...Azula...

...

...Azula-Darling...

...

...Azula...Dear...it's time to wake up...wake up, little one.

Wake up.

Azula woke up with a gasp.

"Mom!?" she exclaimed.

...No one answered.

But at that moment, Azula's vision had now turned...dark...

However, there was a light shining next to her right where she was sitting...

...She also took note of what she was sitting on...a bed.

Turning to her right, there was a nightstand next to her side of the bed, with a candle in its holder on it.

"...What?" Azula looked around her surroundings.

Everything was...dark.

Pitch black...shrouded in darkness.

"...Is it...nighttime? Already?" Azula wondered out loud.

Sliding off the right edge of the bed, she took the candle holder off the nightstand into her fingers, stood up, and walked forwards from her be to survey her surroundings.

In a second, she was met with a wall, along with a medium-sized picture hanging there.

Azula observed it for a moment.

It was a painting of a little girl sitting on a chair in front of a make-up desk. She was brushing her long raven-colored hair with a comb...looking at her reflection in the vanity mirror with a simple plain face.

"...Did...I change hotel rooms?" Azula asked herself in wonder.

She looked around the area with her lit candle holder in her fingers, glancing around as she sees that she is, in fact, in a hotel room...but it wasn't hers. She encountered a chair at her left, a clothes cabinet to her left also, as well as a mirror above the cabinet, a desk to her right, a closet at the northern right, and the bed behind her that she rested on. There was another picture hanging next to the closet, this one of the Fire Nation mountains...

"...This isn't my room," she stated, "If that's the case, then...why am I here?"

I remember passing out...and...wait...

Azula's eyes widened. She then looked at her free hand to see that it was still wrapped in bandages. She looked at her other hand to also see that it was bandaged...

She remembered crying...crying like...like a weakling...in front of that woman...telling her that she wasn't alright...

Ai...

...How could I let my guard down like that? What was I thinking? Or what was I even doing? Father would scold me immensely if I ever let any weakness out!

She frowned at the thought of opening up to that woman, Ai.

"...Damn it," she mumbled, "I didn't need her help. I never did! Yet, she insisted, like she knows me. Tch...she doesn't know me."

Yet, she sang that song...

Shaking her roughly at remembering that moment, she growled, "I will not let myself break down like that ever again..."

Before she was about to exit the room(she didn't feel tired for some reason), she wanted to make sure she wasn't missing anything.

She went over to the desk to see that something was actually on it.

...A piece of paper...

"..." Azula stared at the piece of paper for a moment. She reached for it and sees if there was anything written on it. The candle illuminates the paper to read...

...There was nothing on it.

...Wait.

There was something on the right bottom corner of the paper.

Azula directed her eyes to it.

...There was a small message on it.

It read:

Do you feel bad?

Looking at the piece of paper curiously, her face scrunched up in confusion and annoyance.

"What is this?" she asked herself.

She flipped over the paper to see if anything else was written...

...Nothing.

Deciding nothing of value was on this paper, she tossed it back on the desk.

"Well, that was pointless," she said.

Azula turned to where the door is, across from the bed she woke up on.

"I wonder what is going on here..."

Does it have something to do with that Mother Daria character?

As she approached the door, she grabbed the door handle and slide it open, exiting the room.

However...she was now in a hallway full of doors on each side.

Raising an eyebrow at this, Azula muttered, "Must be one of the hotel hallways."

As she walked toward the hallway, passing doors, she began to notice something about these doors...

...There were no room numbers on them.

Not even on the side of the doors...

...Huh. Okay, these would be hotel rooms if they have their numbers on them. But they're not...where am I then?

The inky darkness was surrounding her while the flame on the candle was lighting her way. The black environment felt like it was getting darker and darker by the second as she advanced forward, letting her field of vision not able to see what was ahead.

...One could say it was a little creepy and unsettling...

...But Azula wasn't going to admit that. She was strong. She can conquer anything. Besides, she knows firebending, the element of light and power. She has the superior element…

...And that waterbending bitch will not best me again.

Gritting her teeth in frustration at the thought, she went forward down the hall...

...

...

...A minute passed...

...

...

...This was quite the long hallway-

THUMP!

Azula jumped at a sound in the distance and got ready in a firebending stance.

"Who's there!?" she exclaimed.

...

...

...THUMP!

She jumped again, shouting, "Who's there!?"

The noise still came from the distance, but it sounded like it was getting closer...

...

...THUMP!

That time sounded like it was getting even closer.

Azula was tense...she didn't know what to expect. But whatever it is that's making that noise, she's ready to take it on.

...

...

THUMP!

...The Fire Princess took tentative steps forward.

THUMP!

She paused...but continued to advance towards the noise.

THUMP!

Just...what is doing that!? Azula just couldn't comprehend what's happening. Where she was in this hotel(maybe?), who's doing this, and if she's alone right now...

Alone...

...She...She didn't really want to be alo-

THUMP!

Azula gasped.

She heard and saw a door to her right shook, the source of the noise making itself known.

...THUMP...THUMP...THUMP...THUMP!

Azula, confused, decided to go up to the door and stand in front of it.

...THUMP!

Frowning, Azula exclaimed in question, "Hello!?"

THUMP!

Seeing as whoever was pounding on the door wasn't answering, Azula scowled upon thinking that someone was trying to scare her.

"Oh, ha. Listen, if you're one of the prisoners that's trying to play a trick on me, then it would be wise that if you rethink on playing any kind of spooky tricks on me. And I don't like being tested. Also, in case you didn't know, I am the famed Fire Princess, slash, real Fire Lord Azula. I faced a lot worse than a pounding door. Now, unless you want me to face you head on and pretend you're some scary monster, then let me warn you, I am going to win. Cause no monster is scarier than me," Azula threatened.

...

...

...

"...Tch. I thought so-"

When...you finally find it...

Azula's eyes widened in shock.

Wait...that...that voice...those...those lyrics?

"Wh-...What?" she said in a soft tone.

...

...You'll find...something waiting...

"...M-...Mom?" Azula whispered out.

...Everything...stays...

"M-Mom?" Azula then called out again, a tiny shred of hope in her soul.

Is...Is this...

...Right where you...

"Mom!?" Azula took a step towards the door.

...left...

...it...

"...Mom?" Azula softly called out.

Is...Is this voice Mom?

...Go down the ocean…

"...Mom? Is...Is that you?" Azula asked the door, the person behind it.

...

...

...

...Silence...

...

...

...

"...Mom? Mom? MOM!?" Azula shouted at the door.

...

...

...

"...Who are you!?" Azula asked desperately.

THUMP!

Azula backed away abruptly from the loud pound on the door.

...The crystal tide is rising...

THUMP!

...The water's gotten higher...

THUMP!

...As the shore washes out...

THUMP!

...If Azula was honest, she was getting a little creeped out right now.

...Keep your eyes wide open...

THUMP!

...Even when the sun is blazing...

THUMP!

...The moon controls the tide...

THUMP!

...It went quiet...

...Azula just stood there...waiting...

THUMP-THUMP-THUMP-THUMP-THUMP-THUMP-THUMP-THUMP-THUMP!

Upon hearing the rapid pounding and seeing the door vibrate, Azula gasped in shock as her eyes went wide in terror.

...No...she...she wasn't getting scared...that wouldn't be like her...at all.

She was just...getting a little...disturbed...

"...E-Enough of this!" exclaimed Azula to the door in a commanding tone, "Show yourself! Now!"

...It can cause you to...

...

...

...Drown...

...Then she felt something slither onto her feet.

It felt...cold...

Azula froze.

She looked down, the candle giving out light for her to see...

What she saw was...

...A growing wet puddle of water was underneath the door that Azula was in front of.

Drown...

...Azula backed away from the water coming out of the bottom of the door...

...Drown...

"...What...W-What?" Azula breathly says.

Drown.

The puddle grew larger...and larger...and larger...

Drown.

...The Fire Princess feels like she needs to get away from this door...

And so, she turned to her left and kept going down the hall...

...Never turning back.

As Azula rushed up the hallway, she noted that it looked and felt neverending...

She felt the floor getting damper...wetter...colder.

Her feet then began splashing on water...

What...What's happening? Azula thought in slight panic and fright. Okay, I admit it now, I'm a little freaked out here!

Drown...drown...drown...

She kept running, holding onto the candle holder, just so she won't drop it in this hallway full of water...which seems to be gathering and coming out of every door in this hall from the very bottom of them.

Drown...drown...drown...

Wading through the water, the flood was reaching up to her ankles...

"Stop! Stop, STOP! I...I command you!" Azula exclaimed in a desperate attempt to somehow stop the water from coming. The flame on her candle looked about to go out from the liquid inside...

Drown...drown...drown...

WHAT IS HAPPENING!? WHAT IS THIS!? Azula screamed in her mind, the panic now setting in, the fear and dread that she could very well be stuck here...to drown.

...Drown...

Then, when the flame went out...

DROWN.

SLAM!

Azula slammed into a wall...

No...wait...

It was a door.

Oh, oh thank Spirits!

She then tried to find the door handle in the pitch-black darkness. Once she quickly found it, she pulled the door with all her might. The door was wooden, and it would expand with all the water in this hallway, so she used every ounce of her strength...

Finally, she opened it, but only partially, letting the water seep in through the crack. Once she opened it, she squeezed through the crack of the door she made and then-

"AH! AAAAAH!"

...On the other side of the door, was a hole...and she fell through it...

Down…down...and down she goes, screaming...

Down in the hole.

...Azula groggily woke up.

"Ugh...wh-what...?"

She was laying on her front, her face on the gravel, rocky, floor.

...There was a shallow puddle of water underneath her.

"...Huh...what...?" she said tiredly.

She slowly picked herself up with her hands, pushing her whole body up on the rocky and rubbled ground. Upon getting herself up, she staggered as she stood there, wet and alone in...wherever she was.

Azula looked around her surroundings...but could only see darkness.

The candleholder she had in her hand was gone...and so was the light.

"...H-Hello?" Azula stuttered out a question. Her voice sounded like it reverberated, echoing through a small space...

It also felt cold...and damp.

"...Where...Where am I?" she wondered.

It was then she realized that she can see with her firebending.

"...Oh. Of course..."

She conjured up a flame in her palm, and the area she is in was lit.

...Her environment was just a dark-colored bricked wall that circled around her. The shallow puddle of water was below her, with her feet submerged.

It looks like she was...in a well.

"...A...well?" Azula asked herself. She looked up...

...to see nothing but the inky blackness. No ceiling, no sign of light up top from anywhere whatsoever.

"...Why...Why am I in a well?" Azula asked no one in particular...

Although she did want an answer to all of this...

...Then, she felt a droplet of water fall on her forehead from wherever it came from up there.

And another...

And another...

Until there were just little droplets of water coming down on her body...

It didn't feel like it was raining, it just...felt like water was dripping from somewhere.

"..." Azula shook her head and grunted once a waterdrop landed on her eye, "What is this!? Why am I stuck here!? I fell through a hole, but...this is where it led me!?"

She looked around with the flame in her hand, being careful not to let it be extinguished by any waterdrops that fall down here in this well.

Coming up to a wall, she studied the brick to see if she can climb on it. She reached her free hand and touched the wall to see if it was sturdy, but it felt slippery with water. The princess trailed her hand around the circular wall to see if it had any of that slimy and slippery feeling on the bricks. So far, she circled around the well and came to the conclusion that it was too lathered with mold and mildew to climb.

Damn.

Seeing that that idea was sunk, Azula felt at a loss on what to do...

No. I will not give up...I just got to find a way out of here. There has to be some way to get out of this well...that supposedly came out of nowhere…

Shaking her head to rid of that confusing thought, she decided to observe the well's walls a bit more.

As she looked around the walls to see if there was some kind of secret that she missed, one part of the wall looked...a little loose.

"...Hm..."

Azula inspected this part of the wall, grabbing a brick with her nails. She tried to wiggle and pull one out, using her finger strength to try and pull the brick. After a good amount of effort, which lasted about three minutes, she managed to pull a brick by an inch.

"Ugh, okay then...now to pull it with more force..."

She grabbed the brick with the tip of her fingers this time and pulled it as best as she could, putting her foot against the wall to get better leverage.

"Eeeergh!" Azula grunted as she pulled and pulled the brick.

Soon, around five minutes later, the brick popped out of its place, making Azula stumble back a bit.

"Ack!" she exclaimed, her back smacked against the other side of the well's wall. Glancing down at the brick in her hand, she tossed it to the side and went over to the wall that she pulled the brick out of.

There was a hole there where the brick was...

"..." Azula stuck her small hand in the hole, feeling what was on the other side...

...Something felt like...metal.

Her eyes widened.

Metal?

Azula backed away from the wall and looked at it for a second...

"...Taking every brick out would be a chore..." she glanced at the flame in her palm, "...Well, we'll just have to improvise."

She got into a stance, took a deep breath, and punched a powerful fireball at the wall.

FWOOSH!

KER-PLOOOWW!

Dust and debris came flying toward Azula, but she shielded herself from the debris with her arms.

Once it cleared, Azula looked at the damage as she conjured up another flame in her palm to see.

It wasn't fully shown, but what was partially revealed when the wall was blown open...was a metal door behind the bricks in this well.

Azula stared at the secret entrance for a moment in bafflement.

"Why..." she shook her head, "I-It doesn't matter. If this is a way out, then I'll gladly take it."

She advanced towards the crumbled wall, taking out the last bit of the broken-off bricks from the wall to make the door a lot easier to go through. Once she did, she backed away to see that the door now looked easily accessible to enter.

"Alright...what's behind this door?" Azula wondered.

Reaching for the doorknob, she twisted it and it opened inwardly.

With the flame in her hand, she entered through the door. Illuminating her way on the other side of the door, she was now...on a platform with a waterway path underneath her.

"...More water...ugh. Great..." Azula muttered. She was really wondering what was even happening here...

Just where am I?

There was a pair of steps next to her right on the platform, and she walked down to them, but stopped when slowly put her foot down to the water to see if it was shallow. Upon seeing it was, as her foot reached the bottom, she made her descent to the water, letting it go past her thighs.

She trudged along the water, keeping the flame in her palm high up in the air, so the water won't splash onto it. While she trudged forward, she noticed that her surroundings were all stone-ladened, like she was in a tunnel...

This better not be a sewer...

As she moved forward down the waterway, she came up to a platform with some stairs up ahead where there was a hallway entrance. She walked up to, it as well as the stairs, and went up ahead to the stone hallway.

In the hallway was a metal door straight ahead, but a little up to her right, there was another conjoining hall. As she walked up to the intersection, she turned to her right and saw that there was a door up ahead in that hall as well.

However, she went up to the door in front of her to view it instead.

The door was, again, metal but it had a lock on it below the doorknob. Azula reached out to the knob and twisted, but the door didn't budge. It was locked.

"...Hmph."

Azula went back to the intersection and turned to the other hallway to see if this other door was opened.

As she went up to the door, she opened it...

It was open.

She went inside the room to see what it entails...and from the flame in her palm, she can see nothing much as of yet.

Brightening up the room, her flame grew and grew, and soon she sees what was all in here...

...Multiple holes in the walls.

The holes were the sizes of gopher-rabbits...which was odd...

...And almost unsettling.

Azula though, however, decided to get a little closer to see what the significance of all these holes are.

Going to one hole that was bigger than the others, and this one being in the center of the wall, she notices something...

...There was a key resting inside it.

"...A key? Could it be..." Azula raised an eyebrow, "Would this key unlock that other door?"

Well...only one way to find out.

She reached for the key in the hole...

...until it skirted back further inside of it.

Azula gasped in shock, retracting her hand back, "What the?!"

...Then she heard it...

...Hissing...

Azula froze...and soon backed away from the holes...

The hissing continued...

...Until something came out of one of the holes to her right.

Azula turned her head to the movement...and her eyes went wide as she sees it...

Out of the hole was...some kind of...creature?

...What...What was it?

She tried to figure out what this thing was as she looked at it slithering out of one of the holes in the wall, the light from the flame in her hand deciphering its features.

It was...some kind of...snake...its leathery skin was a blue color, and so was the head...but the head itself...looked...human.

From what she could make out of the snake, the head has the anatomy of a human head, with long raven black hair, resembling her own hair. The facial features even looked like herself in some way...or maybe any other woman from the Fire Nation...

Either way, the snake creature's head came out of the hole and looked at her with its black eyes. It held its head there to look at Azula, probably observing her.

Then, its mouth opened...to show jagged sharp teeth, the upper front of the thing's teeth looking like small fangs. It slithered out its tongue, the tip of it looking like two elongated strips as it hissed out.

If you say that Azula was...a little creeped out by this creature(or is it a spirit?), she would have laughed...

But in actuality...she kind of was...

What...What in Agni's name is this thing?

The snake creature was still staring at Azula, letting its head bob up and down...until it slithered down to the ground.

And then...she heard another hiss.

Azula paused in her stance, her eyes darting everywhere, finding where the other hissing sound came from.

Soon, she saw other movements from another hole to her left.

...Another snake was popping out of them...

And then another from her right...

And another to her left...

...and yet another one above her.

...All the holes in the wall had these snake creatures come out of them.

She didn't count how many of them were there, she just knows that there are a lot.

Backing away from the creatures, she thought she was close to the opened door that she entered...until her back was against something hard.

Azula turned quickly to see that the door...was closed.

"What?" She grabbed the handle and twisted it, but to no avail. The door didn't budge, "What!?"

She turned back to the snake creatures(she decided to call them Face Snakes) and sees that they were getting closer.

Scowling, Azula gritted her teeth, "Okay you disgusting creatures, you want a piece of me!?"

A few Face Snakes had hissed at her as they advanced towards her.

"Well too bad! I don't know what you all are, but I know that you'll all be DEAD in a second!"

Azula then conjured up another flame in her other hand and got into a stance, waving her hands and then pushing a flame wall at the little monsters.

The flames engulfed the Face Snakes and they all hissed out in pain. However, some still kept going while they were burning, while the others that were upfront got hit with the brunt of the fire and had been sizzled up, instantly being killed by the stinging heat. The ones that kept going charged up to Azula.

Damn it!

She then swiped a fire kick at one of the snakes coming at her, killing it, and soon she fired fire bullets and some fire kicks at them, and even a few electric bolts at the remaining ones that were still squirming around.

When she fired off the last remaining Face Snake that was clinging to life, she took a sigh of relief.

"Phew..." Azula bent a flame in her palm again, a cocky smirk on her face, "Tch! Was that all you got!?" she said to the dead creatures.

...Then, an even louder hiss pierced through the air...

...Azula froze as she looked forward at the bigger hole in the center of the wall where the key was.

...Slithering out of the hole was an even bigger Face Snake, this one being red-scaled this time, and being the size of a regular python. Except the thing looked a lot bigger than a typical python.

The head also looked...somewhat familiar-looking...this one didn't look like the princess like the other smaller Face Snakes, it looked like...someone she knows…

...Mom?

The larger snake slithered its way out of the larger hole, passing by its dead offspring apparently, and made its way slowly to Azula.

Shaking her head to clear away any unwanted thoughts about her mother, she gazed at the thing in the light of her flame.

"...Great. So, I guess you're the mother of these abominations, are you?" Azula taunted the creature.

The Mama Face Snake just stared at her, its tongue poking out as it hissed, its mouth opening up, as it looked to be stretching its jaw.

Azula sneered, "Yeah, so what? You're bigger? Well then, I'm faster!"

Then, she punched a fire blast at the snake!

It hit the Mama Face Snake at the neck, which it reared back its neck...and out came its mouth was a breath of fire, aiming straight towards Azula!

Her eyes widened in shock as she quickly rolled out of the way of the fire blast.

As she rolled out of its firing range, she swiped down her arm to create a fire slash, the slash striking and burning the leathery scales on the Mama Face Snake. It still kept going, however, lurching its neck and lunging forward to bite her. Azula dived forward underneath the snake, the creature barely missing her at taking a bite out of her. When she was close to the Mama Face Snake, she made a fire dagger on her knuckles and stab the side of the monster.

The creature hissed violently, its wound pouring out blood. Azula jumped over the python and made another fire dagger out of her knuckles and swiped at its neck. The swipe cut through its scaly flesh, blood splattering on the ground and wall.

The Mama Face Snake convulsed and thrashed around, seemingly trying to keep moving to stay alive from its wounds. It lay on its back as it tried to lift its head, fire coming out of its mouth to maybe shoot out one last fire breath at Azula.

Azula wasn't going to let it as she was about to strike lightning at it, conjuring up electricity, and was ready to shoot, when-

"Azula!"

The Fire Princess froze, her eyes widened as her lightning bending sparked and died down.

"Wha...What?" Azula asked breathlessly in shock.

As the python raised its neck to look at the princess, the face of the creature...grimaced...winced in pain...it looked...hurt.

Emotionally hurt.

Then, it started...to speak.

"Azula...why? Why? I...I thought I was being a good..."

...No...it can't be...

"...Mom?" Azula said in a frightened tone.

The Mama Face Snake looked at her with such sadness...such despair...such betrayal.

"...I thought I was being a good mother..."

...Azula didn't know what to think...she couldn't believe it...

"...M-Mom?" she said again, lowering her defenses, "Is...Is that you?"

The Face Snake stared at her in pity...until embers were coming out of its mouth, and its gaze changed back to animalistic.

Azula snapped back to reality.

The creature then shot a stream of fire out of its mouth!

And almost instantly, Azula charged up a blue lightning bolt and shot the Mama Face Snake.

The lightning bolt shot through the flames it breathed and hit directly to the head of the monster. Once it struck, the skin of its head convulsed for a millisecond, and then-

KER-PLOOOSHAASSSHH!

The Mama Face Snake's head exploded, fragments of its skull bones and blood gushing out of its exit wound as it splattered on the wall, floor, and a good amount on Azula.

Shielding herself from the disgusting bloodbath with her arms, she froze there for a moment, taking a bit to realize what she had just done...

...It all went dark...

"..." Azula lowered her arms, the feeling of heavy liquid on them...

...If she can guess...the Mama Face Snake had no head...it was no more, as it laid there limp...without its head...

At any point, Azula would feel victorious...

...But right now...she just felt...

...Sick.

Her eyes were wide with shock, her mouth partly agape and her breathing hitching a bit while she stood there in the darkness...

...Did...was that...did I just...did I just killed…

...Did I just kill Mom?

...The bile was starting to rise up in her throat.

About to lurch, she kneeled and grabbed her mouth in a futile attempt to stop vomiting, but her nausea won in the end.

She vomited on the ground, not once seeing where she did so...once she was done, she heaved some air, trying to calm down the horrid feeling that she may have...

No. No...I didn't do that. No, it wasn't my fault. It wasn't my fault! I didn't kill my mother. I didn't! I didn't make her leave! I didn't...I didn't...make her leave...

...It was dead quiet in the dark...

...Sucking up some air to calm her nausea, she shakily got up and conjured up a flame so she could see the damage.

As she lit up the room, her presumption was true.

It was indeed what she thought it was...all in all, it stayed the same...it was dead.

As she stood there, trying hard not to look at the dead snake carcass...she couldn't help but spot something...something out of the creature's neck where the head used to be.

Azula breathed slowly, just so she wouldn't start throwing up again when she observed the corpse.

She walked over to it...once she was close, she kneeled down on the puddle of blood and other fluids that were near the exposed blown-out neck.

...It was the key.

The key was attached to a key chain that looked like...a spiral...

"..." Azula hesitantly reached for the key...

...She picked it off the bloody dead carcass...raised it up to her face and looked at it with the flame in her palm.

"...This...must be the key to the door...that I couldn't open..."

...She got up...and carefully made her way out of the room she was in, careful not to step on any dead corpses of the baby Face Snakes(she thinks?) that were on the ground.

Once she went up to the door, she tried to open it again by reaching for the doorknob...

...It opened...

"...Huh..."

Azula just...didn't felt irritated at this point...she just felt...empty.

So she opened the door and exited the room...walking towards the intersection and turning right to the door that was locked.

...She stood in front of the door.

"...Was all that I did...really worth this?" Azula asked herself.

She glanced down at the key in her hand...and then she inserted it into the lock, extinguishing the flame in her other hand to use it to grab onto the lock and twist the key to unlock it.

The lock fell down to the ground.

...She made another flame in her hand...and then opened the door, entering inside the room...

What she found...was nothing...nothing but just two lit torches on each side of the wall in the room.

...Until she looked down.

...There was a barred gate below her.

Below the gate...was a hole...

And on the gate were two barred doors that were locked.

...Azula walked over to the gated doors, the metal clanging onto her feet with every step.

She stared down at the hole that was below her.

"...What is this?" she asked herself in confusion. "Am I supposed to...go down?"

...Azula kneeled down to the lock that was on the doors. Seeing that she doesn't need the light anymore, she extinguished the flame in her palm, and grabbed the lock with the same hand. She glanced at the key and back at the lock.

"..." she frowned, scowling at this lock, "Okay...whatever is going on here...I'll play your game."

She then inserted the key into the lock, and once she unlocked it, she tossed the lock to the side, and pulled open the gated doors outwardly, letting them operate like actual doors.

...Staring at the deep hole below her, she felt like the hole runs deep into the ground...there doesn't seem to be any bottom in sight to the hole...

...Azula took a deep breath...

"...I must really be crazy..."

Either way...wherever she drops down to, she hopes she'll land safely...and she hopes she'll get out of this nightmarish...wherever she is.

...The Fire Princess to a step forward...

She paused...

"...I just...I just want to go home," Azula muttered, "To be Fire Lord again...to rule my country...it's-...it's all I want..."

Is it really?

"..."

Or is it something else?

"..."

Do you want to go home?

"..."

...So you can be with your family again?

...Gritting her teeth, she just blocked out any kind of thought, any intruding thought that would contradict who she is.

I'm not weak...I'm not...I'm not.

As she stood there, she tightened her hands into fists, closed her eyes hard, and kept gritting her teeth...
