I DON'T OWN ANYTHING

Touko's pov

After sitting in pool for some time both, I and lyra got up and went into changing room. "Oh, I was thinking of giving you three this" I produced a three small amulets, they were transparent and looked like diamonds, "what is this?" lyra picked up one and looked closely, "these are amulets for protection" she looked at me, with confused look, " after the incident with bianca, I thought that this will help you three to avoid being in similar situation " I reasoned.

She smiled "thanks " she said and suddenly she seemed to think about something. "Well, touko I have one more question " she continued " you used that circle magic or something for attacks, right?" I nodded affirmatively, "but when we came here through teleportation, touya didn't used any circles, it just appeared ".

"There are total four types by which you can use magic, first is something that is inborn, like the way I can see malice, second is free form which we start learning when we acquire sufficient mana, it is not used frequently but it works as building blocks for circle magic, third is circle magic, in this we have ten circles which function differently, their power increases with number, fourth is drawing circles and opening portals, they might seem different but function similarly, the only difference is that in drawing circles you need to draw it or use the existing circle at your basements" I explained.

Lyra seemed a little confused at first but understood eventually. After changing we moved towards dining room, it was silent walk but as soon as we entered dining room, we saw touya cheren and ethan already sitting around the table. Ethan was the first to notice us, he waved towards both of us and called to join in, I took my seat and so did lyra. " Hey, lyra you know, touya said that even we who can't use magic have mana" ethan said.

"Huh? really " she turned to me, "yes, though it is not in great amount but it is there" I said, "we can check it for you after dinner" touya added. I felt good somehow, earlier when touya and I used to stay together, we both only used to exchange our daily routine and after he left ,it was lonely for me.

After we finished our dinner we sat together in guest room and began what we wanted to, that is too check the amount of mana in these three. "Well, lyra give me your hand" I said, she brought forward her hand, I grabbed it by both my hands, a glow started coming, it took just few seconds, I released them and said " your body has about 14 percent mana" "huh! does that means even I can use magic like you all?" she asked.

I shook my head and said, "no, every normal person who isn't a mage has about maximum forty nine percent of mana, for a person to be considered as mage, requires complete hundred percent of it or between seventy to ninety nine percent" I explained. Touya checked ethan's, it was fifteen percent, there was only one percent difference between his and lyra's, still he flaunted about it too her, much to her anger.

'It really is fun' I looked at cheren and asked him to give his hand. He did and checked it, I looked at it, at first I didn't believed it. I checked it again and again, but the result was same. Touya have me a confused look and asked, "what happened touko?" I looked at him, "it's...about 55 %" he looked at me then at cheren.

Cheren, still wondering what we are talking about looked between us, "is something wrong with this ?" I looked at him, I hesitated to tell him. "It is" Touya said ," mana in non mages are upto only forty nine percent and in mages it is sixty one to hundred " he explained.

"So?" cheren asked, " people who have mana between fifty to sixty percent are called as half mages" touya continued, " the mana circulation in normal people are not at all effective if it is between one to forty nine percent, but in half mages the circulation is wild, if something triggers their mana then it will lead to destructive powers coming out of them which even they can't handle, that's why marriage or love between non mages and mages is forbidden ".

In entire history of unova, there were only two or three instances which were recorded like this. If any emotional event occurred in near future that may affect cheren's emotional state then that may get triggered and he may go on rampage. But if he could then how did he managed to control himself when bianca died.

"There is also the possibility that they will go on rampage and destroy everything, hence whenever a half mage is born, they are killed" touya concluded his explanation, everyone in room was shocked, "touya, there might be other way too right?" I asked. "No, touko you know what might happen-" " but, we can hide it".

Touya's eyes widened, " Touko you know what you are asking for, right?" I know what might be the consequences but, " I don't want to lose anymore friends just because of that friend is half mage" I lowered my tone but enough to let him here, I looked in his eyes to let him know that I am serious and if he didn't did anything, I will.

He didn't said anything, so I grabbed cheren's hand and mumbled, " conceal " it is a free form magic that will help cheren for now. "What was... that?" cheren asked, I looked at him and smiled, "this is to conceal your powers so nobody can see your real mana level like we did" I explained.

" But-" cheren was about to criticize it but I interrupted, "don't worry cheren, it might be my own selfish wish but please accept this and don't talk about this to anyone ". Suddenly someone grabbed my shoulder, I turned around to see touya, his eyes were not visible because he was looking down, "we need to talk". I looked at other three, then looked back and started walking beside touya. He grabbed my hand a little tightly, a way to show me that I am doing something wrong. He took me a little further into another room, shut the door and used sound barrier to avoid any outsider to listen or conservation.

He turned to me, "touko, what was the need to use conceal magic to hide cheren's mana level!" I looked out of the window and again towards him, " it is! Touya, I don't know what you want to say but I must clear myself by saying that I am not going to sacrifice my friends" I said, he rubbed the back of his head, looking deep in thought.

"You know what you are doing is considered as crime and because of your special circumstances, you are already in their radar, we can't save you if they found about this" he gave me a concerned look, 'I know ' I thought 'but, he is the only person who isn't behind my title' I looked at my feet, 'it happened even at that time' those horrible memories from my past started to resurface.

" Touya,... if anything did happen... then I am ready to sacrifice myself " I said and went out of the room.

Touya's pov

I kept watching her until she was out of the room. She doesn't know what might happen to her. Whatever that happened to her a long time ago is gone yet...

I looked out of the window and sighed, ' let's wait and watch, I guess'.
