The next day I texted Cindy if she would like to go see a movie with me. She texted me back that she'd like to. Of course, I decided to take her to see a romantic comedy since she loves romance movies. When I got to the Fairiksen family's house, I rang the bell and Tom answered the door.
Tom: Yes? Oh, hi, Neil! Come on in!
Neil: Thank you, Tom!
I went inside and was amazed by the inside of the house. It looked like it popped right out of a fairy tale book.
Neil: Is your sister home?
That's when Cindy came downstairs.
Cindy: Oh, Neil, you're here! Welcome! Would you like a tour before we head for the movie theater?
Neil: Well, yes, of course!
Cindy gave me a tour of the house. I got to see all the rooms and the backyard. Well, Cindy saved her bedroom for last.
Cindy: I don't normally let anyone in here. But for you, Neil, I'll make an exception. Now, I have to finish getting ready. Do you mind waiting for me downstairs?
Neil: No problem!
With that, Cindy went to the bathroom and I went downstairs to wait for her in the Living Room. However, when I got there, there was Willow. When she saw me, she smiled at me.
Willow: Hello there!
Neil: Oh, hi! You must be Cindy's mother. Nice to meet you! I'm Neil, a new friend of hers!
Willow: Oh, my little baby's all grown up!
It seemed to me she was gushing about it. Just then, Gregore came into the room. I found him to be the biggest of all the Fairiksens!
Gregore: Hi, sport! I'm Gregore! But you can call me Greg! That cool?
Neil: Yah, that cool!
But then, I noticed someone else coming.
Neil: (thinking) Oh no, not that Ferocia again!
You see, I knew Ferocia because my dad told me about her.
Ferocia: Well, well, well! Young Shadowton! Now don't look surprised! I know your dad and I haven't seen each other since-.
Neil: You stuffed party poppers in my dad's ears!
Ferocia: Hey, we had a laugh!
Neil: You did! But Dad didn't!
My dad warned me about Ferocia before.
Ferocia: If you're on the honor roll, I'm gonna barf!
Just then, Tom and His Highness came out from behind a couch.
Tom: You're dating my sister? Ha! Good luck with that!
Neil: What are you talking about, Tom? You two are my friends after all!
Willow: Speaking of, where is Cindy?
Neil: Upstairs! She would be right down.
Perhaps I shouldn't have said that! Because at that moment, all five went upstairs. From the Living Room doorway, I heard what was going on. And just as I have been told, Cindy was upset that they trespassed in her private space.
Cindy: GET OUT OF MY ROOM, NOW!
I was surprised! She was territorial of her bedroom, just like I am of mine. Anyways, when she got a chance to calm down, she asked the question.
Cindy: Mom, Dad, quick question! Can I go with Neil to the movies, pretty please?
Willow: Of course you can, sweetie!
Excited by this, Cindy went downstairs to join me. But Tom followed behind.
Tom: What about me? If she's going, then I wanna go.
Neil: I'm sorry to tell you this, Tom! But I'm afraid it's just going to be me and Cindy, this time. I'll take you to the movies another time! Sound good?
But unfortunally, Willow and Gregore had other ideas. For the second time in a row, Tom was allowed to tag along. Cindy was upset by this! It wasn't part of the plan!
