Hello one and all to another episode of Pokemon SVTA and today, after multiple back-to-back episodes of story and action, let's take a break with a filler episode. The gang continue their journey towards Levincia but it seems like a trainer is interested in searching for a special Pokemon called Rellor who is said to have a mysterious power of revival upon taking 1000 steps, but it seems like Penny has heard about this type of story and tries to tell the group about the truth.
Meanwhile, James and Meowth are intrested in this idea of revival, but it seems like even Jessie understands the story too. This story was originally planned to be a filler chapter set after Chapter 25 (which was over a year ago) but I wasn't able to think of a story for the chapter so I went straight to Cascaraffa but I decided to reexplore this story here in hopes of making it interesting. This will likely be a short chapter but without further ado, let's go!
It was another day in the Paldea Region where-
"You went down to a Tera Cavern for some platinum!" Sada yelled out through the camera on a payphone towards the group. -where Arven and the gang were getting scolded at by Sada for going down to Tera Caverns recklessly, Petunia was also there.
"We had-"
"Yes, you had Petunia Arven but don't forget, she could've not seen you. Had you gone down there without any sort of guide, you 4- erm, 6 would've been dead or have been erased out of existence had the Tera Caverns disappeared!" Sada says scoldingly as the 4 Trainers looked ashamed.
"We're sorry." Nemona says as Sada sighs and softly smiles.
"I'm just glad you're alright. Could you show off what you've seen down in the depths? I maybe able to look at this more and provide an update in the future over these new developments." Sada asked as Ash and Arven nod.
"Of course!" both Ash and Arven say as Pikachu and Morada stood ready to go and both trainers threw their Tera Orbs at the Pokemon who Terastalize into the mysterious new type in Area Zero as Sada looked intrigued by it with stars in her eyes.
"Someone's impressed." Petunia says with wit as Sada analyzed them.
"All 18 types circling around the user, a mysterious Pokemon on top of the head and the Tera hexagon on top to represent it all. A Tera that boosts all types but can't boost the same move again and keeps the original type of the user? This is a particular new development. Arvy, you picked up a particular stone, right?" Sada asks as Arven nods and brings out the hexagon light blue stone which seems to spark something in Sada's mind but can't pinpoint to it.
"Does this stone remind you of anything mom?" Arven asks as Sada looks on.
"I think, I know I've seen that and that Pokemon before, it's so familiar. I'll reach back to you on it but until then, I want you 4 to stay safe and responsible and have fun on your journeys." Sada says as the gang nod.
"Yes Ms Sada/mom!" the 4 say but before Sada hangs up, Ash steps forward.
"Wait, before you go, there was something we encountered down at Area Zero that left questions." Ash says as Sada listens.
"The first mon we encountered was a robotic Tyranitar called Iron Thorns, a Paradox Pokemon." Nemona says.
"So, a Tera Cavern can bring forth Paradox Pokemon, scary and interesting." Sada says.
"But also, a robotic Terrakion that called itself Iron Boulder, that not only has no information but was brought over 10 years ago with a mention of Turo." Penny says as Sada's eyes perked up.
"10 years- so he used the machine to bring back not just Koraidon and Miraidon but also these Pokemon, but why?" Sada asks herself, "That man." Sada says angrily before focusing once more and being calm.
"Now that I think about it, I did see something similar in the Violet Book." Arven says bringing out the book and showing an image of what appeared to be a Pokemon that combined various aspects of the Swords of Justice.
"What's that?" Ash asks as Sada steps forward.
"To answer, it's what Heath believed he saw down in Area Zero, a Pokemon that looked fused together and monstrous but on the other hand, it's believed to have been a hallucination, but these are only theories at best. It's the same deal in the Scarlet Book too." Sada says intriguing them but Sada smiles. "But, we can save that discussion for another day. The road to Levincia isn't too hard and not too complicated, you should be there by a day or 2. So have fun on your journeys." Sada says.
"Will do!" the 4 said as Sada then has a loving expression on her face.
"Have fun my baby boy, I love you!" Sada says as Arven blushed and tried to walk away, "Say it back." Sada says as Arven sighs.
"Love you too mom." Arven says embarrassed as Sada smiles and disconnects. The gang have a good laugh about it while Arven bashfully tries to deny it.
The gang hit the road with Ash, Nemona and Penny on Koraidon while Arven was on Gogoat as they admired the scenery.
"Your mom really chose the most scenic route Arven." Nemona says as Arven nods.
"Yep, my mom was a trainer herself taking on the Treasure Hunt a long time ago and she took this route on her journey, it's quite beautiful and she's using this route for her experiments when over here." Arven says as both Pokemon stop upon seeing a crossing of Scovillain and a smaller kappa-like Pokemon.
"Who's that Pokemon?" Ash says as he scans the small Pokemon.
Capsakid, the Spicy Pepper Pokemon and the pre evolved form of Scovillain. The more sunlight this Pokémon bathes in, the more spicy chemicals are produced by its body, and thus the spicier its moves become.
"These Pokemon often pass by here to enjoy the sun on this sunny day." Arven says as a Capsakid walks to Nemona as she picks him up.
"A little guy, you enjoying the sun?" Nemona asks as he nods before proceeding to launch several Bullet Seeds at Nemona as she looked on with a deadpan expression, "I guess you also enjoy tricking people." Nemona says as the Capsakid runs off, the gang prepare to continue the journey until they heard a loud sound.
"AHHHHHHH!" the voice was heard as the gang looked around.
"What was that?" Ash asked as Penny pointed to someone.
"Over there!" Penny says as they see a kid around the same age as them and his Wattrel surrounded by 2 Toedscool and 1 Toedscruel who were ready for a fight as Ash seemingly recognized them.
"A regional Tentacool and Tentacruel?" Ash says as Nemona shakes her head.
"No, different species. Clavell mentioned this before, a Convergent Pokemon." Nemona says as Ash scans them.
Wattrel, the Storm Petrel Pokemon, Electric/Flying. When its wings catch the wind, the bones within produce electricity. This Pokémon dives into the ocean, catching prey by electrocuting them
Toedscool, the Woodear Pokemon, Ground/Grass, Though it looks like Tentacool, Toedscool is a completely different species. Its legs may be thin, but it can run at a speed of 30 mph
Toedscruel, the Woodear Pokemon, Ground/Grass and the evolved from of Toedscool, These Pokémon gather into groups and form colonies deep within forests. They absolutely hate it when strangers approach
"Well, I'm not going to let them attack! Cyclizar, use Breaking Swipe!" Ash says throwing out his Pokeball releasing Cyclizar who's tail glows blue and Penny decides to join in too.
"Alright Floragato, join in with Seed Bomb!" Penny says as Floragato nods and jumps in the air releasing several seeds. Both attacks send the Woodear Pokemon back who ready themselves for battle.
"Alright you 3, leave the kid alone or you'll have to face us!" Ash says as Toedscruel gargles in anger and sends the two Toedscool ready for battle as the first one rushes in with Lunge while the other rushes in with Foul Play as Cyclizar and Floragato ready themselves. "Cyclizar, clash with Dragon Claw!" Ash says as Cyclizar nods as the first Toedscool jumps in the air preparing to Lunge at Cyclizar who's feet clash with Cyclizar's claw.
"Now grab onto the arm and use Rapid Spin!" Ash says as Cyclizar nods and Toedscool's taken by surprise as it's grabbed by the leg and spun around and thrown far away while the other Toedscool attempts to attack Floragato.
"Dodge!" Penny says as Floragato nods and gracefully spins out of the way of the attack to the right as Penny follows up on it, "Now Shadow Claw!" Penny says as Floragato's front fur turns purple and slashes the Toedscool away sending them running off.
"Alright!" Ash and Penny say as Toedscruel gets angry and prepares for battle. Koraidon on the other hand stands up and lets out a mighty roar. This roar leaves Toedscruel blinking twice and running off scared as the gang breathe a sigh of relief. "Thanks Koraidon." Ash says getting out a poke-biscuit and tossing it into Koraidon's eager mouth. The boy and his Wattrel look on impressed as he gets up.
"You guys were so cool, thank you!" the boy says as Ash nods.
"Not a problem. What were you doing out here anyway? Were you trying to catch a Toedscool?" Ash asks as the boy shakes his head.
"No, no, I'm afraid of those Pokemon. In truth, I'm trying to search for a different Pokemon but first, my name is Miles, and this is my Wattrel, Wattson." Miles says as Wattrel cheers his name loudly.
"Watt! Watt!" Wattrel says.
"My name is Ash and this here is Pikachu, Koraidon and Cyclizar." Ash says.
"Pikachu/Zar/Don!" the 3 Pokemon say.
"Arven's the name and this here is Gogoat." Arven says.
"Goat!" Gogoat says.
"I'm Nemona and this here is Pawmo."
"Paw! Paw!"
"Penny and this here is Floragato."
"Gato!"
"Nice to meet you all." Miles says as they get back to the topic.
"So, are you out here for a Treasure Hunt for your school? You should probably get away from this area, it's where Toedscool and Toedscruel often lie to get together." Arven asks as Miles slightly nods.
"Kind of, I am on a trip for my Treasure Hunt for Uva but in truth, this is a side project. My goal right now is to search for a Rellor." Miles says catching the gang's attention.
"Rellor?" Ash asks as Miles nods.
"Yep, it's a Pokemon that's known to roll large dirt balls throughout the Region." Miles says which stumps Nemona.
"You're finding them to take their dirt balls away?" Nemona asks as Miles shakes his head.
"No, most definitely not. In truth, I want to catch one for a personal reason, the power of revival." Miles says getting the gang, but Penny interested, in fact, Penny looked on with sympathy but also knew something about what Miles was saying that didn't resonate with her.
"Power of revival?" Arven asks as Miles brings out a book and nods.
"Yep, the story goes that if one brings a Rellor 1000 steps, it's said that it's body glows and gains the power of revival, and I want to find one so it can help me out." Miles says which gets the gang interested except for Penny.
"The power of revival? Sounds mystical, sign me up!" Nemona says as Miles nervously laughs.
"Yeah, except I'm terrible at battling." Miles says bluntly before looking to Ash and got on his knees, "Please Ash, could you teach me how to battle so I can catch Rellor!?" Miles says as Ash thinks and nods.
"Alright, I can help you." Ash says as Penny looked shocked.
You're a bit too accepting. Penny thinks to herself as Ash and Miles move on to the wide-open grassy field but Penny sighs. C'mon, doesn't Miles or anyone know that story is- You're not going to like the truth. Penny thinks to herself as Miles and Wattson prepare themselves against Ash and Pikachu while Nemona gets out her notepad.
"Alright, we'll go a bit easy since it's not an official battle but stay focused, you might not know what happens next." Ash says as Miles nods.
"Alright, give me your best shot!" Miles says as Ash calls on his first attack.
"Alright Pikachu, use Quick Attack!" Ash says as Pikachu nods running towards Wattrel.
"Wattson, use Quick Attack too!" Miles says as Wattrel rushes at Pikachu clashing with him as both Ash and Pikachu nod in approval.
"Now that you've gotten close and personal, search for a weak spot to exploit to make it through the battle and come up with new strategies." Ash says as Miles nods and looks for an opening.
"Use Quick Attack to get away from Pikachu!" Miles says as Wattson nods and flies away from Pikachu at quick speed appearing behind Pikachu as Miles quickly follows it up, "Now Dual Wingbeat!" Miles says as Wattson's wings glow and slap Pikachu two times hopping back from Wattson as Miles cheers his Pokemon on.
"Now that's the spirit, Pikachu, use Electro Web! Pay close attention to the smoke Miles and know what to do next." Ah says as Pikachu jumps in the air and releases an electrical web as Miles calls his attack.
"Electro Ball!" Miles says as Wattson launches a ball of electricity towards the electrical web which both collided creating a puff of smoke.
That's the smoke, he means attack through the smoke. Alright then. Miles thought to himself, "Use Swift Wattson!" Miles says as Wattson launches a series of stars through the smoke.
"Use Iron Tail against the Swift." Ash says as Pikachu smacks them away with Wattson avoiding the attacks, both Pokemon breath heavily until Ash smiles softly.
"I think you're ready, those are the basics of battling but there will be plenty more where that came from in the future." Ash says as Miles smiles confidently.
"Thanks Ash, I'll remember this." Miles says as Wattson chirps and points to something.
"Watt, Watt, Wattrel!" Wattson says getting Miles and Ash's attention.
"What's up Wattson?" Miles asks as Wattson points to a particular Pokemon rolling a dirt ball as Miles gets excited. "That's the Rellor!" Miles says as Ash scans it.
Rellor, the Rolling Pokemon, Bug. This Pokémon creates a mud ball by mixing sand and dirt with psychic energy. It treasures its mud ball more than its own life.
"So that's a Rellor, why could this revival thing be interesting?" Nemona asks as Penny was about to speak up, but Miles confidently has Wattson sent out onto the field ready for battle.
"Alright Rellor, I request a battle and if I win, I want to catch you! What do you say?" Miles says as Rellor smirks and picks up his ball ready for battle.
"Rellor!" Rellor says ready for battle as it kicks its ball towards Wattson with green aura.
"Fly up and dodge that Skitter Smack!" Miles says as Wattson nods flying quickly in the air as Rellor runs to catch his ball as Miles sees that as an opportunity, "Now Swift!" Miles says as Wattson launches a series of stars towards Rellor who gets hit by them.
"That's great Wattson, now use Quick Attack!" Miles says as Wattson nods rushing at Rellor who kicks his ball into the air and glows like metal using Iron Defense bracing the hit as the ball comes back down and lands on Wattson. Rellor smirks before kicking the dirt ball at Wattson using Skitter Smack sending him and the ball flying.
"Wattson!" Miles says as Wattson gets up and realizes he has Rellor's ball and Ash looks on knowingly as Miles had an idea. "Pick up the ball and fly in the air!" Miles says as Wattson nods picking up the ball as Rellor panics. He tries to jump in the air to grab it as Miles decides to follow up on it.
"Alright Wattson, throw it back!" Miles says as Wattson throws the ball of dirt back at Rellor who catches it, "Now for an Electro Ball!" Miles says following up on the attack as Wattson launches a ball of electricity towards Rellor which collides with his ball sending him back as Miles sees his opportunity and grabs an Ultra Ball.
"Alright, let's go!" Miles says throwing the Ultra Ball and catching Rellor, the ball shakes and shakes until it sparkles signaling capture as Miles's eyes widen in excitement. "Alright, I just caught a Rellor!" Miles says releasing Rellor who cheerfully kicks his dirt ball.
"Way to go, Miles!" Ash says as Miles smiles bashfully.
"Thanks." Miles says as Penny walks forward.
"So now that you caught Rellor, what are you planning on using it's 'revival' for?" Penny asks with suspicion in her eyes as Miles froze up but confidently manages to brush it off.
"Well, I come from a village that doesn't have too many Pokemon Centers and the ones that do have them are always so busy. So, I promised my Blissey I would wait for her on the Colina Eterna (Portuguese for Eternal Hill) where I would bring a special helper which is where Rellor comes in." Miles says as the gang, but Penny was intrigued.
"The power of Pokemon Healing without going to a nurse, it sounds rare and almost mythical." Nemona says as Miles nods nervously hiding something.
"Would you all like to see it?" Miles asks as Penny attempts to butt in.
"Well, we have a Gym Battle to get to." Penny says trying to leave but Nemona shakes her head and smirks confidently.
"I have plenty of time, I want to get in some last-minute training too, so I'll have some time to challenge Iono later." Nemona says as Arven looks on his map on his phone with his thumb covering up some details.
"The Colina Eterna isn't too far, they say it's home to stargazing but also a view of the ocean." Arven says as the gang agreed and prepared to go as Penny sighed.
Why are they going along with this? Don't they know that the story of Rellor and the location of the Colina Eterna is home to that area's ce- Penny didn't finish as she heard her name being called.
"Wake up Penny or I'll eat the last of your chocolate cake!" Arven says as Penny perked up.
"Oh no you don't, get back here!" Penny says as she and Floragato catch up. Meanwhile in a nearby bush, the TR trio and Wobbuffet were thinking of their next plans when they overheard the group but strangely enough, Jessie seems somber and sympathetic towards the group similar to Penny while James and Meowth hatched their plans.
"Revival eh, a move that can revive a Pokemon anytime it wants. That sounds like something the boss may want to use that whenever he wants for after a battle." James says as Meowth lready imagines the plan.
"I can see it now, the boss is losing a major battle and a Pokemon of his like Nidoking faints but fortunately, he has the help of that Rellor and boom! Nidoking's revived and is ready for another round!" Meowth says as James had stars in his eyes.
"Oh Meowth, your plans are so immaculate. Wouldn't you agree Jessie? Jess?" James says as Jessie woke up from her sadness and softly smiles.
"I disagree personally." Jessie says as Meowth was curious.
"Jee, what's up? Didn't get enough sleep?" Meowth asks as Jessie shakes her head.
"That too but that kid said it in a way where I think he shouldn't use that revival thing for whatever he's going to do." Jessie says leaving Meowth and James confused.
"What do you mean? Of course, he's going to use it for revival in a Pokemon fight, that's useful!" Meowth says as Jessie shakes her head.
"Can't you read the boy's body language, it's pretty obvious that-" Jessie didn't finish as James and Meowth ran off as Jessie sighed and Wobbuffet hopped next to her as Jessie pats the Patient Pokemon's head. "You get me right Wobby?" Jessie asks with a soft smile.
"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet says as Jessie nods.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but I can tell that Pen-Pen maybe on to something." Jessie says.
We see the gang walk along the trail as they see a huge hill that resembled a mountain in the distance which Miles pointed out. "That there is our location, the Colina Eterna, it's where my Blissey is waiting at." Miles says as the gang are enamored with it.
"It's so huge!" Nemona says as they continue to walk with Wattson and Rellor walking together side by side talking with one another, Penny wanted to tell everyone the truth of the story but also wanted context to Miles's story and why he's doing this.
"So, Miles, Blissey's really special to you?" Penny asks as Miles nods brightly.
"Indeed, it was my first Pokemon given to me by my mother back as a Happiny, I treasure her so much." Miles says as he looks towards the hill with slight sadness but still kept a smile. "Even if it made me the laughing stock of everyone because apparently to them 'boys can't like cute Pokemon' or that I would be 'girlish' which why would that be an issue?" Miles says a bit more spiteful as Penny felt kind of bad for Miles.
"I get you; it was like that for different reasons at my previous school." Penny says as Ash steps forward.
"It's wrong of them to say that we all have interests and Pokemon that don't fit the norm for most people, but we should embrace them and not judge for who they are." Ash says sending out Tinkatuff.
"Tuff!" Tinkatuff says.
"I have a Tinkatuff, pink and Female only but that doesn't stop me and never should." Ash says returning Tinkatuff, "And I have a friend, his name is Brock, and he has a Blissey and a Comfey with him and despite all that, he always displays a level of maturity and doesn't feel bothered by having the 2 by his side and neither should you." Ash says returning Tinkatuff inspiring Miles a bit.
"Thanks." Miles says as Ash catches onto his slight nervousness and feels he's hiding something.
"So, what happened with Blissey that caused you to search out Rellor?" Arven asks as Miles freezes up.
"Well- we were on our way home when a group of Brambleghast attacked us. Wattson and Blissey held their own, but Blissey took the most damage and had her energy drained out of her. With no Pokemon Centers in my area and being far from school, I wanted to heal my Blissey as soon as possible and so I decided to seek out Rellor and hope his power is enough to save Blissey." Miles says as Ash looked to Rellor and looked to Miles.
"I see, a notable goal if I say so myself but I want to know, if it works or doesn't work, do you still plan on keeping Rellor afterwards?" Ash says as the gang were surprised and Miles froze up, "To me, it seems like you're only trying to use Rellor for its revival power and nothing more. Of course, I could be wrong and overanalyzing it, but do you want to bond with Rellor or use them?" Ash says with a calm tone as Miles couldn't think of the words.
"Maybe this is a good opportunity for you and Rellor to bond. When one catches a Pokemon, it's for different reasons but if your determined to catch a Pokemon, you and the Pokemon can be one and the same connected like a soul when you learn more about each other. So, take some time and learn about Rellor and Rellor will learn about you." Ash says as both he and Rellor look to each other.
"In the meanwhile, I can set up for lunch. Could you give me a hand Nemona" Arven says as he sets his bag down and Nemona nods as Penny pulls Ash aside wanting to talk to him.
"What's up Penny? Is something the matter?" Ash asks as Penny breathed in.
"Well, it's- there's something you should know about that Rellor story Miles says. You've noticed how strange Miles is acting too right?" Penny says as Ash gave a slight nod.
"I kind of noticed it, yeah. What's wrong with the story?" Ash asks as Penny took a deep breath and explained, we don't know what they said for now, but the look on Ash's face turned into one of concern and seriousness.
We see Miles trying to bond with Rellor trying to learn more about him after they ate a hearty lunch. "So Rellor, what is it you like to do?" Miles asks as Rellor does some tricks with his ball like lifting it, standing on it like a circus clown leaving Miles intrigued as he and Wattson clapped at Rellor's tricks.
"So, you like to perform? You have a clearer goal than me." Miles says lying on the grass as Rellor got curious.
"Lor, Rellor?" Rellor asks Miles.
"You see, I haven't really figured out my future or my Treasure really. I want to do something in my life, but I feel something's holding me back from realizing it." Miles says lying on the grass further, "It feels like a burden is on my shoulder." Miles says as he notices Rellor having trouble moving and remembers his battle earlier with Rellor. He grabs some medical supplies out of his bag.
"I almost forgot; we had our battle earlier." Miles says as Rellor walks to him and hops on his lap as Miles applies the potions and wraps, "There we are, all better." Miles says as Rellor hops off and chirps appreciatively. Miles fondly reminisced on his Blissey healing him and his friends often.
"Funny, she would often heal anyone no questions asked and I'm doing the same thing she's doing. She's so kind and caring and I... I want to make sure she's ok so I just have to put on a brand-new face and help her. Right Wattson, Rellor?" Miles says as his Pokemon cheered on, but Wattson can tell how uncomfortable Miles felt saying that as if he's hiding something. Miles gets up and stretches, ready to go and so did everyone else. Ash and Penny stayed calm as they knew something was up but didn't want to make Miles feel confronted.
"Shall we go?" Ash asked everyone as they nodded.
They walk along the road with the gang admiring the scenery as they make it close to the Colina Eterna with it being only 30 minutes away, while Ash and Penny were focused and Arven and Nemona more opportunistic, Miles appeared guilty of something but tried to keep a bright face as he traveled with Rellor who displayed his skills.
"Is something off Miles?" Nemona asks as Miles tenses up and shakes his head and puts up a smile.
"Oh, everything's ok, just thinking about Blissey, that's all." Miles says sweating nervously but shaking it off with a more determined face prepared to face the oncoming challenges ahead. He looks to Rellor who seemed to be rolling faster and checking on the dirt ball frantically which Penny takes note of.
Rellor's constantly checking his ball for any faults, moving quickly and smoothing out any edges. Rellor's closer to evolving, hopefully everyone will be ready for the uncomfortable truth. Penny thought to herself but as she did, Pikachu and Floragato's ears pick up on something and Pikachu's tail glows and Floragato's claw glows too and use their Iron Tail and Shadow Claw respectively destroying the net that was heading towards Rellor as the gang woke up and looked to the distance.
"Pokemon hunters?" Miles asks as Nemona shakes her head.
"Even worse." Nemona says as a large robot containing James and Meowth appeared from behind the trees and came out of their robot but strangely, no Jessie, Miles gasps.
"Oh my goodness, play actors!" Miles says as everyone including James and Meowth slump down comedically, James and Meowth had veins on their heads.
"What makes you think we're apart of a play!?" Meowth says before shaking it off to do their entrance, but they notice that Jessie isn't there. "Hey where did she go? We can't do the intro without her." Meowth says in a panic as James also panics before Ash coughs.
"So um, what's your evil scheme this time?" Ash says not really surprised by them as James and Meowth sighs but get back into character.
"We're here to capture that Rellor! It has powers of revival and that can provide some use to us! We can come back and back until we tire you out and take your Pikachu!" James says as Ash grits his teeth.
"Not today you won't, Pikachu!" Ash says as Miles, inspired by Ash does the same.
"Rellor, let's do this!" Miles says but turns around to see Rellor still working on the ball, "Rellor, what are you doing?" Miles asks as Penny steps in.
"He's checking on his ball and smoothing it out, it means he's close to evolving. Miles, stay and keep Rellor safe until he evolves, we'll handle this." Penny says as Miles nods and Penny focuses on James and Meowth.
"So, you choose to challenge us so! Alright then, Inkay! Klawf! Give em a show!" James says as he sends out Klawf and Inkay out who were ready for battle as Ash remembers the Inkay.
He brought his old Pokemon along for the ride? The results will be the same. Ash thought to himself as James brings out something else, a Tera Orb which surprised the group.
"Oh, but I should warn you, we got ourselves a powerful new tool that will help us match your level. Alright Klawf, let's show em what we got!" James says throwing his Tera Orb down and Terastalizing it into a Rock Type.
"Klawf! Klawf!" Klawf says happily as Ash's Pikachu and Nemona's Pawmo were ready for a fight.
"Alright Pikachu, rush towards Klawf with Quick Attack!" Ash says as Pikachu nods and runs towards Klawf.
"Pawmo, use Bite towards Inkay!" Nemona says as Pawmo nods and rushes towards Inkay as James smirks.
"Alright Klawf, let's show your Tera Might with Rock Blast and Inkay, spin around and use Slash!" James says as both Pokemon nod and Klawf launches a series of rocks towards Pikachu who hops out of the way of the attacks while Inkay spins around and his two big tentacles glow using Slash, spinning around attempting to hit Pawmo who nearly dodges until he's hit by the Slash attack but blocks it. Pikachu circles around Klawf's legs avoiding being stepped on before jumping up from behind.
"Iron Tail!" Ash says as Pikachu prepares to slam his tail onto Klawf.
"Block it with Metal Claw!" James says as Klawf nods and blocks the attack. Arven sends out Garganacl and Penny looks to Floragato who focuses on Inkay.
"Quick Attack!" Penny says as Floragato rushes at Inkay tackling him away from Pawmo with Floragato's fur changing to gray.
"Stomping Tantrum!" Arven says as Garganacl slams his foot onto the ground and releases splinters towards Klawf causing him to be hit and distracted as Ash called out another move.
"Iron Tail again!" Ash says as Pikachu slams his tail onto Klawf who's slammed to the ground by the attack. James and Meowth grit their teeth.
"That's no fair!" Meowth says as Arven bluntly looks at them.
"Well, we're not background characters." Arven says as James and Meowth reluctantly agreed to Arven's statement.
"Fair enough." James says as both Klawf and Inkay get up for another fight. "That's the spirit, Inkay, Psybeam and Klawf, Rock Blast again!" James says as Klawf and Inkay focus their attacks but as they did, Rellor finishes checking his ball and places his back 2 legs on their with a determined expression as he began to glow in a blue light as everyone noticed.
"Rellor's evolving." Miles says as Rellor started to float in the air and the ball in question started to swirl in a psychic energy as the light disspates to reveal a new floating Pokemon whose dirt ball now appeared to that of a purple and pink orb.
"Rabsca!" the Pokemon says as Ash scans him.
Rabsca, the Rolling Pokemon, a Bug/Psychic type and the evolved form of Rellor. The body that supports the ball barely moves. Therefore, it is thought that the true body of this Pokémon is actually inside the ball.
Miles looked impressed as Rabsca focused on the 2 Pokemon. as they charge up their attacks again but to James's surprise, the Rock Blast started to form into a larger rock. "Alright! You learned Stone Edge, use it to your advantage!" James says as Klawf nods and aims for Pikachu throwing the rock but before Pikachu could move, Rabsca launches a series of purple orbs towards the Stone Edge breaking them.
"Rabsca learned Psyshock." Arven says as Rabsca then launches buzzing wave towards Inkay sending him flying towards the robot knocking him out, "And Bug Buzz, your Rabsca evolved prepared for a fight." Arven says as James wasn't giving up.
"Oh no you don't! Use Mud-"
"Use Air Cutter!" a female voice was heard as a Yanmega launched an X-shaped aerial slash towards the robot hitting it through and exploding sending James, Meowth and James's Pokemon flying in the air.
"We're blasting off without Jessie!" James and Meowth say as they disappear in the sky with twinkle. The gang were perplexed to say the least over who sent that Air Cutter and turn around to see Jessie with Yanmega once again surprising them.
"It's you!" Ash says as Penny turns to Ash.
"They have names." Penny says making Ash realize he's never actually said their names for a long time but that was aside from the point.
"Are you on-" Jessie interrupts Nemona before she could finish.
"Not even once would I side with twerps, I'm here to teach this twerp a lesson." Jessie says pointing to Miles.
"About what!? Heading to a hill to restore my beloved Blissey back to full health." Miles says getting defensive.
"Are you now or are you in denial over accepting your Blissey's loss and inability to move on because if so, I get it." Jessie says calming down but focused as Nemona and Arven look at Jessie with skepticism.
"What are you going on about? Is there something wrong with restoring Blissey to full health?" Nemona asks as Nemona noticed Miles's reaction being slower and more somber but tried shaking it off. Jessie sighed.
"Haven't you noticed the signs? The Champ and the Eevee girl already saw it, Miles is hiding something from all of you and I know those expressions, he doesn't want to accept the reality of his actions, and don't you realize what this place is? It's not just some hill, it's something more... unfortunate." Jessie says in a more serious tone as the gang look to Miles whose eyes displayed angst as he realized the truth and looked to Ash and Penny.
"How long did you 2 know?" Miles asks.
"Since the beginning, I knew what you were going to do was out of that denial of yours, because I also did the same thing. To search for a Rellor to help my Eevee when I couldn't accept the truth at the time." Penny says.
"The story?" Nemona says as she remembered the story of Miles talking about the Rellor, "The Rellor story, the one where one finds a Rellor, walks 1000 steps and uses its power of restoration right?" Nemona adds on as Miles and Penny nods.
"Indeed, but that story isn't just some rumor, it's more of a fairy tale, a life lesson and if possible, I want to tell the story to give you the full context towards why I was skeptical of this whole journey." Penny says as Miles reluctantly nods, and they all began to walk the hill of the Colina Eterna as James, his Pokemon and Meowth fall back down to the group.
"Good, you can join too." Jessie says dragging James and Meowth as James returns his Pokemon and Penny begins the story as they walk up the hill.
"Once upon a time, there lived a boy who lived happily in a village named Esperanza. He lived alone with his beloved mother who was gravely ill, no matter how much medicine, Berries or any Heal Pulse could do, it was no avail. The boy encountered a Pokemon that could revive another with the power of miracles, a move called Revival Blessing. The boy set out on a journey of 1000 steps, through the hills and the forests, nothing could stop him. He found a Pokemon named Rellor who is said to have a power that will awaken at 1000 steps more, he befriended the Rolling Pokemon and the walked towards 1000 steps back home and suddenly, Rellor transformed into Rabsca. "With this miracle, I could save my mother!" the boy said with enthusiasm as they reached home." Penny says as they make it near the top.
"When most read that story, they end it there without reading the ending, the more tragic truth that awaited them." Penny says as the make up the hill to see a cemetery, full of various Pokemon and people buried and loved ones visiting their beloved families as Nemona and Arven picked up the pieces of the unfortunate truth.
"I deceived you all and I'm sorry, my Blissey that waits here has already passed away 3 months ago." Miles says with sadness as the gang look to him as they walk to Blissey's grave, "Me and Blissey were on our way home when an avalanche of rocks occurred, we were trapped and heavily injured by the rocks and we were stuck but the only reason I'm still standing is Blissey took most of the blows to save me." Miles says as he tears up.
"She healed me back to health and when we were stuck there in the night, she kept me warm but felt very tired. By the morning when we were found, just when I was waking up Blissey she died with a smile from her injuries, she wanted me safe prioritizing my life over her owns." Miles says as he shakes his head and tries to deny it, "But hey, with Rabsca, maybe he has Revival Blessing. He can restore the dead and we can be happy again, I can see her again!" Miles says as Rabsca's body glows and launches a ball of light into the ground as Miles waits and waits.
"C'mon Blissey, I know your just sleeping. You weren't really dead; it was just false. These words I've been saying about dead, it's just a false statement, you were just sleeping so c'mon, wake up, I want to see your smile dang it!" Miles says breaking apart in tears, "Why!? Why isn't it working Rabsca!? I thought Revival Blessing worked on anything?" Miles says as he weeps as the gang watch on, unsure of what to say as Miles looks to Penny.
"How did it end?" Miles asks.
"As the boy returned home, the mother illness took a hold of her and said her final wishes "My dear boy, please don't cry. You have a future ahead of you, don't waste your days wallowed away alone, embrace who you are and the people who support you so. I love my dearest son." the mother said before falling into an eternal slumber she would never wake up from. The boy was in denial and asked the beloved Rabsca for the Revival Blessing but after that, came nothing and the mother still 'slept' in her bed." Penny says as Miles comes to the unfortunate truth.
"My Blissey really is gone." Miles says as Penny tears up herself and nods.
"Miles, I know what it's like to lose a Pokemon like that, I couldn't accept the truth of my Eevee's death and so I snuck out in search of a Rellor similar to the story. I caught him and went to my Veevee's body in hopes of restoring her to no avail. It's when I learned of how false that tale was and broke apart even more. I didn't want to accept the truth that my Eevee died but it was hard to move on after all that. My Veevee was my muse, my confidant, my sister, my best friend and I lost her from illness, I couldn't feel anything for a long, long while." Penny says as Miles wipes his tears but still looks to her Blissey's grave.
"How did you move on?" Miles says as Penny looks on unsure.
"To be honest, I'm still trying to move on from my Eevee's death as well as other events of my life but... I know I'm not alone." Penny says as she hugs both Ash and her Floragato bring them close. "These 2 helped me out." Penny says.
"Pika." Pikachu says as Penny lightly chuckled.
"Ok, 3. These 3 helped me out of that slump, I became... interested with Ash for his bravery, something I want but it was hard to achieve but when we were paired together in Biology, he listened to my story with my Eevee and understood my fears. He encouraged me as a person and gave me bravery no matter what and also helped me influenced my decision in catching my Floragato as a Sprigatito." Penny says nuzzling the Grass Cat Pokemon who nuzzles back. "She connected with me on a personal level, she has an energy that my Veevee has, happy, cheerful and just so loving. My life wouldn't be the same without Floragato and of course, it's Ash and Floragato that got me to be a bit more open with myself, being comforted by my family and Eeveelutions, catching Greavard and of course bonding with Nemona and one-eye." Penny says as Arven lightly chuckled.
"Hey." Arven says as Penny looked to Miles.
"While I'm not saying you shouldn't keep grieving for your Blissey because trust me, I still feel sad about my Eevee, I know that people are able to move forward in their own ways because I know that our loved ones even beyond this world want us to continue forward and I'm sure Blissey would want you to feel happy. The story isn't just some fairy tale but a lesson, you may not be able to bring the ones you love back to normal but appreciate the ones who will support you because they care and love you and I can tell that Wattson and Rabsca care about you deeply and you care for Rabsca." Penny says as Miles looked to Rabsca and Wattson, he noticed how the 2 Pokemon liked Miles and Miles throughout his short day with Rabsca had those same thoughts of just getting to Colina Eterna in hopes of using Revival Blessing, but Ash helped him realize another thing, to bond with the Pokemon he caught.
A new wave of determination came over Miles as he looked to Rabsca and then the gang.
"To be honest, it's going to be a long time until I can fully move on without Blissey, but I know that I don't have to do it alone. Rabsca, Wattson, I know that I've been so focused on reviving Blissey and not focusing what's been in front of me." Miles holds out his hand to his two Pokemon, "What do you say in starting a new bond, a new adventure, to focus on the journeys will have in front of us together. To honor Blissey's memory?" Miles says as Rabsca and Wattson hold his hand and cheer their names happily as Miles smiles tearfully before looking to Penny.
"Thank you, Penny." Miles says as Penny blushes nervously.
"C'mon, I didn't do anything! I just..." Penny couldn't think of anything to say but managed to spit it out, "I just didn't want to see anyone wallow forever alone." Penny says honestly as the gang smile.
"And thank you Ms.-" Miles was about to say to Jessie, but she disappeared along with James and Meowth, "Where did she?" Miles asks. Ash looked on in the distance to see Jessie, James and Meowth walking away wiping their tears as Ash softly smiles.
Maybe they aren't so heartless. Did Jessie go through something similar? Ash thought to himself as we look to TR. Silently, Meowth and James could tell there was more to Jessie that she didn't want to say, and they assume she had her reasons for stepping in but chose not to question her as they walk to their hot air balloon.
When I was young, my father left me and my mother leaving just the 2 of us. She had to work odd jobs before joining Team Rocket but despite that, she loved dearly and only wanted me to walk a good path in life. I thought that maybe I could repay my mother's love by going to a nurse school and earning enough money to buy her a home. But I guess not every story had a happy ending, my mother had to go away on a mission, an opportunity she said to earn enough money for the both of us, even higher than her Executive Officer position at TR. That was the last time I ever saw her alive, she passed away from an avalanche while searching for 'something' but I'm not sure what. I didn't want to believe she died, I thought that she was just sleeping and maybe she can be revived if I just went to that school but no matter how much I studied and searched for cures, you can never come back alive despite all you can do as a nurse. Look at me, my mother wouldn't have wanted me walking this path, but I guess life had different plans. Maybe if I can't change my path and if I can't bring back the ones I love, I might as well make sure others stay on there's and make sure to know that they will never be alone in life, because no matter how hard things get when someone's gone, just know you'll never walk the path alone and that the one's you love will watch you from beyond. Jessie thought to herself as she slumped down looking below at Paldea as the hot air balloon flew high in the sky.
We see the gang at camp having parted from Miles who wants to become a Pokemon Doctor in order to save Pokemon and bring them back to their trainers or friends happily without worry. Ash sees Penny and Floragato looking at the sunset as he and Pikachu sat by her.
"Are you ok Penny?" Ash asked as Penny shrugged.
"I don't know, just remembering how the day went and knowing I'm not alone." Penny said rubbing Floragato's fur as they look on silently.
"Whatever happened to your Rabsca?" Ash asked as Penny thinks.
"I let him go, I was in denial that I pushed Rabsca away." Penny says bringing out her Premier Ball, "This was the Pokeball I captured him in and after I left, I regretted yelling at him like that and tried to find him, but he was gone. I don't blame him if he hates me, I just want him to be happy." Penny said as her tears streamed down her face as Ash side hugs her.
"I know that my Veevee doesn't want me to act like this, but it's hard to move on without her." Penny says but gets a renewed smile and blushed, "But I know I'm not alone on that path anymore, I know it won't be easy but you're helping me feel more at ease everyday, so thank you Ash for being a great friend." Penny says as Ash smiles.
"It's what friends are for." Ash says as Penny has a proposition.
"Say Ash?"
"Yes Penny?"
"When the time comes, could you be my emotional support when I catch that Shiny Eevee, when I feel ready to move on?" Penny asked as Ash nods.
"I promise." Ash says and with that, they look to the distance enjoying the rest of the day.

I know it was a simple episode, but I figured a break from the intense action and story of the previous chapters was nice as well as reexploring a scrapped chapter for here was nice and allows me to think of the upcoming chapters which speaking of which, I'm writing the next chapter now but it might be a bit because I'm getting a new computer.
But for the next chapter, the gang arrive to Levincia for Nemona's next Gym battle and Ash is disguised in order to avoid the rabid fans but with Iono out for 2 days, the gang decide to enter Levincia Contest Battle where this year's theme is masquerade, so everyone is wearing masks and costumes and are teaming up with random trainers. Unbeknownst to Ash however, 3 of his companions and a familiar rival of gym battles and contests from Sinnoh are also in this competition, who could they be? Will the gang have fun? And what will happen in this 2-part event? Only one way to find out.
