"It's always scary to see people change. Terrifying to accept it but also to let it happen without controlling it, but it can make them stronger. Withstand the outcome of what will happen and push on, no matter happens next. That was what Harley and Ivy told their daughter Lucy Quinzel before leaving back to whatever timeline Savanti had sent them. While in return of giving their future daughter hope, they'd be going back knowing that a war would breakout and destroy the planet. All because they split apart to find new lives to embrace, yet there is a chance to stop it. Knowing what the time mutant said as well where they would be arriving to, the crew could stop the upcoming destruction and have a future where they are in their daughter's life. The question that's going through the four's minds while traveling back to Gotham city in the twenty first century, who started the war first."

Morning-Gotham City

Within one of the hundreds of alleyways that had criminal activity happen and fights breaking out. Four figures were slowly phasing into existence, forming shape and mass they only screamed at how painful it was when they were coming back. Finally gaining appearance, Harley was able to get her voice back as well her friends who felt like they were crushed up and reassembled back together. The clown woman took a moment in getting her senses together and having the chance to breath, she quickly rushed over to a nearby trash can throwing up after making it back home.

"Damn it! To think I'd get used teleporting, but now I feel like I was in labor thousand times over. Meaning peanut that when we have Lucy, I'll be ready."

Ivy telling her vomiting wife as she could tell she'd be the one birthing Lucy due to her green skin. Smiling at the thought, Bebop walked over to hand her a newspaper to clean up the puke so she could calm herself after their trip traveling through time. Giving Bebop a thumbs up for the newspaper, she took a look at the newspaper checking out the date on when they came back.

"September twenty seventh? We've been gone for six days. It felt like hours when we left, seriously I think I might want to check on Flash since he does this time travel bullshit every day."

Commenting about them being taken to the future and being there for six days. Yet she didn't get a response from her friends as they were looking at the streets which left them speechless at the sight. Harley confused at what made them silent took a look seeing everything grey and black. Most importantly there was no one around for them to be seen by as well that the sky was thundering, which was impossible since it wasn't raining.

"This reminds of those comics my pops used to share with me. Mirage comics, they were dark and gritty but with a hint of noir to it. But where the hell is the lighting?"

Bebop asking the group as the warthog was confused by what was causing the mysterious sounds of thunder. It was quickly answered by a building exploding several blocks away from them, but out of the smoke they saw another surprise that horrified them. Several Triceraton soldiers armed to the teeth and noticing the four Terran beings seeing them.

"Zanmoran's death will be avenge. Open fire!"

One of them calling out as the troop aimed right at the four which left them scared due to not having any cover. Out of the shortness of luck the Triceratons were ambushed by a shot from the sky as the others looked above them was Para-demons swarming over the dinosaur soldiers and descending on them. With the stroke of luck they were given, the four ran over to a car where they took cover from the attacks.

"What kind of civil war did we land in that involves those Triceraton punks and demons Apokolips duking out in Gotham?!"

Rocksteady shouting due to the explosions coming from all around them as the four noticed they were near a television set where they saw the news going on. During the week, Luthor wanted to show his demonstration of the Earth Saver, which was able to thicken the ozone layer. Though without Honeycut's head as a natural resource, it seemed that there were side effects.

"That son of bitch. He uses my idea on being socially conscious evil and turns the planet into a war zone for people pissed off all across space!"

Shouting in frustration since Ivy knew he would take the opportunity and make her ideal into a weapon that would destroy the planet. Especially now since with humanity going mad and having no way figuring out what to do, Darkseid and Mozar would seize control for the world.

"But where the hell are the heroes? Superman, Batgirl, the entire Justice League. Power girl."

Bebop questioning where the heroes were at as the last one that would be fighting it was Rocksteady's girlfriend. Hearing the last part made the rhino worried if Darkseid or Mozar got to her, Harley saw the fear in his face after all this time trying to show how far he'd go in dating her. Starting to get angry at this chaos happening, she was able to come up with a plan.

"Here's what we're doing. We head to the Legion's base, find any villains who're surviving this fuck up. Then to the Hall of Justice and take back Gotham and stop two alien civilizations from destroying the planet. All in time for me to figure out how you were able to birth our baby girl, who we promised we'd see her on her fucking wedding day!"

Shouting at the three and getting back to her old self in handling problems in the most explosive and epic of ways. Feeling inspired by her words and standing up on their feet feeling encouraged, it was interrupted by a scream coming from behind them. Looking over seeing a dead Triceraton cut in half, Ivy recognizes the killer as Steppenwolf, who was riding his hellhound and having his battle axe stained in blood.

"Poison Ivy! It a surprise to see you in this warfare and enjoying your conquest. I told Darkseid of this victory, he might offer you a seat by his side if you survive the destruction that comes."

The general spoke to her as he noticed Harley by Ivy's side which made his joyful expression change since he knew about her involvement in the first invasion of Gotham failing. Preparing to attack her for the failure, he was attacked by several shuriken's that hit his back. Looking above to see who did the cowardly attack, the general and four saw several individuals wearing what looked like similar clothing related to the Foot clan but without the symbol. Taking a second to recognize the ninjas, Ivy groaned in an annoyed manner as she was able to recognize them.

"League of assassins. They're with Talia as well the same ninjas like the Foot that don't mess around, as well not to get dragged into a fight with them."

Ivy warning the three before running away from the assassins who begun to descend right onto Steppenwolf and attack him. Not looking behind them, they could hear the ninjas being ripped apart by the general as well getting distant from them as possible. Running down the street avoiding exploding cars, people rampaging through stores and random acts of crimes. It was just like the first time when the gang broke the city, only they weren't the ones responsible for it.

"Where the fuck is Batman in all of this?! Shouldn't he and the kids be handling this? This piggy is not dying in black and white!"

Bebop questioning the whereabouts of the dark knight and his team as there was an abrupt silence about where they were since Harley and Ivy knew the answer that the two were missing after Batgirl told them about him and Nightwing's disappearance. Reaching to the park they saw the Legion of Doom base having a green shield over it as Enchantress had placed up a barrier around it to protect anyone inside. Banging on the barrier to try and get someone to notice them, only to draw the attraction of several para demons to fly at them. Waiting for a possible quick death from the demons, it was interrupted by several gunshots going scaring off the creatures as the bullets only pierced through their flesh and not killing them quickly. Looking over to their mystery savior, they were shocked to seeing Jim Gorgon who had on his GCPD uniform as well having several wounds him to the ongoing conflict in Gotham.

"Can't believe I'm saying this but, it's about time you four came back. Now get in here before those bugs come back with reinforcements."

The commissioner telling them as he tapped on the barrier as it opened up to Harley and the gang as they rushed right in still worried about getting surprised attack again. Heading into the base, the gang saw civilians who were injured being treated by several heroes who managed to get in to help and even the villains since the army's outsides carried only for destruction.

"It's all out war since you left for six days and Batman's disappearance. When Luthor used that ray of his to help the ozone layer, it blocked out the sun and made people freak out since most of the superheroes need sunlight to use their powers. Then it suddenly became a Black Friday event with Para demons coming, then ninjas and suddenly triceratops wearing uniforms. And somehow out of all that storm no one could find you."

Gordon summarizing how that when the sun was shrouded it shadow, it was a signal for attack leaving the planet up for anyone to takeover. Leading them to the conference room, Harley and the others saw the remaining Legion which involved the new members that Ivy brought in along Batgirl, Robin and Slash who were looking at a map of Gotham where they marked areas that had been taken over.

"Harley!"

Slash calling out as the large turtle rushed over to hug her as it was a relief to see someone that liked her in the Bat family. Putting the clown woman down, she walked over to greet the others as well check out that it wasn't a pretty sight. The Triceratons had taken over crime alley along numerous spots that mob bosses and criminals used as hideouts, Steppenwolf had taken city hall and official buildings leaving the league of assassins to take everything else.

"Bad time for you all to be arriving, half the city gone to hell and both sides are working together to look after everyone during this war. Luckily Enchantress has been keeping a barrier over the place for protection, sadly she's out of commission since she needs to concentrate on not getting the armies out there to notice us."

Giving them the rundown at that in the aftermath of the attacks, both communities decided to work together in order to survive and figure out a way to avoid getting killed. Meanwhile on the side was Enchantress in a meditative and having her eyes open in a creepy manner, in which she was using all her power to protect the building from outside attacks. By the window was Robin looking outside seeing the destruction happening and mostly the league of assassins fighting off the alien invaders, it caught the attention of the others as it looked weird for the boy wonder to be concern for them.

"If somehow my father stayed with mother. They could take them down together; they might have prevented this."

Talking about somewhat of a way this war could have been prevented as it left the others confused about what the boy was talking about. The only one that seem to have information about this was Harley as she looked unsure to tell the others about this.

"Seeing how it actually might look like the end of the world. I learned that our boy wonder's mom is Talia Al' Ghul, and that he's Batman's kid. Thought that be helpful with how he's looking over the distance to see the group he was born in being ripped apart.

Telling them bluntly as it left everyone shocked at how Robin had the same similarities with Karai as his ninja clan was attacking Gotham. It was a lot to take in since they had just come back from the future and now hearing that this was another parental attempt to take over the city. Coming through the doors was Superman as he was right now on crunches and looked for the first time injured as he had several bandages wrapped around him and visible bruises on his face. That didn't stop Rocksteady from running over and shaking him vigorously.

"What's happening with Power girl? Where's my future baby mama!"

Demanding to know where she was since he was concerned about his future daughter since she seemed like the only kid that liked seeing the others and himself. Everyone was surprised at his scared questioning along Superman who didn't think he'd be this with Power Girl being on her own, though he'd like if Rocksteady placed him down so that he could explain what was going on.

"She's fine. Right now she's with some of your friends, Karai and Shinigami. There are escorting civilians out of the city to avoid the fighting, but I don't that's going help much since it's gone worldwide."

Informing him that with the sun being blocked off and two alien armies going at it for control of Earth, there seemed to be no way out of this dilemma. Ivy only shook her head as she walked over to grab the map that Batgirl and placed out and showed it to the former man in steel about how they could fix this problem.

"Then let's unmake worldwide. Lex might have stored a device to reverse the effects, everyone has one in case a plan goes wrong or someone threatens them. We need to go to his tower and get it back, as well need someone who's tangled with the bastard. And since he has a hard on for you since both of you fought each other for years, you can tell us how to get in."

Assuring him that they could reverse the process and get the sun shining on Earth for him to get back to his usual god like self and other superheroes so they could handle the alien war happening. Meanwhile in the back was Harley looking at the lockers that had most of the villain's clothes locked up, she remembered handing hers to Ivy in the case she missed her since they were working separate jobs as well didn't have time to see each other. Checking out by Ivy's locker, she heard a sniffling sound coming from side as well noticing the floor appearing burnt. Taking a look she saw one of Ivy's handpicked villains for the new legion, it was Volcana as she was keeping herself hidden from everyone.

"It's all my fault. I let him use me to ruin Gotham."

Telling herself repeatedly as Harley could tell from how she was acting, this was something she'd do whenever she was responsible for Joker's antics. Whistling to Volcana to stop her from going crazy, the orange haired girl noticed the clown woman as well looking surprised at she was seeing her in this state.

"Let me guess, man trouble?"

Harley suggesting about who Volcana was blaming as the fire user nodded as this might be the reason for what was going on. Nodding to her slightly about how it might have been Luthor who caused her to end up like this since she remembered that out of the villains that Ivy picked for the new team, Volcana seemed like the eager one and fan of her.

"Lex. He told about that with Ivy missing we'd have to prove ourselves in the Legion, along how if we wanted to make an impression. I'd do something that be awesome, and I did."

Starting of how when the four had left which caused an absence in the Legion of Doom's spot, Luthor came in to possibly use the others to his advantage. Exclusively Volcana as she brought out her phone to show Harley what she did that might have caused this destruction. The Natural Disasters were in a fight with several Justice League members to help get them noticed, during the fight she got carried away and destroyed a hairspray factory. Just as it happened, Luthor fired the Earth Saver which effected the mixed spray in a lethal manner that caused the sky to darken and block out the sun.

"Maybe I wasn't cut out to be a villain if I can be fooled like that. Should have just worked at a barista, or maybe as mine tunnel turning coals into diamonds."

Thinking that she shouldn't have accepted being in the Legion as well with her idol. Seeing her in this distress and blaming herself for this disaster, Harley slapped Volcana across the face as she didn't see it coming nor that a villain would hit her for ending the world.

"The last thing I want to see right instead of the city getting destroyed a third time and having to go clean it up again, is seeing someone blaming themselves for being fucked over by an ego maniac that doesn't care about the aftermath."

Harley telling Volcana in a stern voice as she might have been the first to see Harley Quin acting serious since it wasn't common for her to act this way. Taking a moment to look into Ivy's closet, she was able to find her old clothing as well began to remove her bat clothing. Not minding that she was exposing her body to Volcana as it left the girl to blush red as she looked away for a moment for Harley to get dressed.

"Joker used to do that to me every day and I fell for it because I thought it was a chance to prove I loved him. But whenever it either work or didn't work at all, he'd throw me away like trash. Right now Luthor did it to you and the others, so we're going prove him wrong by bringing down his building and make that ball of fire shine again. Got it?"

Bringing up her moments of following someone in order to gain attention and compliments after pulling off an impossible task only to be forgotten. Seeing the bat uniform on the ground, Volcana turns around seeing Harley back in her old get up and having a confident smile on her face on taking back Gotham. Hearing her words made the orange haired woman nod confidently to her that she was ready to get back at Lex for using her and get Gotham back, getting to Luthor's tower and avoiding three armies fighting to the death was another plan they'd have to figure out.

Later-Luthor's Tower

Gathering several weaponries for the fight and passing the hordes of Triceratons and Para-demons that were flooding the streets, the gang as well the remains of the Bat family made it right at the tower. The seven were on the rooftop looking at how well maintained it was and that it was fortified with his personal Lex bots and keeping an eye out for any trespassers that tried to break in.

"Maybe Ivy can destroy the place by herself. We can look through the wreckage and find whatever button Lex has that can get our colors back."

Rocksteady suggesting since the Lex bots didn't look easy to take out as they heard a weaken groan coming from Ivy as she wasn't able to stand on her feet. The look on her face and wobbling showed that she might be one of the metahumans that needed the sunlight to use her abilities, she was about to collapse until Slash rushed over to catch her before falling as she was becoming weaker by the second.

"Fuck the stealth mission, we're going in and ending this."

Harley acting out of instinct but was stopped by Bebop as he had things covered as the warthog pointed at someone walking over to the Lex bots as means of distraction. Carrying a boombox on the right side and staring at the robots without hesitation, the figure removed his hoodie revealing to be Cock King as he pressed a button on the side and rose it in the air to get everyone's attention.

"Make way for the king!"

Announcing a battle cry which was a battle cry for the other Natural Disasters out as they came out of hiding to attack the Lex bots as each of them displayed their abilities and began ripping the machines apart. They watched Ivy's new team handling the guards while letting them sneak right pass and right into the building, right on another rooftop was Volcana as she was signaling them on finding a nearby window for them to hop through.

"When it comes to keeping people busy, got to always do it in style."

Bebop telling Harley about the diversion for Luthor's machines while they sneaked into the building and get the device. The moment of success soon went away as they saw a helicopter flying near the window that Volcana found for them to infiltrate through, the doors opened up showing Talia in a black spandex uniform and holding a custom made rocket launcher as she fired it at the window making an opening for her troops.

"Even if I'm upset that she stole Bebop's spotlight in coming up with a plan. Your mom is smoking hot."

Harley telling Robin as the boy didn't say nothing at crude compliment as he and Batgirl fried their grappling hook over to the entrance as they swooped into the destroyed window entrance. Shooting a line over for the others to climb onto, the gang traveled by the rope and avoided getting noticed by the Lex bots as they were occupied with the Natural Disaster team. Volcana flew across the building to join the others as the group made their way through the hallway while noticing numerous ninjas that were standing in their way.

"Harley. You get Ivy and the others up to the office; we and turtle will hand these pajama bastards."

Rocksteady telling her as he and Bebop along Slash would handle the ninjas in front of them while they'd reach Lex's office. The three mutants rushed at the armed men as they began to go through them and hurl them around the hallway. Their rampaging gave them the chance to make there way to Lex's personal office where they managed to avoid the traps and other method's he used to protect his credentials as the team kicked down the doors to see a surprising sight. Talia was holding what looked like the button for Lex's device and having several men around the office getting the jump on the team.

"It's upsetting that Luthor decided to leave his moment of glory and head back to the moon. Still, with the destruction he's caused is more than enough to remake Gotham into the home my grandfather desired. As well the city for both my child to rule, isn't that right beloved?"

Informing them about the billionaire making an escape back into space and claiming this was for Robin which the masked boy said nothing about it. Though what took him and Batgirl off guard was the person she was talking to as the masked man on the right removed his cover to show his face to everyone. Underneath the mask was Bruce Wayne with an emotionless look on his face as he looked at everyone who were surprised by the reveal, while Harley was trying to figure out what the connection was between him and Robin.

"Wait. Bruce is Robin's dad? Well that means Batman would be his dad, then. Oh my god I've been fighting Gotham City's favorite playboy for years when I could have married him and dumped him for his cash. Damn it all!"

Shouting at the reveal as it wasn't the point since now Talia had the button that could shut off the device and get the sun back to the planet. They couldn't try anything since Talia could destroy it with a single squeeze from his fist, in which she had them at a standoff. Though is abruptly interrupted by explosion from behind them which sent Talia and Bruce flying across the table and landing on the group.

"If anyone will have control of this planet, it will be for Darkseid!"

Declaring the claim to Earth as it came from Steppenwolf as had his Para-Demons backing him up as he aimed his war axe towards them ready to slaughter everyone for the device. Yet that got interrupted by another explosion coming from the side of the office which was Mozar who had his Triceraton troops aiming their rifles at both sides.

"This planet shall be claimed by the Triceratons after witnessing humanity's own destruction. I suggest you stand down."

Mozar stating as everyone seemed to be in trouble due to how much fire power and muscle was in the room. Though out of the commotion, Talia dropped the device as it was somewhere in the rubble that both groups had made when they crashed into the office. Realizing that it was up for grabs, they all rushed to the floor looking for the device as they were head butting with each other and attacking on another to get it. One by one they tried to grab it to only let go after getting jumped on, it continued for several minutes before it landed in one of Talia's men's hands.

"Impressive. Now you all can see even aliens know the superiority of the league of assassins."

Talia complimenting on her men for catching the device and now having control whether Earth will be shrouded in darkness or have its sun back. Looking at the device and back at everyone who waited patiently to see what he'd do; the masked assassin pressed the button which took everyone by surprise as well noticing the dark clouds outside moving away showing sunlight coming through into the city.

"Can't believe your right Bruce, they really are able to save the world without realizing it."

The assassin stating as he removed his mask revealing himself as Nightwing which shocked Harley and the others since they didn't know he was alive. Though their attention went back outside where they saw the color returning to everything as well the people in which the sun had fully returned to the planet. It also help restore Ivy back as she was able to stand back on her feet again, still confused by what was happening the others didn't notice Bebop and the mutants coming into the office to see the horror show happening.

"What, in the literal fuck. Happened? I thought Nightwing died and with his boss too, and why is everyone on the ground acting a mud fight started?"

Rocksteady questioning everything as the rhino was confused since the trio were handling the assassins for several minutes to come back to everything going back to normal, but everyone covered in dirt and Bruce Wayne near Talia's side. Moving away from her, Bruce decided to explain how this happened and the reason for being around her in the first place.

"Because it started with me and Nightwing faking our disappearance. It started after Harley and the Rocksteady joined the team; I knew it was more than trying to be good. It was out of love for Ivy, so I did an investigation about what made her change sides. Along seeing Talia returning to Gotham after she met with her at the Legion and about Luthor's weapon. We attempted to infiltrate the League but were unsuccessful, it took a while to resist Talia's manipulation skills she got from Ra's Al Ghul. We waited for both of you to come together and stop this plan from succeeding. Took a while but you coming here and causing the ruckus gave us the right moment to act."

Giving them a full explanation about how he and Nightwing faked a possible death leaving everyone worried and they stayed with the league for six days to wait for the right moment to find whatever device that might deactivate the Earth Saver. Harley and Ivy were speechless that he out of everyone in Gotham City realized they belong together than apart, as well faking the possibility of him and Nightwing dying allowing him to bring down the Earth Saver. The only thing they felt relieved that they didn't screw anything up and were part of a plan that they didn't know about. Hearing the confusing explanation and being taken as a fool by a human, Mozar lost his composure and pulled out a blaster deciding to fire it at Bruce.

"Watch out!"

Batgirl calling out as she rushed over to try and push him out of the way, though the others knew that shot could tear right through her. Before anyone could react, Bebop was the one who made it fast enough to protect Barbara as he used his body to take the shot. Only that the blast from the Triceraton weapon hit both of them, though not that much as the mutant took much of the impact. Both of them collapsed on the ground injured as their friends rushed over to see if they were alright, meanwhile the Triceraton emperor still desired to kill them all. Though Bruce looked at him and Steppenwolf with an emotionless stare of what he just saw in front of him.

"You really shouldn't have done. Because right now we got our sun back, and everyone that is powered by it. Is back on their feet, and right now the spot your standing is not where you want to be."

Warning the two of them as they heard a sonic boom coming from outside as they looked outside seeing Power girl floating with her eyes glowing red along with her cousin Superman who had his injuries healed. Ivy who was able to get back up and was able to manipulate several plants inside of the office growing instant and becoming Venus fly traps. The two alien leaders saw how they would be taken out by the three meta humans and room filled with skilled fighters and mutants, the first to stand down was Steppenwolf seeing how he knew what Superman would do when he noticed Batgirl shot.

"There's been bloodshed to honor Darkseid's name, as well knowledge to not start a war when humanity comes together. I suggest we leave Mozar."

The general advising the Triceraton as he could tell from everyone's expression, they knew no one would be leaving. Deciding to retreat the two aliens called their forces off and retreated back to either their ships or used teleportation technology to return back to wherever they came from. Meanwhile Harley and Nightwing checked out their injured friends as they went to see if they were alright, so far Batgirl didn't get hurt but she couldn't stand from the shot. Bebop wasn't shrugging it off as well not thinking it was bad.

"I'm fine boss. But my right arm isn't acting right, it's like I can't move it."

Informing her and the gang about how he somehow lost any feeling in his right arm during the shot. It was scaring him since he couldn't move it, which meant that he took Batgirl's shot and the effect from the weapon. No one knew how to react at this realization and how things were getting back to normal, but at a cost of someone losing a limb. It wasn't a victory, Luthor was in space and Ivy was going hunt him down for using her ideas and friends for his own intentions, and would make sure it was the last time anyone that was close to her was used again.
