"Damn it the alarm must've been set off," Ava cursed under her breath.
Tonia gave her daughter a look of disapproval, disliking her daughter cursing but decided now is not the time to scold her about using foul language. The Skywalker family tried finding a possible escape route that can get them off the ship and find the Resistance but so far the docking ships have been closed and there is patrol on every corner.
"How do we get out of here!" Ronan exclaimed, causing both his mother and sister to shush him as they pulled him with them to another wall.
They peeked behind the wall as another pair of Stormtroopers ran past them with their blasters in hand.
"They can't be too far," One of the stormtroopers said as they ran past them, causing the Skywalker family to quickly duck back behind the wall and waited until they were gone.
They stayed very still until the Stormtroopers disappeared into the hallway from their sight, allowing them to step out into the empty hallway.
"We're clear for now," Tonia said as she lead her children the opposite direction away from the Stormtroopers who had ran passed them.
Then, as they're about to turn another corner of the hallway, they ran into another group of Stormtroopers who were right in front of them, causing them to freeze.
"Get ready!" Tonia yelled as they pulled their out their blasters ready to fire.
"There they are!" They hear one of the Stormtroopers yell nearby making them turn to see the Stormtroopers charging at them with their blasters aimed at them.
"Blast them!"
"Get down!" Tonia yelled, pushing her son behind a nearby wall while firing their blasters back at the Stormtroopers.
"So I take the ones on the left you ladies take the ones on the right," Ronan asked as they continued to blast any Stormtrooper that came toward them from left to right.
"And leave the women to do all the work," Ava teased.
"Not a chance,"
"Focus you two," They hear their mother yell as they kept on blasting the troopers until they were all down.
"That's all of them for now," Ronan breathed heavily while looking down at the fallen troopers before them along with his mother and sister.
"More will be coming," Tonia said, as they continued to run down the hall.
"We need
"I think I did see some escape pods around here," Ronan added, causing both his sister and mother to stop, looking at him.
"Where?" Ava asked.
"Where did you see them,"
"I saw them not too far from where we're at," Ronan explaining pointing towards the right hallway, behind his sister.
"Good eyes, little brother," Ava complimented smiling at him.
"Not only will you make a good jedi but you could be a member of the resistance,"
"Really?" Ronan chimed, beaming with excitement.
"Can I join mom?"
"We'll see," Tonia answered smiling softly before they continued running toward the right direction of the Finalizer hallway.
Finally, they came upon the escape pods causing the three of them to smile in relief. However, when Ava got a peek inside, she noticed that it can only fit two people. She slowly got back and began to think of a plan while her mother started punching in the code more likely hacking the system.
"There's only room for two," Ava said sadly, while rubbing her arm.
They hear the doors to the escape pod open as they hear their mother pull back while letting out a heavy sigh.
"I know…I've hacked the systems and took out the tracking devices so they won't be able to track us…"
Tonia explained while running her dark skinned hand through her dark hair.
"That is why you two should go….I can hold them off, long enough for you to escape,"
Ava took a ragged breath, knowing this idea of hers may cost her own life.
"no mom," Ava said, while placing a hand on her mother's shoulder.
"I'll do it,"
"No Ava," Her mother protested.
"You can't..."
"It's okay mom," Ava insisted assuringly while smiling sadly at both her mother and brother.
"I love you too much to see you sacrifice yourself for us….dad would want you to keep going,"
"Sis don't…." Ronan pleaded, as his eyes welled up in tears.
Ava silenced him as she pulled him into a hug while firmly placing a wrapped package in his hand before pulling back. She then hugged her mother as her tears started falling down her cheeks while gently caressing her cheek.
"I love you mom…ronan," Ava said, as tears fell down her cheeks as she used the force to push both her mother and brother into the escape pod while locking the doors behind it. Ava gave a small wave of goodbye to her family before activating the launch, watching them disappear into the space.
"I will find you….I promise," She whispered as the escape pod began to grow smaller by distance.
She then heard the sound of rushed footsteps running toward her, causing her to turn to the growing number of Stormtroopers, blocking her only way of escape.
"Stand down," A loud booming voice bellowed causing everyone to turn toward the voice which surprisingly belonged to Kylo ren.
"Ben…" She thought as she begin to softened, watching the man who is once her beloved cousin walk toward her menacingly.
"I told you before…" Kylo Ren hissed from behind his helmet as he walked close to her.
"Ben Solo is dead….There is only Kylo ren…"
"In that case," She said, narrowing her eyes at him.
"Kill me….take my life….I don't care anymore.."
"I have no intention of killing you," Kylo Ren replied.
"I have something special in mind for you,"
Before Ava could open her mouth to ask what he meant, the jedi killer waved his right hand over her, using the force to knock her unconscious. The last thing she feels is the man in black catching her in his arms before she hit the ground as her world turned black.
