Sad and Bad Day Chapter 4

Lily slowly opened her eyes and gradually began to wake up. As she surveyed her surroundings, she realized she was in her room, but felt confused and disoriented She could not recall how she had arrived there or what had transpired the previous night. She wondered if she had been in her parents' room late at night, she could not be certain.

Unbeknownst to her, Sister Lori had discovered her on the floor and brought her to her own room. Lily's heart sank she realized her behavior have impacted family and friends. She sighed and murmured to herself. Maybe it was all just a dream

Lily glanced at her clock and saw that it was 4:30 in the morning. Knowing she couldn't return to sleep; she resolved to prepare for the day ahead. She was determined not to disturb her family any further, particularly after the events of the previous night. Therefore, she swiftly gathered her belongings and quietly exited her room.

As she completed her preparations, she observed that her sisters remained in a deep sleep, and she couldn't help but feel a pang of envy their tranquil rest. Taking a deep breath, she reminded herself of the importance of remaining resilient and facing the day with determination. Upon waking, she felt a growl in her stomach and proceeded to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. As she perused the contents of the refrigerator for ingredients, her gaze fell upon a jar of peanut butter and a container of sauerkraut.

She contemplated making a sandwich with the two unlikely pairings, but the memory of Lynn Jr's cruel words that had brought her to tears lingered. Closing the refrigerator, she lost her appetite and walked back to the living room, where she decided to take a nap on the couch. As time passed, the other Loud sisters began to wake up and head to the kitchen for breakfast. Lynn Jr noticed that Lily was nowhere to be found and reached out to the other Loud sisters to inquire about their youngest sibling's whereabouts. The sisters were all curious, as they had not seen Lily around lately.

Lori suggests that Lily might still be asleep and decides to check on her. As Lori ascends the stairs, she cannot help but feel a deep sense of worry and concern for her younger sister. She is aware that something must be troubling Lily, and she wants to support. Upon finding Lily on the couch with a sorrowful expression, Lori's heart aches. She understands that a heartfelt conversation is necessary for them to better comprehend each other. Gently shaking Lily awake, Lori tells her that it is time to get up.

Lily stirred slowly, her eyes gradually opening to see her older sister standing by her side. Lori greeted with a pleasant "Good morning." Lily reciprocated the greeting with an equally cheerful "Morning Lily, Lori says." Lily rose from her seat and made her way to the door, her hand reaching out to grasp the handle. However, before she could pull the door open, she was halted in her tracks by Lori, who stepped in front of her. Lori looked at Lily with a worried expression and asked, "Lily, where are you going?" Lily replied, "I'm just going to sit here and wait for you guys Lily to say."

Lori wished to speak, but Lily interrupted her stating, "I'm just going to wait outside." Lori's concern began to grow, yet she understood the necessity of restraint and waited before addressing Lily. With a deep sigh, Lori finally said, "Alright, just be careful." Lily nodded in agreement and exited the room to sit on the stairway outside.

As Lori returned to the kitchen, all her sisters except Lily looked at her with curiosity. Luna inquired, "Hey Lor, where is Lily Dude?" Lori glanced at her sisters and responded, "She's outside waiting for us." Meanwhile, Lily sat outside on the stair ramp, feeling distressed. She looked up and noticed that the sky had turned gray, indicating imminent rain. Lily was in a difficult period as she expressed her profound concerns about her behavior towards her family. She seemed to be in a state of emotional turmoil, sharing with a heavy heart that she had created an embarrassing video of her sisters, who had won a video contest.

Instead of feeling happy for her sisters, she confessed that she had selfishly tricked them to secure the best spot, causing her sisters to become upset and refuse to speak to her. As she spoke, it became clear that Lily was experiencing feelings of guilt and regret for her actions. She realized that her behavior had been causing more harm than good to her family, and her sadness seemed to deepen as she reflected on the situation. As tears streamed down her face, the sound of the door opening startled Lily. She quickly wiped away her tears, attempting to compose herself before her sisters emerged from the door and climbed into the van. However, as they entered, they immediately noticed that Lily was hanging back, trying to distance herself from.

Concerned for their sister's well-being, they began to inquire about what was troubling her. However, before Lily could respond, the van pulled away, and they proceeded towards school, leaving her to ponder her worries in silence. Following the unsettling incident, Lily's sisters grew increasingly concerned about her well-being and approached her once more. Despite her efforts to reassure them that everything was fine, they sensed that something was amiss. As close siblings, they understood the need to delve deeper and uncover the root of Lily's troubles. With unwavering support and empathy, they were determined to help Lily navigate through whatever troubling her.

As Lori approached the entrance gates of Royal Wood Elementary School, Lily could not help but glance at her own school building, longing for the day to end. Upon arriving at Lily's school, she quickly grabbed her bag and exited the van without uttering a word. This abrupt unusual behavior caused concern among her sisters, who promptly followed her and caught up. Once they reached her, Lily's younger sister Lucy began to inquire about what was bothering her.

Lucy: "Lily, is everything alright?" Lucy asks with her usual tone, but with hints of concern. Lily looks at her and replies,

Lily: "Oh, hi Lucy., I've just tried a little." After saying that, Lola and Lana appear and ask Lily.

"Lola and Lana, are you sure you are okay, Lil?" they both say sadly. Lily does not want to make them worried, and even if she does express her concerns to her little sister, they will not understand.

Lily sighed loudly, looking at them with a forced smile.I find I just tried right now. Let's just get ready for class so we won't be late," she said, still maintaining the fake smile. Lucy, Lana, Lola, and Lisa glanced at each other, acknowledging Lily's words but sensing that something was troubling her. They walked into the school and headed to their classes, Lucy, Lana, Lola, and Lisa hesitated to join their own classes. They watched their older sister Lily head to class, and the three of them waited. Lily looked into the sighed loudly, then spoke, knowing that no one was there.

Lily: Why do I always cause more problems for my family? I hope this day is over. After saying that, Lily entered her class, unaware that her sister Lola was standing nearby and overhearing her words. Lola was troubled by hearing her sister say that. She began to hold back in her classroom, worry etched on her face. Lola: What does she mean, why do I always cause more problems for my family? Lola didn't understand yet, but she made sure to tell her twin sister.

After seven hours of class, everyone began to leave school and head home. They started to put on their jackets and took their umbrellas as it was starting to rain. After a few minutes, Lucy, Lana, Lola, and Lisa left the school and waited for their ride. Lucy looked around and noticed that Lily was not outside. "Hey, do you guys see Lily?" asked. The other sisters shook their heads no. They looked around but did not see their sister. "Maybe she is still inside the school," Lana said, glancing back at the building. Just as they were about to head back to school, they spotted Lily's best friends, Clyde McBride and Ronnie Anne.

They held onto them and before they could ask a question, they noticed the worry and determination on their faces. Lucy was the first to speak. "Clyde, Ronnie, have you seen Lily?" Lucy asked in her tone, though still with a hint of concern. Both of them were startled and jumped when Lucy appeared so suddenly, and they turned to face her and the other three sisters.

Clyde: Oh, hi.

Ronnie: Don't scare us like that. Lisa looked at them and immediately sensed that something was amiss.

Lisa: It seems like something is bothering you as well. I need to know about your friend and our sister Lily. Both Ronnie Anne and Clyde knew Lisa was correct. They were unsure whether to disclose the information, but they realized that lying was not a good option. After a few moments, they began their explanation. When they finished, all four of them wore expressions of shock.

Lola: "What?" Lola says, still with a shocked expression.

Lana: "I feel bad for her."

Lucy: "It looks like our older sister is having a gloomy day."

Lisa: "Where is Lily?" Lisa asks, still worried and in a normal tone.

Ronnie Anne: "After the bell rings, she walks home from school. I hope she is okay."

Loud sister: "Me too."

Clyde: "Can you guys check on her for me... I mean us," Clyde says, trying to stop the other world.

Lisa: We will. After saying this, Clyde Ronnie Anne headed home, and they were gone Vanzilla stopped where they were. After they got the van, realized that Lily was not the van, and the of the knew as well.

Lori: Oh guys, where is Lily? Lori asked, confused. All four them looked at each other, and then Lisa started explaining everything. After finishing, Lori was confused, shocked, and worried. Not just her, all the sisters had the same facial expressions.

Lori: I hope she's home.

Lori began her drive home, hoping that her sister Lily would be there. about four minutes of driving, she noticed a car speeding towards a large puddle filled with rainwater and mud. car hit the puddle, causing a significant.

That's a splash," Lynn Jr. said with amaze on her face.

Lana: I have never seen something that cool before.

Lana added an expression of amazement, but before anyone could say anything, Leni noticed someone. Lori drove closer to see who this person was and what had caused her and the rest of her sisters to be shocked and worried. They saw Lily Loud, covered in rainwater and mud, with no emotion on her face and looking sad. She had mud all over her clothes and look like she not feeling well. Lori quickly got of the van and ran to Lily to check on her.

Lori: Oh my gosh, Lily, are you okay? Lori says, looking more worried than before.

Lily: "I'm... I'm..." Lily tried to speak, but her voice kept breaking. Lori wrapped Lily in her jacket and helped her to the van. Once they got into the van, Lori sped towards the house. All her sisters were worried about her and to speak to her, but they knew they had to get her home and showered or she would get sick from the rain and mud. After they arrived home, they all got out of the van and hurried inside the house. Lori looked at Lily and examined her appearance. Lily was covered in rainwater and mud from head to toe, and she felt really bad. Lori sighed a little and spoke.

Lori: Lily, hurry to the shower before you get sick. Lily nodded and headed upstairs.

After approximately thirteen minutes, Lily was fresh and clean in her new clothes. She was in her room, lying on her bed, not wanting to do anything. After few seconds, Leni and Lori opened the door and wanted to know how Lily was doing.

Leni: Hello, Lily. Are you doing alright?

Lily: I'm fine.

Lori: Lily, please ensure get some rest and wait for us to pick you up from school. Lori, you do not repeat the same mistake as last time.

Lily: I promise.

Leni: Yay. Leni says happily as always.

Lori: Lily, are you hungry? We're about to have dinner soon.

Lily: No. Lily said, but it was a lie.

Lori: Are you sure?

Lily: I'm sure. I'm not really hungry, just tired.

Lori and Leni look at each other and say,

Lori and Leni: OK, but make sure you eat something later, alright?

Lily: Ok. After that, Lori and Leni left the room, and Lily changed into her PJs and wanted to go to sleep. She was upset about what had happened at school. The only thing she wanted to do was sleep. Three days had passed without Lily speaking much, which worried her sisters, friends, and even her teacher at school. Additionally, she had skipped eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner for three days. Lily felt hungry, tired, and weak. She began to get a little sick. While Lily was in school during her third period, she was holding her next class when she started feeling very weak. Lily: What is going on? Lily said in a weak tone. Everything started spinning around, and her vision grew darker. Lily: I don't feel so we… Before Lily could finish, everything around her went dark.
