While her soon to be husband is away on the bridge, Ava managed to find some comfortable clothes which consisted of a black tank top with grey shorts that nearly reach up to her thighs, as well as a pair of black panties with red trimming on the top and a black bra. Once she had put on her new clothes, she walked back to end of the bed and sat down. Millicent noticing how sad Ava is, leapt onto the bed, and settled herself on her lap, causing her to smile softly.
"Hey there love," She said softly before gently petting her on the head, earning a soft, gentle purr from the orange tabby.
"Ben where did it go wrong…." She thought as she let out a deep sigh
"Why didn't you come to me….."
Flashback to years ago when they were children
Ava saw her cousin sitting on a rock watching the two sunsets set, walking over to him.
"Hey Ben," Ava greeted as she walked up to him.
"Hi Ava," Ben replied, smiling softly at her as she sat by him.
"What are you doing here?"
"I thought you could use a buddy here," Ava replied, smiling at him in return.
As she sat beside her cousin, they both stared off towards the horizon of the sunsets.
"Ben….what do you think the galaxy is like out there," She asked as the wind blew against her hair.
"My dad says its big whenever her and uncle Chewie travel the galaxy," Ben shrugged.
"I wish I can travel the galaxy someday when I grow up after I become a jedi," Ava said,
"And You can come with me,"
"And try the different types of food too," Ben finished, smirking playfully.
"Because I know how you love your sweets,"
Ava playfully stuck her tongue out which caused Ben to do the same before returning their gaze to the sunsets descending from the heavens.
"Ben…Promise me to not let anything bad happen between us," She asked, softly while twirling the end of her hair, causing Ben to look down in deep though before turning to look up at his cousin.
"I care about you…so do my mom..dad..uncle han..uncle chewie…auntie leia…everyone,"
"I promise," Ben replied wrapping his finger around hers.
Flashback end
"All these years we've been apart and you've changed…." She thought as a tear fell down her cheek, landing on the floor below her feet.
Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard a loud knock on the door, causing her to wipe her tears away and Millicent to leap away from her lap. The door slid open as Kylo Ren stepped into the room, his gaze locked on his cousin.
"You were crying…." He said, his gaze never leaving her sight.
"I'm fine really," Ava replied, brushing off her slender legs.
"You're not fine…." Kylo Ren said, not buying her lie.
"You still believe that the boy you once knew is still alive,"
"He is…standing right in front of me…" Ava said, looking up at him.
"But he's not the boy I once knew…The Ben I knew was strong…gentle..but you….you now filled with darkness,"
"I made my choice to embrace the dark," Kylo Ren argued, his anger starting to grow.
"I told you before…our grandfather is meant to rule and bring order to the galaxy,"
"So that's it…" Ava said, looking down sadly.
"You've chosen the dark side…."
"I've made the right choice of joining the first order but I still cared about you," Kylo ren said as he gently lifted her chin to look at him.
"I've never stopped looking for you and your family,"
He then turned to leave as the depressed girl to ponder in her thoughts while mentally blaming herself.
Kylo Ren pov
As Kylo Ren stepped out of the room, he noticed General Hux standing outside with his arms firmly crossed across his chest.
"Were you spying a usual?" Kylo Ren asked glaring at the red headed general through his mask.
"So what if I was," General hux replied smirking at him.
"That is my future wife you're talking to so I am entitled to know what you two are talking about,"
"That may be but what me and my cousin talked about isn't any of your business," Kylo ren replied, walking past him but not before turning to face him.
"One more thing," Kylo Ren added, as he swiftly pointed a finger at the red headed general's face.
"If you hurt her in any way you answer to me,"
"I wouldn't dream of it," General Hux sneered, rolling his eyes as he watched the knight of ren leave.
Ava pov
Ava heard the door open, as she looked up to see General Hux enter the room while hanging his long overcoat on the hanger nearby.
"What did you and ren talk about," He asked in a demanding tone.
Ava glared up at him, refusing to let him know that she had been crying.
"Why the hell do you care," She hissed.
General Hux growled in anger as he stomped over to her, harshly grabbing her by the arm.
"I told you about that damned tongue of yours!" He growled as his hand squeezed her arm tightly, causing her to flinch.
"Is this really how you treat the ladies," Ava mocked, smirking at him, despite his iron grip around her arm.
"It's no wonder no woman will date you or worse marry you because if they did, I feel sorry for them,"
"Who are you to judge?" General Hux replied angrily, releasing her arm.
"You obviously have never been with a real man before,"
"I'm going to ask this one more time," Ava interrupted him, holding her hand up as a gesture for him to shut up.
"Why did you want to marry me? You wouldn't want someone like me anyway,"
"Oh please," General hux said, rolling his eyes.
"A padawan is the last option I needed to…"
"To bare you kids so they can carry you on your legacy and make your family line powerful," Ava interrupted once again.
"I know because I heard it before,"
"Then stop asking me the same damn question," General Hux hissed, glaring at the medium brown skinned girl.
"Well aren't you a grumpy ol scrooge?" Ava chimed, sticking her tongue out at him in a childish manner.
"Well aren't you a childish princess," General Hux sneered, displeased with her childish gesture.
"Do you always act like that with the ladies?"
"Do you always talk back to men?"
"Why do you have to be so negative all the time?"
"And why do you have to be so difficult,"
"How is that you're a general of the First Order?"
"And how is that you're related to Kylo Ren?"
"Are you good at giving night stands too because that's why no woman will like you,"
"And do you drive away any man who is desperate to get their hands on a beautiful woman like yourself!"
This caused Ava to go silent while blinking in confusion while her face turned red, pale and red again. No man besides her family members has ever called her beautiful well except for a few boys who make catcalls to her, which in turn ends with her fist in their faces.
"What's the matter, Skywalker?" General Hux asked in a mocking manner, smirking at her.
"Cat got your tongue,"
Ava too embarrassed to come up with another comeback or say anything, covered her mouth while walking to the door.
"Don't walk away when I talk to you!" General Hux yelled, walking after her only to be met with the door slammed in his face.
He sighed in annoyance running his hand through his red hair. Suddenly, he felt his heart beating rapidly and his face turning a dark red.
"What's going on with me?" He thought to himself, taking off his glove and placing his hand over his right cheek.
"Am I falling for her…..? No…this has to be a mind trick,"
His thoughts were interrupted when he felt Millicent brushed against his leg, meowing for his attention. He looked down at her, picking her up gently and held her close to him, smiling softly.
"She's stubborn…..I might have to straighten her out…one way or another,"
