"It wasn't fair. After returning from the future with knowledge to stopping the upcoming war that devastated the planet and killed everyone at the same time. Led to unfortunate events such as Batgirl getting shot resulting in losing most of her ability to walk, yet that wasn't nothing compared to Bebop losing his entire right arm when he took Mozar's blaster when he was enraged about being fooled by Batman who staged a fake death with Nightwing and infiltrating the league of assassins. With that happening was Ivy who decided to stage a full on frontal assault on Lex Luthor, who was apparently celebrating his birthday on the moon with none other than Mozar and Steppenwolf. Harley on the other hand was checking up on her friends at the hospital since she couldn't think about revenge at the very moment, plus that Karai threatened to stab her if she didn't check up on him since she had Shinigami join with Batman in handling the criminal activity happening in Batgirl's place."
Morning-Gotham General Hospital
Repairs had started for the city as well it getting the same help from its heroes after they got their abilities back from the sun. Things were going slow but steady enough for people to return to Gotham and their homes along hopping for the best that they weren't destroyed or looted during the chaos. More importantly that the hospital was right now overflowing with patients that needed urgent care and getting all means of treatment, even the meta human community had to help out due to resources being stretched out. In one of the rooms was Barbara Gordon who was still wearing her bat mask and Bebop sharing a room together as they were being looked over by Ms. Freeze as she enlisted on helping out the people in the hospital.
"Your fortunate child that Bebop's arm absorbed most of the weapon's impact. While you may not be able to walk for a while, your body will take a while to heal from the shot you took."
Nora explaining Batgirl's situation as she was in a difficult position due to how she needed her legs in helping the city. Though while she may be unable to walk, it wouldn't be permanent as she could get implants and other procedures to help get back on her feet. Bebop was the unfortunate one as his right arm's was X-Ray and scanned thoroughly to see if it could get repaired, only the bone seemed alright but left Bebop to not feel and do anything with it.
"Unfortunately, your condition is confusing since your arm isn't broken but disabled. Don't know how long you'll get the feeling of your right arm back, luckily. Wayne Enterprise had made a metallic cast to help you operate the arm."
The polar bear woman explaining to him the estimated time of getting his arm back as Bebop rolled his eyes since he enjoyed using his right arm. It help him many times, cracking heads and groping Karai's ass when he wanted to display authority over her. Looking over to the mutant polar bear, she brought out a metal arm cast that she placed over the warthog's right arm. It took several moments until Bebop's right arm began to move around uncontrollably as well breaking the table by his side. Nora leaves the two to rest as Bebop continued to check out his cybernetic cast as Barbara looked at the warthog as she was puzzled how he wasn't alarmed about losing feeling in his arm because of her mistake.
"Why did you save me?"
Asking him a question about his action in protecting her from getting shot as the warthog took a moment to stop fidgeting with his new arm as he noticed the look on her face. It was mixed with regret and confusion since it was her choice in saving Bruce from getting shot, she didn't ask anyone to help as it was her choice.
"Harley told me about how you didn't like her and Rocksteady being on the team. Even though they said it was to impress Power girl, you still didn't like the fact they worked with Batman. So why save someone from the same people that took your friends?"
Explaining the question to him that he disliked how they decided to leave him and Ivy to handle Legion matters while they went off to play capes and robbers with them. She thought he'd enjoy seeing her hurt for what he did, but instead saved her from getting shot by Mozar. Bebop took a moment to think about it as well remove his glasses since it seemed serious if she wanted to know why he sacrificed his arm for her.
"Because you were acting dumb."
Responding to Barbara in only five words which caught her off by surprise since she didn't expect for him to say that. Noticing the confused look on her face, the warthog noticed how it was his turn to try and explain why he said that since she believed what she did was out of the safety for her teammate.
"Batman left you confused, messed up and thinking he as well bird boy was killed. Leaving you to pick up the pace and look after the city, which got screwed over no offense. Yet he came into the credit after hiding away with that woman of his, only for you to get shot because you see him as your boss."
Informing Batgirl of how Batman went off without saying anything and leaving her to handle Gotham as well two alien invasions thinking that she'd be alright, leading up to him to come in at the last second to clean up things and take the credit it. While it might have been wrong for him to say that, technically he was right. She wasn't informed about the plan and not expecting things to go wayward when Gotham went to war, it was much for her to think about along if she could trust Bruce again after this. Bebop noticed how the kid was having a midlife crisis or possibly a breakdown in trusting heroes since they hide secrets, the warthog realized he might have messed with her ideals and thought he should say something positive.
"But that doesn't mean every hero is a jerk. I mean my man Rocksteady is dating Power girl and Superman is basically buddies, but not best friends cause I'm his best friend. What I'm trying to say is you should maybe start looking after yourself now, or at least find people that'll acknowledge you."
Offering that she do what he did with Rocksteady and leave Batman's side to find her own place in being a hero. Otherwise she'd be his sidekick and not in the spotlight where she could show others how Batgirl could be a hero that people could inspire to be than just the dark knight. The two shared a moment of silence before they heard the door breaking open which was done by Slash, who had several boxes filled with items that Barbara liked along stuff animals she gave him when he stayed at her home.
"Me get all animal friends to help make you feel better. Even fluffy batty bear."
The mutant turtle telling Barbara which made the red head embarrassed since she noticed how Bebop chuckled at her having stuffed animals. Though it was cut shortly when Karai came in with a stuff animal of a basketball bear, he had as she walked over to check up on him. Coming in was Harley who had a rolling tray with several bowls of soup and Jello as she passed it to her friends.
"Had to fight a nurse for it, but it's defiantly worth it to help you both get back on your feet. Cause I need my friends with me if we're going after Lex and his war mongering friends."
Informing them that she wanted the pair prepared since she was on board with Ivy's plan in going after the billionaire villain as well the Triceraton emperor who was the reason they were in bed. Closing the door shut and making sure it was locked, Harley walked over to pull out a rolled up plan of them fighting the pair who were currently on the moon.
"While you two were resting peacefully. Ivy and June have been hell bent on finding a way to screw over Lex since he escaped Earth, most of the hero community can't go near him since an all out fight could break the moon and mess up the planet."
Explaining about what the whereabouts of Luthor as it seemed impossible for anyone to go after him since he had half of the Triceraton empire protecting him since they were participating in his birthday. Seeing this made Bebop excited since he wanted to break the bald headed man for screwing over his town and wanting to see if his arm could break a Triceraton's horn in one snap. Meanwhile for Barbara, wasn't exactly up for traveling to the moon due to her condition plus that it was dangerous for her or anyone to go up there.
"While I would go against her idea, he made us all into nothing but sacrifices for those beasts. Most of Harley's group has run thin and Ivy's people have decided to keep a distance from her due to how she left them during the fall. All except for Volcana who's surprising loyal to her due to her being responsible for what happened, wouldn't mind if we had assistance."
Karai informing Batgirl that most of the team was either taking a step back from the fight or rebuilding what was lost during the conflict. With what she saw as well experienced during the attacks and losing most of her ability to do anything, she looked at Harley with a questionable look about how this started and being revolved around Ivy since she learned about her idea for socially conscious evil.
"If your asking for help I want to know one thing. Was Ivy's plan involved helping the Earth or destroy it?"
Questioning the clown woman's wife about how Ivy had the idea of helping out the earth in the attempt that it could allow villains in continuing to commit crimes across numerous cities. Harley, herself was just as left in the dark as Barbara was since she wasn't involved in the plan Ivy was doing. Seeing the look on her face about the situation and seeing how Harley was clueless and didn't know about the idea of what Ivy sought after.
"Honestly? I hope it might be making a new Eden somewhere to grow back plants after Shredder stole her plan, but honestly? The last thing she'd want would be to destroy Earth. She's fought her whole life for plant life and people to be aware of what's happening, right now? The one thing she wants is to kick the ever loving shit out of Lex, and right now she needs help."
Pleading to Barbara that Ivy didn't intentionally want this to happen but help support plant life while working on getting villains to continue in their careers of villainy and crime. While she knew much of her and not Ivy, Harley could tell that the plant woman had no interest in harming human life unless it involved aiding fauna life. Looking at the window seeing several people talking about how Batman and Nightwing were able to stop the device and help get back the sun, she needed to prove herself she could be more than just a teammate.
"I can't do anything on my feet, but I still have technical skills to hack into almost anything. But it won't do anything good unless you have a proper plan."
Insisting she'd offer technical assistance but thought how they would infiltrate Lex's birthday and manage to avoid getting noticed by Triceraton soldiers since they seemed interested in the takeover of Earth. Just as it seemed they were unable to figure it out, they noticed by the doorway June who appeared tired and out of breath from helping out Ivy with finding a means to get to the moon.
"Hey guys. Is it possible I could lay low here. Ivy's back at the Legion turning in her resignation and flipping off everyone before we somewhat travel to the moon, while Enchantress could do it. She's worn out from looking after everyone when half of the heroes were unable to use their powers or relied on their natural skills in helping the on her ear pods to listen to her music, Harley was able to think of an idea that would best represent them and convince Luthor that they were still jokes to him. Rushing over to check on what songs June was listening to; she was able to recognize the band as well smiled in a sly gesture seeing how a plan was forming in her head. Along how she was going get back at Luthor and Mozar for what happened and turn them into examples of what happens when they cross paths with her.
Later-Luthor's Moon Base
When the Earth had become a battlefield and his resources worn out, Luthor decided to leave the planet to let be ravaged by Apokolips and the Triceraton Empire while he would watch the view and wait for the right moment to return and help with the rebuilding. Though not before to celebrate his birthday party and invite numerous individuals like himself that could survive the downfall of Earth and benefit from its destruction. Within the base was several banners and meals set out for his guests, right now Lex was looking outside to see the sun shining back on his planet after the effects of his ray deactivating.
"You said that I would be able to take the planet and revenge for what Ivy as well cretens had done to the empire."
Mozar talking from behind him as the human looked at the estranged dinosaur who was upset about this humiliation he had taken after escaping the humans from launching a counterattack upon him and his people. Seeing the anger brewing from him, Luthor puts on a charming smile and escorted him back to his party.
"I did, but it's not my fault that Batman sneaked in at the last second to ruin everything. Though rest assured we can get back at that together, with me getting access to your technology and helping you show the rest of your people that you should be the new emperor."
Responding to his thirst in getting the humans and mutants for humiliating them and leaving Mozar to fight Adam Strange as well his planet of Rann. Making their way to the lobby, the pair saw numerous of Triceraton and criminals enjoying the festivities and talking about new ways in conquering either their cities or countries on Earth. Walking over to get drinks for them, Mozar only kept his guard up since he wasn't as carefree as the human who was enjoying his party.
"And what of Apokolips? Aren't you affiliated with Steppenwolf and praised him on his warfare along grudge with the Kryptonation, Superman."
Bringing up a touchy subject for him since the relationship he's had in the past with Steppenwolf as well the Para-demons was rough to explain since they cared about was the Earth being there's to conquer. Along with Superman who smirked at bringing up his arch enemy as he didn't need to think about the blue boy scout anymore.
"They'll be handled soon enough. For now enjoy the catering and what Earth has to offer you, once we settle up on our partnership."
Easing him to relax and enjoy his birthday since it was more of a way in forming an alliance than anything else since his usual birthday's would be filled with rich people trying to offer him deals that he'd settle in and buying out the company. Just the Triceraton took his suggestion and try one of the manmade drinks, they heard a muttering from the guests as the two powerful men took a look and saw a surprising guest coming in. The Enchantress, who was wearing a jade gown and golden shades to show off her presence as well bringing in a large present that was clearly for human of the hour.
"Lex Luthor. While this does call for a quote from a movie I enjoy with June and a plaything of ours, I was offended that you didn't offer me an invitation."
Greeting the birthday boy along noticing how most of the Triceratons were snarling at her since she smelled familiar to each of them. Though the immortal witch growled at them which caused the dinosaurs to move away as their intimidating nature quickly shrunk away after seeing how monstrous she could be.
"Apologies Enchantress, with what I heard you did for the Legion and my guests trying to destroy it. I thought it best you'd rest, a powerful being like yourself should enjoy the little things in life."
Apologizing for not inviting her as he had plan to redecorate the base once it was destroyed along not expecting it to be protected. The witch merely laughs lightly as she flicks her finger at the present to which she brings it over for everyone to see within the lobby. Mozar didn't trust the uninvited guest seeing how she possessed a threat to his people, but Luthor assured him that he had something if she tried anything.
"Funny you should mention that. Because I've recently taken a liking to human music and have recently enjoyed it, especially this group I caught that made me fascinated with them. A Pop band I believe they are, there name is KDA."
Responding to Luthor's query of which caught his attention and the other guests since most of them were fans of the band. Deciding to see if she had captured the actual band for his own amusement, Lex allowed Enchantress as she had everyone move away for them to let the present open up. The sides opened up with smoke coming out first blinding the company and making it impossible to see through the commotion as it quickly began to fade away. Out of the smoke they saw around eight people hiding in the oversized box was Harley and Ivy who had with them Karai, Volcana and Power Girl who were all wearing clothing that represented the pop band. The three with the female band was Bebop, Rocksteady and Slash wearing colorful garments like the women as well posing for the party as they saw numerous villains and Triceratons surprised at their appearance.
"Hey Outlaws, should we show them how we do party every day?"
Harley asking the band and winking to Enchantress to start them off as the witch looked over at several of Luthor's speakers and machines that played his music. Waving her finger at the devices, she changed the music to their theme which caught the part off guard. Getting into the rhythm of it and letting the music guide them, the eight quickly rushed out to attack Luthor and Mozar's people head on.
"Ivy that girl, Ivy go grr, Ivy don't stop, Ivy don't skrrt. Ivy got a job, Ivy got to work. Always on fire, don't get burnt."
Harley starting off to sing as she was armed with two baseball bats and smashing numerous of the men's faces and spinning about like a ballerina. Dodging bullets and lasers from the party guests, she was quickly protected by Rocksteady who blocked the shots with his body.
"I'm giving you more than a buffet; I'm slaying all day like I'm Buffy. I scoot in and school on my huffy, you up against me that's a rough day."
Singing his part as he hurled his sledgehammer against the shooters sending them flying in midair to hit the ground as he smiled at his swinging. Looking over to see if Power girl saw his attack, he was taken by surprise by one of the guests as he got jumped. Feeling the attackers on him as well the weight of the Triceratons, one of them aimed a blaster at his face preparing to shoot him. It was cut short by Bebop slicing through the weapon with his chainsaw and taking the alien out, he starts helping out his friend and fends off the other attackers.
"I'm giving you more because I'm greater than. I don't do mathematics, I hated them. But all of my numbers are talking, babe. Got money like Mrs. Wayne."
Telling him and Karai who was slicing past the armed guards that were station around the lobby as well protecting Luthor and Mozar. Harley noticed the guards as she leapt over Rocksteady to start attacking them while avoiding getting shot at with the help of the three, it was a full-on battle royale as the guests either tried to escape Ivy's wrath or try to kill them for the reputation would be built from each of their deaths.
"Got more like I'm doing addition real money, and I don't need no one to give me permission. Go get it, go get it, go get it the mission. You never look at me and say something's missing because I got it different!"
Harley singing out as she made past her way through the guards to reach Luthor but was cut short by a backhand from one of Lex's robots that were brought for extra security. Getting caught by Ivy's vines, the group circled up together seeing the mechanical guards lining up to keep the eight from escaping. Though Ivy however had enough time to make the plants that Lex had potted around by the windows to grow large enough to form vines at it caught everyone's attention and admire her powers.
"All I'll ever know is life up on a throne! I don't do the middle or a little you want."
Pausing for a moment to keep everyone in suspense and gesturing the others to take cover as she hurled the vines at the machines as well having any remaining guests hitting the windows. With that motion, the group began to dance in sync to both make fun of the guests as well as enjoy the moment they each were having with one another.
"More! Know I got it, so here you go! You look like you could use some more, Know I got it and never running low!"
The five women started singing in unison along putting on a show for the guests as the Triceratons that were still around decided to rush them. They were stopped by the three mutants who held them off as well letting them continue the performance, seeing how it was the only way for them to keep focus and not distracted by the criminals and alien dinosaurs trying to kill them.
"Yeah, I got more than enough, add it up and away. You know I got it like bomb-bomb, blow your mind! Never givin' less and that's how it'll stay. You know I got it like all day, all the time!"
Stating to them as they heard a beeping sound coming from the hallways as they saw how Lex was going to make his escape from the moon again and possibly hitch a ride with Mozar. They chased after him as they saw the duo running down the hallways as the gang saw it filled with Triceraton warriors with melee weapons blocking the path for them. Karai decided to take lead as she armed her sword and rushed into the group beginning her attack.
"When I got it's for gold. Yeah, they cool, but I'm cold. I don't fit in the mold. I'm a rebel!"
Adding her voice to the song and leaping pass the Triceratons as she was slashing either their weapons or limbs making sure they were unable to stand back up. The group watched the kunoichi moving like lighting and being untouchable, though as she reached the door, she saw a larger Triceraton with bone armor holding a club with spikes preparing to crush her. Luckily Slash rushed over to block the attack as he slams his mace towards the warrior's face, using the turtle as a shield. Karai did several attacks on his legs and striking at any vital points of the body while Slash continued on fighting him face first.
"I don't do what you say, making moves I don't wait. While I smile in your face, I got different DNA!"
Telling the Triceraton as the duo was able to bring down the brute and sending him into what looked like the docking bay where half of the Triceraton troops were stationed. Rushing in to try and located the men, they were unaware by what seemed to be a large robot that appeared Triceraton and having numerous weapons targeted on them. Raising one of its arms and preparing to drop on them, Power girl flew up in midair stopping the attack as well feeling the weight coming downwards on her.
"What's higher than the top, that's me. Come take a look before falling at my feet. Cause that's the only drop they'll be, So take a look better recognize a queen."
Singing her part as she used her strength to rip the arm off the machine's body. Spinning it around and concentrating on not letting go, she hurled the severed limb into its chest as the gang watched the robot coming down. Taking a look to see if it was staying down, it let out a signal alerting other Triceraton robots as they began coming out of the walls staring at the eight individuals and making their way towards them.
"All I'll ever know is life up on a throne! I don't do the middle or a little you want."
Stopping at her sentence as she gestured the others to cover there ears as she delivered a thunde clap that caused most of the robots to either fall apart or became firing off weapons at random shooting at everything around them. Not taking the chance they made a run down the bridge avoiding the falling machinery around them.
"More! Know I got it, so here you go! You look like you could use some more, Know I got it and never runnin' low!"
Continuing the song as it was to help them not lose their focus in avoiding the machines trying to crush them. While it was frightening to almost be killed by alien technology, Harley began to laugh at how she missed causing this much destruction with friends as the others did the same. Looking over to the tunnel where it might lead to Lex's personal chambers where he might be hiding at.
"Yeah, I got more than enough, add it up and away. You know I got it like bomb-bomb, blow your mind! Never givin' less and that's how it'll stay. You know I got it like all day, all the time!"
Rushing down through the tunnel and keeping balance from how the destroyed robots were making the base shake. They arrived to what seemed to be Lex's personal space which was spacious and large enough for him to live in if he had to escape Earth's heroes and government. Looking around the place to see if either he or Mozar had escape, it seemed that place was left untouched and nothing being moved.
"Way out. Feeling like an ocean, on the wave now. Feeling like I'm floating, never weighed down. This is how I do it every day, wow, wow."
Volcana singing her part as she felt nervous at how quiet things had gotten as well that there was no sign of them. Taking a moment to breath from the excitement she had been in, she looked over at a statue of Luthor and decided to melt it for payback on what he did to her. It caused something to go off as the room begun to expand upon itself as well getting the eight to move together confused about what might be happening as it seemed like a trap. Just as it seems the room might have been a trap; they see two entrances opening as it showed Luthor and Mozar in battle armor that were both fashioned in the same versions that battled Superman. Beginning to fly in the air, the pair looked at the group smiling at how they planned to rip them to pieces.
"But I know, I know. You want some more; I know what you been asking for. I know I know; you want some more. If you ready, let's go givin' it all!"
Harley waiting for the right moment as she looked over to Karai as the Foot ninja threw a smoke bomb that was big enough to blind Lex and Mozar from seeing them. Moving fast in two groups, Harley who led with Ivy as well Volcana and Power girl rushed at Luthor while Karai and the mutants handled the Triceraton emperor.
"More! Know I got it, so here you go! You look like you could use some more, Know I got it and never runnin' low!"
Each of them singing a part of the song as well not holding back at the power armored enemies. From the mutants using their brute strength and Karai's speed to catch Mozar off guard to Harley and the others using their unpredictable fighting styles to overpower Lex.
"Yeah, I got more than enough, add it up and away. You know I got it like bomb-bomb, blow your mind! Never givin' less and that's how it'll stay. You know I got it like all day, all the time!"
Finishing the song along doing the impossible in destroying the men's suits as well keeping a look out for any emergency reinforcements that might call on. While the others kept an eye out, Luthor who was trying to get back up looked at Harley and Ivy as he couldn't help but be amused by coming after him and ruining his birthday.
"I'm surprised at this gift, really. Seeing how you two didn't know what exactly you wanted from your lives, Ivy trying to get the recognition she's ignored to now to do anything for it. While you Harley, can't figure out what she wants to be. A villain, hero, boss, or even wife. All of you don't know what you are!"
Shouting at them and calling out how they had change alignments from fighting villains to heroes and causing both sides equal chaos at the same time. Hearing that made Ivy along Bebop and Rocksteady want to crush him due to how he could continue to talk back at them even after taking out his hostile guests and Triceraton forces. Harley however stopped them as she wouldn't mind answering his question, to which she aimed her baseball bat at his head and understanding what she was after what she had witnessed over the past few weeks.
"I know exactly who I am, I'm Harley fucking Quinn. Wife to Poison Ivy and friend to Bebop and Rocksteady, which is enough for me after learning about my kid in the future. As well that you might need to think of yours with the new help we got after your Barney dinosaur wannabee shot her."
Informing him about what she is as well adding another part that took him off by surprise as she pulled out her phone showing the stock news showing Lex's business losing money. More importantly that it was being transferred to communities across Gotham city as well it coming out of the Legion of Doom's funding as well. He had financially lost his money and his villain organization, the video changed to showing Batgirl with a laptop as well waving at him as she was the one responsible for the money transference.
"Thanks to Luthor Enterprise and the LOD's generous donations to the city. Everyone will be able to get back all their money from the attacks you let happen, as well becoming a humanitarian without needing anything in return."
Mocking him about how Lex always showed himself as a man that wanted to help the people. Now with the 'generous' act he displayed; people will thank him for his actions. Though this felt like a defeat even more than what Superman does to him, before he could use one of his weapons that still seemed operational. A boom tube portal appeared from behind them which showed a shadowy figure as Ivy recognized him as Steppenwolf, who looked at the sight of destruction as well the two women and mutants standing over a beaten Lex Luthor.
"As I promised Steppenwolf. The 'human' that went against Darkseid on his claim for the Earth, along that this is my last gift before my resignation from the Legion of Doom. We're still on for couple's night?"
Ivy presenting the Apokolips general an offering for him as well a prisoner for the New God to torment as Steppenwolf acknowledge it and smiled at how they had displayed the display of warfare to him. Going over to pick up Lex, the general activated the boom tube and took the human back to his infernal home world. While they saw one of the Earth's powerful men being taken, Enchantress was by the side recording the whole thing with a smile as the others noticed the immortal witch taking in the moment.
"This is one for the photos of accomplishments you've all done. Now, what do you have plan for with Mozar?"
Smiling at the sight of how four lonely criminals had become an unstoppable force when they concentrate on one goal and lead a group that could rival anyone in their way. The last part made the four look over to see Mozar being the only one left as well kept from escaping by Power girl and Slash who used their immense strength to keep him at place. Bebop only chuckled at her question as he gripped his right fist thinking of several things he planned to do.
"Just me. I got some ideas for horn breath there, and for everyone to have a piece of him for trashing Gotham. As well paying him back for giving me this metal arm and putting Batgirl in the hospital."
Summarizing what he had in mind as the four smiled at Mozar in a devious manner at type of torture they'd put him to. While Karai would speak with Batgirl on bringing in any superheroes to the moon to notify that it was available, Enchantress saw how Volcana was surprised how things went and them beating Luthor and Mozar as well making fools out of them. She walked over to whisper several words that took the red head by surprised as the two needed a girl conversation away from possibly the hour of beating and wounding that Mozar would be going through.
Night time-Noonan's Bar
Hours had passed since the sneak attack on Luthor's moon base as well taking him down and half of the Triceraton empire. News had hit about how the 'Justice League' came in to handle the empire as well discussing a peace agreement due to several Lanterns that knew interstellar laws on alien governments. It was also a way to keep Harley and the others out of the news since they wanted to stay in the dark for this certain triumph. While that was going on, Enchantress took the fiery rookie that Ivy had taken in and placed in her Natural Disasters team to Noonan's bar for her to talk with about something personal.
"Ivy doesn't want me around?"
Asking June who was taking Enchantress's place since the talk needed to be handled by someone who could understand emotions and not appear threatening. Possibly to help explain to Volcana about why it seemed Ivy wanted to keep her a distance from her as well the others.
"It's not because she blames you for what happened when they left. She and Harley need quality time together, including the boys since their girlfriends want to talk about their 'relationships' goals."
Explaining that the stress and secrets that the gang had made between one another had caused them to have problems as well allow them to look at each other differently. While she was already involved with a world ending situation and able to make up for what happened, Ivy didn't want her to be around them for her own safety. Volcana didn't understand it since she was both bloodthirsty, independent as well didn't mind getting her hands dirty. She lowered her head about the answer since it wasn't her but them dealing with problems she hasn't either encountered or dealt with due to how she was new to the villain life.
"I didn't think it happen like this. My life really, one minute I'm working as an waitress at a roller skating fast food joint. Next I burn it down after someone calls me 'chica' for how hot my attitude is. Then coming here to Gotham after hearing the stories of Ivy taking over the place and getting her spot on the LOD as leader. Thinking that I could stand by her side, only to now cause things to go downhill and everything to shit. But that's what life is, a volcano that's waiting to blow up and ruining everything around them."
Describing what sounded like her backstory and finding her powers out of instinct as well developing a interest in villainy, leading up to her working on a career that would let her be noticed and join others that shared her interest and knew the potential she could offer for other villains like herself. Knowing the type of situation she was going through, June herself had her own dealings with powers that she didn't realize as well working with someone that was older than history itself.
"No one is ever ready for changes, I wasn't when I became a host for the Enchantress. I thought I'd have no friends due to how she would either curse them or seduce them, that was until I got the message from Bebop about a place he wanted his friends to move into. At the time, me and Enchantress had only remained at that mall because it could distract her from terrorizing the city. Soon enough, we both became attached to the gang than we ever thought. But it does come at a price that involves tons of drama and confusion, which Ivy knew didn't want you to be involved in."
Informing her how that it only takes one person to have their entire life change from either the better or worse. Including how with what she's been through as seen from Harley and the mutants life, the last thing Ivy wanted to have was being someone to get dragged in and have their entire life messed up. It might have been cruel for her to not tell her, but seeing how the plant user had become consumed with power given to her by Luthor, she had to change and make sure to not let anyone get hurt by her actions. With the two women continuing to drink, they heard the door opening as well a familiar face coming over to greet them as it was the new owner of the bar, Kiteman.
"June! It's been a while seeing you again, been busy with buying the place that I haven't had the chance to invite you and old gang here."
Greeting them with his casual attitude she remembered him to be as Kite man greeted Volcana since she was new to him as well. Seeing how it was time to tell her the reason for being here, she pulled out a envelope that had signatures from Harley, Ivy as well the mutants for Kite man which she hands it to him.
"That envelope is a resume for Volcana to start working here. She's a upbeat woman and needs a new place to work after the Legion defunct again."
Explaining what was in it which caught Volcana off guard as Kite man was curious about for June's action as he checked the envelope to see her resume. Seeing how she was good at handling orders and being a living magma woman, she'd seem perfect for a place that would serve villains as well any other criminals that would want to take a break here. Especially how there was around several thousand dollars that gang had managed to take from Luthor's enterprise after they took him down.
"While the money can help with getting new beverages as well food for the kitchen. I wouldn't mind bringing in new people to help out, especially if it helps a friend of Ivy's."
Accepting the offer and seeing that the more help that Noonan's got the better since he would need assistance to running the bar. Meanwhile for Volcana, she was speechless that even after what happened and thinking there was no place for her to work. Ivy was able to do one last thing that could help her find a new path that wouldn't get dragged into type of danger caused by them.
"We both worked on it while trying to find Lex. She showed it to the others after beating up Mozar, they wanted to make sure out of the people we screwed over. You wouldn't get dragged with us."
Informing her how it was planned that while most of the Natural Disasters team would have a way to get back on their feet. Volcana had it specially handled as well placed somewhere that wouldn't be to chaotic, she held back tears from how kind this was and the Outlaws helping her out. It resulted in her shedding lava tears from her face which burned most of the counter table.
"Don't worry I got it!"
Kite man panicking at the sight and went to grab the fire extinguisher to put it out as it made Volcana laugh at how it seemed impossible for her to get a new place to work after what she'd done to Gotham. June gave her a tap on the shoulders hopping for the best as well seeing how she would be perfect to work with Kite man as well the other patrons of Noonan's bar before heading out. Walking pass several mirrors she noticed her reflecting changing to Enchantress, as she looked at her host with a serious expression on her face.
"Why do you look upset? Even after what happened with the gang splitting up it turned out alright, things are back to normal and for once. We helped someone go on a path that won't end up like us."
Questioning the glare that she was receiving as it appeared that out of all the nonsense she was apart of and it turning out alright, she wasn't happy. Which wasn't like her since the Enchantress either always had things controlled or events would turn out in her favor, though there seemed to a change to the situation.
"Darkseid's angry."
Saying only two words that changed June's entire mood from peaceful to terrified as the last thing to hear out of the chaos that happen was making one of the new gods angry. Especially somehow who's been with him before becoming a host for Enchantress, still it made no sense for either anyone to make Darkseid upset.
"With what Harley and the others had done may have declared them as well the entirety of Earth a rival to his authority. He has begun selecting his warriors to handle the matter, including mutants."
Warning June that he had begun choosing his war raised children and possibly mutants like Bebop and Rocksteady to come to Earth and make it known it was his world to own. While June could see the look in her eyes of how it wasn't a joking matter, underneath it was a hidden plot she had conducted by herself.
"What did you do?"
Questioning the witch's actions as she pointed over where June looked at Noonan's bar as well how she had place most of her magic around the structure to get the attention of Darkseid and his followers to the building. June, looked speechless at this action as well saw how Enchantress made Kite man's establishment a target for the new god.
"If you think I'm doing this for Harley and the gang than your completely mistaken. I see a path for Ivy's ex lover and the people he has assembled, they will be alright. For now there urgent threats need looking into, such as needing to be ready for a fight coming."
Explaining her reason for putting Kite man as a vanguard for Darkseid's interest of Earth as there another issue they had to look into. Which had June on edge since she could feel the witch's fear of what she might be involved with along the others, though it still didn't change her perspective of letting Enchantress make Noonan's bar a distraction for Darkseid. Looking back at the place and noticing Volcana being welcomed by the employees of the bar, June lowered her head in sadness and walked away hopping for the best and safety they survive Darkseid's encounter, since she along the gang would be busy by what seemed to be a dark future awaiting the outlaws.
