Chapter 6 Hermione Birthday
School was great she love having Tutor it was better then in Muggle world but she new the feeling of losing her parents will be soon hitting her. But The worst that it was to feel when was the closer to her birthday Narcissa made everything to have a great time for her they will go and visit the Muggle world and see some museum but the fact is that she miss her parents so much. "Hermione" Draco ask after she hear her cry in the library " If you feel this too hard for you just tell Mother. I understand we're not the family you had before but know that your love by all of us" She nood and used the silk tissue that Draco have given her.
"My 10's birthday is Tomorrow but all I did today was to cry like there no end to this. But I miss them, I do love Narcissa and Lucius and you Draco but this week it hit me" She say then took the bear. "I will be better tomorrow I just need to be strong" She say then hug the comfort item that was still need it on hard days. Today she ask if they could take a break of school but now she think It was a mistake because it was making her more sad.
"I'm tired of seeing you cry could we do something that could Cheer you up" He say looking at her and then he took her hand and walk toward the manior Garden. "I want to show you something that the Malfoy are taking care of and I think you will like to see" He walk and still holding her hand and then walk toward the stables that was holding the surprise.
"Unicorns" she say and then look at them it was beautiful "We take care of them since they are in danger, the malfoy created a conservation but these are some of the one that are tame for breading and also conservation but they are free most of them was lost family or some was really badly hurt." He say touching one she was also giving love to them. "They are beautiful, so pure and beautiful" She say and then start petting them " Would like to help me feed them, normally the elf come and help but I told them we will do it" She nood and then follow Draco inside of the barn. "Could you grab the bucket give one of the bucket of food par stall and I will show you the rest" She smile and then grab 2 buckets started to place it on the feeder inside of stall. "Like that?" She ask and he nood
They took a hour to finish to feed the unicorn and the elf did come and help them. She pet and felt the love of all the animal around her. It was great way to spend a afternoon that was gloomy and sad for her to Happy and with no tears. When Dinner Time came she told the story what they did in the afternoon Narcissa was happy to see the smile that she was missing for last couple of days back. When Hermione when to bed and hug the bear she dream of Unicorns, Draco and her having the afternoon with fun and joy.
When she woke up there was a ton of gifts around her bed. Today was her Birthday and she dosent want to cry. "Good Morning Millie" She say and then she look at the room full of Gifts. "Millie could bring the Gifts down to the Parlours except the clothes that Narcissa wanted me to wear today" She say and Millie look and then Left only 3 packets on her bed. She started opening the gifts " A dress " she say but a beautiful Blue dress that made her want just put on with star , moon and shooting star. It was so beautiful. Then so open the next box a charm for her bracelet it was a sapphire for her birthday. Also in the next box was pair thigh and the matching shoes to the dress. She jump to take a shower and get herself ready. She call on Millie to do her hair and went down for breakfast the elf ask her what she wanted for breakfast last night.
"Pancake with fruits" she came to plate full of them and she wish a good morning to Lucius and Narcissa "Happy Birthday Hermione" Lucius say and he give her a tiny box to open " I see that Millie brought your gift in the Parlour as your request I think you want to have us see you open them that is nice" He say and then she nood " Happy Birthday Hermione Dear" She also hand her a birthday gift " Thank you is okay if I open it after I eat" She smile and they say it was fine.
A couple minutes later after she came Draco came "Happy Birthday Hermione" He also say and then give her a package. "Thank you Draco I will open it after I finish this breakfast" It took her couple of minutes she talk with Narcissa and Lucius for the plan for their day in London. "We books some museums for us to visit also For dinner we are going to Diagon Ally Finest Restaurant" Lucius say and then after she finish her last bite she clean her face and then look at the boxes. "I will open them" The first one was small but wrapper was so beautiful. When she open the box it was neckless when she open it was the photos of her parents and hers and then with a french phrase Toujours avec toi. "Thank you Lucius" She came to him and give him a kiss on his cheek. "I thought this will be way for you always have them with you" She smile and place it back. Then she open the other box it was for Narcissa it beautiful Journal with her name in grave on in "This for you to write when it normal when you turn 10 to give a witch a journal this will be the one for you write all the way to last year at Hogwarts"
She open the last one which was draco it was small box for a set of quill "These are self ink so you dont need a have ink always with you since they are already fill " She kiss narcissa on the cheek and also Draco "Thank you everyone I think , will go in the Parlour to open the rest of the gifts.
She open Books, Dress, Jewlerys, Cards ,money , Ticket for show and Quidditch mostly lots of wizarding stuff also some of the member of her Muggle family send her some stuff mostly news books. She was so happy but the day was just started really this was just beautiful the last gift she open was a training broom "Next week we have a Flying Teacher Coming to teach you how to fly it always important for a witch and wizard to learn how to fly" Lucius say to her and she nood. She did see Draco fly time to time but she wanted a expert to show her before she give it a go.
"We are leaving at in 20 minutes for the Muesem and tours you wanted also bring the cards you got we also will do bit of shopping in London" Narcissa say and then Hermione ask Millie and Dobby to help her bring everything in her room. "Yes Narcissa I just going put my new stuff in my room could ask the elfs to place it while we gone" She ask and Narcissa did let the elf know she left her room taking her day bag that she got in her gift today and a coat for the day in London it maybe the last day of summer but today it was cold and a coat was recommended.
She saw everyone downstair getting ready to take the floo to London. They will stop at the Ministry of Magic since it was closer to them to go at there then Diagon Ally. This was also the first time at ministry and Lucius did tell them that will visit some the places inside of it Because it Hermione first time.
So when they arrived she was happy to see they arrived in Lucius office "Welcome to my Office Hermione this where I work most of days" He say the office was beautiful she thought of one that see in picture of the Queen. They follow Lucius toward a office it say Office of Minister of Magic "Lucius" The man say and they look at the Family "Lady Malfoy , young Malfoy and Miss Davenfort-Granger welcome I was told by Lucius that Today is your Birthday Miss Davenfort-Granger I hope you have great one you're almost at the age to go at Hogwarts" The tiny man say and then look at him "Thank you Minister" Lucius look at him "Thank you Minister to for saying hello, I will be back tomorrow" The minister laugh and then touch Lucius shoulder "Enjoy your time with your Family and Hermione I hope you have a wonderful Birthday" The man left with his team and then Lucius walk toward the lift. "Hold down thigh" He say and then she follow the order this was lift ride was worst then a rollcoster. She turn a bit green "Are you okay Hermione" Narcissa ask."I was not expecting it I will be fine" When her foot touch solid ground she felt much better.
"Sorry we should told you that the lift are different then the one the Muggle use" She say and then took a couple of breath the colour was back to normal. "Draco had same experience the first time you will get used to it " Lucius say and then walk toward the main hall the place was full of wizard and also where the Journal The Prophet was publish. "This where the gorvement is happening most the law of wizarding worlds is made in here" He pointed at the Giant building."Beside the Ministry this the headquarters The Prophet and many magazine" He pointed a the other building and then they walk toward a Phone booth "You will go with Narcissa" He say then her and Narcissa took the Phone booth "It will go up" She enter and then Narcissa joined her she pick up the phone and then the platform raise up when she open the Booth she and Narcissa was in the middle of London. They exit the booth and Draco and Lucius came up too "Wow that was fun I much prefer this then other Lift" Everyone laugh.
They look so beautiful to just walk it was a monday her birthday this year normally Museam are close on Monday. But Lucius say that wont be a problem They arrived inside Royal Academy of Art" The people was standing and smiling then "The Malfoy Family you're here for the private tour" The lady at door say "Yes" Lucius says and then they enter "Welcome to Academy take your time" There was no one at the museum and Draco and Hermione started to look at the Art. It was so beautiful this was her first time going to a museum without any of the public. She enjoy look at the art but the one she wanted to visit the most was the British museum. So They took 2 hours to look at the art and the painting that Academy had to offert them.
After they walk a bit more and then same thing happen when they came to a secret door th Britsh Muesum. This time it was so Empty of people but she enjoy looking at the History this time they had a Witch that also introduce them to Magical item that the museum have. What dose this museum dont have. "If any of you have question you could ask me" Also the stop at the Birtish museum was also given a Lunch at their fancy Cafe. "The Ministry send Auror to guard this museum no one could get in but you will see later when we will go to London Tower that they are equip the same but it was a deal with Royal Family to protect the Royal Jewls and also Britian Gems and art." He pointed at guard with an extra baton on him that was his wand. "I see so that how the crown was able to stay protected and also the queen is staying safe because she have witches and wizard plus the police to help her" He nood and then they stop near the cafe.
Lunch was a 3 course of soup , sandwiches and deserts which was a great way to stop in middle of museum. The Lunch they talk about what they saw and what was their favourite exhibition that they seen so far. Hers was the magical artifact that she never saw when she went with her parents. "Are you enjoying your day dear" Narcissa ask and she smile "I'm really happy this really Fun thank you for bringing me to see the Museum" She say and then Draco told that is favourite part was a painting and they eat thiers lunch and continue into other part of the British Muesum.
They spend a part of the afternoon in the Britsh Muesum and then the family walk to the Rich part of London "You and Narcissa have a appointment in a store me and Draco will be going to shop around" Lucius say and then Hermione smile "Would like to spend a bit of time with me ?" Narcissa say and then Hermione came closer "Yes Narcissa" She went big name brand of the muggle world. "I want you have a good style for when you come here so I plan to get you best of the best for you every year" She say and then they enter at Channel.
"Lady Malfoy" the manager say and then she look at Hermione "is that your daughter" Hermione look at Narcissa "Yes, she my adopted Daughter today is her birthday today we here for having a complete new set clothes and also made her look the best she could be" Narcissa say and then sale rep smile and the Hermione was drag to the dressing room and Narcissa started to look at stuff for her to wear in muggle world. She started to pull some beautiful clothes that will match her skin colour and hair.
"Narcissa, are you sure for this" Hermione ask and then look at the price tag " Dont worry about it, Hermione. Now you're like me. You're the cream now, and please let us take care of this." She smiled and let the lady get her the best clothes that a future lady would need, and she also learned from her etiquette class that she needed to be getting ready to be like that.
"I'm in your hands, Narcissa," she says, and then lets go; for now, she needs it to just remember what her class was taught. But this will be something that she will need to use too.
20 minutes later, she was having a fashion show with all the clothes that Chanel had. Narcissa brought everything that she liked and also some for herself. They were down all the
Line of all the big names in fashion. Narcissa was so happy to have a daughter to spoil rotten. "That is why Draco and Lucius left so you could have some time with me. I love everything you brought me, but if you just want to go shopping together, we could do it more often, Narcissa." Hemione said, and then Narcissa came to her and hugged her. "I always wanted a daughter after Draco; Hermione, your letting me have my dream." She smiled and said, "Thank you." They walk on the pathway, and they give the bags to the elf who will be taking them home.
"It was fun looking at new clothes. I was starting to feel some of them getting smaller, so I'm happy I got a new one to wear, and also, dont worry, I'm learning to be your daughter and you my mother, so let's learn together to be more like a family." Hermione says, and then Narcissa gives her a hug. "Lucius and Draco, most be done at the Diagon Ally."
She smiled and then followed and held Narcissa's hand. It was a great moment for her, and they walked toward the Tower of London. They wave at Draco and Lucius, and both of them smile and say, "So I would like to have a 30-minute tour of the Tower of London, then we have a table at the Italian restaurant that just opened a couple months ago," he whispered, and then the guard let them walk inside the tower to see the crown jewellery and crown. She looks at the guard, and they smile at her. "Soon we will have to go see the Queen for you and Draco's introduction to the house of the Lord." He smiled, and then "Lady and Lord Malfoy," the head of security for her Majesty the Queen, was there looking for some Jews she would be wearing next week.
"Nice to see you both with your children. How everyone is doing, I will let the Queen know that you have been fine. Also, enjoy the tower," the man said, nodding, and then leaving the man alone. Normally they don't let the public know, but since we are part of the house of the Lord, we don't need to let them know anyway. The Queen knows that we are wizards, and this is why on Monday when the Crown wants to get the jewelry out, it is always a wizard police since they are more secured." Lucius says, and then looks at the crown. "This is beautiful," Hermione said, and then the tour of the tower was done.
"Hermione, did you have fun today in London?" Lucius asks, and then Draco looks at her and says, "Yes, thank you for this beautiful day." She smiles, and they walk back toward King Cross. "This is a way to be quick to go to the ally; just stay close to us. They walk inside King Cross, and then they find the platform. Narcissa brought Hermione to the wall and said, "It's magic; just trust me." They walk inside the wall and say, "Welcome to Plafrom 9; this is where you will be taking the train to Hogwarts." Narcissa said, and then Lucius and Draco said, "There's a floo here that we take to the restaurant." She said then, "Little Italy is the name of the restaurant." She gave her the pot for the floo, and she was the first to go "Little Italy," she said, and then landed in the fireplace in the restaurant. She moved along the way and then waited for the other to come inside, "Lord and Lady Malfoy just in time." The waiter says, and they smile, "Your table is ready, and we also want to wish Hermione Davenfort-Granger a really happy birthday."
"Thank you" They followed him, and Lucius took the chair for Narcissa, and Draco did the same for Hermione. "Pick what you want. I thought you would like some Italian food since it has been a while since we had any English food," Lucius said, and Hermione's favourite always was Italian food. "Thank you, Italian food is my avorite." She looked at the menu, so she wanted a mix of pasta and bread. She loved some good hand-made pasta. "I'm thinking of the flavour of the Italian Pasta Mix and some fresh read." She said to Lucius and Draco to also order the same; he loves pasta, and a mix of different ones was a great idea.
They talk about the day and how this was good; they should be doing this a couple times a month. "Yes, this was fun. I think we should plan to do this once a month." Lucius looked at his family and nodded. "Let's finish this food and get some ice cream, and how about going home? Hermione could enjoy some of her gifts, and Draco, you could also help her use some of the stuff that was given to her," Draco said, and then they finished their food quickly, and Narcissa called the elf.
"Aurora, is everything at home good before we arrive?" she says, looking at her. "By the time the desert is done," Narcissa smiles, and then they walk toward Fordesscoop, so they could have the time of their day with ice cream. "They have all the flavour you want. Pick the flavour you want, rmione." She saw mint chocolate and also strawberry, which had a lot of good flavour. "Could I have chocolate fudge with the mint its?" She asked, and the man put it on the cone. Give it hers, and then Draco took chocolate, and the rest enjoyed their time together; they really made her feel like family.
They finish all the ice cream and then walk toward the Ally. Narcissa brought her closer. "We are going to the apparition tonight. Hold my non-wand hand, and we will be home in a few seconds." She followed the order and held down her thigh. "1, 2, 3," Narcissa says, then closes her eye and feels the pull of an apparition, and when she feels the ground, she opens her eyes.
"Wow, that was fast. Thank you, Narcissa," and then I saw Lucius and Draco appear next to them. "Hermione, dear, may I come with you to your room?" She asked, and then she said, "Draco, you could come later." She enters the mansion and then walks toward her room. When she opened the door, the room was changed.
"Happy Birthday, Dear. I wanted to make something for you since you moved. I wanted to make sure that this was going to have personality. I even asked the elf and the designer to put some family photos of us and your family before they passed. Also, let me know if anything was to your liking."She ran toward Narcissa and shed a tear. "Thank you, beautiful Narcissa. Thank you. I really enjoy it." Narcissa closes the hug and then says, "I will let you enjoy your room. If you feel tired and just want to enjoy the rest of the night, just let Millie know." Narcissa closed the door and let Hermione into her personal space.
Hermione has a bit of time to explore her new bedroom. "The soft colour of purple and the feminine colour just make the space more r." She looked around, and the bathroom was done in color, with some of her favourite stuff that Narcissa got her while shopping in the Muggle world. She was more like home, and today she was happy. This morning, she felt sad not having her parents with her, but now her new family gives her all the love she needs and more. She also made a tour of the closet; now it was full of Muggle plus wizard clothes so she could look like a proper heir. Narcissa and her made her look like a princess.
Her new book shelves were full of Muggle and Wizard books that she would enjoy, mostly stuff that she could learn for school. She looked at the training broom; it was picked just for her, and she was happy to see that this would also be something that she would do. Because she felt a bit tired of the day, she asked if she could just have this night alone and they could play with the new toys she got tomorrow after the tutors are done with the day.
"Millie, could you help me? I think I want to retire and get ready for bed. Also, tell Draco I'm sorry, but I'm feeling a bit tired and will love to just read in bed and fall asleep," she said, and Millie got her a new pair of silk pyjamas and drew her a bath so she could relax and enjoy a moment of relaxation.
Today was my first birthday without my parents. Today I learned that the Malfoy just wanted me to be happy, and this was the best feeling ever. I'm happy to be their adopted daughter, and I love them.
Hermione smiles and enters her bath, and then after her bath, she dresses and goes to bed to dream about the day she has and also the many dreams she will be having with this family.
