A/N: Hello wonderful readers! I'm back with the next chapter. I'm thinking I have maybe three more chapters for this story, and possibly and epilogue.

Enjoy.

I had to walk home since Jimmy had made me miss the bus, so by the time I got there, my mother was already home. I was just walking up the front steps when John pulled into the driveway. I sneered. He got out of his car and smiled at me. "Hello, Cindy. It's nice to see you again."

"What are you doing here?"

"Your mother invited me to dinner. I hope our little arrangement is still being upheld." I looked away. "I'll take that as a yes. Are you going to let me in?" I opened the door and immediately walked upstairs to my room. I heard John and my mother greet each other before I closed my door.

My mother came up to my room a few minutes later. Without knocking, she barged in and said, "Cindy you are being rude. We have a guest over."

"Well then can I be uninvited from dinner, since I'm being so rude?"

"No, you may not."

I fidgeted uncomfortably. I wanted to tell her. Not just for my sake, but for hers. As much as I didn't trust her, she didn't deserve to have another man cheat on her. "Mom? Yesterday I—"

The oven timer went off downstairs. "That's the chicken. I better get that, or it will burn. Be downstairs in ten minutes, young lady." My mother turned and left.

"I'm just going to wash my hands," John hollered as he walked up the stairs a few minutes later. He came into my room and shut the door. "If you say anything to your mother, you'll be sorry."

I was really annoyed with keeping men's secrets. "So you think you're a tough guy, threatening a teenager?" I got up to walk downstairs, but John blocked the exit. "Get out of my way." I tried to shove past him, but he grabbed me, turned us around and held me against the door.

"There isn't anything you can do about this. You think your mother will believe you after the hell you've put her through?" He leaned down to kiss me, but I moved my head, his lips landing on my neck and he started kissing me there. I tried to get away, but he was still holding onto my shoulders. He continued for several minutes, only stopping when my mother hollered saying it was time for dinner. He let go of me and I quickly opened the door and ran downstairs. At least I was somewhat safe in the presence of my mother. I made my way to the kitchen where my mother was plating up everyone's food. I grabbed the plate she handed to me and brought it over to the kitchen table.

John came into the kitchen with a fake smile on his face. "It smells great, Sasha!"

"Thank you! Now, come sit down and eat before it gets cold."

I stared daggers at John as he set his plate down across from me. My mother sat next to him. "It's so nice to be treated to a delicious home cooked meal. I don't get too many of them," John commented.

My mother smiled. "Oh John, you're too kind. I'm sure you are an excellent cook."

"I do all right." I rolled my eyes and picked at the food on my plate. I had lost my appetite.

"So, John, how is your new position at work? Do you like it?"

"It's good. It will be really rough going for a bit as I transition, but hopefully once I'm settled I can hire a guy to take over my old position."

"John just got promoted at work. Isn't that great, Cindy?" My mother asked, forcing me into the conversation.

"Congrats," I deadpanned without looking up. I felt John lightly kick my leg under the table. I lifted my head slightly and glared at him.

"How was school today, Cindy?" My mother asked. You had to give her credit for pretending we were a normal family.

"It was fine," I responded. John started rubbing my leg with his foot. I pulled my legs up and sat crossed legged on my chair.

"Do you have any classes with John's daughter?" My mother asked.

"Daughter?" I said.

"Yeah, my daughter goes to school with you. Do you know her?"

"Up until a minute ago I didn't even know you had a daughter." I took a drink from my glass.

"Oh you must know her," my mother thought out loud. "You were friends when you were younger. What's her name again, dear?"

"Brittany," John responded. I choked on my water and started coughing.

"Are you alright dear?" My mother asked, concerned.

I took a deep breath and calmed down. "Yeah. Your last name is Tenelli? And Brittany is your daughter?"

"Yes, do you know her?" John asked. I could tell by the look on his face that he was worried, not because I had been choking, but because he didn't want me to rat him out to Brittany.

"Yeah, I know Brittany. May I be excused?" I stood up without getting permission and walked away, heading toward my bedroom. Was Brittany cruel to me because her dad was dating my mother? No, that didn't make sense. Brittany had been mean to me for years. My mother had only started dating John a few months ago. Brittany had to know that her dad was dating my mother though, right?

I put on my jacket and made my way to the front door. I had to find out. I grabbed John's keys, which he had left on the table by the door. If he wanted me to keep his secrets, then I was sure he wouldn't mind if I borrowed his car. And even if he did, what did I care?

I drove down to the Candy Bar, assuming Brittany was working. I walked inside and Brittany was cleaning a table. I grabbed her arm and pulled her toward the bathroom. "I need to talk to you."

"Ew, let go of me you freak!" She tried to pull away but I was determined to have this conversation. I pulled her into the bathroom and locked the door. "What do you want, loser?" She spat.

"Your dad is dating my mother."

"Yeah, so?"

"Is that where the 'dad fucker' thing came from? You're mad at me because your dad is dating my mother?"

Brittany laughed. "You really have no idea why I hate you so much?" I just stared at her. Brittany sighed, annoyed. "I know you and my dad are fooling around. You've been fooling around with him since freshman year. This whole 'dating your mom' thing is just some ploy."

"What the fuck are you talking about?" I was dumbfounded.

"I saw his computer! He had all these pictures of you. You're the reason my parents got divorced. My dad is a pervert and you are a disgusting slut. Does that answer your question? So yeah, did I tell Sheen and his friends about it? They're protecting me the only way they know how." Brittany shoved me out of the way and went back to work.

That was why Brittany hated me? She thought I was fooling around with her dad? She had made my life a living hell for four years because of a misunderstanding! I knew how Brittany thought. No matter what I did or said, she would never believe me if I told her the truth. She was right about one thing: her dad was a pervert.

I walked out of the bathroom and back into the dining area. Jimmy and Betty were sitting on the same side of a booth sharing a milkshake. They were the epitome of the perfect couple. Jimmy was such a hypocrite. He pretends to be so sweet and innocent, but I knew the truth. And if Betty knew the truth, she would never have him. I walked over to their table. Jimmy saw me first and narrowed his eyes at me in disgust. "Hi Jimmy. Hi Betty," I cooed. "Having a nice date?"

"We were," Jimmy responded. "If you don't mind, we would like to get back to it."

"I wish I could have what you have, Betty. You two are so adorable," I sighed.

"I just can't get enough of this guy!" Betty responded, squeezing Jimmy as she placed her hand on his chest. Jimmy stared at me, smugly.

My eye twitched. I was so tired of him putting on this show. What did he see in her? She was boring. I huffed as I turned and stormed out of the Candy Bar.

I drove John's car home and parked it back in the driveway. As I walked inside, I saw John and my mother were sitting in the front room. "You're stealing cars now?" My mother instigated.

I looked over at John and gave him a knowing smile. "I don't think John minds, do you John?"

John smirked. He had a way of always looking so puffed. I hated that guy. "Of course not. Just ask next time."

I looked at my mother. "See? All good. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some homework to do." I walked upstairs to my room and shut the door.

My mind was racing as I tried to figure out what to do. Everything in my life was so far out of my control. That rumor had already spread like wildfire at school, there was nothing I could do about that, but maybe I could convince someone to believe me. No, that wouldn't work. No one ever believed me. The whole situation with John was getting worse too. I needed to tell someone. I wanted to tell my mother, but somehow she would figure out a way to blame me, I knew it. I couldn't trust anybody.

I was spiraling. There wasn't much I could do. I remembered from my short time in therapy that my therapist had told me that I should focus on the things that I could control. So I did just that. And the one thing I could control was Jimmy. I had to break him and Betty up. That was the only way that he and I could be together. I had tried to get Betty to doubt her relationship, but that wasn't working. I needed to be more direct. Jimmy needed a reminder of what he was missing.

I never wanted to end my friendship with Jimmy. In eighth grade when my dad left, I hit my breaking point. My life had been hard before, but it had only gotten worse over the years. I shut everyone out. I lashed out at anyone who tried to console me, Jimmy being the main person. I said horrible things to him. Eventually he just stopped trying. The first time he talked to me in years was only a couple months ago, and that was only because Betty wouldn't sleep with him.

I started to piece some things together. Maybe the only reason Jimmy came to me for sex was because of the original rumors that Brittany had spread about me sleeping around. The rumors hadn't been true, but did they become true by my own hand? If Jimmy only wanted sex from me, then why had he been suddenly nice to me right before he ended things? That meant he had to like me, right? So then why was he being so cruel to me now? Whatever the truth was, I knew that Jimmy Neutron would be mine.

The next day at school I was on the hunt. I had to find Jimmy. I was going to get what I wanted from him. Even if I had to force it out of him.

"Jimmy," I said loudly. He turned around, and when he saw it was me, his eyes widened with dread. "I need to ask you something."

Jimmy walked away from his friends and pulled me aside. "I thought I told you to stay away from me."

"Relax. I just have a favor to ask you," I said calmly.

"Not a chance in hell." Jimmy turned to leave.

"Fine. You must have forgotten that I'm that bad type. I'll just go tell your mom about you and me."

Jimmy stopped dead in his tracks. He turned around and had an angry look on his face. "What?"

"It will make your mama sad. She'll be so disappointed that you were slumming it with my type."

Jimmy walked back toward me. "You wouldn't dare."

"Or maybe I'll tell Betty about us. That will make your girlfriend mad. Don't you think? She'll probably loosen that tight grip she has on you. Do you think she'll ever want to sleep with you knowing that you've fucked the school whore?"

"If you say anything to Betty I'll—"

"Or I might seduce your dad. You know, since I'm the type to do that."

"You are psychotic."

"Or maybe I'll go to the police. I mean, you were fucking me before I turned eighteen. That's kind of a no-no."

"Who's going to believe you?"

I shrugged. "I'm pretty good at lying. I can make up something believable."

"You're bluffing." Jimmy rolled his eyes.

I started fake-crying. "Officer, I thought he was my friend. We were supposed to be working on a project for school. We were in his room and he grabbed me. He started to touch me. I told him to stop, but then he pinned me down and forced me to… See?" I smiled sweetly.

"Really? You're gonna make it seem like I'm the bad guy?"

"Duh."

"Stay the hell away from me, my family, and my girlfriend."

I laughed. "Or what?"

"I'll tell the police that you're blackmailing me."

I laughed louder this time. "What proof do you have? It's your word against mine."

Jimmy stared at me, waiting for me to back down. I just smiled back at him. "Do you want to hear my favor now? It's really simple. Won't take up hardly any time."

"What," he said through gritted teeth.

"All I need you to do is break up with Betty."

Before he could respond, Betty walked up to Jimmy. "Hi Jimmy. Everything okay?" You could hear the concern in her voice.

I smiled at Jimmy. "Everything's great," Jimmy said, not breaking eye contact with me.

"Hi Betty," I said in my most annoyingly cheerful voice as I turned to look at her.

Betty forced a smile. "Hi Cindy. How's it going?"

"Great! Jimmy and I were just talking about… how much he loves you. And I just think that's adorable. Well, I've got to go, so I'll see you later." I turned around and left. I would have to get Jimmy's answer later

A/N: I feel like I cheated on using the lyrics a little bit here. They are broken apart more than the other times I've used them, and the dinner conversation about John's new job felt a little forced, but it was the repeated part of the song and I had to get a little creative. I think it works though.

The part where Cindy blackmails Jimmy was the first part of this story that I actually envisioned. From there, the first half of the story was built around it.

Just a few chapters left! I'm so glad that I came back from my hiatus to finish this story. It's been fun posting on here again.

Thanks for reading!
