'selective-mutism'."
Everyone laughed.
Harry continued, "but in time you got over that. You grew in confidence. And it wasn't until my 6th year that I really only had elder brother feelings towards you. You are my best friend's little sister. But before I knew it you were genuinely a romantic interest to me. The idea of spending time with you in a romantic setting became all that I could think about. And you became a part of me. My other half. And you are the most beautiful woman that I have ever seen. And to have found true love with you in this form, my experience here in Storybrooke has taught me that it is a brand of magic that is more powerful than any other. To seize a Happy Ending. And I can't imagine spending another day without you."
Ginny then took a breath and collected her thoughts and then began, "Harry, you are absolutely right. I always was in awe of you. Probably no more than anyone else in the Wizarding world. You were the famous Harry Potter. And you were at our house. I couldn't believe it. I had never imagined such a thing. I had heard from Ron how you and him became best friends, but I didn't really believe it until I saw you. And you're right I didn't know how to talk to you. I mean think about it; how do you make small talk or casual conversation with the one who defeated the dark lord as a baby. But then when I was taken into the Chamber of Secrets, you saved my life. And from that moment on I decided that for all intent and purposes my life belongs to you until such time as I can pay it back. I love you, Harry Potter. And you make me so happy. I hope to never be apart from you again."
Hermione then cleared her throat.
"Ronald Weasley," Hermione began, but then she paused as though collecting her thoughts but not able to, "I don't know why I fell in love with you. They say opposites attract, and if that holds true we are the shining example. But I think it's just that you and I became friends, unlikely friends that we're always irritating each other. But they say a good foundation for a romance starts with friendship. And I think what makes us good together is that we balance each other out. I've always been too much brains. You've always been too goofy. You're goofiness helps me put down my books and have fun. I in turn help you be more responsible. We compliment each other. And I can't imagine going the rest of my life without it. And when you saved my life from the troll in the bathroom in our first year, and then again in Malfoy Manor, and then rallied for the Hogwarts house elves to be gotten to safety during the Battle of Hogwarts, I just knew that you were the one that I wanted to be with."
Ron then began, "Hermione, when I first met you on the Hogwarts Express, I did not like you. But then we spent a little time together. It did not get better. I was annoyed at you and disliked you that you were an insufferable know-it-all. You were always the first to raise your hand in class. You never got a single answer wrong. I was not prejudiced against muggle borns, no, but I was jealous of you, of your talent. I was a pureblood wizard raised in The Wizarding World and I had difficulty with the simplest spells, but yet every single spell came easy to you. There were so many times that you helped me with homework that I just couldn't figure out, so many times I was in danger that you saved my life. Through all of our adventures, you were the brains that held our group together and I don't think any of us would be standing here if it wasn't for you. And I'm the luckiest man in the world to be getting married to you."
Leroy then began.
"Nova. Ever since I was born, hatched from my giant egg in the Hatchery, I dreamed of you. I didn't know who you were at the time, but I felt like there was some kind of fate or destiny that was tying us together. Dwarves don't get happy endings, a dwarf's life is to his pickaxe and Mining in the mines, that there's no place we'd rather be. But the idea now of going down into the minds with my pickaxe everyday feels even better knowing that I will get to come home to you every night. Some men are lucky to get an angel. I get a fairy. I don't want to steal from Regina and Mary Margaret's fairytale story, but you Nova are the fairest in all the realms."
Astrid began, "Leroy. I've always been a bit of a accident prone, a blunderer. And you have always been my hero. Always bailing me out. You saved that newly processed fairy dust from the mines back in the Enchanted Forest when I almost got it destroyed in my carelessness. And then during the curse when you saved the convent. You've just always being this source of comfort to me. And the unconditional love that you've given to me ever since we first met. It's difficult to resist that level of commitment and devotion. You may be 'Grumpy', or 'Leroy' under the curse, but to me, you will always be 'Dreamy'. The dwarf who dreamed of a better life than the average dwarf. Fairies aren't supposed to get happy endings. We give happy endings to others. And I feel like the luckiest fairy in the world because I'm the exception. I get a happy ending, because of you."
"Harry James Potter," said Dr. Hopper, "do you take Ginevra Molly Weasley to be your wife and promise to love her for all of eternity?"
"I do." said Harry.
"Do you Ginevra Molly Weasley take Harry James Potter to be your husband and promise to love him for all of eternity?"
"I do." said Ginny.
"Ronald Bilius Weasley, do you take Hermione Jean Granger to be your wife and promise to love her for all of eternity?"
"I do." said Ron.
"Hermione Jean Granger, do you take Ronald Bilius Weasley to be your husband and promise to love him for all of eternity?"
"I do." said Hermione.
"Do you Leroy AKA Grumpy take Astrid AKA Nova to be your wife and promise to love her for all of eternity?"
"I do." said Leroy.
"And do you Astrid, AKA Nova take Leroy AKA Grumpy to be your husband and promise to love him for all of eternity?"
"I do." said Astrid.
"Do you have the Rings?"
Little Teddy Lupin came forward with a pillow and on top of them were six rings. The Rings were exchanged between all six of them.
Dr. Hopper then finished, "it is now my proud honor to declare all of you husband and wife. You may kiss your Brides."
The three couples touched lips and the crowd broke into Applause.
The couples were about to disperse and shake hands and greetings with the wedding guests before they move on to the reception. But right then the doors to the town hall burst open.
Just behind the threshold of the door was none other than Lord Voldemort. Pale white skin, bald head, yellow eyes with cat-like pupils, flat face of no nose, just two slits for nostrils. He wore black boots, and his black Wizards robes with his hood down.
"Sorry I'm late." said Voldemort with a smile.
