Trails into Reverie: The Chaos of Babel

Crossbell has finally gained its independence. The SSS and all of Crossbell finally have their dreams come true. Suddenly, Rufus Albarea and the newly established Ebon Defense Force attacked and took over Crossbell once more. Three Heroes: Lloyd, Rean, and a mysterious masked man must work together to solve this crisis and free Crossbell together once more with friends all over.

2. Lloyd's Route: Crossbell's Beginning

(Fire Emblem Three Houses ost - Spiderwebs)

"We're heading where?" A young man with silver hair asked.

"We're heading to the Realm of Darkness." Archeron answered.

"The Realm of Darkness?" The young man with black hair asked. "Why in the world are we going to such an extremely dangerous area?"

"The Realm of Darkness is the home where all the Heartless. Monsters that are born out of darkness itself and seek the hearts of all living things. No living soul can withstand the cold abyss of that place, let alone the Heartless lurking in the darkness." A man with glasses tuck his glasses. "It does raise the question to why we are heading to a very dangerous place."

"Yeah, I second that! Is this really the orders from the higher-ups?" The girl with pink hair asked with concern.

"It is. Lord Zhongli and his siblings order an investigation to search and confirm to see if the Chaos Heart still resides in that hallow void." Acheron answered.

"Hmm..." The woman with long red hair hummed. "If the orders came from the higher-up, I'm afraid that we have no choice but to follow their orders, despite the danger this location is. But you mention it's to confirmed the Chaos Heart? What is the Chaos Heart?"

"It's a primordial power from the Primoridal One. As you know with Kingdom Hearts, it the ultimate power of creation. The Chaos Heart is its counterpart. It can destroy and consumed worlds."

"That level of power exist?" The black hair young man asked in shocked. "Why wasn't this added into the data?"

"Because this is a universal secret. No one must be aware of its existence because of its destructive power. The Titans and only a select few knew of its existence. There was an incident that caused the Chaos Heart to appear and it nearly destroyed the universe. Not something like the Black Hole two years ago. We are ordered to venture forth the Reamn of Darkness to confirmed if the Chaos Heart is still there."

"But how can we find the Chaos Heart if it filled with an endless void?" A girl who look identical to the man next to him.

"Lord Zhongli gave me this." Acheron pull out a floating crystal and a glowing Key. "The crystal will guide us to the Chaos Heart. While the Key will open the Door to Darkness."

"Wow! So pretty! But... why do we need to go to that place for the Chaos Heart?" The Pink hair girl asked.

"Does the Chaos Heart have something to do with what happened to our investigation?" The Silver hair young man asked.

Acheron nodded "That's right, Caelus. As you all know, we were ordered to investigate this mysterious visitor who appeared in this universe. Unfortunately, we have had no luck finding them. It also relates to what happened to Irmensul. It turns out that whoever found and tainted Irmensul holds the power of the Chaos Heart."

"Ah... So that's why we're ordered to confirm if it's still there in the Realm of Darkness." The Black Hair Young Man said.

Acheron nodded again. "Caelus, Stelle, Dan Heng, March, Himiko and sure you're seated. We're taking off." Acheron said.

"Yes ma'am!" They saluted to her as Acheron headed to the Train Cab, activated many hologram screen and type in the hologram screen as she uploaded the coordinates. Acheron press the speaker button. "Everyone, the coordinates are set in." She said as everyone inside begin to sit down.

"Ms. Acheron!" A voice spoked a small creature wearing a conductor's outfit appeared.

"Hello, Pom-Pom. Sorry that I didn't ask you to set up everything. You were asleep."

"No, it's my fault but... where are we going?"

"To the Realm of Darkness." Acheron answered as she press the button and the hologram screen show the direction. She hit the speaker button. "Everyone. We're taking off in 5...4...3...2...1."

As everyone in the Train sit down while the pink hair girl shit down and cower a bit, Caelus sit next to the black hair young man who pull him toward him.

"0." Archeron said as the train begin to move as it flew into space.

(Trails into Reverie ost - Bell of Dawn)

The People of Crossbell are setting up everything for their long-awaited independence. People are feeling joy that their independence has finally come.

"Ladies and Gentleman, our days in the sun has finally arrived!" A voice spoked as Grace was doing an interview. "And I, Grace Lynn of the Crossbell Times, am here to make sure you don't miss a moment of this monumental occasion! At 2PM today, the signing ceremony for Crossbell's independence will take place in this very spot What you're about to witness is going to be historic not just for Crossbell, but for this whole world. Let's get some live reactions from folks on the street!" She said as she turn to the nearby citizen. "Exucse me, sir! My name is Grace Lyn from Crossbell Time. Will it be all right to ask you a question?"

"Um, sure. What's the question?" He asked

"How are you feeling that Crossbell is finally gaining its independence after the long struggle awaits?"

"To tell you the truth, I never dreamed we would achieve independence again quite like this. It's been two hears since we came under Erebonian control—two years that dragged on, yet flew by at the same time. I struggle to describe just how moved I am when I acknowledge that we are about to finally achieve our long-cherished desire. Now, if everyone would join me..." He spread his arms. "THREE CHEERS FOR CROSSBELL!"

Next person...

"Haha." An officer of Crossbell scratches his head. "'Nervous is the short answer. We're all really busy trying to ensure everything goes ahead smoothly. It's incredible to think that everything we fought for is about to pay off. But I can't imagine we would've gotten this far if no t for the efforts of the Special Support Section. As a fellow police officer, I'm beyond proud of them for all they've done for us."

Then a woman and man barge in the interview.

"Yeah! The SSS are AWESOME!" The woman cheered

"You guys are Crossbell's Heroes!"

After the interview...

Grace notice an Orbal Limo passing by, park near the entrance. Coming out was an elderly woman, accompanied by Elie.

"Look! Madame Regina has arrived on the scene!" Grace exclaimed, causing their attention as two bodyguards stepped in. "Madame Regine! Could you please tell us how you're feeling with the ceremony about to begin? I'd love to hear about your relationship with your beautiful secretary while you're at it!"

"Umm... Grace..." Elie blushed red.

A Bodyguard sighed. "Not you again. Madame Regina is a very busy woman, you know."

The elderly woman chuckled. "It's quite all right. I don't mind giving her a little of my mine. Crossbell can only take this momentous step forward thanks to the help of all who live here and our many neighbors. Including those outside of Zemurian Boulders. As both a government official and as a fellow citizen of this great state..." She place her hand over her chest. "I am deeply grateful to all who supported us. But at the same time..." She lower her head, looking sad. "I also wish to live this day and tell the late Speaker MacDowell that Crossbell has finally gain its independence. And that it's regrettable that he could not be here with us..."

"Madame Regina..." Elie giving a sad and heartfelt look.

"Speaker MacDowell was a great man to Crossbell who has devoted his entire life in the office to take care of both his granddaughter and our fair city for the past years. Even for the most difficult challenges. So I pray to Aideos to please allow our late Speaker MacDowell to watch over us all as we walk toward our new future hand in hand."

In Crossbell Catherdral...

Lloyd Banning along with KeA Bannings and Cecile Neues were at the tombstone of Guy Bannings. With them is Jigglypuff, Chansey, Arcanine, and Lloyd's new Pokemon he captured and trained a while ago: Pawmot, Excadrill, Poliwrath, and Pidgeot.

"The day is finally here, Guy." Lloyd smiled, looking at the tombstone of his brother. "I know it took us awhile, but peace in Crossbell is finally within reach. Though this'll probably be where the real work hard begins..."

"Hard's got nothing on us." KeA smiled. "So long as we're together, everything's gonna be easy breezy! You guys already put in a hundred percent, and I plan on doing the same! Right, Jigglypuff?"

"Jiggy!" Jigglypuff nodded and cheered

"A hundred and ten is more like it." Cecile smiled. "And you can always count on me for support. Watch over us, Guy. Lloyd, and all of Crossbell."

Lloyd got on his feet and turn to the latter. "All right. I think it's time we got going. You and KeA both have things to the to-do list today, don'tcha?"

(Trails to Zero ost - Crossbell Cathedral)

Cecile nodded. "That's right. I was thinking of checking in on Ilya. It's only been a month since she finished rehab, and she's already got her engines running at full blast."

KeA giggled. "I'd be more worried if she WASN'T doing that! But yeah! I'm meeting Shizuku at the guild."

"Oh, yeah. She's back home after evacuating to Remiferia." Lloyd smiled. "Well, I'm on patrol before the signing ceremony begins, so I'll pop by to say hey when I'm close, okay?"

"That's works for me." Cecile smiled. "I'll see you in a bit!"

"Byeee!" KeA waved goodbye as she, Cecile, Chansey and Jigglypuff take off as Lloyd waved goodbye.

"We'll finally be independent." Lloyd look at his hand. "Whatever work I have to put in to keep it that way will be worth every second. I'm here, now and always, as a detective and a proud member of the SSS."

"Aha! There you are." A voice spoked

"Lloyd!" Another voice said as Wazy and Noel Seeker came in. Came with them were their Pokemon. Kommo-o and Boltund.

"Hey." Lloyd smiled. "So Noel, Wazy... what brings you here?"

"I'm handling security details. KeA was just here, right? I bumped into her at the signing ceremony site and she said where she'd be going." Noel Seeker said.

"And I've only been dragged here because Archbishop Eralda will be present." Wazy sighed. "This is all unusual even by the church's standards, so they needed more bodies to make the arrangements less hectic."

"Aw, come on. Don't act like you're just anyone." Lloyd said.

Noel Seeker chuckled. "Feels like it's been a while lifetime since we've gotten a chance to talk, huh? But it's only been a month since the operation. Course we part of Operation Shiny Steel, then meet up at the prince's wedding, but it got so busy after that that we haven't had a chance to really sit down."

"And all my running in and out of Arteria's made me miss just being here. So you know—it's nice to be home." Wazy smiled.

"Hasn't been the same without you, Wazy." Lloyd smiled. "And Seriously, way to go, Noel. Security details for this is no small task."

Noel Seeker saluted. "Thanks! Couldn't manage it without you and the rest of the team, though. Oh, and advise from both General Ironwood and Winter Schnee."

"Does that about cover your plans until the ceremony starts, then?" Wazy asked "My end fo the work has all but wrapped up, so I was just going to roam for a bit."

"Oh, I've got an idea. Since you're on patrol duty anyway, Lloyd... what if we made the most of meeting up this and scored out the city together?"

"That sounds great." Lloyd agreed. "As long as you know I'm on the job. We can't goof off or anything."

Noel Seeker chuckled. "I figured. It's going to be a nice little nostalgic bomb for me to do some SSS-related work."

"It'll serve as a nice change of pace for me, so why not?" Wazy wink.

"All right, then! Let's hit the streets. My open planned stops are to see KeA and Cecile, but it would be nice if we could talk to Elie since I'm sure she's hard at work." Lloyd suggest

"Sure!" Noel Seeker wink. "Now, let's get moving!"

"We can figure out where to go first along the way." Wazy said as they take off with their Pokemon as they reach the gate.

"Fancy running into you here, Father Wazy. And you've brought a couple of friends in tow." A voice said as Scarlet approached.

"Oh! Heya, Scarlet!" Noel Seeker greeted

'If I remember correctly, she's...'Lloyd thought.

"Indeed." Wazy winked. "As you can see, I've managed to sneak away from my duties long enough for a hot date with my boy toy here. We'll be patrolling the city, so I leave the rest of our work in your capable hands."

Lloyd sweatdrop, giving Wazy a deadpan look. "Can you not say things that will confuse her?" He turn to Scarlet. "Uhh, you're the squire who helped us in the operation, right? Thank you so much.'

"We didn't have much time for introductions then, did we?" Scarlet asked. "Still, I've heard plenty about you. They weren't kidding about how cute you are." She winked, causing Lloyd to sweatdrop with a nervous laugh. "Hahah. I'm just messing with you. I'm quite aware you're already taken with the secretary. Just commenting on certain people are talking about you."

"Wait, who's talking about me?" Lloyd asked, confusingly.

"Oh, don't worry about that. Anyway, Catch you later." Scarlet said as she takes off into the cathedral.

"Oh, wow... That even made MY heart skip a beat." Noel Seeker sighed.

Lloyd nervously laughed. "I don't think I've ever met a sister with an eyepatch before. Makes her look like she could hold her own in a fight."

"She's one of our newest squires." Wazy explained. "Joined about the same time as Wald, as it happens. She used to be with a terrorist organization in the Empire—even crossed paths with Thors' old Class VII, if I recall. Still, she's got a great head on her shoulders."

Lloyd and Noel Seeker sweatdrop with their Pokemon and his Pokemon too.

"Kommo." Kommo-o sighed.

"Talk about a complete one-eighty..." Lloyd said

"Then again, I'm not sure what's harder; working with terrorists or working under you." Noel Seeker comment.

"Hah!" Wazy chuckled. "She seems to be enjoying her work quite a bit, I'll have you know. Now, then! With my remaining work delegated, why don't we continue into the city?"

"Roger that." Lloyd nodded. "Oh, one more thing." Lloyd pull out his Pokeballs. "Okay guys, return." He said as he recalled Pawmot, Excadrill, Poliwrath, and Pidgeot. "All right, let's go."

They take off and enter Crossbell City to West Street.

(Trails into Reverie ost - Crossbell Nostalgic)

"Didn't you use to live around here, Lloyd?" Noel Seeker asked

"Yeah. I lived in Bellheim Apartment. It's cavated now, but I still know plenty of people from the area." Lloyd answered

"Like Oscar from the local bakery, the folks at Tallys'?" Wazy asked. "I'd say we know them just as well as you do at this point, given how much you used to go on and on."

Noel Seeker giggled. "That's just how it goes when you join the SSS."

"Oh, stop, you guys..." Lloyd nervous smile. "But hey—since we're here and all, how about we say our hellos?"

"By the way, is it me or does the city feel extra happy today?"

"It's not just you." Wazy said. "The positivity in the air is almost overwhelming. Enough for a Togepi to feel full here."

"Well, can't blame anyone. We've been waiting for this day for a long time." Lloyd said as they see Randy and Mireille sitting by Morges Bakery with their Pokemons who are eating.

Randy's new Pokemon are Rapidash and Crustle.

Randy then spotted the group approaching. "Huh. What a weird trio you guys make."

"Hi, Randy, Hi, Mireille. Doing well?" Noel Seeker asked

"I'd say they are. Are we interrupting your date?" Wazy smirked

Mireille blushed red. "Da—!? That's not what we're doing. I was asking for his input on today's security measures as a valued formal member of the Guardian Force."

Randy chuckled. C'mon. Be honest. Just say you're happy you get to spend time with me now that I've wrapped up my work in the Empire."

"N-NO! Stop making things up!"

"Whew!" Wazy chuckled. "Is it just me, or is it getting a little steamy over here?"

Noel Seeker sighed. "Knock if off, Wazy. She can't have both of you messing with her."

"Hahaha..." Lloyd nervously laughed.'It's like he never left.'"I'm sure you'll be sorely missed at the branch campus, Randy."

"Oh..."

"The operation was your way of coming back home, right?" Wazy asked.

"Yeah." Randy said solemn. "To be honest, there's a part of me that would've liked to keep on a little longer as an instructor, but that's life."

"Randy..." Mireille said solemn.

"All that means if you found another replace to hold dear. That's a great thing." Lloyd smiled.

"It wasn't without its struggles, but I gained so much by being there." Randy smiled. "Not to mention even gaining Pokemon companions. Walking in, I never thought it'd become as important to me as it is."

"Emboar" Emboar patted Randy's head.

"Oof! Haha. Easy there, Emboar, this chair is not strong enough for your strength my fiend." Randy chuckled.

"Emboar." Emboar scratch his head sheepishly.

"Anyway, sometimes about seeing just how much kids can grow in a year because of you is... well, it's nice to feel like I did right by them. I guess the same is true about Pokemon. And Look at Emboar now. He was just a tiny pig until he became one hell of a boar."

"Em em em em em emboar." Emboar laughed

"You absolutely did." Lloyd smiled.

"This almost makes me wish I could've seen you in action. I bet you made an amazing instructor." Noel Seeker smiled.

"Well, he did always have a knack for showing others the ripes at the Guardian Force." Mireille smiled. "He might look he doesn't care, but he does a stellar job of caring for others and supporting them in all kinds of subtle ways. If he wasn't there for me when I was under that sorry excuse of a commander, I don't know what I—" Mireille just realied what she said as the others including her Pokemon were staring at her, causing her to blush. "Wait."

"Ahaha... Too late."

"Secret's out now, I'm afraid." Wazy chuckled.

"Oh, wow! I didn't know you thought about me THAT much." Randy smirked

"Th-That's because I don't!" Mireille denied. "I was providing an objective perspective. That's all!"

'Is it just me, or has she gotten worse at hiding her feelings?' Lloyd whispered.

'It could be because he was away for so long.' Noel Seeker replied. 'It's not just her, though.'

Mireille coughed. "ANYWAY... Let's all keep up the good work on the job today so the signing ceremony will be a success. Do the force proud today, Second Lieutenant."

"Heehee! Yes, ma'am!" Noel Seeker nodded

"Oh, yeah. Almost forgot something in all the hustle and bustle. Rean, Levi and Junie wanted me to pass along a couple of messages." Randy said. "Rean said. 'Congratulations on Crossbell's independence. Once things have calmed down a bit, I'd love to be able to visit. Can't wait.' Levi said. 'I'm so happy you guys finally got your independence. I can't wait to visit Crossbell again. Hope we can meet up again soon.' And Junie said. 'I wish I could be there for the signing ceremony, but good luck with security. Next time I'm home, I'll be sure to drop by the SSS HQ with some souvenirs!" That's the message."

"That's nice of them." Lloyd smiled. "Now we've got something to look forward too. I'm sure there's been no shortage of work to be done for everyone at Thors."

"That's an understatement. They've been flying out all over the Empire to help get it back on its feet. Junie went back ahead of me once the operation was over. Something came up with one of her missions not long after, so she wanted to prioritize that."

"Juna was something of an SSS hopeful, wasn't she?" Mireille asked

"Yeah." Randy nodded. "She debated coming back to Crossbell for good after the operation... Ultimately, though, she wants to stay at Thors till she graduates."

"She's always been the type to see things through, so I'm not surprised." Noel Seeker smiled. "I was worried when she first went to the Empire, but it all worked out in the end."

"You two were pretty good friends, weren't you?" Lloyd asked

"Make sense when they're so alike." Wazy comment. "You're both so earnest and sincere that I could never get bored of riling you up."

"Oh, hush." Noel Seeker muttered. "Unlike me though, she found herself a boyfriend in the Empire. She's a lucky one. But anyway, yeah. I was the one teaching her how to use her gunbreakers when she was at the police academy. We got to talking then, and it turned out we had a lot in common. Love for cute animals, biking, and even the SSS. It makes me happy knowing she's found her own path in life."

"Same here. Hopefully she, Levi and Rean will be able to come by soon." Lloyd smiled.

"With how hard they work, they'll get done in no time. That means we can't afford to slack on sprucing up Crossbell, though. Gotta make it nice and pretty for 'em!"

"Yeah. Well, better get going then. Until then, Randy, Mireille."

"Later, partner." Randy said as they take off.

They first went into Morges Bakery and say hello to their friends as they catch up and then resume their patrol. They visited the Abandoned Law Office.

"If I remember correctly, this is..." Wazy look around.

Lloyd let out a nod. "Yeah. It's where our old acquaintance opened his law firm before being arrested. After that, the place was vacant for a while. The Crossbell Times apparently occupied the space until just recently."

"I had no idea." Noel Seeker trailed off

"The formal office of 'Grizzly Grim'—AKA the lawyer Ian Grimwood." Wazy said

Lloyf sighed. "All things considered, he was still a big help to us two years after Crossbell soon became Erebonian territory and we feel out of touch."

"All the more reason why you should go visit him soon." A young choice said as a young boy came out of hiding.

"Pete..."

'If I recall, Grimwood took Pete in and acted as his guardian, right?' Wazy whispered.

'Yeah. And Pete's been working part-time at the news agency lately.' Noel Seeker replied.

"Long time no see, members of the SSS. What brings you here today?" Pete (Crossbell character) asked

"We just happened to be passing by, so we decided to drop in." Lloyd answered. "So the news agency is all moved over?"

"Yup." Pete nodded. "I was just doing the final checks before vacating the premises, actually." He then look around in with a a solemn look at his face. "Y'know, as soon as we got tid of the editor desks, things got real lonely around here. It reminds me of how things were after the independence incident."

"Oh..." Noel Seeker muttered

"I can imagine." Lloyd sighed. "I'm sure it felt like your world was turned upside-down when we arrested Mr. Grimwood."

"Oh, no, please don't worry. I didn't mean it like that." Pete said. "Right after everything transpired, I also resented him. But as time went on, I found myself able to face him, and I even started visiting him in prison. All because you guys managed to step in and save him from himself."

"I see." Wazy smiled

"You're a tough kid, Pete." Lloyd smiled. "So you've been checking in on him over these past two years?"

"Yeah, in between working for the news agency. I missed a few visits because he had penal labor, but we kept in touch." Pete answered. "Between you and me, he was terribly worried when you all were working underground against the Empire. I haven't been able to visit him since last year's occupation. Once today's signing ceremony is over, I plan on stopping by. I'm certain that he's truly happy about Crossbell's independence this time."

"I'd be glad if he was. Could you give him our regards?" Lloyd asked. "And tell him we'll be dropping in eventually, too."

"But of course!"

"All right, we'll get out of your hair. Until then, Pete." Lloyd smiled

"Until then." Pete said as they take off.

They arrived at the Central Square of Crossbell and notice the banners that are hand around down.

"All the banners around town have Crossbell's emblem again." Noel Seeker smiled.

"Yeah. Makes it feel like we're back to normal." Lloyd smiling.

"Even I'm compelled to shed a tear seeing this." Wazy smiled as they wonder around a bit and see Aoi chatting with familir people.

"Hey there Aoi." Aoi called out.

"Oh, hey Lloyd!" Aoi smiled. "Wait, is that you, Wazy? Noel?"

"Hey there, Aoi, nice to see you at work." Wazy wink at him.

"Ahaha..." Aoi blushed as he smiled. "It's nice to see you too, Wazy."

"Oh my~ Isn't this a sight." The woman he was speaking was none other then Camilla of Nohr.

Camilla's casual outfit she's wearing a gray shirt where there's a hole on top of her chest. She wears a black skirt and wearing heels.

"Oh, hello." Noel Seeker blushed a bit.'She's absolutely gorgeous!'

"If I remember correctly you're..." Lloyd paused

"Camilla. I'm from Nohr." Camilla smiled. "We met during Prince Olivert's Wedding. But before that was the Great Twilight."

"Ah, now I remember the beauty I met before." Wazy smirked. "Aren't you the sight fore sore eyes, my lady. What brings you here in Crossbell?"

"Oh, I came to congratulate everyone here for their independence. I'm actually here with my siblings. We split up on the way and I was asking Aoi here for a recommendation for a nice restaurant we can eat."

"Yeah. I recommended Vingt-Sept Cafe when she ask for directions." Aoi explained

"Yep. So how are you doing, members of the SSS?" Camilla asked.

"We're actually doing great, Camilla. We're just doing some patroling of the area." Lloyd smiled

"I see. So dutiful to your work. In that case, I shouldn't keep you all busy. Thank you for the recommendation Aoi. I'll let my siblings know where to meet up."

"Of course. I'm glad I can help, Camilla." Aoi smiled

"I should be thanking you, dear boy. It was nice seeing you again, Lloyd. If you're on break, I would love to chat with you and sweet KeA. Have a good day." Camilla wave goodbye as she takes off.

"Goodbye, Camilla waved goodbye.

"If I recall, she's the eldest princess, right?" Wazy asked

"Wait, really?!" Noel Seeker asked

"That's right. She also one of the people who help with Operation Shiny Steel." Lloyd nodded. "So what about you, Aoi? Are you planning on going back to patrol?"

"I am actually. There's a street I haven't check yet so I'll be right back. Good luck to you, Lloyd." Aoi smiled as he take off.

"It's only been a few months since he join the SSS, huh?" Noel Seeker asked

"Yeah. Aoi got nowhere else to go after the Great Twilight was over. So everyone else agree that he should join the SSS. He's already been a great help to us." Lloyd smiled

"Yeah. Not to mention he's quite a skilled man. My kind of boy toy I would love to enjoy." Wazy smirked.

"Try not to tease him too much Wazy." Lloyd said as they take off until they gather some things, and head to Genten Orbal Store and walk to Wendy.

"Oh, there you are!" Wendy (A Crossbell Character.) "The signing ceremony's just around the corner. You three must have a spring in your step as you patrol the city today, huh?"

"I guess you could say that. You sound like you're in high spirits yourself, Wendy."

"It's looks like you have a lot of customers coming today. That's great." Noel Seeker smiled

"That's because we're putting on a big sale to celebrate the occasion. Plus, this is the time of year when everyone is looking for a fresh start. Suffice to say, our sales today are through the roof. Not that money is everything, of course. It's nice just to see so many happy, smiling customers, too."

"That's great." Wazy smiled. "It sounds like business is really booming. I take it that means nothing strange or unusual has happened around here?"

"Not that I'm aware of. Everything has been same ol', same ol." Wendy replied. "Guess that means you guys can't exactly take it easy and let your guards down just because the rest of us are celebrating. I get it. In that case, why not give your orbments a tune-up while you're here? Not like you'lll have time later, right?"

"You've got a good point." Lloyd said. "We may as well while we're here."

"That's the spirit. Now let's see how I can help you today. "Oh, and while I have you all here, there's something I should tell you about the ARCUS Alpha. "The Reinford Group recently put out a new version."

"Really?" Noel Seeker asked. " First the new Master Quarts AI and now a new version? Anything special about it?"

"A lot from what I can tell. You guys should try upgrading your slots for now. You'll be able to equip stronger quartz than you've used before once you get a slot up to level 3. Give me a sec." Wendy said as she begin pull out the shelves and begin looking around. "I know I've got some test samples lying around here somewhere. Ah." She pull out Sepiths. "Here they are! Use the sepith to upgrade a slot and insert that quartz! It's on the house." She handed over a brand new quartz as it glow bright and All Elements 150x Sepiths.

"You really do spoil us, you know that?" Lloyd chuckled. "Thanks, Wendy. We'll give it a whirl."

"Don't mention it." She smiled. "That's what friends are for." She said as they handed over their ARCUS Alpha and then she begin working on them for awhile. "All right. All done!" She handed it back to the group. "I'll let you all get back to it. Today's busy for us both, so here's to a smooth Independence Day, am I right? If you need me to tinker with your orbments again, you know where to find me. Repairs, upgrades, you name it. I'll handle it!"

"We'll let you know if we need anything. Thanks again, Wendy." Lloyd smiled as they take off.

They headed to the SSS building.

"Oh, wow. It's lookin' re spiffy now." Noel Seeker said as she see the sign of the SSS looking all bring new.

"Warms my heart seeing this place again." Wazy smiled.

"When did the sign get put back up, though?"

"After we repossessed the building from the Imperial Army. Everyone in the city pooled together to help us return it back to the way it was before." Lloyd answered. "And they also wanted to apologize after being called a traitor who was affected by the Twilight."

"I had no idea."

"You're all so loved." Wazy chuckled. "Hard to believe they used to call you 'bargain-bin bracers.'"

"All that means to me is we worked hard enough to win them over. And you guys were a big part of making that happen." Lloyd smiled and then looked at the building again. "Looking up at this building makes it all feel real. We're really home."

"Can't blame you with how nice and cozy it is." Noel Seeker smiled. "It's like our second home."

"Exactly. And since we're here, why not drop in and say hello?" Wazy suggested.

"The chief should be in, so yeah. Why not." Lloyd said as they go in and see Sergei and Sonya inside the building.

"Lloyd." Sergei greeted. "Hitting the pavement with Noel and Wazy, huh? How does the patrol?"

"So far, so good chief." Lloyd said. "And hello, Commander."

"I didn't realized you'd be here when we stopped by." Noel Seeker said.

"Well, surprise. I had some business to attend to here." Sonya said. "You're assisting the SSS, then? Security detail has mostly been handled, so I don't suppose that's a problem. Is it just me, though, or are you more gung-ho with their business than with the CGF's?"

"Is that how it seems? I've never really thought about it before."

"Well, if you'd like, I could arrange to have you temporarily transferred to the SSS again."

"Y-You really mean it...? Wait, hold on!" Noel Seeker shake her head and wagging her arms. "Sure the SSS is special to me, but I'm fully committed to the CGF. You know that, Commander."

Sonya chuckled. "Of course I do. I was only teasing."

"Try not to bully the youngsters too much." Sergei said.

"I'd say you're the naughty one here, Chief. Having a secret rendezvous with the commander while the kids are away? Hmm? I mean, I know you two divorced years ago, but some flames are too hard to extinguish, aren't they?"

Lloyd sighed. "Knock it off, Wazy. We shouldn't be prying into their private lives."

"Y-Yeah! It's none of our business!" Noel Seeker agreed.'Though I've been dying to know...'

"Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm here for business, not pleasure." Sonya said. "We were just discussing some of the details surrounding the signing ceremony's security."

"You've got enough on your plate. You didn't have to come all the way here, you know." Sergei said.

"Is that consideration I hear, or are you simply bitter I interrupted your quiet time? Would you rather be smoking the day away? Having faith in your subordinates is all well and good, but every great leader knows there are times when you must lead by example."

"Now listen here, lady I—"

"Don't call me "lady'. You're not getting any younger Sergei. Isn't it about time you finally quiet that smoking habit if yours? It will only—"

"I get it, already, damn! Stop bustin' my balls, Sonya."

Lloyd and Noel Seeker sweatdrop.

'That was awesome...' Noel Seeker whispered.

'Sorry, Chief, but she got you whipped.' Lloyd said until he thought for a moment. "By the way, has our runaway member shown up at all?"

"Nope. 'Fraid not." Sergei answered. "I had hoped he would by now. I'd have called you and Tio back here in an instant."

"That's a shame. It's been too long. He could at least make it back for the signing ceremony."

"Who are you talking about?" Noel Seeker asked until she got an idea. "Wait. Is this about Zeit?"

Lloyd nodded. "Yeah. H showed up to help during the operation last month, but disappeared again as soon as it ended. Tio and KeA really miss him. I wish we had any idea where he went."

"Well, he is still a Holy Beast at the end of the day." Wazy said. "It's only natural he wouldn't want to get his paws dirty in mankind's business. Maybe seeing to it that Crossbell was liberated was his final mission. Not that it's any of my business what he does. I don't think the A-Lady upstairs has any rules regarding whether he has to be a stranger."

"I would hope not! Zeit is still a registered police dog. He belongs with the SSS!" Noel Seeker argued. "I'm sure we'll see him again someday."

Lloyd nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Me, too."

"Well, if he does show his mug around here, I'll give you a call." Sergeri said. "Don't let it bother you too much, though. There's still plenty of work to do around the ceremony and all."

Sonya nodded in agreement. "Given the circumstances, the police were put in charge of security for today. The CGF will have units stationed throughout the city to provide support, but you would be wise to keep your guard up."

"Roger that." Lloyd saluted.

"We will." Noel Seeker nodded. "There's nothing our two departments can't do when we work together."

"Okay, we'll get back patrolling. Take care Chief. Commander."

"Take care, Lloyd." Sergei said as they take off.

They headed to Station Street

"Nice to see the Transcontinental Railroad's opened back up." Wazy said.

"With all eyes across the world on us, security's on high alert for the ceremony." Noel Seeker said

Lloyd nodded. "Yep. Nothing'll get past us."

"Hey, it's the SSS." A voice spoked as they see Graces, Rex with his Aipom, Kylie Koopa, and Reins together. "You guys are the talk of the city, you know. Talk about luck that I'd run into you right after I get here."

"You look familiar. Weren't you...?"

"Rex from the Imperial Chronicle. And I'm sure you guys remember meeting Kylia, right?" Grace asked

"Oh, yeah I think I remember her back during the Twilight." Noel Seeker said

"Yep! Nice to see you guys again after Battle of Jormungandr." Kylia Koopa said. "Me and Rex are here to cover the ceremony for his Imperial Chronicle while I am for the Mushroom Kingdom media. Rex here has quite the career ahead of him since he took from the frontlines of Battle of Jormungandr in the front page."

"C'mon, you're gonna make me blush."

"It shouldn't be a surprise since the Erebonians are interested in how it will go." Reins said. "Which is why we can't let them outside the Crossbell's Time' coverage, Grace!"

"Well, about that, Reins... There's something else I need to take care of, so YOU will be covering the signing ceremony!" Grace smiled, causing Rein and Rex to jaw-drop.

'WHAT!?"

"Really? What could be more important than the signing ceremony Grace?" Rex asked

"Aipom?" Aipom tilt his head.

"Yeah, it's not like you to miss out on a big scoop like this." Noel Seeker agreed.

"You're not feeling under the weather, are you?" Wazy asked. "A bout of food poisoning?"

Grace shook her head. "Nah, nothing like that. I promise it's also for work. I've got a lead on something that's been bothering me. I plan to follow up on it. And besides, we've gone over how to cover the ceremony a bunch of times, so I'm sure you'll do fine without me."

"I-It's not that that I don't think I can handle it, but this is all so sudden..." Reins trailed off

"Hmm... Come to think of it, there was something that I caught end up too. I wonder if they're both coming from the same place." Kylie Koopa place her hand to her cheeks. "Guess we'll find out after I cover everything I need."

"Man, it's tough to beat drive like that. I need to get my butt in gear, or Frace is going to leave me in her dust!"

'I've never understood journalistic rivalries but it sounds like Grace is as ambitious as ever.' Lloyd said.

'I'll say. She really takes her job seriously.' Noel Seeker said as they take off to East Street.

"It's a madhouse around here." Lloyd said as many people from different part of the world came in.

"I hear they're going to put on a big sale across the city once the signing's over!" Noel Seeker smiled

"Ah, that sound fun. Maybe I'll snag some souvenirs for my coworkers as they go into the Bracer Guild.

"Well, look who it is!" The Guild representative flamboyant man name Michel winked at them. "Welcome to the Crossbell branch of the Bracer Guild!~"

"It's good to see you looking so well, Michel." Lloyd smiled. "Is KeA here?"

She is indeed." Michel turn his head to the right. "The little princesses are both over there."

KeA, Jigglypuff are talking with Shizuna and her Pokemon companion, Miltank.

"Oh! Hey Lloyd!" KeA greeted.

"Jigglypuff!" Jigglypuff greeted

"Hello." Shizuku greeted with a smile. "It's good to see you again."

"Likewise. You look well, Shizuku." Lloyd smiled

"Aww... Thank you, So do all of you. I may have had to leave Crossbell for quite a while, but it's lovely to be back." Shizuna replied and turn to Miltank. "Oh. Let me introduce you to my Pokemon. Miltanks. Say Hello Milktank."

"Miltank!"Milktank spread her arms open and express joy as she hugged Lloyd and the others.

"Whoa!" Lloyd said.

"Ahaha! Sorry about that. Miltank is a hugger."

"Hahaha! I can see that." Lloyd chuckled as he hug back as Miltank then hug Noel Seeker and then Wazy.

"You've really grown since I last saw you!" Noel Seeker smiled

"Arios had you take shelter in Remiferia, right?" Wazy asked

"Yes. That was just before warrants were issued for him and all of you. I still feel awful about how easy I had it, relatively speaking, when times were so hard for everyone." Shizuku sadden

"You've got nothing to feel bad about." Lloyd smiled. "The letters you sent us really kept us motivated when things felt bleck."

KeA nodded. "Yeah. It's like you were right there cheering us all on. So be happy, okay? I know we're extra happy to be able to see you again." She then hug Shizuku

"Aww..." Shizuku hug back "*sniffle* I feel the same."

"Miltaaaaank!" Miltank cried in joy with the waterworks as she join in the hug. "Miltaaaank!"

"Hahaha! Come here, Miltank~" KeA smiled.

"Oh... My heart's about to burst." Noel Seeker place her hand to her chest, smiling with joy.

"It's been a hard two years, but moments like this make it all feel worth it." Lloyd smiled in pride.

"heh. We couldn't agree more." Ario said as he came in with Veyle, Mauvier, Marni, and three Bracers. And their Pokemon too.

Arios's Pokemon is Staraptor.

"Ah, hey there. Perfect timing." Lloyd smiled. "Oh, hey there Veyle. Mauvier, Marni."

"Hello Lloyd. It's good to see you." Veyle greeted with a smile as she wears casual clothes.

Veyle's casual appearance in Zemuria is a gray jacket with black straps and a white V-neck shirt with black skirts. She wears a white glove. Black socks that reach her thighs and white sneakers.

Mauvier's casual outfit is... no different to his causal outfit in Engage and Marni's outfit is similar to Mardeline's casual outfit with a pink scarf.

"Hey there Veyle!" KeA waved at her. "You too Marni and Mauvier!"

"Welcome back, Father!" Shizuku smiled

"Thank you, Shizuku." Arios smiled as Emblem Arios appeared.

"And me, Shizuku?" Emblem Arios asked

"And hello to you too, Emblem Father." Shizuku smiled.

"And, Michel, we're reporting in." Arios said.

"And we're all better for it." Michel said. "I take it you wrapped up all the work that needed to be done outside the city?"

Bracer Lynn nodded her head. "Yup! The monsters are slain, and the jobs in Armorica, Mains and St. Ursula are gone!"

Lynn's Pokemon is a Hitmonchan.

"It all took longer than we were hoping, but now we should be able to focus on the ceremony." Bracer Scott said. His Pokemon is a Hitmontop and Rapidash.

"I'm guessing you must have left early in the morning to get all that done." Wazy said

"You really are all hard workers. That's amazing." Noel Seeker smiled.

Bracer Aeolia gigled. 'We're just doing our jobs—although I am a little tired." Then turn on her creepy fangirl for cuteness. "But it's nothing a bit of love from KeA and Shizuku won't fix! Oh and including Veyle!

"Huh?" Veyle blinked.

"What?!" Shizuku blushed

"I've got plenty to spare! Will a hug do?" KeA asked with a cheerful smile.

"J-Jiggly..." Jigglypuff turn to KeA with a sweatdrop.

"Will it ever!~" Aeolia sqealed as she open her arms.

Lynn grabbed Aeolia's shoulder. "Report first, hugging later."

"Yeah. We've got a lot of paperwork to do. We'll see you all later, everyone." Scott replied as they drag Aeolia away

"NOOOO! Don' take me away from my darlings!" She pleaded, causing everyone to sweatdrop while Wazy on the other hand find it enjoying.

"Wow. That woman's a handful." Marni comment.

"Well she is a card, I'll tell you." Wazy chuckled

"Takes one to know one." Noel Seeker comment.

"Hehe! But she's an excellent friend." Emblem Tiki said as she appeared.

"Oh, hello, Tiki. It's good to see you again." Lloyd said.

"You too, Lloyd. And it's good to see the rest of you too. Working hard as ever I see."

"Thanks. And thanks you for all your efforts, Arios. I'm so glad the guild is able to get back to work again."

"I could say the same to you and the SSS." Arios said.

(Resuming Crossbell Nostalgic)

"So what brings you here, Veyle? Here for the signing ceremony?" Lloyd asked

"That's right. Everyone has been talking about it. And I wanted to visit Crossbell for quite some time too." Veyle smiled. "Of course, my brother is also here."

"Oh, Divine Dragon Alear is here too?" Wazy asked.

"That's right. He wanted to visit Crossbell with Seadall. The two of them are on a date as we speak." Veyle smiled. "Mauvier, Marni and I wanted to check out the city. We were so busy exploring that we end up getting lost." She scratch her hair sheepishly.

"The city is a bit too... flashy for my taste. Are people of Crossbell suppose to like tall building?" Marni asked

"Not all are like Crossbell." Noel Seeker answered. "Crossbell is the central trading of all over Zemuria. An that it possess some of the finest technology which explains the tall builds to make rooms."

"I suspected that was the case." Mauvier said."This world technology is more advanced than Elusia. Oh. And allow me to congratulate you all for the operation of last month a success."

"Thanks Mauiver." Lloyd smiled.

"It's so good to see the Bracers here in Crossbell are back in order again. The same with Erebonia. Fie mentioned that the Bracer Guild hasn't been active because of Osborne, right?" Veyle asked

"Yep. The late Blood and Iron Chancellor had them removed so they wouldn't interfere with his plans back then. Now that he's gone, things are back in order here in the guild. Speaking of it, It feels like a long time since the guild was able to operate here. I beleive the situation's started changing for the better elsewhere, too?"

"It sure has!" Michel smiled. "Nowhere is that moe obvious than in Erebonia, where the government crackdown is finally at an end. The guild's started sending personnel from the surrounding areas there is an effort to rebuild their presence in the region."

"There's a lot of good news coming out of the republic, too." Lynn said as she, Scott and Aeolia finish their business. "Like the rumor that a new A rank Bracer will appear in Calvard. There's talk that my master, the Immovable, has been recommended for an S-Rank, too. "

"Wow! Talk about moving and shaking!" Noel Seeker smiled.

"S is the unofficial rank given to only a handful of the continent's most capable bracer, right? Very Impressive. I'm glad the future's started looking brighter for you all."

"We're still woefully understaffed, though. We don't even have Wenzel's help anymore now that he's been roped into helping over in the Empire." Scott said

"Don't worry! We'll back you up to the best of our abilities." Aeolia smiled. "We want you to have as much time as possible to be a good dad."

"Oh, right! You're a dad now!" Noel Seeker said in surprise.

"Congratulations Scott!" Lloyd smiled.

"D'aww. Thanks for the well wishes, everyone. The birth wasn't long after Crossbell was liberated." Scott smiled. "But you're right. I can't let my wife OR our kid down. I hope you'll be able to share some of your wisdom in being a good father with me, Arios."

"Heh. I'm not sure I'd advise using me as a parenting role model..." Arios scratch his hair sheepishly before folding his arm. "Putting that aside, it's clear that the real test for Crossbell is yet to come. Given the unspeakable crimes I committed two years ago, I'm not sure how much of a part I deserve to play in any of it. Especually since I have an Emblem Self from Elyos."

"Oh, Father..." Shzuku trailed off.

"Milktank..." Miltank sighed.

"Scar..." Staraptor close his eyes.

"..." Emblem Arios close his eyes.

'I figured he wouldn't be able to forget everything so easily...'Lloyd thought.

"After all you've done ever since to help us become independent and free, surely you've earned a second chance!" Noel Seeker place her hand over her chest.

"There's precedent, for sure. There was a coup ringleader in Liberl pardoned for his help in fighting off terrorists. Of course, given the kind of man you are, I realize it's not that simple for you to reconcile what you've done." Wazy said

Shizuku approached. "Let's do what we can together, Father." Shizuku smiled. "I know you aren't ready to forgive yourself but until the day comes, I want to be the shoulder you can lean on. You've always been so supportive of me, so I just know there's nothing we can't face so long as we face it together!"

"Shizuku..." Arios trailed off.

"We'll do all we can do, too!" KeA agreed

"Jigglypuff!" Jigglypuff chine in.

"Of course. We'll always be honored to count you among our allies, Arios." Lloyd smiled. "We're all charged with protecting the people of Crossbell. So let's do that—for them and for Guy."

"The CGF will be right there with you, too! We're all united in wanting what's best for Crossbell!" Noel Seeker smiled

"We've all just gotta do our jobs the best we can, and everything else will fall into place." Wazy added

Arios had a moment of thought as Emblem Arios smiled for everyone's comforting words. "Heh. Perhaps you're right." He petted his daughter's head. "You really have grown strong, SHizuku. I almost mistook you for your mother for a second."

"Oh..." Shizuku stared and then smiled. "Heehee. I'm happy to hear that!"

"I can see the SSS has grown more dependable than I could've ever imagined back when you all started." Michel smiled. "You ever need something, you hit up your old pal Michel, you hear me? I've got your back if you've got mine. Like old times."

"That includes us too." Veyle smiled. "If you need help, give us a call. We'll gladly help out anyway we can."

"Thanks, Michel, Veyle." Lloyd smiled We'd be honored to have the guild and your support too. We should get back to patrol. Catch you later."

"Later!" Veyle waved goodbye with the others as they take off.

They head into the Fisherman's guild

"Well, well, well! If it isn't Lloyd Bannings in the flesh. Happy Independence Day!" The Branch manager greeted.

"Happy Independence Day indeed!" Salem (Not from RWBY) greeted

"I take it you SSS folks are on patrol around town?" Peter asked. "Hope you're not getting any grief on the day like today."

"It's been smooth sailing, I'm happy to report." Lloyd smiled. "And I see you've got a whole branch here today."

"Oh, yeah... I'd forgotten you were part of a fishing guild, Lloyd." Noel Seeker said

"I mean, I joed as a matter of circumstance, so I wouldn't consider it a big deal."

"Oh, come on. No need to be so modest!" Cerdan chuckled. "Lloyd's a Divine Angler, the pinnacle of fishing every fisherman aspires to."

"And there's nowhere for him to go but up!" Kopan smiled. "We can't wait to see what sorts of big'ns ya reel in next!"

"Your own popularity precedes you no matter where you go, hmm, Lloyd?" Wazy asked with a smirk.

Lloyd sighed. "Ugh, I never asked for this... But hey, being popular is often a boon for investigation, so I guess this is just a fact of life for me now."

"Have you heard, Lloyd? The Lakelord Company over in Erebonia recently bolstered their lineup." Cerda n said. "They were even kind enough to provide us with some free samples of their new products. Seeing as we need someone to put 'em through their paces anyway, why don't you go ahead and take them? Here." He pull out and handed over the new equipment and bait, and Lloyd takes it. "I figured your Fishing Notebook was probably getting pretty full of logs, so I thought, heck, might as well while I'm at it. Sometimes it can do you well to start fresh,y'know?"

"Yeah, I hear you. Thanks Cerdan. I think I'll do just that. Are you sure I can have this new rod and bait, though? That's awfully generous of you."

'Course I'm sure! I know you'll get a lot of use outfit of it. Besides, we're all eager to see what kinda critters you catch!"

"I know you're plenty busy with your work and all, but don't forget to kick your feet up every now and then, yeah?" Peter suggests.

Kopan nodded "Yeah! What he said. We should go fishin' together again sometimes, ya hear?"

"Absolutely! Whatever time works for you, we'ld be happy to tag along!" Salem cheered

"Thanks, you guys." Lloyd smile.d "I really appreciate it. In that case, I'm excited to see what this rod is capable of. I might catch some Water fish Pokemon to add to the team. Okay, I gotta get back to work. Later." He said as he takes off and they headed to Long Lao Tavern & Inn.

"Surprisingly lovely in here for it's not even lunchtime yet. I see the drinks are already starting to flow, too." Noel Seeker said

"Well, it IS a day for celebration. I think people can be forgiving for—" Lloyd then notices the familiar faces on the table. "Wait, is that who I think it is?"

"WOO-HOOO! Three cheers for independence!" One of them cheered.

"Cheers!"

"No booze for me. Sorry."

"That's the Civil Center life, huh? Who'd have thought that's where li'l old Dino would end up working?"

"Hey, people can always change if they p-put their minds to it.

"Haha. Damn right. And we're living proof!" One of them turn to the man with glasses. "Even if one of us has changed way more than anyone else. I mean, just look at him."

"Bah." The man drink from his jug. "Different day, same BS from you guys."

"Everyone having fun over there?" Wazy asked as they approached.

"Heeey! It's Wazy!" Azel cheered

"I thought you said you were busy. We'd given up on you showing your mug." Koki chuckled.

"But here you are with a side of the SSS and a Guardian Force chick!" Luganov said

Noel Seeker sighed. "I shoud've known you'd be the loud ones in here."

'It's funny seeing formal gang members having a good, clean time like this.Especially...' Lloyd turn to Wald.

"Hey there, Bannings." Wald greeted. "Can't even take it easy on a day we're supposed to be takin' it easy, huh?"

"If only. This is my job, like it or not." Lloyd smiled. "But it's good to see you again, Wald. You're looking well. I've been meaning to thank you for helping liberate the city last month."

"Heh. Don't sweat it. I was just doing MY job, the same as you. You and the CGF chuck done with your business at the cathedral, Wazy?"

"Yeah. Scarlet happily volunteered to handle things in our place." Wazy answered.

"'Happy' is going a bit far." Noel Seeker said with a nervous smile. "More like she realized that she doing it herself was going to be easier than leaving it to you."

"I figured as much." Wald sighed. "I'm really coming to appreciate just how hard Abbas had it with this guy. "

"Hey, now. I'm only like this with people I trust." Wazy winked. "I'm so lucky to have so many good people to depend on. I can say the same to our Pokemon. I could just kiss you all."

Wald giving Wazy a deadpan look. "I feel like my brain needs a shower now." He said, then notice Lloyd was starting at him. "You wanna share with the class what you keep starin' at Bannings?"

"Sorry. It's just..." Lloyd scratch his cheeks. "Well, I remember hearing your eyesight wasn't what it used to be during last month's operation, but... I'm still not quite used to seeing you with glasses on."

The gang in the table just stare for a moment.

"Oh, we TOTALLY get you. We're still in the same boat!" Koki laughed

"Glasses are meant to make you look smart, but this guy wearin' 'em is like putting lipstick on a pig." Liang said

They headed to the Harbor District. They headed to the IBC Building and see Tita with, Agate, Jona, Section Chief Roberts, her mother and Tio.

"I'm still intrigued by wanting to implement the foundation's latest tech into it." Tio said.

"Sounds like it's gonna be a real headscratcher, but that's half the fun!" Jona said.

"Hmm... We'll likely need the RF, Atlas, Gadd Science, Professor Kokonoe, Dr. Light, Dr. Pietro, Mr. Prowers, and Verne Company's cooperation to draft out the concept... " Roberts said.

"Absolutely." Erika nodded. "We plan to hammer out the finer details after the signing ceremony, so we can..."

"That whole conversation's going straight over my head..." Noel Seeker said.

"I know that younger blonde-haired girl's from the Liberl Kingdom. Didn't realize she's in Crossbell." Lloyd said, examine the group. "I don't know the other blonde in the lab coat, though."

Agate spotted the group. "Well! The hell you doin' here, Bannings? Haven't seen you since Schera and that idiot's wedding. Doing well? I know the ink ain't dried yet, but congrats on Crossbell's independence."

"Haha... Thank you. And thank again for being such a huge help with everything that went down in Erebonia."

"Oh yeah, we met a few times back during operation Shiny Steel, right?" Noel Seeker asked. "I'm Noel by the way in case you forgot."

"And I'm Wazy." Wazy said

"Yep. It's nice to see you guys too." Agate nodded his head. "Randolph's not hanging around anywhere, is he? Heard he quit his job at the branch campus."

"He's here, yeah. He came back to the SSS." Lloyd smiled. "You two fogutht together during the railway guns incident in Ordis, didn't you?"

"Hah! You know what he said when he saw me? 'Guess we redheads gotta stick together.' I like the guy—plus I owe him one since he was a good instructor to Tita."

"Ahh." Wazy smirked. "Your little girlfriend, right? I heard you were like siblings in the beginning, but now not even national borders are enough to keep your hearts apart."

"Whoa! R-Really?" Noel Seeker blushed

Agate sweatdrop. "Legit priest, my ass... What the hell kinda BS is he spreading around the church? Just ignore what he said. As for us, we'll be in Crossbell for a few days. See if you can grab Randolphs so we can go out for drinks. I'd be up for getting to know you guys in the SSS better."

"Sounds great! I'll let you know when I'm free." Lloyd smiled. "Speaking of which, about—"

"Hey, RED! I don't remember saying you could slack off!" Erika yelled as they turn to her.

"Oh. Hello there." Tio waved at them.

"Y-Yeah... Long time no see. And... ummm." Lloyd looking at Eirika.

"I thought I made it as clear as your face is stupid, Agate. The only reason I let you come in because Tita is in need of a research assistant. You've got a whole lotta nerve workin' that kaw with some other group in the middle of a meeting."

"What do you expect?" Agate muttered. "I don't know shit about you're talking 'd be one thing if it was like the activation test we started off doing or you wanted me to do some heavy lifting, but—"

Eirika jump over the group and landed near Agate. "NO EXCUSES! That's one thing. Two more, and you're on the first flight back to Liberl! And I hope you love the outdoors, 'cause your flight is gonna be through my special Crosner Catapult! HA! HA! HA!"

"Umm... Tio? Who is she?" Lloyd asked.

"She's the technical advisor at ZCF, Professor Eirika Russell. Professor Albert Russell is her father. And she's just... uh... a little obsessed with her daughter, Tita." Tio answered, causing Lloyd and Noel Seeker and the Pokemon to sweatdrop. "Since you guys are here, why don't you join us. Will that be okay with you, Professor Erika?"

"I suppose I don't mind." Eirika said as they all taken a seat.

'So what were you guys discussing about?" Lloyd asked

"About the next plan for the Orbal Gear." Tio answered. "It's going to be the fourth generation. With III and EXA now complete, we're more than for Orbal Gear IV. It was nothing special compare to Atlas Atesian Paladin- 290 or the Koopa Armstrong in the Koopa Kingdom but we've decided to upgraded it with the help of multiple companies like Epstein Foundation, ZCF, RF, Gadd Science Corporation, the remaining remnants of Atlas and inviting Professor Kokonoe, Dr. Light, Dr. Pietro, Tails and even the Verne Company. But Tita might wanna bring Ludwig and Iggy into this too."

"I know it may be a bit munch to involve him, but Ludwig and Iggy truly know their craft. It would feel wrong not to invite them in." Tita smiled. "We've only just made our first prototype, though, so there's a chance the finished product, won't be anything like what we have now. I'll be meeting with Alisa, Ludwig, Penny and her father, Tails, Ludwig and Iggy after the signing ceremony to figure out the next step."

"I imagine that with so many partners to negotiate with, I doubt progress will be smooth..." Chief Robert sighed.

"It won't, but I think major changes like Crossbell becoming independent will help inspire even more change." Tio said. "There's no better time than just after a bitter war to research new avenues into a brighter, more peaceful future. Especially the biggest threat with Salem."

"It makes sense to me." Noel Seeker nodded.

"Well, here's hoping it all comes together. If you need our help during any parts of it, you can come to us." Lloyd smiled.

"I wouldn't even hesitate." Tio giggled.

"We might be sitting among the world's next generation of top engineering minds with all they're puzzling through." Wazy said.

"I sure believe they are!" Erika smirked. "That's why I wanted to supervise and give them some input here and there. Th day's finally come when my peerless princess has left the nest to start up a big venture like this with like-minded friends. I'm not sure whether to be happy about it or wallow in partial loneliness."

"Oh, Mom! Just be happy for me!" Tita nervous smile. "It won't be easy doing this and attending Thors, but I'm as determined as anybody to make it work!" She turn to Agate with a smile. "Besides, I'll have Agate to keep me from getting in the weed. Right, Agate?"

"You know it." Agate smiled. "Whatever you need, whenever you need it, I'm always here for you, Tita."

'They really are super close...' Noel Seeker smiled

"Though they don't seem to have the innocent friendship Kevin made them out to have.' Wazy said.

'Nope. They make such a perfect couple that it's like it's second nature to them.' Tio smiled

'Maybe they've just gotten closer since he last talked to them?' Lloyd wondered until a bone chilling feeling was felt, seeing Eirika with death glowing eyeballs.

'JUST YOU WAIT, AGATE CROSNER! You'll never have my stamp of approval... Better watch your back, because one of these days... ONE OF THESE DAYS...'

'You know, maybe they should just stick to being innocent.' Tio said

'Let's pretend we didn't notice anything.' Lloyd advised as he got up. "Well, we should get back to work everyone."

"Right." Noel Seeker got up. "See you guys later!"

"Later." Tio waved goodbye as the SSS take off and headed to the Administrative District.

"Everything looks busy near the civic center right now." Wazy looking around.

"Yeah, this is where the ceremony's being held today, so I'm not surprised." Lloyd said. "This district's probably going to be even busier later."

"Yeah. Let's see if everything's in order." Noel Seeker said as they wonder around a bit.

They see Estelle and Joshua eating ice cream together.

"Mmm! Nothing beats ice cream after a job well done!" Estelle cheered.

"I'm glad that stall in the entertainment District was still there." Joshua smiled. "Although I'm guessing we won't have much time to relax like this going forward with all the guild work we need to do."

"I mean, yeah, but that's why we've got make the most of every chance we get." Estlle smiled until she notice a piece of ice cream on his cheek. "Oh, you've got some on your cheek!"

Estelle scoops the ice cream with her finger and then eat it, surprising Joshua.

"The flavor you got is really nice, too! Knew I should've gotten a double." Estelle smiled. "Amazing weather, delicious ice cream, a primo eating spot... it's like a dream!" She then notice Joshua is blushing. "Huh? What's wrong? You've gone totally red."

"I-I still can't get over the way you do stuff like that without batting an eye." Joshua said while blushing smiling. "I thought I'd gotten used to it, but you still catch me off guard sometimes..."

"Wait, what? What'd I do?"

"Don't worry about it. You want another bite?" Joshua asked

"Uhh, heck YEAH, I do. You're the best, Joshua! Lay it on me!" Estelle open her mouth. "Ahh!

Joshua sweatdrop. "Y-Yeah, maybe not in public."

"Haha. Oh, come on! We haven't had a chance to do this in ages!" Estelle smiled as she blushed happily. "Pretty please?" She asked cutely until she notice Joshua was staring at something as she turn and see Lloyd, Noel Seeker and Wazy with their Pokemon watching the scene. "Oh."

"H-Hey there, you two." Lloyd scratching the back of his head sheepishly. "We, uhh... didn't mean to interrupt.

"H-How long have YOU been there?!"

"The beginning you gave Joshua that sweet kiss on his cheek~" Wazy smirked, causing Estelle's face to turn completely red.

"I'm mortified. MORDIFED."

"Ahaha. You need't be. I'm sorry we spoiled your fun." Noel Seeker scratch her cheeks. "Though I think I've gone as red as you two now."

"Heh. Now that was a sight for sore eyes. I haven't seen a couple so clearly head over heels for one another in a while." Wazy smirked. "You were like two blissfully unaware lovebirds—"

"Gah! I was just savoring desserts, I swear!" Estelle exclaimed

Joshua sighed. "I did try to warn you. It's good to see you three again—although I suppose it hasn't been that long since Olivier's wedding."

"It sure feels like it has, given how busy we've been ever since. I wasn't expecting to run into the two of you here in Crossbell." Lloyd said.

"We're here on a job for the guild." Estelle said. "After the signing ceremony, Calvard and Erebonia are going to be settling up consulates here, see. So we were asked by the ambassadors for both counties in Liberl to escort their secretaries here. "

"Huh. That's pretty big news." Noel Seeker said.

"The ambassadors who hired us are the ones who will be serving as consuls, too. Their names are Elsa and Davil. We kind of go way back a ways with them." Joshua smiled

"You'd think they were mortal enemies at first glance, but they actually complement each other really well." Estelle added. "I think theu'll both be brilliant meditators in these difficult times."

"I trust your judgment, so that's reassuring to hear." Lloyd smiled

"Even with the war behind us, there's still plenty of diplomatic problems between the Empire and the Repiblic, like reparations..." Wazy said. "So here's hoping these consulates go some way toward normalizing things between the two."

"Yeah. That's an issue the entire region is going to need to address going forward. Still, even if they're lingering problem,s, I really beleive the world's headed in a good direction. Course, we still gotta watch out for Salem for her move."Johsua said.

Lloyd nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Considering the threat she poses and how she destroyed Atlas with endless horde of Grimm... It will poses a greater problem. But I know we'll have what it takes to defeat her. With that said, It sounds like you're going to be in Crossbell for a while longer, right? We'll have to show you what's new around the city once the signing ceremony is over."

"I'll introduce you to some of my favorite date spots. Total privacy guaranteed." Wazy winked

"Yeeeeah, I think I've had enough of being embarrassed in public for one year." Estelle muttered

"Haha... Well, I suppose we'd all better get back to work." Joshua said

Lloyd nodded." Yeah. Cya." Lloyd agreed and take off and entered the Civil Center.

"Preparations for the ceremony are well underway." Wazy smiled.

"It's really happening. Today, right here, is where it's going to be signed..." Lloyd smiled happily.

"I don't think it'll feel real even after I see it." Noel Seeker said as they go up the stairs of the evil center and see Elie, Emblem Lloyd, Regina, Sharon, Ludwig, Towa, and Alisa sitting on a meeting.

"Oh my! Madame Regina said in awe after sipping Sharon's tea.

"This is simply divine." Elie agreed.

Alisa giggled. "I'm glad it meets with your approval."

"I can feel my fatigue fading away with every sip." Towa said with relief.

"Well noted." Sharon smiled with a maid bow. It is a variety of Earl Grey from Ored particularly suited for easing exhaustion. I find it goes especially well with these cones, too."

"Thank you, very much." Elie smiled.

"Mmm. The smell is just what I expect." Emblem Lloyd smiled.

"This isn't my first time trying your tea, but I can see you've becoming better at brewing it than ever."

"Why, thank you. I have been renewing my efforts to improve ever since the war's conclusion last year." Sharon smiled

Alisa sip her tea. "So it seems. Your skills with making a cup is just as skills as Princess Peach, Sharon."

"It is serving to dispel some of the anxiety I was feeling about this afternoon's ceremony as well." Madame Regina chuckled.

"Indeed. It also relief me of some overnight work. This is simply heavenly if I do say so myself. And it's even given me a boost." Ludwig agreed.

"I hope we're not interrupting your little teaparty, ladies and gentlemen." Wazy said as he, Lloyd and Noel Seeker came in with their Pokemon.

"Ah, hey there Me, Noel, Wazy." Emblem Lloyd smiled.

"Good morning, Everyone!" Noel Seeker smiled

"I wasn't expecting to see some faces from Thors and from the Koopa Kingdom at the Civil Center. What brings you all here?" Lloyd asked

"Oh, we just came to offer Madame Regina our congratulations on achieving independence." Towa answered. "We two have a part to play in everything going on, you see."

"Oh, really?" Wazy asked

"Indeed. I'm only here to extend my congratulations to madame Regina. I plan to return to the Kingdom after the ceremony. after taking care of some business here." Ludwig said

"You may as well pull up a seat now that you're here! Could you bring some more tea and scones, Sharon?" Alisa asked

"Gladly, my lady." Sharon nodded

"Oh, we don't want to put you through any trouble! But thank you." Noel Seeker said

"Ooh. Now that's an invitation I can't refuse." Wazy said as Elie got up from her seat as Noel Seeker, Lloyd and Wazy take a seat as Sharon passed them their tea. They pick up the teacup and drink the tea. "Oh, my."

"Wow! This really is good!" Noel Seeker said with delight. "I'm generally not much of a tea drinker, but I could definitely see myself getting hooked on this."

"Same here. It really relaxes you to your very core." Lloyd smiled. "I've heard from Rean and the others just how good your tea is, Sharon, so I'm happy to have finally tried it."

"I'm honored you would speak of it so." Sharon smiled

"I know preparing for the ceremony is keeping a lot of people busy, the church included. The two of you have plenty of work on your hands, too, I take it?" Wazy asked

"Yes. Alisa's helping out with the behind-schedule dismantling of Tangram Fortress and repurposing the munitions factory." Elie answered"As for Towa, she's been invaluable in all the negotiation that allowed the ceremony to formally proceed."

"Whoa!" Noel Seeker gasped. "That's huge."

"I had no idea all of that was going on behind the scenes. We really do owe you both, huh?" Lloyd asked

"I couldn't agree more. I truly appreciate everything you're both doing for us." Elie smiled. "It's only because of the support of people from other counties like you that today's ceremony would come about at all."

"As a member of the Diet who been selected to act as Speaker, allow me to extend my sincere graduitude to you as well. In particular, I cannot thank the Reinford Company enough for its contributions, but financial and otherwise." Madamae Regine bow in respect.

"P-Please raise your head, Madame Regina!" Alisa shuttered. "We were just meeting our obligations as a company. Though if I'm honest... I just wanted to be able to help out however I can. As Alisa. Elie is my friend now, and the people Crossbell helped so much in bringing the Great Twilight to an end. I'm so grateful."

"Awww." Lloyd smiled

"Thank you, Alisa." Elie smiled

Towa giggled. "I feel indebted to the people here, too! Crossbell has been dear to my heart since I came as part of the trade conference entourage during my student years. I'm sure that while everyone helping out has their own reasons and experiences that've led them to do so... We're all united in waiting to do what we can for Crossbell, however we can."

"Heh. You're not wrong there. I know that's how I feel." Wazy smiled.

"And it's appreciated, Wazy." Noel Seeker smiled.

"I couldn't agree more." Ludwig nodded. "Many people like myself think Crossbell deserves its independence. Crossbell is a prosperous country. There were up and downs to this land, but it does make me proud to witness this special ceremony with my very eyes."

"Hear, hear." Lloyd smiled. "I really can't thank all of you enough for what you've done for my home."

"As someone who cares about Crossbell, I'm just so happy that you'll finally have your independence. But even if our international relationship changes, I hope we can stay close friends, Elie." Alisa smiled

"I feel very much the same way." Elie smiled. "Here's to lifting each other up—always!"

"You really have grown into a fine young woman, my lady." Sharon smiled

"Sitting here, it's hard not to beleive that Crossbell and the Empire can get along." Noel Seeker smiled

"I'm certain we can, too." Lloyd smiled.

"Haha. My, my. Seeing the youth being in full spirit is enough for me to work myself even harder. It brings back memories of my time with Henry. When the ceremony is over... let's pay a visit to Henry grave and let him know that our dream has come true."

"Oh, yes." Elie smiled. "I'm sure he would love that. 'I..." She lower her head. "I really miss him."

"Oh, Elie..." Noel Seeker sadden.

"Ah, yes. I heard that woman Cornelia killed him for... not heeding her word. My condolences, Ms. MacDowell." Ludwig lower his head.

"It's all right. I know that he wanted us to continue on." Elie said with a soft smile. "I know that he's watching in Aidios's halls."

"Me too dear." Madame Regina smiled.

"Yeah. I wish we can stay longer but we have to continue patrol." Lloyd said as he got up. "But we'll be seeing each other again."

"Later Lloyd." Elie smiled as they take off.

Lloyd, Wazy and Noel Seeker to the Police Department with their Pokemon.

"I see that police HQ is back in business." Wazy said. "Being here reminds me of my faithful visit two years ago to join the SSS... not to mention, the time we helped the vice commissioner."

"Haha. That brings back memories." Lloyd smiled.

"It didn't take long at all for things to get back to normal after the city's liberation. Dsismantling the military police and rebuilding our old police force for peacekeeping in the wake of the occupation was a top priority." Noel Seeker smiled

"Yeah. From what I remember, one of the people who played a big part in that was—"

"I cannot comment you enough for all your work this past month." A voice said

"Thank you, Detective. I'm sure it's been an exceptionally challenging time for you, too." A voice said as they see Machias, Fran and Alex talking to each other.

"It wasn't easy being tasked with a month-long inspection here. But that this ceremony can go ahead is in no small part thanks to your efforts. I'm very grateful."

"I can and should say the same for all the help you've given me in return. And perhaps I should save this until after the ceremony, but congratulations on Crossbell's independence."

"Heh. Thanks."

Fran smiled and then see Lloyd and the others. "Oh! Hey, Noey! Hey, guys!" She called out to them as they approached.

"Hell. Is this part of your patrol?" Dudley asked

"Must be tough. Hats off to you." Machias said

"And you." Lloyd replied

Noel Seeker grumbled. "How many times do I have to tell you not to call me 'Noey' while I'm on duty?"

"Heehee. As many as you want, 'cause I ain't stopping. And wow! Your CGD uniform really suits you, but today's outfit is just plain cute!" Fran giggled "I wanna see you in a police uniform one day. I bet you would ROCK it!"

Lloyd chuckled while Noel Seeker sweatdrop and grumbled. "You'd be hard-pressed to find a pair of sisters who get along better than those two."

"Maybe, but I really wish she'd start being a liiitle more independent." Noel Seeker sighed. "If anything, she's been getting worse since we liberated the city, telling me she wants to sleep in my bed when I go home and such."

"Where's the harm in that?" Wazy asked with a smile. "There's nothing more beautiful than sisterly love if you ask me."

"See! Wazy gets it. I need to stock up on Vitamin Noel after being away from you for so long!" Fran cheered

"I wasn't aware you were taking the two of them around on your patrol, Bannings." Dudley said. "I'm not sure how I feel about making people who aren't technically part of the force help with our duties."

"No, pay me no mind. You know wha works best for you at this point. Experience has taught me that trying to get the SSS to follow police rules to the letter is a fool's errand. I finally accepted that when you carried out that frankly insane plan to storm Orchis Tower last month."

"That WAS pretty crazy, wasn't it?" Wazy chuckled. "I know they put a lot of effort into preparing for it, but stillinto preparing for it, but still."

Noel Seeker nervously laughed. "But hey, it worked!"

Lloyd sighed. "I do apologize for always worrying everyone, though... By the way, it's nice to see you again, Inspector Machias."

"Likewise. But just call me Machias. There's no need to feel so formal with me since we're practically the same age."

"Well, if you're sure. Machias it is, then. I heard you've been staying in Crossbell for the last little while."

"Yeah. I came on an assignment from the inspectorate. I came to observe the withdrawal of military forces from the city after the war, which the recent occupation put behind schedule. And as long as we're on the subject of the war, let me thank you all again for your help with the Great Twilight."

"Don't mention it. That crisis threatened us as much as it threatened Erebonia. Still, it sounds like you've got one heck of a stressful job. You're a brace one for signing up for it."

"Heh. I get that a lot."

"Still." Wazy looking at Alex Dudley. "It's rare to see you being so friendly with someone. You're usually such a serious fault-finder."

"I've been thinking the same thing! I heard you two are constantly on little coffee dates, too!" Fran agreed.

"E-Easy, now. Don't be rude, you two." Noel Seeker scolded.

"Hmph. I simply acknowledge his diligence and dedication. Young men like him are a rare breed these days." Dudley said "His work has also given us plenty of opportunities to talk."

"We've got a surprisingly number of things in common, too, and not just our shared love of coffee." Machias smiled. "I also learned a lot from you during that case a while back that we needed up helping resolve together."

"Heh. I was just grateful for your assistance with it. While I regret that you will be leaving Crossbell today, depart knowing that coffee is on me next time you're in the city."

"Tempt me wit h a good time, why don't you? I'd be happy to take you up on tha.t I'm sure my work won't be getting any less challenging anytime soon, so it'll be nice to have something to look forward too."

The feeling is quite mutual."

'They really are two peas in a pod, huh?' Noel Seeker whispered.

'Bespectacled stress magnet in a fitted suit' sure is a specific wavelength, and yet they found each other against all odds.' Wazy said.

'I'm kind of curious what case they were referring to just now, too.' Lloyd replied.

"Ahem." Dudley coughed. "Well, be sure to conduct your patrol with great vigilance. I shall be counting on your unique perspective in rooting out potential signs of danger. Should anything happen, you are without a doubt the group able to act more flexibly."

"Yeah!" Noel Seeker cheered. "So we're really going to need to pull our weight so we don't let the team down! Come to think of it, though, it feels like everyone in Crossbell from the Empire is connected to Thors somehow. Alisa, Towa, Imspector Machias..."

"Now that you mention it, you're right."

"There are a lot of students there with connects to Crossbell in some way. Overcoming the Great Twilight was a combined effort between us and them, too. So they're very much friends fighting for the same cause." Lloyd said

"And with one man at the center of it all." Wazy said. "Rean Schwarzer, the hero otherwise known as the Ashen Chevalier. He was a huge factor in the war ending as quickly as it did. It was also he and his group who first established a relationship with the Mushroom Kingdom before our worlds were merged with other worlds. And of course, he work together with a certain prince to form trades with many outstanding people. He even has connections to gods. I've heard a lot about him from Gaius and Father Thomas back in the past, and I've met him a couple of times during the Great Twilight and that time when we were in the Sprixie Kingdom."

"Man, I can't believe one man has so many connections that help bring abundance to Zemuria. Like the Pokemon, the technology of both the Mushroom Kingdom and Remnant. Heck, even magic stuff from both the Mushroom Kingdom and Fiore." Noel Seeker said. "He's also an instructor of Thors' branch campus—and Juna is in his class."

"Yeah. Honestly, we owe Crossbell's freedom in no small part of him. He's really quite the guy. I wonder what he's up to these days. It sounds like things have at least calmed down in the Empire these past six months."

"He and the rest of his friends are probably involved in something else big, I figure." Wazy said

"You're probably right... It sounds like Juna's classmates are the best of the best, too." Noel Seeker said.

"Sounds like we can't afford to sit idly by, then. We can't let them hog all the glory. Come on. We got one place to check out." Lloyd said as they take off to the entertainment district.

"This place is always crazy busy, but it might be a little crazy today." Lloyd said

"Can't blame anyone—we've all been waiting for this day to come! Plus there's the Arc en Ciel performance tonight!"

"Speaking of, why don'r we go check in on them?" Wazy suggested

"Sure, though I bet they're up to their necks in practice. We've got plenty of other places we could pop our heads in while we're here, too." Lloyd said as they go in Arc en Ciel.

"Arc in Ciel... Heh. How nostalgic for me. The commemorative performance for the signing ceremony's tonight, right?"

"Yeah. Rixia got us all S-section seats. It'll be the same performance as the one during the operation: The Dream of a Million Nights." Juna'd said she was really bummed she was gonna miss out on this."

"There'll be plenty of opportunities to see them perform in the future. Anyway, Cecile said she'd be here, right." Noel Seeker asked

"Yeah. Let's see if we can find her." Lloyd said as they go to the stage and see and see Ilya, Rixia, Seadall, Alear, Emblem Marth, and Cecile on stage with other dancers.

"Good! This has been coming along quite nicely for us only being a month in." Ilya said. "Though, Rixia, I think you're missing some more oomph in your steps with the chorus." She turn to Sully next. "And I think you're getting stuck in your precious position with the old number of performers, Sully. Forget the old! Adjust with the new! Feel the energy of the stage! All and all, inspiring work. Inspiring enough that I think we'll nail it if we practice even more before tonight!"

"Okay!" Both Rixia and Sully nodded.

"Oh! Hey, Cecile, Alear, Seadall." Lloyd called out to them as they turn.

"Oh, hey there Lloyd!" Alear smiled.

"It's good to see you friend." Emblem Marth smiled

"Fancy seeing you all here." Seadall smiled

Alear's casual outfit is a light blue plaid jacket with a pocket with a blue V-shirt and underneath said shirt was a white shirt. He wears black trousers and a belt.

"Well, when did you sneak in?" Cecile asked with a warm smile.

"Coudln't picked a better time than in the middle of practice, couldn't we have?" Lloyd smiled

"No way. I'm happier seeing Ilya back to a hundred percent." Noel Seeker smiled

"And I keep telling her not to push it beyond that. Though I cant be too hard on her since she's bene good about it." Cecile said

"Oh, I've been taking plenty of breaks just to avoid getting a good talking to." Ilya said as she, Rixia, and Sully approached them. "If it isn't my favorite little guy with friends in tow! Doing well, I hope?"

"Hi there. It's so nice of you to stop by." Rixia smiled

"What's up?" Sully asked

"Glad to stop by. And it's nice to see you doing so much better, Ilya. If I didn't know better, I'd say you were never hurt." Lloyd smiled

"Oh, You think a few injuries could stop li'l old me? Think again~" She did as did a few dance move and then finish it with a bow.

"Beautiful as ever, Ilya." Seadall clapping.

"Even more than before, I think—or is that just me?" Lloyd asked

"You can tell?" Ilya giggled. "I've been on fire all month. I was planning out all my moves while in rehab and everything!"

"No rest for the weary performer, huh?" Sully smiled

Rixia giggled. "I don't think we could stop Ilya if we tried. We'll have to step up our practice session so she doesn't end up leaving us in the dust."

"And I'll also keep dancing and honing my craft since Ilya also thinks of me as her rival, along with Olivia and Queen Azura." Seadall said.

"That's right! And nothing inspires a better performance quite like the fire of competition!" Ilya chuckled. "I wouldn't want to be putting my all in after being injured only to see you all behind."

"Puh-lease. Like that ever slowed you down—but I'm down to keep at it, yeah." Sully said.

"Well, I'm sure whatever you give us tonight is going to blow us away." Lloyd smiled. "Thanks again for inviting us to your performance, by the way."

"Don't think anything of it." Rixia smiled. "It's to thank you for all your help. It really is too bad Juna can't come... And I was hoping to dance with Olivia and Azura too. Here's hoping Juna'll be able to see the next one. I want to show her just how much work we've put into this!"

"I'm sure she's looking forward to it as much as you are."

"I'm so happy. Arc en Ciel really is back!" Noel Seeker smiled in joy. "Between this and being independent again, it's like today's full of dreams come true."

"Those dreams turned real only because people never gave up on the good fight." Ilya wink. "The second I'd set foot on the stage for our surprise performance, I know our home was ours again."

"Me, too! Your performance was just too inspiring for us to fail!"

"I never expected you'd put on a show so polished when we only asked you for a distraction." Lloyd said.

"Heh. Yeah. We really pulled on a heck of a performance for something right at the last minute." Sully smirked.

"And since it was only a week since you finish with rehab, too. Your willpower is something to behold, Ilya." Seadall smiled.

"Haha! Thanks Seadall. And your performance is just as captivating to our audience as well." Ilya winked. "Not to mention you even got a ton of fans who wanted to meet you after the operation was a success."

"Ahaha. Oh yeah. Seadall was quite a popular attraction." Alear chuckled.

"Well Seadall is a famous dancer in Solm, so it shouldn't be a surprise if he can match up someone skill as Ilya.' Emblem Marth replied. "And to think that you managed to overcome the impossible too. You truly are an inspiration, Ilya."

"Impossible? I don't know the meaning of the word!" Ilya chuckled "You know, the troupe had even less time to put on last year's performance."

"That shows only went off as well as it did 'cause everyone eas helping us scramble last minute..." Sully said.

"I honestly didn't think we would go so well. Class VII really brought so many people who can help bring out the jewel." Rixia smiled.

"And it even help lit a fire under my butt to help me push through rehab." Ilya smiled. "Thinking about it, with me, Rixia, and Theodor back, Arc en Ciel is a full house again. That reminds me, Seadall. So you sure you don't wanna work part time here? I don't want to disappoint our fans if we don't have our celestial prince with us."

"Aha... As tempting as the offering sounds. I would like to continue traveling." Seadall smiled.

"That's a darn shame. Oh well. It would be nice with the Mira and food you'll gain though."

"Oh now you're trying to tempt me..." Seadall sighed. "But I can't help but feel competitive with you. So I suppose I can be here part time if needed."

"Great! Now that we made Crossbell wait long enough for our grand return. Let's make tonight our best performance yet." She turn to her crew. "And that means practice, practice and practice! Come on, then! Everyone, start getting ready for rehearsal!"

"Yes, ma'am!" The troupe responds as Ilya, Seadall and Sully group up and begin the discussion.

"Haha. She's going hard on this one." Alear smiled.

"I just hope she's not going too hard." Cecile sighed.

"I think these past couple of years were a little longer for her than most.' Rixia said. "Between that and tonight's performance proving that Arc en Ciel is back for good, she's fired up as can be. I'm sure it's all she can think about."

"I can understand why. But make sure she doesn't go overboard, Rixia." Emblem Marth said.

"Of course. You can leave her to us. In fact, I need you to be happy so you can look forward to tonight."

"That I can do. We'll be rooting for you." Lloyd smiled.

"Rixia! We can't do rehearsal without you!" Ilya called out as she approached the group. "It's like you get absorbed into your own little world whenever he shows up." Then she poke Rixia's chest.

"Eeep!" Rixia jump and covered her chest. "W-Was that really necessary?"

"I-I don't believe my eyes! Did you go up a cup?!" Ilya gasped and then got on her pervert side. "How those monster melons continue to evolve, I'll never knew... I better inspect for padding!"

"Could you please stop!" Rixia begged while Lloyd, Noel Seeker, Alear and Emblem Marth sweatdrop while Wazy enjoys it.

"Okay." Seadall grabbed Ilya's ear.

"Ow!" Ilya winched

"The last thing we need for you right now is sexually harassing Rixia right now. Come on, Rixia, let's continue rehearsal." He then dragged Ilya.

"Ow! Seadall! That hurts! Rixia! Help meeeeeee!"

Everyone sweatdrops while Rixia sighs.

"W-Well... ahem... I... better go practice! Until then!" Rixia said as she takes off.

"Um..." Alear scratches his cheek. "What was that just now?"

"It's... not something someone as innocent as you should experience something like this Alear." Emblem Marth scratch his cheek.

"Come on now. Aren't you enjoying the feast before your eyes, gentlemen?" Wazy smirked.

"Waaazy." Noel Seeker glared at him.

"Ahaha. I guess we can count Seadall to keep Ilya in check for me." Cecile chucked.

"Oh that reminds me, Lloyd." Alear said. "I forgot to mention something before you head out to patrol." Alear said.

"What is it?" Lloyd asked.

"Recently, Mother found an ancient scroll back in Lythos Castle."

"You call for us, Mother?" Amia asked.

"That's right. I found something interesting that you should know." Lumera nodded as she pull out a scroll. "This is an ancient scroll that reveal a ritual that can summon Emblems."

"A ritual to summon Emblems?" Alear asked in surprised.

"Yes. I thought this was lost in ancient times. If we follow the instructions of this scroll, we may be able to create new Emblem Rings."

"Whoa! That sounds incredible Mother! Is it possible we can make it happen?" Amia asked.

"It should be possible. The last time the ritual was used was during the Fell Dragon War. I never knew at the time but now we can perform that ritual. It even possible we can choose any heroes worthy to be Emblems."

"Wow. Now that sounds incredible." Lloyd said. "Were you guys able to make it work?"

"We haven't started it yes, but we might succeed. And if it does, we'll gladly introduce the new Emblem." Alear smiled. "Speaking off, I also like to talk to you about the Emblem Rings and Bracelet. Since you know I'm the Fire Emblem, I can summon both the Emblem Rings and Bracelet. If there's someone you want to wear, just talk to me or Amia."

"Wow! So we can choose whichever Emblem to fight alongside with?" Noel Seeker asked

"Yep. And if someone is using the Emblem, I can telepath that person and request permission. If they say yes, the Ring or bracelet will reappeared in my hands. So remember if you like to wear an Emblem Ring. Just give me a call."

"All right. Sounds like a plan. Thanks for the info, Alear." Lloyd smiled

"No problem." Alear smiled before he look serious.

"Is something wrong? You look serious Divine One." Noel Seeker said.

"Oh, no. It's nothing but... I thought something was... amiss." Alear said.

"What do you mean?" Lloyd asked.

"Well... It may be my imagination but..." Alear turn to Ilya. "No, never mind. Anyway, I'll stay here and watch the show. You guys have luck with your patrol."

"All right, but if there's anything strange, let us know, okay."

"Same to you." Alear said as they ake off.'Was it my imagination?'Alear glance at Ilya.

With Lloyd and the others...

Lloyd received a phone call.

"Oh. I think that's yours, Lloyd." Noel Seeker said.

"Yeah. I wonder who it's from." Lloyd pull out his ARCUS Alpha and answered it.

"Dudley speaking. How goes your patrol, Bannings?"Dudley asked

"All good. We're just finishing up our rounds, actually." Lloyd answer. "Nothing out of the ordinary to report for now."

"Good, perfect timing. In that case, I have something for you to do. There's something I want you to check at the old law firm on West Street."

"That place? Did something happen? Shouldn't Pete be there helping with the move?"

"Yes, he's the one who called it in. He reported hearing monsters underneath the building."

"Right! That building has another entrance to the Geofront connected to it It leads to the S-II area of the B-Sector. Class VII used that entrance last year."

"It could be nothing, but we should play it safe with the signing ceremony so close. I already realized we're all busy right now. However, the SSS is the perfect fit for a check like this."

"No, you're right. We'll head there right away."

"Great, but if you need more time to finish what you were doing, then that's fine, too. Thanks for the cover, Bannings."Dudley then hangs up.

"You heard the man." Lloyd put his ARCUS Alpha away. " We've got an old-fashioned support request on our hands."

"Hoo boy. Still bring saddled with busy work, are we?" Wazy shrugged. "Talk about a blast from the past. So, that old law firm has a monster infestation on its hands?"

"There should still be time to take care of it before the signing ceremony." Noel Seeker said

Lloyd nodded. "Yeah. I'm all for covering our bases before the ceremony begins, too. Let's go speak with Pete."

Lloyd, Wazy, and Noel Seeker headed to the Abandoned Law Office and meet up with Pete.

"Ah, you all came." Pete said.

"Yeah we got the details from Dudley. You've been hearing a monster roar around here?" Lloyd asked

"Yes. I was just double-checking we'd cleared everything out when I heard something from the back." Pete nodded as they turn to the door. "It wasn't a normal growl, either. It was... strange. Almost artificial, I'd say?"

"Well, color me intrigued." Wazy fold his arms.

"Sounds like we're up." Noel Seeker said

Lloyd nodded. "Yeah. We need to look into this, especially with the signing ceremony about to begin. Let's get ourselves together and then begin the investigation."

"Thank, guys. I really appreciate it." Pete said as he open the door as Lloyd, Noel Seeker and Wazy go through with their Pokemon.

"Should we probably call over at least one or two more core member of the SSS?" Wazy asked

"Good point. This is a formal request from Dudley, after all." Noel Seeker agreed.

"You're right. In that case..." Lloyd pull out his ARCUS Alpha and begin calling Elie and Aoi. "Hey there, Elie, Aoi. Sorry to call you both out of the blue but Dudley got a call from Pete that a monster was heard in the Geofront. According to Pete, the monster souned artificial. Can the two fo you come?"

"Yeah, of course! I'll be there right away."Aoi nodded.

"I just finished my meeting with Madame Regina, so I'll head over right away."Elie replied

"Great. We'll be waiting." Lloyd said as he hang up.

"Once everyone's arrived, let's head in." Noel Seeker said

Lloyd nodded. "Yeah, we can—" Lloyd suddenly got a call as he pick up his ARCUS.

"Blowing up over there, Mr. Popular?" Wazy asked as he answered the call.

"Hey there, Lloyd."Rixia greeted.

"Hey, Rixia. What's up?" Lloyd asked

"Umm... So morning practice just ended here, but I'd like to get some more exercise in. I was wondering if there's anything I can help with. Sorry if this is bad timing—I know you're in the middle of work and all. Actually, where are you right now?"

"Funny you should ask... We're in the Abandoned Law Office because we got a report from Dudley from Pete about a monster in the Geofront and we're going to investigate. I just called Elie and Aoi to back up us."

"Really? Talk about good timing. Would you mind if I tag along?"

"A-Are you sure? What if you get injured before the big performance?" Noel Seeker asked

"Heehee. Monster-slaying over in the Geofront isn't that dangerous. Just think of it as me warming up for tonight's show!"

"Honestly, it'd be a heck of a boost to have her with us." Wazy said.

"Good point" Lloyd nodded. "All right, Rixia. We'd be glad to have you. Think you can come over to the formal law office?"

"No problem. I'll be right there after I get my stuff together." She said she hang up.
