We come to some time the next day, where we see the members of the Phantom Thieves at a hotel buffet enjoying some food.

"Mmmm… So good…" Uzi said as she was eating meat which was infused with energon to make it able for her to consume.

"No wonder Lady Alexis chose this place!" Gatomon said amazed.

"Of course, it's good. This is a famous hotel, after all." Alexis said smiling as she happily ate some cake. "Oh yeah, I heard that the police troopers are coming to interview some people at school."

"That's troublesome." Gatomon said sighing.

"Our names are going to come up for sure." Uzi said shaking her head "People are spreading all sorts of rumours about us and Gaston…"

"That is true" Aqua said sighing.

"But we got them pumped up!" Uzi said smiling "I keep hearing stuff like, 'The Phantom Thieves really stole his heart!' I think most people don't believe it, but some of them actually seem grateful." She gets her phone out and shows it "Look at this."

The group look and see it was one a webpage that seemed to be a fan site with a forum. Alexis reads the title and some posts"The Phantom Aficinado Website? 'Well done, Phantom Thieves'…'Now I can keep going to'…'Thank you for gibing us hope'…"

"Pretty cool, huh?" Uzi said smiling.

Alex smiles happily "I was just desperate to deal with my own problems but seeing people saying all this feels…strange."

"I agree makes me feel good" Aqua said smiling.

"Yeah…" Uzi said in agreement "Hey…What do we do now?"

"Say, are we good on time!?" Aqua asked checking her watch as they have a time limit for the buffet.

"Huh?" Uzi asked and looked at her phone clock and her LED eyes go wide, and she jumps out of her seat "Oh scrap, you're totally right! We only got an hour to eat!"

"Just fifty minutes left!" Alexis said in shock standing up

"I'm not going to finish all those lovely beef dishes at this pace!" Uzi said, not everyday she gets to eat actual food so she wants to enjoy all that can be offered.

"And I need to eat my way through the entire dessert menu!" Alexis said, she was wanting to try that menu for a while. She heads to the buffet.

"Look after our stuff! We'll snag something for you guys too, don't worry!" Uzi said before heading to the buffet too.

A while later the two were back with plates of meat for Uzi and desserts for Alexis surprising Aqua and Gatomon.

"Aw man, it is melting in my mouth!" Uzi said happily.

"Seriously? Only meat?" Gatomon said in surprise.

"Now, where to start with these lovely desserts?" Alexis said happily at the cake she got.

"And she's all about the cake…." Gatomon added.

"So good…" Alexis said happily as she ate the cake.

"Hey. Calaories organic." Uzi said grinning.

"Shutup Drone girl!" Alexis said with a glare. "How much do you think one of these costs?! I'll never get the chance to do this again!" She takes another bites "Mmm, the Tipton Hotel cake buffet…I'd heard rumors, but I never thought it'd be so amazing!"

"And…where's our share?" Gatomon asked.

"Yeah is this weird plate…it?" Aqua said looking at the mishmash of not edible looking food on a plate.

"I didn't really know what you'd want…So I just grabbed you some beans." Uzi said though her eating.

"B-Beans?" Gatomon asked surprised.

"Really?" Aqua said deadpanned.

"There were some pretty bizarre things there too, so we got you a variety of those." Alexis explained "Fried bananas, preserved eggs and…some kind of beans."

"M-More beans?" Gatomon said confused.

"We put so much on the plate that it got all mixed up, but it should probably still taste good." Alexis said thinking.

"I doubt that with what's in it." Aqua groans a bit, she did try it and no, it didn't taste good.

"This is just plain grotesque…" Gatomon admits. "Let's go Aqua. Those two just don't know what fine dining means! We'll show them!"

"Yeah, leave it to me, my mother runs a popular bar, but she told me a thing or two about buffet dining." Aqua said smiling.

"That's reassuring!" Gatomon said smiling. She looks at the other two "You guys watch our things while we're gone! Wait patiently for our return!"

"Ahhhh it's like a meaty explosion in my mouth…I see why organics love this so much…" Uzi said happily

"Wow, this part's cream cheese!" Alexis said amazed, neither of them were paying any real attention.

"They're not even listening…" Gatomon said sighing

"Well let's get going" Aqua said getting up with the bag that Gatomon rides in, she gets an empty plate too

"As I'd expect from the buffet at a top-class hotel." Gatomon said eyeing the buffet "The ingredients and variety of dishes are crazy good. There's a reason it cost 8,000 credits."

"I agree, I will have to tell mom and dad about this when I talk to them." Aqua said smiling.

"They have a lot here…but fish should come first!" Gatomon said nodding. "Let's fill our plate with all sorts of fish. Which table do you think they're at…?

Aqua goes to the buffet tables and sees the fish dishes between the dessert and salad dishes tables and goes to get some fish.

"Ooh look! There's the fish!" Gatomon said wagging his tail "I'd prefer it raw, but grilled is great too!"

'You sure you're not a cat?' Aqua thinks sweat dropping.

"Have you heard, my dear?" An Arrogant wealthy woman known as Odalia Blight said to her friend a haughty wealthy woman known as Mom "The news about that Gaston fellow was absolutely dreadful."

"Ah right. That teacher at Citadel Academy, caught doing such indecent acts. Shameful, really." Mom said.

"Hold on a sec…" Gatomon said to Aqua wanting to listen in on the two woman.

"And they still haven't managed to solve those horrible psychotic breakdown episodes, have they?" Mom asked rolling her eyes. "I really wish those moron troopers wouldn't let themselves be distracted by such a tawdy scandal."

"Perhaps it's a sign of how peaceful this country is." Odalia said shrugging "I honestly pity those poor Citadel students though."

"Huh. It sounds like that Gaston incident is the talk of the town." Gatomon said to Aqua.

"Seems like it." Aqua said nodding.

"Hm?" Mom said looking over at Aqua.

"Shoot, they noticed you!" Gatomon yelped "Just grab some food and act natural! On the plus side, we'll get to eat the foot later." Aqua nods and gets some fish to put on her plate acting natural.

Odalia tsks at the sight of Aqua and said "How did a child like this end up in here? I certainly hope she didn't bring friends. I prefer my meals to remain hooligan-free, thank you very much. Come, let us go." She and Mom left.

"What's so bad about kids coming to enjoy a buffet…?" Gatomon said annoyed.

"Well many people here look to be rich and/or the elite." Aqua said thinking

"Hm, I wonder how the other people here are reacting to the new." Gatomon said thinking "Let's get some more food and listen in. Maybe there are more people we can eavesdrop at other tables…"

"Right." Aqua said and goes to the Meat dishes.

"Ah, meat!" Gatomon said happily "I'm now Uzi, but a meal is just not the same if you have have any…I got distracted."

"…When you really look at it, he's just an ex-athlete who overestimated himself." A red skinned whilte haired alien in white armor named Jeice said to his partner and friend a blue snake like alien named Burter "He should have just accepted his lot in life and quietly done his job as a teacher."

"It's not even an incident we can take seriously." Burter said shrugging "The whole story is pretty ridiculous. We should probably look into it, but we can also just let the low-ranking force members handle it."

"Look into…?" Gatomon said listening in.

"What do they mean?" Aqua asked

"I guess they're investigating Gaston?" Gatomon guessed "They don't sound very enthusiastic about it though."

"Huh?" Jeice said looking over to Aqua.

"Gah, grab some food!" Gatomon said to Aqua "Ah, get the part that's not too fatty!" Aqua nods and gets some meat adding to her plate.

"Must be seeing things." Jeice said.

"He's going to be arriving soon with the Captain." Burter told Jeice "We don't want to keep him waiting, so we better get going too."

"I guess so, do you know what he's going to discuss with the higher-ups?" Jeice asked thinking and Burter shakes his head "Well, I'm sure it's more important than lunch as much as I disagree." The two leave.

"There were dressed more for going into space then a fancy meal, but they still looked pretty shady to me." Gatomon said thinking.

"Yeah" Aqua said nodding and continued to get some food and listen in, going to the rice that was near the meat dishes.

"Rice is incredible! It's the cornerstone of every great meal!" Gatomon said excited "…Sorry. I got a bit carried away there."

"So the ratings for the news were really that good?" A fancy girl known a fancy girl named Urd asked a man known as Chairman Rose who was the president of the TV station "It was because it was about that teacher who sexually harassed his student, huh? Was it Gaston?"

"It's all about how you frame it. You've got to cater to the idiotic public." Rose explained to her. "Ratings go up when you show them crude, sensational news, and make it easy for them to understand."

"How can he be so insesnsative?" Gatomon asked concerned "A student almost killed herself because of that Gaston…"

"People like that rarely care for tact" Aqua whispered.

"By the way, do you think these 'sudden changes of heart' might be real?" Urd asked him.

"Well, that's…Hmmm?" Rose said but then looks over to Aqua.

"Quick grab some food! Oh, and don't forget the crispy bits!" Gatomon said to Aqua. Aqua nods and gets some rice to add to her plate.

"So because he had a sudden change of heart, he just confessed to all his crime?" Urd asked Rose.

"Hahahaha, who knows?" Rose laughed with a shrug. "Sorry, but it's time. I have to go. I'll call you again after the meeting." With that the two leave.

"A sudden change of heart, huh?" Gatomon said thinking "I suppose I can't blame him for seeing it that way."

"I agree" Aqua said nodding and goes over to the dessert dishes table.

"Up close, it looks even bigger and more delicious. This giant, sweet…Ah, I got distracted." Gatomon said embarrassed.

"News travels quick. It's already all over the internet." A man in a green question mark like outfit with a hat and cane known as Edward Nigma who was the president of an IT Company who was talking to a brown skinned girl known as Courtney. "You know, the story about how Gaston got his rear end kicked by some world-reforming heroes…"

"That doesn't sound like a serious story to me. Some of the details are pretty far-fetched." Courtney said thinking.

"Don't worry about that my dear. We just have to do what they tell us to do." Edward said with a chuckling. "It's all rumours made up by school kids, anyway. If it's gripping news, who cares if it's not true?"

"So, they don't believe themselves, but they're making up stories to make the Phantom Thieve seem real…And they're doing this in front of the actual Phantom Thieves." Gatomon said grinning.

"Oh, the irony." Aqua giggled.

"Huh?" Edward said looking at Aqua.

"Whoa! Act fast and get some food! And make sure it's got a lot of whipped cream." Gatomon said and Aqua nods adding some dessert to her plate.

"What's wrong?" Courtney asked him

"Oh nothing. I thought some weird kid was looking at us, that's all" Edward said. "Why don't we go? It's almost time for the meeting." The two leave.

"Well, that was rude. Did you hear him? He said you were weird." Gatomon said annoyed.

"Is weird, given he was a guy wearing a green outfit with question marks." Aqua said nodding.

"Don't think there's anyone else we can listen in on." Gatomon said looking around. "But it's shocking…Son many of the adults here don't seem like nice people. Now according to what we heard…It seems most adults aren't very interested in the news about Gaston."

"Yeah, does sound like it" Aqua said nodding.

"Well, now that we've got a nice variety of food on out plates, let's head back to the others" Gatomon said and Aqua nods.

The two make it back to the table and settle down.

Uzi looks at there plate and smiles saying "…Ooh, you brought a ton back. What do you think about coming up against such ritzy food?"

"I am quite happy for all this." Aqua said happily

"It's cute hearing that from someone like you." Uzi said giggling "Just don't' get too excited, got it?"

"You're the last person I want giving advice about that, Uzi." Gatomon said rolling his eyes as he ate.

"Don't you think you're eating too much, Gaon?" Uzi asked him concerned.

"There's no…knowing when we'll get to come here again." Gatomon said as he happily ate.

"Sure, but you guys brought back loads of food…it'd be a shame to let it all go to waste." Alexis said concerned. "Why don't you help them out, Uzi?"

"We should both help." Uzi points out.

"Oh me? I'm wayyy too stuffed! I couldn't possibly help!" Alexis said with a smile as she continues to eat one of the cakes she got before.

"Yeah…stuffin your face with cake…" Uzi said a sweatdrop appearing on her LED screen and shakes her head "Whatever. Let's deal with this ourselves!"

"Right!" Aqua said nodding and the two girls and cat begin to eat.

A while later the three hit a wall as it feels that no matter how much they eat, the amount of food they have stats the same…

"There's still more?" Gatomon groans

"Don't give up! Let's keep at it!" Uzi groans out.

"Let's go to overdrive." Aqua said

Soon the three finally finish all the food just as Alexis finishes her cakes but while Alexis is alright, the three who ate the majority of all the other food they were feeling the pain.

"W-We did it…" Gatomon groans out.

Aqua felt her belt to her black pants was multiple sizes too small…

"Ye- Oh yeah…" Uzi groans out feeling the drone version of a stomach ache. "This is a victory…for all of us…"

"That was tough…" Aqua groans placing her head in her hands.

"We won…because we did it together…" Uzi told her.

"Good job, you guys." Alexis said smiling "How about one last dish to cleanse your palates? I recommended the seasonal tart! The grapefruit has both alluring sweetness and a tangy sourness!"

"Stop…I don't want to hear about sour stuff…" Uzi lets out shaking her head she feels like she is going to throw up "This isn't good. I need to go to the restroom…"

"M-Me too…Please…carry me gently…" Gatomon groans out.

Soon walking by were a rich couple who notice them.

"My, look at that table…"an Elegant Woman said to her husband.

"Come now, pay them no attention" The Wealthy Husband said to her "I'm sure they must not normally have the chance to eat such exquisite food."

"I can only imagine what their parents must be like." The Elegant Woman told him shaking her head. The two then head for their table.

"What was that?" Uzi said annoyed but clutches her stomach "We don't got time for that. Come on, let's go…"

Aqua nods and picks up Gatomon in the bag and goes with Uzi to the restroom.

A while later after freshening up in the restrooms the three go to the lifts.

"Ughh, I'm stuffed…" Gatomon said with a sigh.

"I totally panicked when I saw the 'Closed for Cleaning' sigh at the restroom." Uzi admits wiping her mouth.

"Good thing that it was for the men's room" Aqua said with a nod.

"You were talking big about eating until you puked, but you really did puke…Are you some kind of moron bot?" Gatomon asked Uzi

"Hey, same goes for you!" Uzi said to the cat annoyed. She then hits the button to the lift as other people for it arrive "What floor was that restaurant on?"

"We came up to get here, so it has to be on a lower floor, right?" Gatomon said thinking.

As they wait for the lift, Aqua noticed the people around them move away as a group of people in similar armour to Jeice and Burter approach and shove her and Uzi out the way, in the middle was a white skinned alien with purple areas and a white tail, he seemed to be of some importance.

"What the…" Uzi said annoyed glaring at the group.

There's still no update on the case Zarbon?" The white alien asked one of the bodyguards rather elegantly.

"N-No not yet my lord…" The one known as Zarbon said a bit nervous "If you excuse me asking, but why are you so involved in this Earth matter? It's not something you should be so concerned with…"

"If I wanted your opinion on what I should do, I'd ask you you for it Zarbon!" The alien said to his surbordinate annoyed "When I say pick up the pace, you do it!"

"Hey, you cutting in line!" Uzi called out to the group.

"Excuse me, but what do you want drone?" Zarbon said to them.

"We were here first; don't you know elevator manners?" Aqua said to them.

"I apologise but we're in a hurry." Zarbon told them both.

"Oh, I'm sorry." Uzi said sarcastically. "So, you can butt in front of other people if you're in a hurry?"

"It seems the customer base has changed since I was last here at this Earth hotel. Did they open a day care?" The white alien lizard said aiming that insult at Uzi and Aqua.

"What?" Uzi said in shock and annoyance.

"My lord, I'm afraid we don't have time for this." Zarbon said to his master.

"Yes, I'm quite aware." The alien said shrugging.

The lift arrives and Uzi tries to go for it but Zarbon shoves her away. "Hey!" Aqua said in shocked.

"Zarbon, don't bother with them!" The alien said to his subordinate.

Aqua stops and looks at the white lizard like alien 'Wait…that voice just now…' She clutches her head while the alien, Zarbon and the rest of there group enter and use the lift.

"The hell was with that bossy alien?" Uzi said in annoyance.

"Shouldn't we head back down?" Gatomon said popping out of the bag.

"Yeah, but…" Uzi said annoyed and calls the elevator again "That jerk really annoyed me. He wasn't even hiding the fact he looks down on everyone!"

"Don't lose your temper over this." Gatomon told her.

"I just can't forgive lousy adults like that!" Uzi said turning to face Gatomon.

'That alien's voice…' Aqua thinks still holding her head as she thinks back to the night of her arrest and the alien behind it. 'It sounded almost like the one from back then…but is it really the same one?'

Uzi finally noticed Aqua clutching her head and goes to her concerned "…What's wrong?"

"I'm fine, just a bit lightheaded…" Aqua said shaking her head.

"You're not feeling good?" Uzi asked her.

"She almost never eats well, after all…" Gatomon said to her also concerned "Plus I'm always stuck eating canned cat food…"

"Ugh, that 'my lord' junk makes me sick all over again!" Uzi said in annoyance. "…Bite me!"

They along with the other people enter the lift when it arrived.

Soon they make back to their table in the restaurant. Alexis was sitting at the table looking annoyed.

"What took you so long?!" Alexis asked sounding annoyed.

"Why are you so angry?" Uzi asked surprised.

Alexis sighs calming down "Sorry…I had a run-in with some woman a second ago. She bumped into me, but then said it was all my fault when she dropped her plate…"

"Sounds like a real female jerk…" Uzi said annoyed.

"I agree with that" Aqua said nodding.

"Yeah…Thanks though." Alexis said nodding. "But…the restaurant workers all looked at me with this disapproving expression…" Aqua and Uzi sit back sown, the former putting the bag to the side "I wonder if we're out of place here…"

"It always seems to feel like this." Aqua said sighing.

Uzi thinks for a moment then looks to the bag and said "Hey Gatomon."

"What is it?" Gatomon asked coming out of the bag.

"Anyone could have a Palace, yeah?" Uzi asked him.

"Anyone with a strong, distorted desire." Gatomon replied with a nod.

"Same for them having a change of heart if their Treasure gets stolen?" Uzi asked thinking.

"That would be the case." Gatomon said nodding.

"Why are you bringing this up all of a sudden?" Alexis asked curious.

"We had trouble earlier too." Uzi explained to her "These selfish alien jerkheads who just looked down on everyone else…I was just wondering if we'd be able to change those kind of people too."

Aqua and Alexis was surprised hearing that from the drone and the blond haired girl asked "You mean…you want to continue as the Phantom Thieves?"

Uzi looks down "…I've been thinking. We put a lot of work into changing Gaston's heart, but nobody believes in the Phantom Thieves. Plus…those guys who had no other choice but to just deal with it are thaking us. Us, of all people."

"My parents used to be part of some rebel group in there younger years and from what they tell me that under such corrupt people that are lots of victims." Aqua said thinking on it.

"I…I agree." Alexis said nodding. "If we ignore people who are in trouble, I'd go back to being the same as I was before…"

"Well…that's true." Gatomon said nodding. He looks serious and said "You're under my tutelage. There's nothing we can't accomplish as phantom thieves!"

"Shouldn't we be able to help them out!" Uzi told the group.

Aqua thinks on it, she doesn't think of such a possibility but it's true that this power they have may be able to help people.

"But…that means we'll have to fight Shadows again, doesn't it…?" Alexis asked concerned.

"Indeed. That can't be avoided." Gatomon said nodding.

"Eh, I'm sure we'll manage." Uzi said shrugging and looks to Aqua "Hehehe…Right?"

"I want to help people like my parents did before." Aqua said nodding.

"Heh…Even if you guys are still just fledglings, this means we're an actual organization now." Gatomon said with a smile.

"Fledglings? Haha, that's actually pretty fitting for us." Alexis said with a smile.

"All right, it's settled!" Uzi said with a smile. "We're going to catch all those jerky adults by surprise, and make ourselves known to the world!"

Alexis nods and looks at Aqua "Are you okay being our leader?"

"Of course, if it's okay with everyone else" Aqua said with a nod.

"No objections here!" Uzi said with a smile and shrug "I can't handle all that responsibility stuff."

"Where's my say in this?" Gatmon asked "But Lady Alexis made the recommendation, so I'll allow it."

"Well, should we decide on a name for our group?" Uzi asked the group. "I just went with Phantom Thieves of Hearts last time, but don't you think a real name would be cooler?"

"Ooh, I've got it! I want it to be something both cute and luxious sounding…" Alexis said thinking "Let me see….How about 'The Diamonds'?"

"I'm getting a real little league baseball feel from it." Uzi said shaking her head not liking the name.

"Well then, here's my suggestion." Gatomon said smiling "How about 'Tilefish Poele'?"

"Tile…uh, what?" Uzi asked confused.

"That's what I ate earlier. It's commemorative, no?" Gatomon said smiling.

"Heck no, you idiot!" Uzi said to him. "Ugh, Aqua you decide for us…"

"Well…given we're raiding palaces and to commemorate the fist one was a castle I feel that this will fit." Aqua said "How about the 'Dragon Gems'?"

"Huh, that's not bad at all." Alexis said thinking on it and smiles.

"A good name, for a rookie." Gatomon said with a nod.

"Dragon Gems. So, are we going with that?" Uzi asked.

"If that's okay" Aqua said nodding. Uzi smiles and nods.

"Well now that the name's set, who's our next target?" Alexis asked the group.

"There are tons of rotten adults and all…" Uzi said thinking "Why not just stick to targeting big names?"

"Like maybe a celebrity?" Aqua suggests

"Yeah, something along those lines." Uzi said nodding "If we go after some bigwig, it's got to get on the news, right? Don't you think more people would believe in us if we did that?"

"That's not a bad idea…for you, Uzi." Gatomon said smiling.

"True. If we become better known…we might be able to give courage to a lot more people." Alexis said thinking. "I don't really like the idea of just picking someone out of the blue though."

"Let's narrow it down to someone we can all agree on then." Uzi suggested.

"Hm, so we need a bigwig we decide on unanimously," Gatomon said thinking.

"I like that unanimous decision part!" Alexis said smiling "It's like we're making some kind of pact!"

"Now then, this is the official formation of the Phantom Thieves organization!" Gatomon said proudly.

Alexis checks the time "Oh no! Our time for the buffet ran out…"

"I guess we'll just have to talk more tomorrow." Uzi said shrugging.

"Agreed." Aqua said nodding and the group get ready to leave.

We then return to the present as Aqua has finished recounting the story to this.

"Another world in which people's disorted cognition take shape? Stealing treasure to change hearts?" Jess said recalling what was told "And on top of that, a talking cat told you all of this?"

"Are you pulling our legs?" Jacob asked.

"Believe what you will." Aqua said sighing.

"Honestly speaking, that all sound absurd." Jacob said "It's hard to believe that this is even worth listening to."

"However it still can't be considered nonsense when parts of it align with Gaston's confesstion." Windblade points out. "The same goes for the testimonies of the officers who arrested you."

"I guess that is true." Jacob said nodding.

"But so, bit. At any rate, you mentioned something more important." Windblade said to Aqua "These two other accomplices, besides this talking cat thing that appeared in your story…From what you've been telling me, they're students at the same school, aren't they?"

Aqua remains quiet resisting the urge from the drug to say anything.

"I guess she doesn't want to say" Jacob said looking at her.

"Very well, we'll leave it at that. Let's continue on." Windblade said nodding to Jess who begins to get up some more files "The questionings not over, anyway. If you are making this up, the cracks in your story will prove it."

"The next to receive a calling card was this individual…" Jess said bringing up a file of a man in black outfit with red hair and beard "A master of Japanese arts: Lysandre."

"It's more incomprehensible than Gaston as to why this man was targeted." Jacob said shaking his head.

Windblade nods "Where did you come to know him? And how did you learn of his crimes when you weren't a victim of them? Start by telling me what you all schemed…"

"Alright" Aqua said as she begins to recount.
