Star Wars Fanfiction 18

Ava walked down the quiet hallway, anxiously waiting for her cousin to return from his mission to Jakku, running her hand through her dark hair. Then, she stopped as her face begin to pale with horror as the anguished screams and cries echoed in her head.

"No..No…Ben…." She thought as tears threatened to spill from her eyes as she clutched her head trying to drown out the screams.

Suddenly, she felt a hand touch her shoulder making jump and turn to see FN-2187 panting through his bloodied helmet.

"FN?!" Ava exclaimed with shock as she ran over to him, taking his helmet off.

"What happened?"

"Kylo…The villagers….murdered," FN-2187 panted as he placed his shaky hand over his heart.

Ava opened her mouth to speak, offering to comfort the traumatized stormtrooper when….

"FN-2187!" A familiar voice yelled, making both of them turn to see Phasma walking toward them, angrily.

Startled, FN-2187 fumbled to put place his bloody helmet back on his head, attempting to maintain his posture before hurridly running down the hallway. Ava watched him disappear from her sight as her eyes widened with shock while she mentally begin to process the information.

"Did Ben…no Kylo Ren…killed everyone?" She thought to herself, as her heart started racing.

"So you've realized what he's done," Phasma said, snapping her out of her thoughts as a shiver made its way up to her spine.

"Do you honestly still believe that you can turn your own cousin?" Phasma asked, as she sauntered toward her slowly until Ava's face is close to her armored chest.

"How naïve are you….just like your family…."

"Say what you want about me but don't you ever disrespect my family," Ava hissed, glaring at the tall chrome Stormtrooper.

"I will not let you, Snoke or anyone in the First Order break me,"

Phasma let out a dark chuckle, causing the Skywalker heiress to clench her fists.

"Keep lying to yourself and one day…. you will break,"

"Do your worst, Phasma," Ava growled.

"I can handle anything you and the First Order throw at me,"

"We shall see," Phasma retorted before she walked past her disappearing down the hall with her black cape flowing behind her.

Ava sighed deeply as she walked the opposite direction from Phasma, continuing down the hall while adjusting herself.

"I know I'm the only one who can," She thought to herself.

"I will never be broken…you can't break me,"

She then stopped when saw General Hux standing outside of the interrogation room, clasping both of his hands together. She knew that her husband always spied on Kylo Ren and took joy in hearing the anguished screams of every prisoner captured.

"Hello darling," Hux chimed, once his gaze has locked itself onto her.

"Hello Armitage," She replied softly, nodding her head before walking over to stand on the other side of the door.

She sensed Kylo Ren's presence in the interrogation room, knowing her cousin is interrogating yet another resistance prisoner through the muffled screams inside the room. She wanted to run in there, yell at him to stop but her feet remain planted on the ground so she had no choice but to hear the prisoners muffled screams. Ava nearly let out a whimper as she slowly covered her ears in despair, her body visibly shaking. Armitage sensing her distress rushed over to her, swiftly pulled her close to his chest, holding her close. She tensed up but immediately felt herself in his stiff, warm arms, returning the embrace. As she embraced him, she begins to hear disgruntled voices echoing into her head.

"Armitage is a weak willed boy…..thin as a slip of paper…"

"No, that's not true," Ava thought, trying to fight the voice inside her head.

Suddenly her thoughts were cut off when the door opened, causing both Hux and Ava to break apart from each other.

"The map and the boy are with the droid…a BB-Unit," Kylo Ren said, as he walked out of the interrogation room.

"Well then, if it's on Jakku, we'll soon have them," Hux replied.

"I'll leave that to you," Kylo Ren replied as he walked away followed by the red headed general, leaving the Skywalker heiress alone in the cold hallway.

She looked at the closed door before her, gulping nervously while looking around to see if anyone is coming down the hall. She didn't want to get into another encounter with Phasma who ridiculed her every chance she got. She then walked in the interrogation room where the prisoner strapped onto the interrogation chair, his head covered with a bloody gash. She sauntered over to the unconscious man as she gently placed her fingers on his head, running through the scar. As she ran her fingers over his forehead, the bloody gash began to slowly disappear, closing the wound completely. She removed her hand when she heard the man groan while slowly opening his eyes and lifting his head to look at her.

"Either I'm dead, dreaming or I see a real life angel right in front of me," The ace pilot said, causing her to blush.

"Y..you're alive," Ava stuttered before maintaining her posture.

"I healed you…so you're welcome,"

"Thanks…I needed that," The man replied, winking at her.

"You got a name,"

"Ava Skywalker…" Ava replied, causing the man to widen his eyes in surprise and amazement.

"So you're Luke's little girl," He said, wearily.

"I'm Poe Dameron, Ace Pilot of the Resistance,"

Ava let out a small, sincere smile as a warm feeling started to grow inside her, like the light of a candle glowing in the darkness.

"Now that we've introduced ourselves let me ask you this," Ava said, as she took a deep breath while glancing at the door behind her and back at the ace pilot.

"Have you seen my mother and my brother?"

"Your mother Tonia and your brother Ronan are safe with the resistance," Poe replied, causing Ava to let out a sigh of relief.

"So what's a pretty young woman like you doing here in the First Order,"

"I'm married…to General Hux," Ava answered, fidgeting with her hair.

"Why?" Poe asked in shock.

"I have to save my mother and brother," Ava replied, sighing deeply.

Poe nodded his head in understanding before slowly turning his head to glance around the room.

"You better get out of here before you get in trouble," He said.

"I can handle anything and besides no one can break me and no one can ever tell me what to do," Ava chuckled.

"Your brother is right," Poe replied chuckling back.

"You do have a great sense of humor,"

"Why thank you," Ava replied, giggling with amusement as she playfully curtsied before turning to exit.

"Poe…tell my aunt thank you for looking after my mother and brother," Ava said, looking back at him.

"I'll be sure to tell her that…if I can get out of these damn restraints," Poe replied as he looked down at his restraints holding both his wrists, while shooing her away.

Ava nodded before scurrying out of the room, and down the hall, making her way to both her and her husband's living quarters. She glanced around every corner of every hallway she walked through, making sure not to bump into any officer or Stormtrooper by accident or run into her husband, her cousin and Phasma. Finally, she reached the living quarters while inhaling with exhaustion and relief before walking into the room. However once she walked in the room, she found her husband sitting on their couch, glaring at her with anger.

"So Ava …" He spoke sternly, making her freeze in horror.

"Did you have fun with that resistance scum?"

Ava gulped in fear, knowing for a fact that the angry look on her husband's face meant that hell is about to break loose.
