Let me know what you think :)
"Well, you know, it was super late and we were just there talking. She started crying saying that she didn't get why I had been so mean to her during our relationship. She started asking if something was wrong with her and well you know me. I can't stand being mean to anyone let alone a girl. I told her she was great, and she was beautiful. I told her it was all my fault. Well she started crying even more and I hugged her and next thing I know I wake up with her in my arms in her bed. Dude I slept over! If Yumi finds out she's going to kill me!" William groaned as he let his face fall into his hands.
Ulrich sighed with relief. He didn't know why, but hearing that he didn't do anything awful made him feel better. "Well, at least you didn't cheat, technically?" He responded attempting to cheer up his friend.
"Technically but I still kind of did. I doubt Yumi is going to be happy about that," William sighed as he faced his friend.
"Well, no. But, I think you need to tell her. You know how Sissi is. This will be all over Twitter before you know it," Ulrich rolled his eyes. He never liked Sissi very much, to begin with, she was a mean girl, always wanted to be the center of attention.
"You're wrong. We're friends. She wouldn't do that. C'mon, let's get to health class. I don't think Yumi is coming to the bleachers this morning. She's probably already in class with Aelita. I'll talk to her after school," William sternly responded as he started making his way down the bleachers. Ulrich sighed as he followed him to class.
"What a jerk!" Aelita shouted as Yumi finished telling her everything that had happened after she and Odd left.
"Shhh," Yumi hushed her dear friend as she saw William and Ulrich head into class. Both William and Ulrich waved at them as they took their assigned seats. Yumi smiled slightly as she looked away. She was so upset she couldn't even hide it. Why did boys have to be so stupid?
"Alright class, so Mr. Burke and I have a surprise for you guys," Mrs. Burke grinned as she stood at the front of the class. What exactly could our business and health teacher surprise us with? Aelita rolled her eyes as the thought of more work came to her mind.
"As you all know, every semester I ask that you guys pair up and take care of a baby for three weeks, well this semester we are doing things a little bit differently. In a joint effort to both teach you guys a little bit more about life and keep you guys interested, we are combining both our final projects for this semester. In other words, you will be killing two birds with one stone as a single project will count for both classes. Of course, we will be focusing on each of our areas of expertise," Mrs. Burke finished as she turned to face Mr. Burke with a smile.
"As Mrs. Burke just said, while it will be the same project, your grades for each class can differ greatly depending on the amount of effort placed. For my end of the project, you will be filling out an expense report sheet. Anything you purchase must be logged in, all your funds must be logged in, and any miscellaneous spending. I would appreciate it if the prices were as close to accurate as possible," Mr. Burke grinned as he looked at his confused class.
"Now, for my end of the project, you will be randomly paired off and are to act as a newlywed couple. You will receive a career at random and be tasked with everyday marital issues that may arise once a week. At the end of the semester, you are to turn in all the ways in which you and your partner resolved the issues. Along with your financial log of course. Any questions?" Mrs. Burke grinned as she faced her class.
Odd quickly raced his hand. Mrs. Burke smiled as she motioned for Odd to ask his question.
"So basically we are going to get married today and go through the motions of having a job, buying a house, groceries, and babies?" Odd groaned.
"Precisely. Now, boys, you are to pick a piece of paper out of my hat and that will be your future wife," Mr. Burke chuckled as he walked around the room allowing the guys to pull out names from a hat.
"If only picking a wife was this easy," Ulrich mumbled under his breath. He wasn't really looking forward to being partnered up with anyone in the class.
Yumi sighed, even though she was upset with William, she was still hoping her boyfriend was the one to pick out her name. She held her breath as both she and Aelita watched William open up the crumpled paper. A small smile left his face as he read the name.
"Yumi you can breathe now, he smiled, it's probably you," Aelita grinned as she nudged her best friend.
"I hope so," Yumi sighed as she looked towards the front of the class.
"Okay, now I'm going to walk around with more crumpled papers, and this time you will all get one. It will have your career on them," Mrs. Burke made her way towards Sissi as she reached for a paper.
"With my luck, she's going to be a supermodel," Yumi rolled her eyes as she whispered to Aelita.
Aelita couldn't help but giggle. She was probably right, her best friend did have the worst luck.
Yumi reached for her paper, hoping it wasn't going to have her be a stay at home mom. If she was going to have to be pretend married to someone random, she hoped she'd at least get a cool career. She slowly began to open the paper and couldn't believe that she had gotten what she was choosing to do in her actual life, a nursing career.
"A nurse? Nice! I'm in the business career, a CEO to be exact," Aelita winked.
"Now why can't I be fake rich too?" Yumi chuckled.
"Alright class, walk up to your partner, or should I say wives, and introduce yourselves," Mrs. Burke winked.
Yumi sighed as she stared at her paper waiting for her "husband" to approach her.
"Hey Ishiyama, looks like we got hitched," Ulrich chuckled as he handed Yumi the paper with her name on it.
"Seriously? You?" Yumi chuckled as she looked up at Ulrich.
"Is that a sarcastic comment, or a how did I get so lucky comment?" Ulrich winked as he took a seat next to her.
"I plead the fifth," She warmly smiled as she looked around the room for William. "Seriously?" Yumi groaned as she spotted him.
"Talk about shit luck," Ulrich sighed as he tried to draw Yumi's attention back to him.
"Of course that's how it worked out. That's how it always should've been right?" Yumi sadly whispered as she realized that Sissi really did have it all.
