HELP! How The Fuck Do I First Woman!? (Hazbin Hotel - Eve SI Chapter 7)

This is... wrong. That was the first though Lilith had upon seeing Eve.

Not when she heard about her, no, but when she first saw her through Lucifer's portals peering into Eden.

A replacement.

A new woman for Adam to be a wife instead of her. That was fine.

Lilith had made her choice. A choice of freedom from the angels that their abusive, tyrannical rule.

A choice to be with one who loves, her who praises her, who defends her. Lucifer who made her feel like a Queen, rather than Adam who made her feel lesser, a servant, not enough.

Upon hearing about Eve from an excited gushing Lucifer—her new husband always seemed excited about new things, new ideas, new discoveries. He was much more vibrant and zestful than her old one—told her about this new "First Woman".

Another insult hurled at Lilith by the Angels. Another reminder that she was a failure. They just couldn't help themselves, could they? They have to berate her even when she's not there.

Then Lucifer showed her Eve through a portal to view Eden and...

This is wrong. Lilith thought, looking at Eve cultivating the land, herding animals. Doing the Tasks, with a grateful smile, like it was something she felt privileged to do.

I wouldn't do that. Lilith thought, watching Eve who hurriedly search in a mud pool for a puppy that wandered so far off from it's pack, and rescued it before it got hurt, or much worse, died. Even if it would reform later, death is never a kind thing for a creature to experience, even if they willingly offer themselves to Humans for nourishment as is their duty.

I wouldn't act like that. Lilith thought, seeing Eve apologize to Adam upon him getting upset at her fun time swinging in the conjured jungle, as he asserted his authority over her.

I wouldn't accept that. Lilith thought, as Eve was given an attempt at Naming. A Task designed for her to fail, to not succeed in it like Adam would, and for Sera and her equally self-important haughty angelic siblings, to admonish Eve, and show her, her "failings". Eve had rightly lashed out in frustration at Sera with her words, but then immediately leashed herself and apologized.

"Eve, don't step onto that cliff, it's brittle and would brake."

"Don't ride the horses too far from my sight."

"This area is a bit cold. No, don't argue back and say you can withstand it. Cover yourself with this fur blanket."

"That's enough playing today. We have to go to sleep, to wake up early again for your Tasks tomorrow."

I wouldn't react like that.

Lilith thought, as Eve smiled at all of Adam's commands. She looked genuinely happy, even grateful for his orders?!

They had created a replacement for me, and made her a servant. Shackling her will and stripping her of the freedom or thought to rebel. Lilith concluded.

Her other self Eve looked so happy with Adam.

"You want to use a piece of cloth strap to sticks to fly? ...Okay, but not without me and I'll edit the landscape to land the second this doesn't work so we land immediately."

"You want to ride a horse running down the side of a mountain!? I... fine, but I'm sitting behind you."

"Okay, we can keep playing for one more hour, but that's it. And I'm not carrying you if you're too tired for us to go to our bed."

Adam would then proceed to carry Eve.

Again. Why? Why Adam? Is having a submissive wife that appealing? Is having nothing but a... a... thing that just does whatever you order her to so satisfying that you'd even indulge her? Listen to her? Love her that quickly?

Frustrating.

That's what Eve's existence was. She was in the same cage Lilith was in. The Angels even treated her with the expectation that she was another Lilith, yet she thrive in that cage. Eve was happy in that cage. Why?

It didn't make sense.

Lilith's eyes widened. Unless it was something the Seraphim enforced. A mental command? A angelic power? No. It would likely to be something so ingrained that it's a part of Eve's Being.

And if Eve was successful would they do the same to me? Lilith wondered. Would they hunt her down and apply the same solution? Return her to Adam and gift his perfect obedient self two wives?

And what would happen to her poor Lucifer?

...And what if Eve's success motivated the Seraphim to correct their "earlier mistake". Remove the dark mark on their tally.

Unmake Lilith.

Would they really do it?

"Lilith, you're thinking too darkly about this. My siblings would never do something that... that mean. That harsh." She remember Lucifer telling her.

"They wished to end you! Discussed in front of us before banishing us!" She told him.

"They were angry and ultimately they didn't. So it all worked out, see?" He had replied with that stupid goofy, adorable smile. "I'm more interested in that, what she Named it? Kangaroo. She changed so much from the original design, but I admit it was finally viable to be Defined. I really want to see it up close!"

Thus Lilith and her lover devised a plan.

While Lilith was worried a bit about the Elder Council deciding to Unmake her, ultimately she put that worry behind her. She was the First Woman, Equal to Adam, and thus of the same importance. They wouldn't dare erase her, and suffer the wrath of God.

Lucifer was more interested in talking with Eve about his Ideas for Creation.

But primarily, the Exiled Lovers wanted to see the true condition of Eve. How did this second made Wife of the First Man truly lived?

Was she actually happy?

If not, they'll help her escape.

Did she understand what her life was like?

Because if not, they will break her chains and grant her freedom. By giving her the one thing that would remove all magic, commands, angelic might, or Divine Authority.

The Forbidden Fruit.

The Fruit of Knowledge, of Good and Evil.

That was the reason why Lilith and Lucifer returned to the Garden. Lucifer wanted to sneak in, yet Lilith convinced him that Sera would likely let them if they shed a few tears.

If they "showed" remorse.

Lucifer was an excellent liar, since the Concept of Lying was created from their act. From their secret love. If it came from their joy of one another, why would it be bad? Their love wouldn't have been accepted anyway, while she still had the Role of Adam's Wife.

Lilith knew how to lower her head from the many times she was forced to do so. A loathsome skill to have, yet it served her this time. Sera looked relieved to see her, likely because Lilith "displayed humility". Lilith ignored the small warm feeling at seeing an old friend. At seeing that Sera cared about her, to worry about her well being while she was gone.

After all, why would a Seraphim care about a Being they banished? Why would they care about a failed project?

Regardless, they made their way through the Garden, finding Eve easily enough. Lucifer left the instant he found a kangaroo to examine, but remembered to come back, so she wouldn't be alone. He brought a female kangaroo with him to see "how well the implemented pouched idea worked out".

Her lover could be ridiculous with his spontaneity and hyper focus on some things, but it was still a cute quality that she liked.

Now it was time to see what bindings the Angels had her placed on her other self.

Eve held the Apple in her palm. She looked at it seriously, with a determined expression that Lilith never witnessed before.

Then she smiled and extended her arm.

"I choose... not to eat the Apple." Eve dropped the Apple to the ground.

What?

"Wow. This Free Will stuff totally works. Thanks, Lucifer!" Eve said with a massive grin as she turned and began to walk away.

"Errr, what?" Lucifer look at Eve, then at Lilith, then back at Eve. He was confused.

What just happened? Lilith was baffled.

AN: Short chapter, but I'm feeling sleepy today, so I'll continue the other half of this next time. Later.
