Later that night, Ava lay in the covers next to her husband and the cat but for some reason, she had trouble sleeping. Despite the fact she felt safe with her cousin being around, she missed her family terribly wishing they could be here to comfort her. She wished she see her younger brother's goofy mischievous grin, her mother's warm smile that brightened her spirits and her father whom she had loved dearly and looked up to.

Dream State

Ava found herself in a tall field of glass and bright pink flowers that sway to the direction of the wind. Ava slowly bent down to one of the flowers, sniffing in the beautiful sweet fragrance.

"Ava!" She heard someone call her name making her turn to see her younger brother, Ronan running toward her with a wide grin on his face joined by her beloved cousin, Ben Solo.

"Ronan! Ben!" She cried in relief as she ran to him, embracing them both.

Suddenly, the scenario around them started to change. The flower petals started to slowly decay as the dark gray clouds started to cover the once peaceful blue sky. Ava held her brother and cousin close to her as they heard tie fighter ships fly by them, their hair blowing harshly to the blistery wind.

"It's okay…It's okay," She whispered moving her other hand to rub her brother's head when she suddenly felt….nothing.

She turned to see her brother and cousin have disappeared from her sight, making her gasp in horror. She then ran through the withering fields trying to find them both along with her parents when suddenly….

"Halt!" She heard one of the Stormtroopers yell, stopping in front of her with his blaster pointed to her.

She staggered backward but caught herself from falling on her back when she saw her younger brother and their parents being dragged before the Stormtroopers.

"No!" Ava yelled running over to them.

"Mom! Dad! Ronan!"

Before she could reach them, a pair of arms firmly grabbed both of her arms, stopping her in place. She slowly turned to see her husband, Armitage Hux smiling darkly at her and her family who were now brought on their knees.

"Ava," She heard her mother speak hoarsely to her, tears forming in her dark brown eyes.

"We love you my baby girl,"

"I'm sorry we can't be together," Luke said sadly as he held both his wife and youngest son's hands.

"Ava…..avenge us," Ronan pleaded as Kylo ren made the killing blow, decapitating all three of them.

Ava then woke up as she immediately shot up while quickly covering her mouth to prevent herself from screaming with despair. She swiftly turned to see her Armitage and Millicent sleeping peacefully, making her let out a silent sigh of relief before getting up from the bed, heading to the kitchen. She then walked to the fridge where she poured herself a glass of blue milk. With the glass in her hand, she walked over to the table and sat down, sipping the blue rich cold liquid down her throat. After drinking the entire glass, she gently set it on the table in front of her while sighing deeply as a tear slid down her cheek.

"Ava, what are you doing up so late," She heard her husband ask, making her jump slightly to see him standing near the door way with his red hair disheveled.

"I….I couldn't sleep," Ava answered, still looking down at her empty glass.

Armitage isn't fooled by her shaken condition as he firmly took her shaking hands in his own, causing her cheeks to turn a bright red color.

"You had a nightmare didn't you," He said, noticing her shaking in fear.

Ava sighed in defeat causing her to nod her head in silence knowing nothing gets past between her husband.

"I may look like someone who doesn't care but I know this is difficult for you," Armitage said in a soft tone.

"I'm willing to give you protection as long as you stand by my side if you just let me. I know you're separated from your family but I want you to give me a chance….please,"

Ava started to think deeply, as the faces of her distraught family started to implant themselves in her head. She may be held captive as the wife to the First Order General but deep down she is willing to be strong for her family, especially her father whom she shared a close bond with as a child.

"Promise me you won't hurt my family," Ava pleaded.

"I can't say the same for your father but for your mother and brother, I won't hurt them," Hux answered, sternly.

"Had a feeling you say that," Ava thought, sighing sadly.

"Now then, I believe it's time we head back to bed," Armitage said as he took her hand, leading her away from the table.

"After all you have a big day ahead of you tomorrow,"

"What's happening tomorrow," Ava asked as they returned to their bedroom.

"I will tell you in the morning," He replied as they both slipped in the covers with Millicent making herself comfortable in the middle before all three of them fell asleep.
