A Star Wars Fanfiction 14
Ava sat on the edge of the bed, holding Millicent in her arms as she heard her husband scold her Stormtrooper friend. She felt bad for getting him into trouble but she instantly knew that she is in on this too due to her impression of her husband. She took a ragged breath as she remembered the times they would argue and fight like most married couples do. She even remembered numerous times when some of their fights were extreme which had Hux slapping her or beating her, leaving her with numerous bruises. In the end of each fight, he would alwaus lock her up in their chambers while he left elsewhere. Luckily, her cousin was able to straighten him out, threatening that he will be after him if he dared laid a finger on her.
Her thoughts were cut off when she heard the doors to their bedroom open and her husband storming in with an angered look on his face. He looked around the room until his gaze locked onto his wife as he stormed over to her.
"I hope you have a good reason for your behavior," Armitage said as he stood in front of her.
Ava opened her mouth to speak wanting to ask about FN-2187 but Armitage swiftly cut her off.
"If you are going to ask about the stormtrooper, he has been relocated into another division,"
"I was only trying to make him laugh," Ava replied, snickering mischievously
"By the way I do make a good impression of you,"
Armitage wasn't laughing as he looked down at her with an un amused look on his face.
"I can't leave you alone can I," He said, causing his wife to sheepishly grin in reply.
He sighed deeply as before running his gloved hand through his fiery red hair.
"The stormtrooper told me that you went out of our living quarters without my permission," Hux added, his gaze still locked on his wife.
"If I recall, I didn't need you permission to get out," Ava shouted.
"And if I recall, you were supposed to stay in our living quarters," Hux shot back, glaring at her.
Suddenly, a soft meow broke the tension between them making them look down to see Millicent, looking up at them with an innocent look in her eyes as if she were a child begging for her parents to stop fighting.
"Come here, baby," Ava cooed softly as she gently picked up the orange tabby and cradled her in her arms.
Hux blushed faintly as he slowly sat down next to his rogue behaving wife who is cradling Millicent.
"I see you've grown close with Millicent," He said, adjusting the collar of his uniform.
"Usually, Millicent doesn't trust anyone but she likes you,"
"So far she's been my only friend along with Fn 2187," Ava replied, gently stroking Millicent on her head, earning a purr.
. "You've never had any friends before," Armitage asked, curiously.
"Back at the academy, I've had plenty of friends but I never forgot about Ben," Ava answered truthfully.
"When me and my family went into hiding, I became worried for them, especially Ben. However since I heard rumors of the massacre at the academy,…I was devastated…but I never lost hope,"
She sighed deeply before looking down at her feet.
"Why can't things be the way they were,"
Armitage gulped silently unsure of what to say to his wife for this is his first marriage where he finally found the woman who will be willing to bare his children who will carry on his legacy.
"Things change darling," He said as he sat down next to her, placing his hand on her shoulder.
"You have to let go,"
Ava didn't know what to say or do for her body felt numb with depression at the thought of her cousin shifting to the dark side. She slowly wrapped her arms around his neck, being careful not to choke him. Armitage returned the hug in a rather awkward gesture, burying his face into her neck. He knew he had a lot to teach her on how to behave like a proper lady but also to have her train with Kylo Ren. However, he also wanted to get her to open up to him instead of shutting herself off from the galaxy. Both the married couple pulled back unsure of what to say to each other, while blushing red like tomatoes.
"This was awkward," Ava said rubbing her arm nervously.
Armitage chuckled in reply, knowing that they both need to work on their hugs now that they are married.
