Hello everyone, here is the next One Shot

This is from mute, and if the others never were mad at Ace for not talking to them and Ace got to tell about his muteness himself

Hope you enjoy

Read and relax

Ace gave a silent sigh and looked at Deuce. 'I think it's time to tell everyone'. Deuce nodded. "Okay. How do you want to do it?" Ace sighed. 'I don't know… I just hope they will take it okay…' Deuce moved a hand to his shoulder. "Ace, they will. They care for you already. No one will think of you as weak." Ace hoped so, but he couldn't get himself from thinking they would think of him as too weak to be here. He shook his head, going to try not to think of that. He would try to believe Deuce. He was usually right.

They then went and found Marco, who was speaking to someone, so they waited until he was alone, before they approached him. And Marco looked at them. "Hi, Ace, Deuce, yoi." Ace made a small motion with his hand as a hi, Deuce actually giving a hi. Marco then looked at them curiously, asking silently what they wanted.

Ace gave a sigh and looked at Deuce, who made a small motion to him. "Ace has something to tell." Marco nodded. "And what is that, yoi?" He asked, looking at him, and Ace felt this was a mistake and wanted to just leave. But he couldn't now. He had started this. Deuce gave a small sound. "...You have no idea why we're here and wanting to speak?" Marco hummed. "Honestly, no. Ace doesn't really speak much, yoi." Deuce blinked. "Doesn't speak mu- Oh my God, how have you been able to keep this such a secret, Ace!" Ace shrugged. 'I don't know. Not spoken, you know'. Deuce moved a hand to his face. "I can't believe this." Marco frowned a bit. "Can't believe what?" Deuce sighed, looking at him. "The best would just be to show him, you know." Ace knew that, but he didn't want to anymore.

Deuce nudged him when he didn't do anything. "You can't bail now." Ace knew it, and moved a hand to his face, no idea what to do now. Should he just show? Marco moved a hand to his shoulder. "What is it, Ace? Why are you not speaking?" Ace gave a small shrug and moved his hand to his other arm as he felt unsure. 'I kinda can't'. He said, half to himself, and when Marco just looked confused, he looked at Deuce, giving a nod to him, which had him nod back, before looking at Marco. "Ace can't speak." Marco frowned. "What do you mean? You speak a lot with him, he just doesn't speak with us, yoi?" Ace wished he could speak with them, but he couldn't. Another reason they would think he wasn't useful.

Deuce nudged him again. "Just show." Ace nodded, and took a last breath, before he moved a hand slowly to his scarf and took it off. When it was off, he could see Marco looking shocked. "What happened, yoi!" Asked Marco, and Ace had no idea what to say, so he looked to Deuce for help, who gave a comforting look, before looking at Marco. "We met this marine vice admiral, who thought Ace was someone else, when he figured he had the wrong person…" Marco blinked. "He slit Ace's throat?" Deuce nodded. "Wanted him dead, barely managed to save him. But not his voice." Marco frowned. "But how do you speak, yoi?" Deuce hummed. "Oh, I can read lips." Marco blinked. "So, Ace really can't talk?" Ace shook his head, same with Deuce, who spoke. "No, he can't." This was it, now he would be asked to leave.

Marco looked a bit troubled "What about sign language, yoi?" Deuce shook his head. "None of us know it. I can read lips since I was deaf for a year as a child." Marco nodded. "Makes sense. Would you like to learn it, yoi?" Ace blinked. What? He then looked at Deuce. 'What does he mean?'. Deuce hummed. "He wants to know if you want to learn sign language." Ace blinked. 'But why?' Deuce hummed. "My guess, so you can be able to talk to the others as well." Ace had no idea what to even think now. Marco looked confused, so Deuce spoke. "Ace just didn't get why you asked that, he was sure you would think of him as weak or something." Marco frowned. "Why would we do that? A vice admiral is a tough fight for anyone, especially a new pirate, yoi." Ace didn't expect them to be so understanding.

Marco then moved his hand. "We have many who know sign language, just the basics, and also a few who know all of it. They would be willing to teach you, yoi. So we can speak." Ace would like that very much, so he nodded and didn't know what to say. Marco hummed. "But, the rest need to know as well, yoi. If you want, I can tell them." Ace nodded. 'I would like that'. Marco looked at Deuce, who nodded. "He would like that. He still feels, well, ashamed." Marco blinked, before he moved a hand to his shoulder. "Don't feel ashamed. You couldn't control this. This doesn't make you weak or anything, yoi." Ace sighed. 'Maybe'. Marco seemed to get that one, and smiled. "You are a strong person, Ace. This proves that, you've done your best to go on. And you've managed." Maybe he had.

Marco hummed. "Let's go tell Pops first, and then we can take it from there, yoi." Ace nodded slowly. That should work. Hopefully this will go fine. They then went to Whitebeard, and Marco did the talking. Ace had put on his scarf again as they walked, and when Marco mentioned for him to show, he slowly took the scarf off, Whitebeard looked shocked when he saw his throat. "What happened, son?" Okay, he still said son, that had to be good, right? Marco told what they had told, and Whitebeard looked worried. "So, you really can't talk at all?" Ace shook his head, no he couldn't. Whitebeard nodded. "I see. Do you know sign language?" Ace shook his head, and Marco spoke. "No, but he would like to learn, yoi. " Whitebeard nodded. "Then, let's make that happen. You do need to tell everyone. You can choose yourself if you want to show your throat." Ace nodded, he didn't want to show everyone his throat.

He was worried for how this would go, but when everyone was told the next day, during meal time, and Ace didn't want to be present, not wanting pitying looks, he felt worried when people started coming out of the galley, but no one gave him pitying looks, just a few worried ones, and Izou approach him and asked when he wanted to learn to learn sign language, and Ace said he wanted as fast as possible. Deuce was thankfully there to translate, and they decided to start later that day. It was just past lunch anyway.

They then started the lessons, and everyone wanted to learn too, so they could speak to him, which made him feel really warm inside. They all seemed to still like him, which made him feel good inside. Everyone was really nice to him. It felt weird, he didn't know everyone would be so nice to him. It felt really good. When he managed to get hold of sign language, it was nice to be able to speak to others, and they were all so nice. What was even nicer, was how after a couple months, Marco knew how to read lips as well, it was so nice, to have people who cared about him this much, that hadn't been on his crew.

He felt welcomed and loved here.
