When Cindy and I got back to the party, everyone was surprised to see me in my true form.
Cindy: It's okay! It's our friend, Neil! He may look scary, but he's really kind and gentle.
Neil: It's true! I may be back to my true form, but I'm still your friend.
And to my surprise, everyone seemed to like my true form. They weren't scared of me at all!
Later after the school dance was over, I escorted Cindy home. When we got to the Fairiksen house, we smiled at each other.
Cindy: Thank you for a wonderful night, Neil! I really enjoyed it!
Neil: Me too, Cindy! This has been the happiest night of my life.
Cindy: Mine too!
Then, Cindy kissed me and waved goodbye to me.
Cindy: Good night, my prince!
Neil: Sweet dreams, my princess!
And I left for my home with a happy look on my face. When I got home, I told Mom and Dad about what happened. Unfortunally, Hexton overheard what I said and, boy, was he mad.
Hexton: I can't believe that girl didn't care about the monster young Shadowton is! Now, they're even closer together!
Later in his lab, he was plotting another plan to make me and my family appear guilty, so that he can get rid of us and make Cindy stop loving me.
Hexton: Maybe I've been going about this the wrong way. How can I get rid of the Shadowtons?
That's when he got another sneaky idea!
Hexton: I know! I'll film the destruction I made while I'm off camera. Then, when the Shadowtons arrive, I'll make sure everyone will blame them for the mess and I'll finally be rid of them and the young Shadowton will never see his beloved girl again. I'll do it in the afternoon tomorrow!
But what Hexton failed to realize that I was standing outside the door and out of sight. I had overheard his plan and knew that this time, Hexton had gone too far. With that, I found Igen settling in for the night and told him what I heard Hexton say.
Neil: Igen, tomorrow morning, I need you to take me to the Fairiksens' place.
Igen: What? Why?
Neil: My family is in terrible trouble! EVERYONE in Coulvice is in terrible trouble! I need the Fairiksens' help to save everyone in the city.
Igen: Oh my! At your service, Master Shadowton!
Some people say that one good deed leads to another! I'm helping the Fairiksens by keeping their Fairyland traits a secret. Now, I need the Fairiksens' help to save my family and expose the truth about Hexton's plan.
The first part of my plan was simple! If I can warn the Fairiksens of Hexton's plan, maybe we can find a way to expose his true nature. Maybe! Just maybe!
Neil: Tomorrow, it'll be time for Hexton to learn that evil never wins!
The following morning, even before the sun had come up, Igen and I climbed into my limo and headed for the Fairiksens' house. This time, when I got there, Cindy answered the door herself.
Cindy: Neil! What's the matter?
Neil: I'm afraid I need to talk to you and your family in private, Cindy. It's urgent!
Not one to argue with urgent, Cindy allowed me inside and closed the door. Later, when I told the Fairiksens what Hexton was planning, they were horrified.
Willow: If he uses the book for evil, it could destroy the city.
Gregore: And everyone in it!
Tom: Even our friends and neighbors!
Cindy: And our social lives will be ruined.
His Highness: This won't do at all!
And for the first time, even Ferocia decided to help.
Ferocia: I like being evil, but no one messes with my family.
Neil: We've got to find a way to expose him!
And together, the Fairiksens and I came up with a plan to stop Hexton from using the magic book for evil.
