Chapter 1, the invasion begins

We are now in chapter 1, the first full, but the first chapter of the actual invasion, part of the story getting into about the waves and all of that kind of thing before I jump right into it I'm gonna give you the rules or at least not the rules, but the different waves if I can remember them with the top of my head.

Also, be aware that this is all fake. Also, I'm changing the period from the fifth wave from being from 2016 to 2024 current events all right then.

Also, unlike Cassie, I do not have any young child to come looking for like she does with her brother Sammy in the original story that she is in.

That doesn't mean my story is very action-packed.

And I'll start it similar to hers running from something and then jumping right into the actual story itself.

Catching you up to speed all right let us get let us begin.

Breaking force wall

I ran into a convenience store and stole some things filling up the basket of my bike or tricycle fill it up with grocery bags, full of food and essentials.

Grabbing anything and everything that would be useful for me that be able to graduate without it being spoiled was very difficult to do.

Normally, I wouldn't resort to stealing anything, but now I have to. It's the only way we could survive. There was a man with a weapon in front of him. I worked out my bow and pointed it at him, please he said, pulling out his weapon at me it's you or me I said, I will even take your food. The man says as I point the arrow at him and kill him instantly I pull the arrow out and clean it put my wife back into it and put my bow back next to me.

I may be blind or legally blind, but it doesn't mean I'm not a bad person with a weapon for good measure. I would doubt my bat and hit him with it knocking him out just in case. .

I had a lot of weapons, which was good for me. I need as many as I can once I leave. I went back to my hiding place. Normally, I hate camping, but this is the only way.

OK, I'm back to where I can talk freely. We're being invaded by aliens. It's not like those alien movies where in the normal type of alien movie aliens were more realistic, moralistic approaches, and things like that.

I never thought it would be real. I read a book about the fifth wave, but I didn't think we would ever live this way. The others would call them after us.

I guess I got a better give you a better understanding I guess of what happened to me and our world and why I knew what to do so quickly.

And why I would do things that I normally wouldn't do that's out of my nature.

Night camping for example.

Or run from shelter to shelter, which I'm doing right now, and why my puppies are the only thing that's giving me companionship. My puppy Yuki is my only companion that I can only trust animals cannot get the aliens so animals are easier to trust in people.

And what are the five different waves you ask well here they are.

The first is shutting off all of our electronics and electricity, and anything that runs on that kind of thing to keep us on our silent on our devices. I'll tell you more about these different waves as the story progresses.

The second wave is natural disasters, earthquakes, floods, and anything like that somehow they cause all these natural disasters for us.

The third wave is a disease that makes blood come out of your eyes, ears, nose, mouth any hole in your body. It's gross and nasty and it's an instant killer.

And it's passed from birds.

The fourth wave which we're in right now is the fourth wave of non-trusting people it's kill or be killed run and hide and gather up as many supplies as you can like a big giant video game kind of deal.

In the fifth well, we don't know yet what that is but since I've read the book, I know exactly what the fifth wave will be using children as bombs to unexpected people I don't know if I'll live long enough to see that one or not.

Depends on how long I survive.

Why you ask I would know all this because I read the fifth wave that's why I knew what was going to happen. I knew all this was going to happen and I knew all about the different waves and how they work.

So all my survival skills come down to this one book.

But unlike the main character, Cassie, I won't need to do all the things she did because I am not looking for a lost relative. I'm just looking for shelter more than anything else. If I can hide out in the shelter long enough, I can figure out what I did with all my things I'll tell you about what happened later, I need to find shelter and hunker down there for a while if I can find a good sheltered place I won't be found by the evil nasty aliens who are after me, including my ex still alive. I don't know. He's an alien as well. And my boyfriend, the love of my life my fiancé I should say How was I supposed to know he was an alien?

He never told me and that's up to well if I ever encounter him, I don't know what I'll do have to kill him obviously or he'll kill me.

He is a silencer meaning he will kill me in an instant.

But he did tell me he was a believer of the Lord, so maybe his soul won't be evil that would be a good thing at least and his soul will go to heaven and that'll be wonderful.

Regardless of him being an alien or not.

Well, now, I guess I can give you the flashback of what happened giving you all the details of what's happening right now I have some time to tell you to give you my story, and then will continue the main part of our story.

Now I'm inside my tent for the time being.

The day was like any normal. I was up playing games and things on my phone. I got off with my boyfriend's fiancé last night. Had a wonderful conversation with him regardless of the alien inside him which I didn't know about any way we had a normal conversation we told each other we loved each other, and we were excited about all kinds of things the new Hunger, games, movies, and things like that was coming out next year the new Hunger Games book that was coming out the next year, and movie to follow the following year, and the new Descendants movie as well as the book also before it.

Normal right it was great. Everything I've ever wanted for the year 2024 and I'm excited it's the election here as well which makes it also a leap year 39 days were in February this year reading pretty close to getting close to voting day voting and our birthdays, which is exciting we're gonna be 35 soon.

But it still be a while because it's still summer we will get to that hopefully having more plans for dates and things.

After that, I went to bed and the next day by the middle of the day, sirens in the world were going off something was wrong. I had my nightlight on. I didn't have it on right now. It was midday after all.

Maybe there were still more than several months of peace that was it. There were still more months of peace ahead but mother and father were unrested about something quietly August slipped by with my mother's birthday party in September and October's birthday came. I went to vote after that for early voting, the actual voting day is announced now.

Finally, finding out the man that I wanted to win the election then all heck broke loose.

The end of voting

The best person that could win one and then emergency sirens went off someone sore about the election or something notifications on my phone emergency it said emergency alerts. All power grades are about to go down. I repeat power grids are about to go down.

My parents walked out of the house and looked up into the sky and saw this big eye in the sky. It looks like a spaceship that cover the whole world never seen something like it before I couldn't see it because it was too high for me. My sister saw it. My dogs were uneasy the dogs ran easy about it, send a message came across the screen of the TV attention. Humans do not panic or do we don't care but we are here to invade your world. We read out your species little at a time your world is about to end. Everyone started to panic after that message.

They started calling themselves the others.

Panic filled the streets people were crashing cars that wasn't half of it eventually, all the lights in our house went off. Everyone thought it was Y2K. But it wasn't. I knew the first wave I read the fifth wave. I knew it was happening. There were aliens here which meant we were going to live this horrible nightmare I knew what to do. I told Mother and Father to quickly turn off all of our devices. They're gonna turn off the power grid set off our mat our phones and things not to work anymore. I shut them off and all of the cell towers so turn your phone off now I said they did as I was that they were told they turned off all of our electronic devices But before that, they called my sisters and my Nana to tell them to do the same.

And they did, and then the power switch was pulled, and the whole world went into darkness. Cars crashed planes fell out of the sky. Desk occurred everywhere.

Cars crashed into each other.

Luckily, we had battery-powered radios, and we listened to the news that was able to be broadcast if we could hear any, but there wasn't much.

Having power no power means it's going to get cold. The colder months were coming. It was now October November almost December and it was cold.

For light, we lit candles and used battery-operated flashlights.

We had to make sure we had plenty of lights.

A flashlight that ran on batteries, candles, and matches.

Imprinted penny plenty of batteries for our battery-operated things like our flashlights.

And our push lights.

It wasn't gonna be easy we could do this. We can do this Mother said. It is fun to add that we're out of camping or something .

And we agreed to just make sure you blow out your candles before you go to bed. She reminded us.

So all day we would leave our candles on and all night we would blow them out and relight on the next day. We had to eat nothing but cold cuts for dinner, but we could eat cereal or whatever but it had to be dry. It wasn't gonna be fun. It wasn't gonna be easy . We had to throw out anything that could go bad even if there was a lot of it in it we had to waste a lot of food. At least the dogs. Food didn't have to go as wasteful as ours.

And we eat fruit too because there are certain fruits that we could eat that wouldn't have to be refrigerated.

What was salvageable we gave to our puppies? But what couldn't be said we got rid of it in some way.

Are used in some way. We had plenty of dry foods and dry goods. We had to eat them raw like cereal and oatmeal.

The next day was the same and the next and the next.

The first wave was down I told them how do you know about the stuff they asked I read the book. I said I know what's gonna happen. Aliens have invaded our world. I said we have to take caution. Wave after wave hit us soon I said.

They asked me what they were. I said power outage. The power grid will go down, which happened to natural disasters will hit the world three, and awful diseases carried by birds will hit us for non-trusting five children bombs I said.

And hopefully, by their standards, we will be wiped out and they will invade and they will take over our world and remake it in their image.

OK, my family said now what we just wait I said.

OK, they said back.

And that is what we did we waited we waited for the second wave to commence. The invasion has begun.

Ending here I hope you enjoy this first chapter besides the prologue of this wonderful new story the wave of pretty has begun as nothing was done with the pretty system and the fifth wave is in one I'll explain that sooner or later but right now I hope you enjoy this first one the invasion begins the first wave has been happening and the second wave will probably happen in the next chapter or so introduction to myself in the story as well so I hope you enjoy it.
