AN: Hi, I'm sorry for the long wait everyone. The reason why it has come this late is that it's getting harder to write this story with the direction I want the story to go and well that I've been getting lazy to working on the story. So, I don't know exactly when the next chapter will be out, so you can find that it maybe weeks or months to waiting to a new chapter. Again, I'm sorry but know that I will never abandon a story and still continue this story.
Chapter 6The trip to New York City in the boroughs of Manhattan to be specific was a quick trip than Emma expected to be for her especially finding the true identity of her ex-boyfriend Neal Cassidy is Rumpelstiltskin's, Mr. Gold's son no less. When she confronted him, she was as angry as she can be. She yelled, shouted to him which admittingly to her felt damn good to her. She tried lying to Mr. Gold to avoid another interaction with her ex and unfortunately didn't take a good answer, so he starts breaking things and low and behold Neal came. She didn't think it would get worse until Henry came back into the room and Neal assumed that Henry's was his, and she shouted to him once again that he is not Henry's father and revealed to him that she'd been to the Enchanted Forest before meeting him where she met her husband.
When they left Manhattan, it was because of the sole reason that Emma got a call from Mary Margaret saying that Cora alongside with help from her daughter Regina are trying to find the dagger of the Dark One. Emma repeats the message to Mr. Gold, and she then gives him her phone to give Mary Margaret instructions to find the dagger and ends the call. Shortly after that Mr. Gold stays in his enraged mood and says that they need to go back now after explaining to Emma the importance of what Cora will do once she has the dagger. Neal becomes concerned of the safety of his father, so he joins them to the town where they all took a plane back to the nearest city to get back home where Mr. Gold drives them all back to the town.
When they all got back to town it was early morning that they arrived that there were only the dark skies with the moon out in the open sky. The sun wasn't even in the sky. Instantly when Emma was out, she couldn't help feeling that something was going to happen. Due to their very early arrival Emma and Henry went back to the loft and get very little sleep that they could before the sun officially makes its appearance. While Neal followed his father to his place and slept on the couch.
Not even three hours later everyone gathered to the diner. With Rumpelstiltskin he rather insists to have a plan and of course the Charming family along with the Jones family insist they come. At the diner Granny and Ruby were there slowly getting their diner ready to open to the public.
"You!" Neal exclaims pointing to the pirate when he sees a familiar face. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm going to help with my wife."
"Who the hell married you?!" Neal still rages on.
"Neal, shut the fuck up!" Emma then exclaims to him quickly, "we are not here for you to shout at my husband with my kids here. We are here to discuss with what are we going to do with Cora." He quickly shuts up surprised that Emma yelled at him to what she says as he then glares at his ex and Hook when he finally got caught of the words that Emma just said.
Emma looked around the diner and noticed that her mother was withdrawn, so she quickly asked, "What happened?"
David sighs before explaining the events of yesterday. Specifically, what happened after the phone call Mary Margaret had with Emma. They found the dagger, but they weren't alone, that Cora and Regina were there as well and turns out Cora manipulated Regina, that she killed Eva, Mary Margaret's mother and tried to manipulate a young Snow. While trying to keep the dagger, Cora got the closest person that is still connected to Eva, Johanna and made her die with or without her heart either way. Though in the end Cora and Regina now has the dagger.
Mary Margaret then states that they will just have to take the fight to Cora before anything that could happen, and David says they will, however, Mary Margaret adds that this time, they're going to finish it. David tries to quiet her down, but his wife tells him that Cora needs to be stopped, "She needs to be killed. This is our family; we are going to protect it!" David tells her that of course they are, but what she's talking about goes beyond that.
For the first time the Dark One agrees with David and Mary Margaret, instilling that Cora needs to be killed. That all she wants is power and they need to plan fast before something else happens. So, they talk about options, Killian suggested to find her heart as Cora is heartless talking about his first time when he met her. Mr. Gold list all the ways that he can kill her, but of course not everyone likes the possibilities to kill her.
He then huffs, "well if none of you like how I orchestrate. I will kill Cora in my own way." As he then teleports out of the diner with the others in disbelief yet not surprised as this was a reminder Rumpelstiltskin is the Dark One.
"I might have a way." Killian says rather somberly. "It's in my cabin." He wasn't confident one bit but if it works, if it gets the job done he'll do anything to protect his family. He ignored his wife asking what he has and everyone around him as he exits the diner and heads straight to the Jolly. As he's walking about his mind drifts apart from reality on how he somehow gotten the concentration of Dreamshade.
A member of the Jolly Roger that goes by Crooks is a cocky man that always has a crooked smile/grin, hence his nickname that thinks outside of the box. Killian liked him enough that he was valuable and helped him in ways he can't be imagined that he could be captain but knew his mate liked being a sailor.
It was another gloomy day at Neverland, sailing the Jolly thinking what he could achieve to do on the island. He rather not be helping Peter Pan however he is, if only for a deal that he'd made with him. To get supplies and food every so and so months. He didn't like it, but he does want to live long enough to go back to Emma and find Clara. He looks at his tattoo he got ages ago and sighs as another idea comes to mind quickly gets squandered.
"Captain," Crooks starts, " allow to speak for permission." Killian nods curious what ideas that Crook has as he only comes up to him when his plan is worthwhile. "Dreamshade."
Instantly Killian says "no."
However Crooks keeps going on despite his captain's answer to explain his plan," I was thinking Captain we can get one plant of Dreamshade and allow me to extract the venom from the plant into this bottle."
"It's too dangerous." Killian stately noted.
"Yes, captain it is dangerous, however it can help us anyway you see fit captain. It'll be a great weapon one day."
Killian sighed as he looked at Crooks. Damn him, he thought. He can easily see this as a great weapon to be used against any great enemy he will have even though he doubts he will have one though. Although he has to keep it somewhere safe.
He sails back to the island and allowed Crooks to do what he needs to be done as he gets wretched plant as he brings it back to this ship. When Crooks comes back safely with the viral flower he shivers knowing that Liam died because of this haunts him back to his very first trip to here with his brother. He can't stop seeing his brother inflicting the poison into his veins. He can't stop seeing Liam collapsing dead just after coming back to the waters of the Enchanted Forest from Neverland. He makes a grim smile when Crooks manages to get the poison into its concentrated form of black liquid in the bottle.
However as victorious of what Crooks did when he left the realm to do one of his duties for Peter Pan, Crooks died. He was incredibly saddened that another sailor has died from Dreamshade. He tried to remember how Crooks looked like when he got the plant onto the ship. He didn't see anything on his clothes that were ripped, stripped from the plant it would've been noticeable as he would know. Its entirely possible that Crooks covered the scratch to not let him know of his fate. He couldn't help thinking that it was his fault. That he agreed to his mad plan to get a very powerful weapon into his hands.
Killian looks at the bottle of Dreamshade with a firm disgust in his stores in his cabin. He knows Emma is there along with David as they followed him. Of course he ignored them even though he shouldn't have. It was just the memories were hard for him as he chuckled darkly.
"Thanks Crooks." Saying to no one in particular.
He hears the same question his wife asked earlier, and simply said "Dreamshade." She instantly widens her eyes and curses. "Yeah, that'll work." She said not even thinking how in world he had gotten an extraction of the plant into this cubed potion bottle. She was not.
Suddenly Rumpelstiltskin appears. " Now this is what I like, it will kill Cora with and without her heart." He then giggles. Then disappears once again with the bottle of Dreamshade.
In a matter of hours later, Mr. Gold announces that Cora is officially dead thanks to the concentration of Dreamshade. Regina was shocked needless to say as she was with her mother in her vault as they were discussing ways to kill the Dark One which was odd, as her mother would've done the simple thing and stab him however she wants to do it special. Wanted to do it as poetic justice however that never happened as Rumpelstiltskin literally came out of nowhere and stabbed her mother with a dagger and suddenly her mother was no more. She even checked her mother's heart that was inside the box and saw what was left, ashes of dust. She then cradled her mother and saw where the Dark One struck Cora, at her heart there she can see a black line on the skin to where the heart was supposed to be at, and Regina knew that her mother died from a very lethal poison.
Hours later at Mary Margaret's apartment every one of their family was there. There Henry asked about Liam once more and this time Killian told the story of his brother. There David finally figured out what he thought was potion was actually a form of poison that he saw hours earlier. He quietly whispered that the poison was what he called the poison 'instant death.' Quite fitting to be honest.
With Cora's death the citizens of the small town of Storybrooke Maine, everyone felt everything was going to be in a peace. That's what they think as the next two days come and go, they soon find themselves more about what the stranger from the accident is still here and found themselves worrying. Until Tamara Neal's fiancé comes to the small town and Emma has the instinct to worry that something bad is coming.
