Chapter 3: The Tree of Might

A large spaceship was approaching Earth. "The planet seems to be a good source for our mission," said a voice from the ship.

"Let's go to the planet," said the captain of the ship.

On Earth:

We see Gohan and Goku fishing near Mount Pauzo. Gohan asked if they were close to the mountain. It had been a long time since Goku had spent time with Gohan. Goku had taken a break from training, still not fully recovered from the loss of Chi-Chi, but Gohan's company helped him forget the pain.

The spaceship entered the atmosphere and landed near the mountains. A seed was dropped from the ship. Soon, the seed germinated and sprouted. Within minutes, the plant began to grow. However, the nature and resources of the planet were deteriorating. Gohan noticed the trees withering, and the water levels in the river were low.

"Daddy, look at this!" called Gohan.

"What happened, Gohan?" asked Goku.

Gohan pointed at the trees, rivers, and animals. Goku was surprised by what he saw.

"Goku, the planet is deteriorating," said Kami in his mind.

"What happened?" asked Goku.

"Someone entered the planet and planted a tree," said Kami.

"I'll take care of it, Gohan. You should leave. It might become dangerous," said Goku as he called Nimbus to send Gohan home.

Goku noticed some ki nearby, so he decided to check it out. When he arrived, he saw a huge tree. "I don't think this tree was here earlier," Goku muttered to himself.

Suddenly, he moved to the right, narrowly avoiding an attack. He turned to see who had attacked him— a person with yellow skin, wearing armor similar to Raditz's and a scouter.

Then, another person who looked almost identical to Goku appeared.

"So, it's you, Kakarot, son of Bardock," said the person.

Goku was surprised to see someone who looked exactly like him. "Hey, who are you, and why do you look like me?" asked Goku.

"I am Turles. What's a Saiyan doing on this planet?" asked Turles.

"It's my home," Goku replied.

Goku then noticed a fruit in Turles's hand, and a few more people arrived.

"Aren't you the one who planted this tree?" asked Goku.

"Yes, that's me," Turles replied.

"What is this tree, and why is it so huge?" asked Goku.

"This tree is called the Tree of Might. Whoever eats the fruit from it will become the strongest in the universe," said Turles.

Just then, Tien and Yamcha arrived.

"Hey, Goku!" called Yamcha.

They were both surprised to see a person who looked like Goku. "Hey, Goku, who is this?" asked Yamcha.

"His name is Turles. He's the one who planted the tree," said Goku.

"But why do you need a fruit to become stronger in the universe? You can train and become stronger," Goku asked.

"A low-class warrior like you can't understand it," Turles replied.

"I think you need to stop this, leave this planet, and never come back. There's life on this planet, and they'll all die if you don't stop it," said Goku.

"There's nothing you can do to stop me," said Turles.

Goku fired a Kamehameha at the tree, but it didn't even scratch it.

"See? Your attempts are futile," Turles said.

"No matter what happens, we will stop you," Goku declared.

Turles ate the fruit, and his strength increased. Goku went to fight him, while Tien and Yamcha took care of the others.

It took little time for Yamcha and Tien to defeat the weaker fighters, but they still weren't able to overpower Turles, who was playing with Goku.

Goku landed a right hook on Turles, but Turles dodged it and countered with a left hook, knocking Goku back.

As Goku recoiled from the surprise left hook, his vision blurred momentarily, but his Saiyan resilience kicked in. He quickly regained his composure and wiped the blood from his lip. Turles smirked, feeling confident after landing the clean hit.

"You're slower than I expected, Kakarot," Turles taunted, his eyes gleaming with dark amusement.

Goku's expression hardened, his energy rising as he gritted his teeth. "I'm just getting warmed up."

With a burst of speed, Goku dashed forward, throwing a barrage of punches at Turles. However, Turles was quick to react, dodging and parrying most of the blows. He twisted around Goku's fist, attempting to land another strike to Goku's side, but Goku anticipated the move and blocked it with his forearm, following up with a powerful kick to Turles's chest.

Turles staggered back, a grin still on his face. "Not bad, Kakarot. But you'll need more than that to beat me."

Goku's aura flared as he powered up. His determination to protect his home wouldn't allow him to back down, not after Turles had mocked his strength. "Kamehameha!" he shouted, unleashing a massive energy wave straight toward his foe.

Turles smirked but didn't dodge. Instead, he powered up his own energy. "I'll show you the power of the Tree of Might!" With a roar, he gathered his energy, preparing to counter Goku's attack with a blast of his own.

The two energy waves collided in an explosion of light, shaking the very ground beneath them. The outcome of this clash would determine who would gain the upper hand in their fierce battle.

No matter what Goku did, he couldn't match Turles's power, so he accessed Ikari. His power increased tenfold, which didn't go unnoticed by Turles. His scouter beeped. "Hmm, 60,000. Not bad. But you need more strength to defeat me," said Turles.

Goku gave Turles a better fight, but it wasn't enough. Turles was toying with him. He delivered a gut punch to Goku, making him spit blood. Goku didn't give up, though. He fought back, but Turles beat him relentlessly, throwing him down.

Goku was writhing in pain, unable to stand. Turles was waiting for the tree to bear fruit. Just then, Turles was attacked by Tien and Yamcha.

Turles swatted them away easily, like flies. However, he decided to play with them until the fruit was ready.

Goku, unable to move, remembered his promise to Chi-Chi, but he was too weak to act. Then, someone placed a bean in his mouth. Goku took it without thinking. When he opened his eyes, he saw Gohan.

"Gohan, what are you doing here? It's dangerous! Didn't I tell you to go home?" asked Goku.

"But you're hurt! I wanted to help you," said Gohan.

Goku stood up. "Thanks, Gohan, but you should leave."

Turles noticed that Goku had gotten up. He was surprised to see Goku standing with a kid beside him, but he didn't care. When he looked back at the tree, the fruit was gone. He saw Gohan handing it to Goku.

Gohan gave a fruit to Goku. "Daddy, take this," said Gohan.

"What is this, Gohan?" asked Goku.

"It's the fruit from the tree," said Gohan.

Goku held the fruit in this hand he hesitated to eat it he wanted to become strong in his own terms "come on daddy eat it you need to be strong to protect us and this planet" said Gohan.

As Goku held the fruit in his hand, he looked down at Gohan, the weight of his son's words sinking in. Goku had always prided himself on gaining strength through his own efforts, but in that moment, the reality of the situation hit him. He needed the power, and he needed it now. Gohan's plea stirred something deep within him so he took a bite.

"NO!" Turles roared, his eyes burning with rage. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. The very fruit he had worked so hard to cultivate and protect—the Tree of Might's fruit—was now in the hands of someone else, and it enraged him beyond measure.

Before Goku could even react, Turles launched himself at Gohan with brutal speed. The aura around Turles flared to an explosive intensity, and he raised a clenched fist, aiming directly for Gohan, a cold snarl on his face.

"How dare you?! That fruit is MINE!" Turles shouted, his voice filled with venom.

Goku's heart skipped a beat as he saw Turles charging at Gohan. "Gohan, no!" he yelled, his voice strained.

Before Goku could react, Turles launched himself at Gohan with brutal speed. His aura flared intensely, and he raised a clenched fist, aiming directly for Gohan.

With a sickening crash, Turles's fist slammed toward Gohan with the intent to kill. But just as the attack was about to land, Goku, fueled by instinct and love for his son, pushed himself beyond his limits. He surged with the power from the fruit, stepping in between Turles and Gohan.

With a shout, Goku blocked Turles's punch with a powerful arm. The impact sent shockwaves through the ground, but Goku stood tall, filled with determination.

"Stay away from my son!" Goku shouted, his voice filled with fury and protectiveness.

The ground trembled beneath them as Goku stood strong, despite his injuries. His eyes burned with the will to protect his family and the planet. Turles narrowed his eyes.

"You… you're not the same anymore," Turles growled, his anger mingled with unease.

Goku's voice was fierce as he raised his hand. "You want to take my family's future from me? You'll have to get through me first."

Goku powered up, his energy flaring. He accessed an unknown form, surrounded by a golden aura with a hint of red. His power increased twenty-fivefold, and the fruit's power further amplified it. A bluish aura mixed with gold surrounded him.

Gohan went to help Tien and Yamcha. He gave them a Senzu Bean, and they recovered quickly.

"Do you know what happened to Goku?" asked Yamcha.

"No, it might be because of the fruit he ate," said Tien.

"Or it could be because he's an alien. Maybe it's a special power for his race," said Yamcha.

They watched the fight. Turles had been winning, but now, the gap between them had closed. Goku was overpowering Turles.

As the chaotic energy of Goku's False Super Saiyan form surged around him, the battle's tide began to shift dramatically. Turles, who had once been in full control of the fight, now found himself struggling to keep up with Goku's relentless onslaught.

The gap between their strengths was narrowing rapidly. Goku's strikes, once slow and predictable, were now landing with incredible force. Each punch, each kick, each blast of energy felt like a battering ram crashing against Turles' defenses. The raw, wild energy of the False Super Saiyan form seemed to overwhelm Turles' once-pristine composure.

Turles stumbled back, barely managing to block a rapid barrage of blows from Goku. His own energy was flickering, and his scouter, which had previously beeped in alarm as Goku's power surged, now began to malfunction. The numbers were rising too quickly for Turles to track.

"This... this can't be happening!" Turles gritted his teeth, trying to regain his footing. His mind raced, but his body was starting to fail him. The damage from the earlier battle, combined with the overwhelming strength Goku was now unleashing, was wearing him down.

Goku, his eyes burning with intensity, powered through the wild fluctuations of his transformation. Each punch landed with more accuracy and precision. With every blow, the difference in their power became more and more apparent.

"You're not going to win this time, Turles," Goku growled, his voice harsh but full of determination. "You hurt my family, you threatened this planet... and I'm not going to let that slide."

In a flash, Goku launched himself at Turles, delivering a crushing blow to his stomach. Turles gasped for breath, his body reeling from the sheer force. Goku followed up with a knee to Turles' face, sending him flying backward, crashing into the dirt.

Turles struggled to his feet, coughing up blood. His chest heaved as he tried to catch his breath, but Goku was already upon him again, moving faster than ever before. He didn't give Turles a chance to recover.

"Come on, Turles! You've been boasting about power, yet here you are—barely able to stand!" Goku taunted, his power rising again.

With a roar, Goku unleashed a devastating wave of energy from his hands, sending it directly at Turles. The blast was so intense that it sent shockwaves through the area, ripping up the ground beneath them and leaving nothing but destruction in its wake.

Turles, weakened and dazed, tried to dodge, but it was too late. The energy beam collided with him, engulfing him in an explosion of light. The force of the blast consumed Turles, leaving no trace of him.

Goku stood amidst the smoke and dust, his breathing heavy but his resolve clear. His energy, though still erratic, was far beyond what it had been earlier. The False Super Saiyan form had bridged the gap in power, and Goku's overwhelming fury and desperation had taken control.

As the dust began to settle, Goku stared at the spot where Turles had landed, waiting for any sign of movement. Gohan, standing just behind him, watched with wide eyes, worried but also relieved that his father had gained the upper hand.

"Daddy, you did it!" Gohan said, his voice filled with awe and relief.

Goku didn't answer immediately. His form was still flickering between unstable surges of energy, but he couldn't help the small smile that crept onto his face. "Yeah, Gohan... I did."

"What about this tree?" asked Gohan.

Goku turned his attention to the massive tree that had caused so much destruction. With a single motion, he raised his hand and released a devastating energy blast. The tree was obliterated in an instant, its massive roots and branches crumbling into nothingness.

The planet began to restore itself as the harmful influence of the tree disappeared. Trees began to regain their vitality, rivers refilled, and the atmosphere began to stabilize.

Goku turned to the remaining members of Turles's group, who were watching him fearfully. "Leave. You're no match for me. If you value your lives, you should leave this planet now."

They didn't hesitate. Terrified of Goku's newfound power, they quickly retreated, fleeing the planet without a word.

After some time, Goku noticed that the power from the fruit had begun to fade. "So the power from the fruit is temporary," he said to himself.

"But some of the power is still in you," said Tien, who had joined Goku and Gohan after helping to take down the other foes.

"You're right, Tien," Goku replied, glancing down at his hands, which still radiated some residual power from the fruit.

"Let's go home. I'm starving," Goku said with a grin.

The group made their way back to Capsule Corp, where they explained everything that had happened to Bulma.

"Gohan, don't you know how dangerous that was?" Bulma scolded, her worry apparent.

"Sorry, but I wanted to help Daddy," Gohan said sheepishly.

Bulma softened her tone and smiled. "Next time, be more careful."

A few weeks later, Goku was training at Capsule Corp in the gravity room, which Bulma had built after Goku explained how the gravity in the Time Chamber differed from Earth's. She had designed a gravity chamber to help him train more effectively.

Goku was meditating to access the power he used against Turles when he heard the sound of the door opening. He opened his eyes and saw Gohan standing in front of him.

"Hello, Gohan. What do you want?" Goku asked.

"Can you teach me how to fight like you?" Gohan asked eagerly.

Goku was surprised. "Why do you want to fight like me, Gohan?"

"I want to help you whenever you fight. I don't want to be useless in a fight. If we both fight together, we can easily defeat anyone, and we can save people," Gohan explained.

Goku thought for a moment before smiling. "Okay, I'll train you, but remember, it won't be easy."

"I'll train hard and become stronger than you!" Gohan said confidently.

Goku chuckled and ruffled Gohan's hair. "I know, son. You will be stronger than me one day.

For the next week, Goku and Gohan stuck to a rigorous training schedule. Each morning, Goku would lead Gohan through a series of intense physical exercises designed to strengthen his body and get him accustomed to the 10x Earth gravity. The afternoon was reserved for rest and more mental training, where Goku would teach Gohan about ki sensing, focusing on developing his awareness of energy.

The first few days were difficult for Gohan. The gravity was still a challenge, even though it was set to just 10 times Earth's normal gravity. His body was constantly straining under the pressure, but Goku pushed him to keep going.

"Focus on your movements, Gohan! Try not to think about the gravity too much. Just move as if you're on Earth, and let your body adjust naturally!" Goku shouted as he demonstrated a series of quick strikes and dodges in the air.

Gohan tried to follow suit, lifting his limbs in the air, only to feel the weight bearing down on him with every movement. His legs buckled a few times, and he grunted with each attempt to throw a punch or kick. But Goku was relentless. He knew this wasn't just about building strength, but also about teaching Gohan discipline.

After a few more repetitions of squats, lunges, and rapid movement drills, Goku noticed Gohan's posture becoming stronger. His strikes were more controlled, and his breathing had become steadier despite the heavy pressure. Goku smiled proudly.

"You're improving, Gohan. Keep it up," Goku encouraged.

They spent the rest of the morning working on speed and endurance, with Goku making sure that Gohan's form was perfect. By the end of the session, Gohan was drenched in sweat but was already starting to feel like his body was getting used to the gravity.

In the afternoons, when Gohan's muscles were sore from the morning's workout, Goku would shift the focus to mental training—specifically, teaching Gohan how to sense ki.

The first few days, Goku started with the basics. They sat cross-legged in outside the capsule corp Goku thought it would be better in a pleasant atmosphere, the sound of Goku's voice the only thing breaking the silence.

"Okay, Gohan, the key to sensing ki is to feel the energy inside you. First, you need to calm your mind. It's like listening to a quiet sound you can't quite hear yet. But it's there, and once you learn to focus on it, you'll be able to feel everything around you," Goku explained.

Gohan closed his eyes, trying to clear his mind. He could feel the weight of the gravity pressing down on him, but he tried to block it out. Slowly, he began to relax his breathing, focusing only on the energy within him. At first, it was frustrating; all he could feel was his own ki, a faint pulse deep within his chest.

"Don't rush it, Gohan. The ki is always there. You just have to listen to it," Goku said calmly, sitting beside him with his eyes closed. "Try to sense my energy."

Gohan sat quietly for a while, trying to block out distractions. On the third day of training, something clicked. He felt the faintest trace of energy in the room, a soft hum that wasn't his own. His eyes snapped open, startled.

"I think I felt something, Dad!" Gohan said, excitement creeping into his voice.

Goku grinned. "That's it! You're getting it. The first step is learning to differentiate your ki from the rest of the energy in the room. Keep focusing, and you'll start feeling more of it."

For the next few days, Goku would sit with Gohan, guiding him as he tried to sense more. They practiced in silence, and each day, Gohan's awareness grew. He could feel Goku's presence even when his father moved away, and he could sense the fluctuations of his own energy more clearly. The connection between his body and his ki was becoming stronger.

By the end of the week, Gohan could consistently sense Goku's ki and even begin to detect subtle movements in the room, such as the small shifts in energy when a rock fell or when a gust of wind blew past the chamber.

After a full week of intense training, both physical and mental, Gohan was exhausted but proud of his progress. His body had become stronger, more resilient to the increased gravity, and he was beginning to sense ki with growing accuracy.

"Dad, I can feel your energy even when you're far away!" Gohan said, grinning.

Goku nodded, proud of his son's efforts. "Great job, Gohan. You're doing awesome. You've got the basics down, but there's still a long way to go."

"But I'm getting stronger every day, right?" Gohan asked, his voice full of determination.

"You sure are," Goku said, placing a hand on his son's shoulder. "Remember, the key to growing stronger is not just about power. It's about focus, control, and learning to trust in yourself. You've got all the potential in the world, Gohan. We'll keep training, and soon you'll be ready for whatever challenges come our way."

Gohan smiled, feeling a renewed sense of confidence. This week had been tough, but it had also been a week of immense growth. With his father by his side, Gohan knew he could become stronger, faster, and more in tune with the energy that flowed through him.

What surprised Goku the most was he was strong for a kid stronger even when he was a kid Goku was amazed and proud to see Gohan had a greater potential than him.
