Something Faith thought was cool but realised wouldn't affect Glorificus or the much stronger Illyria who will arrive years after her.
Dawn however would be alot stronger by then and she was scrappy too, she had managed to weasel her way outta a few of the tighter holds and Buffy couldn't help but admire her tenacity. although she was a little annoyed when she had told her William was going to be a great practice dummy to grind on, but she just ignored it and made her grip tighter which translated to the youthful brunette quickly enough that she had no want or need to hear that.

"Ya missed her eh! a couple of days away from ya wife must be hell. maybe give Ruby a quick slap for stealing her away for her 'Drusilla becomes a real girl' plan again" William opened the chcolates for Dawn and fed her in an admittedly cute way but Buffy just sipped her coffee before responding with her own question.
"Would you consider it? becoming a man again? William sighed and thought about what she said before finding the words he was looking for. "Well, Ruby knew you were gonna be cranky and warned everyone to behave and help you out... ya think it's strange your mother took you shopping twice in a week for whatever you want? Williams idea and Dawn was on her best behavior cause i promised her a higher ranked bounty hunt for our next job back home" Faith loved it when Buffy pouted but she also knew Buffy was only annoyed because the people she loved knew her so well that they could plan around her outbursts so successfully.
"Well... mum wanted to take me book shopping but got a bit angry when i said that was our thing... same as my photography or our sketchbooks, your beautiful poetry." Buffy used her thumb to brush her wifes supple cheek and kiss her lips for a chaste embrace before speaking again.
"It took us so long to be one, so long to be married and build our life together... we even have a daughter related to us both by blood! but our hobbies, the things thwt make us... us. i read with you even though there's so much great sci-fi out there because i want to, i adore doing so" Buffy leaned into Faiths chest and noted it smelled like her favourite cherry oil that really made her feel more like her wife every time she smelt the sweet taste upon her gleaming white skin.
"It took me so long to find you, the person who understand me, loves me even though i fuck up so much... i fell for you at first sight and after we got over our own stupid bullshit we kinda melded together like we were always one person. it hurts when you're gone... sleeping alone is, it's hard and i havent slept more than an hour or two every night you were gone" Buffy admitted to herself more than just Faith, her frown at the news her wife hadn't slept was understandable at this point.
"B, i had trouble sleeping too but, but we have to do these things or the future is gonna be hard... i wasn't just getting the blood for Drusilla... we both know i did it for Dawn and her future with William." Faith held Buffy tighter.
"Right now we're training hard, learning crazy magics from a great women who puts the strongest here to shame... she couldn't dimension jump when we met her but she learned because we needed her. when Glory gets here, we can beat it... but we have to fight hard together or we can't go home and leave this place safe behind us forever" Faith let Buffy go and walked over to finish cleaning up where Buffy had left off.
Buffy watched her clean up and was very happy to watch her bend over in front of her and Faith was well aware as she did alot of it slow and on purpose to give her wife the best possible view. "when we go home... will you let me read to you honey? pride and..." Buffy didn't even get to finish her sentence as Faith answered her with an obvious sigh of relief.
"I thought you'd never ask! lets go now, i wanna get into so comfy clothes and enjoy you reading to me on the porch like usual. i love it when we watch the sunset together and read... i also think the neighbours spy on us a little bit but hell their just jealous i bagged the hottest blonde in land" Faith grabbed her hand unlocked the door and was almoat out of the magic box before anyone noticed they were even in the room.
"Going home, reading books! don't bother us for the evening, bye!!!" Buffy told everyone as the door to the magic box swung open and they dissapeared into the evening light and no kne got to say a word in defiance as the door slammed shut and everyone was left behind, the slayers hadn't even noticed Willow and Tara talking to Ruby by the cash register.
"Uhhh, that's my best friend who just shot out the door and the taller brunette is her wife... kinda think she didn't notice any of us though? their kinda blind to anyone else existing when they have that look in their eyes" Willow gave Tara a look that made the shy girl realise her best friend could be a bit too overly focused on her wife and ignore everyone else but Tara loved the idea that her new girlfriends best friend was a married and devoted lesbian.
"She... she's married? W-wow... i've never met married lesbian witches... or just married lesbians really, it's neat" Tara stuttered a little but Willow thought it was cute and held her hand nervously in front of everyone as all of this was still new and scary to her. Buffy was the one who made her realise she was bisexual and then Tara appeared as if from nowhere to really drive the point home.
"Yeah, they got trapped in another dimension and well Faith was there for little over a year before Buffy arrived, so she grew up quick and they made it clear that the two years they spent away together lewd to alot of truth telling and boom! they got hitched! they only came back to kill a god anyway, next year they'll be back home and we'll be still stupid and all in love by then" Willow cheered happily to herself as Tara blushed at how sure Willow was over them being still together a long time in the future as if all this wasn't brand new to them both.
Dawn was listening in with William and couldn't help but let out a snicker before a low whisper behind the book shelves. "That abridged retelling of my mothers love for each other really doesn't do it any justice at all... William lets go to your place and have a movie night" Dawns idea made William grin a cocky english smile and Dawn rolled her eyes as she leaned in and whispered inside his ear with a soft a breathy voice echoing through his mind.
"Be a good boyfriend and you'll even get to massage my shoulders... among other things... if you're well behaved, love" Dawn said the last word as he usually would but put her own femimine twist on it that she could tell was causing his jeans to swell in anticipation.
William smiled and they also dissapeared into the evening and barely said their goodbyes and yet none of them knew that next week a bounty would pop up that would test them all in anticipation for Glorys arrival. another god was too appear and Al-Kufir was going to be far from safe.
