Chapter Four

Lynara walked beside her brother as he led her to where Haruka's room was. He had already shown her where his room was so that she could seek him out if she needed him. Dinner had been interesting and just watching them all interact made her happy for her brother. "You want to know why my magic reacted to Natsuki don't you leo." She knew it had been on his mind since he had first noticed it.

"The thought crossed my mind lyra. I don't think anyone else noticed but I also think that you sparked Natsuki's interest in you." He gripped her hand tightly as he walked beside her. The thought of anyone being interested so soon in his sister turned his stomach. Not because he didn't want her to be happy, but because she was still healing and he didn't want her heart broken.

"Leo there is no need to worry. Natsuki is my magical soulmate. Magic chose him for me because we are perfect matches. But I won't be looking to date anytime soon. He and I can get to know one another as just friends for now." She was far too broken to even think of romance. Lynara was pretty sure that no matter what she said Ren would no doubt find Natsuki and lay down the law. She should try and stop him but she won't when he was happy having her close at hand again. Especially after what she had been through in the war.

"Is that so..." He would have to talk with Natsuki and make sure he doesn't hurt his precious sister. He stopped in front of Haruka's door and gave it a quick knock. "Remember, if you need me no matter the time. You know where my room is little bird." He said just as Haruka answered the door.

Haruka smiled at Ren and Lynara. "Hello Ren, the second bed has been set up for you Lynara. Come on in and get settled." She looked at Ren and waved him away so they could get ready for bed. "She will be in safe hands Ren."

He sighed and nodded before he pressed a kiss to his sisters temple. "Sleep well little bird." He didn't want to leave her but knew he couldn't hover all the time. In fact this was the perfect time to have a talk with Natsuki.

"Don't scare him too badly leo, he is my perfect match. I would like to actually one day fall for and marry him." Lynara warned her brother before she walked into the room. Ignoring Haruka's confusion as she looked around.

"I won't Lyra. See you both in the morning!" He left the girls to settle in for the night while he went off in search of Natsuki.

Natsuki was wandering the halls alone as he looked down at his hand. He could still feel the warmth of Lynara's hand. It made him wonder what was going on and why he was feeling this way. Sure she had stirred an interest in him but he was automatically in love with her. There was just something about her that was calling to him.

"There you are Natsuki, we need to talk." Ren said as he opened the door to the room he stood in front of. There were plenty of them but this gave them ample time to talk before they headed to bed for the night. "Get in."

Natsuki was curious so he walked into the room and sat down in a chair. Hearing the door close he looked at Ren who had one of his more serious looks on his face. "Whats this about Ren?"

"Lynara." Ren stated as he leaned against the wall with his arms across his chest. "It seems that there is something that I can't and won't fight against when it comes to my sister. When you shook hands with her, her magic sparked."

"Meaning?" Natsuki wasn't dumb, this had to be a serious matter. Right now Ren and Lynara were the most knowledgeable when it came to magic.

"Means that her magic chose you as her magical soulmate." Ren narrowed his eyes at Natsuki as he waited for his reaction.

"But...what about the no romance rule? Why me?" Natsuki frowned as he once more looked at the hand that Lynara had shook.

"Doesn't apply to Lynara so she is free to date anyone here if she wants to. As for why it chose you, magic has a mind of its own. Once it chooses then thats it, there is no one else. You are the perfect match for Lynara and magic has made it so she won't have to suffer through anymore heartbreak. Love isn't instantaneous, use the time to get to know Lynara. But you will be letting her set the pace. I can't even threaten you because I know you can make her happy. It won't stop me from watching you though."

Natsuki couldn't fault him for that. "I will, I don't honestly think either of us are ready for romance though. Especially Lynara, she seems like she is fine but even I can see that she isn't. May I ask why she hasn't...broken down yet?" Lord knew she had every right to and more.

"She doesn't want to feel like a burden but trust me she will have a breakdown. I can predict it will be soon, how soon I don't know but it will happen." Ren didn't want his sister hurting but she didn't have to be strong all the time. "Just promise me that you will remain faithful. Its something she takes seriously and I don't want to see her hurting anymore than she is already."

"I promise Ren. I love being an Idol and making our fans happy with our music. But your sister will always come first even now. We all want to see her happy and I will do my best to never hurt her." Natsuki stood up and walked up to Ren. "We should head to our rooms and get some sleep."

Ren nodded and pushed away from the wall before he opened the door. "Goodnight Natsuki." He left the room and made his way to his dorm room. He had a feeling his sister will come find him later into the night.

It was late and all the occupants of Saotome Manor were asleep. All but Lynara who ran through the darkened halls in her cat form. Her tails flicking behind her as she headed for her brothers room. Fear gripped her heart making her run even faster making her seem like a blur to anyone's eyes. Upon reaching his door she shifted back into her human form and knocked on the door. She knew that everyone would be asleep by now. But she needed her brother, needed the safety he was able to make her feel.

The door was swung open by a man that she hadn't seen yet. His glare would have scared anyone else but she had seen worse glares from a lost scarier beings. "Sorry to wake you up but can you please get Ren." She was trembling in place and tears had begun to well in her eyes.

Ranmaru Kurosaki didn't like being woken up so abruptly from his sleep. But seeing this girl on the verge of breaking down had him biting his tongue. He didn't know who she was but she knew Ren Jinguji. "Jinguji, a girl is at the door." He stepped to the side as he heard the shuffling from one of the beds. And then Ren was at his side and to him he didn't look at all surprised by this girl being here. Just who is this girl?

"Little bird." Ren took his sisters hand and pulled her into the room. Ignoring his senior as he led her to his bed and settled her on the end. "What caused this one?" He knelt down and gently wiped her tears as they began to fall. He didn't mind how late it was when she needed him.

Masato got out of bed and yawned as he sat down beside Lynara. He and the others all agreed they would be there for her and Ren. He had a feeling she would be here a lot and quite frankly he didn't blame her.

Ranmaru chose to watch them and see if he could figure out who this girl was. Ren seems like he knew what was happening and how to handle the situation.

"I could smell the blood. Hear the screams and the laughter. The pain as they played with me. Taunting me that they would find you and Seiichiro." She reached out for her brother, needed to feel that he was real. "It was his voice I heard as I could feel him. Feel what he was doing to me." She tightly shut her eyes as she tried to shake the memory turned nightmare. She knew that no one in Britain knew about Ren or their elder brother.

Masato dared not react to what he just heard. He truly felt bad for Lynara and all that she had gone through. But who is this person she is talking about?

Ren sighed as he wrapped his arms around his sister. "He isn't here anymore, Sirius made sure of that. Me and Seiichiro are fine, you kept us from being found. Malfoy can't hurt you anymore and neither can the others." He tightened his hold on her as she cried into his chest.

Ranmaru was shocked and looked at Masato. "Who is this girl?" He was beginning to see a side of Ren he had never seen before.

"Lynara Jinguji, Ren's little sister." Masato said as he got up and walked over to their senior. "She's been through some very traumatic events and only just returned home. Ren is looking after her while she heals and recovers."

"Why couldn't his older brother look after the girl?" Ranmaru asked Masato.

Masato shook his head and pointed at the siblings as they embraced. "Because he couldn't do what Ren can for her. Besides the rest of us have all decided to help him and have grown rather protective quickly. If you knew half of what we do then you would feel the same."

Ren broke the embrace and stood up before he pulled her to her feet. "Lets get some sleep Lyra, you can sleep with me." He knew shot the two men a look daring them to object. He crawled into bed and held the blanket up for her.

Lynara crawled in beside her brother and cuddled into his chest. Clinging to him like a child would their parent. Afraid to let him go after the nightmare she had. It wasn't long before she was asleep and peacefully this time.

Ren settled an arm over his sister as he held her close. "You should both get some sleep. Even with me acting as a safety net there is no telling whether she will have another nightmare." He propped his head up on his hand as his eyes landed on his friend and his senior.

Masato nodded and climbed the ladder to the top bunk. He laid back down but had no wish to sleep deeply. Not when he was just as alert as Ren was. What she said had really shaken him. And to think she may have more, he truly felt bad for her. She shouldn't have to suffer through such dark dreams and memories.

Ranmaru for once didn't make a fuss and shut the light off. He faced his juniors and the sleeping girl, Lynara he reminded himself. Seeing her breakdown like that and hear what she had said. It shook him in a way nothing had before. He felt a stab of protectiveness for the girl and he only just met her. Then again she obviously needs all the support she could get. He wouldn't be able to sleep now but he could keep watch over them incase she woke with a nightmare. One thing was for sure, if he had felt like this from just meeting her. The others would be the same way even cold Camus. This girl would no doubt be just as special as Haruka is.

Alright this was the last chapter. Next one is a small time skip. Not every character is going to get scene times with Lynara. But I will do my best to try and squeeze in most of them. No promises though.
